Image Credit: YouTube / Citizens Hearing on Disclosure The researcher and author was best known for his work investigating alleged extraterrestrial implants. A well known figure in the UFO community, Leir's work gained worldwide attention thanks to his investigations in to the phenomenon of alien implants and his alleged removal of several such objects from the bodies of abductees. These 'devices' appeared to exhibit anomalous isotropic ratios and chemical compositions comparable to those found in meteorite samples, leading Leir to conclude that they may be extraterrestrial in origin. Several prestigious laboratories have examined these objects over the years however the results remain both controversial and inconclusive. In addition to his research, Leir has also been a speaker at multiple international conferences and symposiums and has appeared on numerous television and radio shows to discuss his work. <<snip>> Good Bye Dr. Leir All, I apologize, as I know that this is a bit dated, but in preparing to renew my ET website domain tonight, I checked my other e-mail which I listed on Network Solutions domain registry as my contact e-mail. In defense of the tardiness of the letter....these days, I am loath to expend much time on that e-mail address due to to all of the hundreds advertisement spam that I find in the mail-box. Anyway, this is a letter I received a couple of weeks ago from my good friend Victoria Liljenquist who knew (and everyone else it seems in ETology) Roger Leir personally. There is a bit of interesting info in the letter, and she did ask to share it with others, however late it may in fact be... plutronus============ Victoria's Letter Follows ============= "Victoria Liljenquist" <victoria@victoriaslight.com> Date: Tue, 18 Mar 2014 12:32:30 -0600 Subject: Memorial video by Jose Escamilla in memory of Dr. K Roger Leir - We send you Joy Roger on your Next Adventure BEYOND and will miss you! Love Always - Jose =========== An article about Dr. Roger K. Leir -- CHRISTOPHER O'BRIEN =========== Dr. Roger Leir, Podiatrist and Researcher of Alleged Alien Implants, Dies in a Hospital While Preparing for Surgery on a Foot He Had Surgery Complications From in a July 2010 Car Accident After Leaving a MUFON Symposium! Sunday, March 16, 2014 I'm sad to announce that Dr ROGER LEIR passed away yesterday, Friday March 14, 2014 while preparing to go into surgery on his foot. He had excused himself to visit the hospital men's room and never came out. The official cause of death has not yet been announced. I find it ironic that a podiatrist still suffering from medical complications for an injured foot should die while in the hospital before his medical procedure. In July 2010, Leir suffered a bad roll-over car accident while returning home from the International MUFON symposium in Irvine, California. He injured his foot and stomach and was hospitalized for some time before returning to his various projects. Dr. Roger K. Leir, author of the: "Aliens and the Scalpel" - First and Second Edition, "UFO Crash in Brazil," "Casebook Alien Implants," "Chopped Liver" and three other books published outside the United States, including "Implantes Alienegenas" published in Portuguese in Brazil, and "Ovnis and Implants" published in France by Le Mercure Dauphinois. It has been said that Dr. Leir was one of the world's most important leaders in physical evidence research involving the field of UFOlogy. He and his surgical team had performed fifteen surgeries on alleged alien abductees. This resulted in the removal of sixteen separate and distinct objects suspected of being alien implants. These objects have been scientifically investigated by some of the most prestigious laboratories in the world including Los Alamos National Labs, New Mexico Tech, Seal Laboratories, Southwest Labs, the University of Toronto, York University, and the University of California at San Diego. Their findings have been baffling and some comparisons have been made to Meteorite Samples. In addition some of the tests show metallurgical anomalies such as highly Magnetic Iron that is without crystalline form, combinations of crystalline materials mixed common metals, growth of biological tissue into or out of metallic substances, as well as isotopic ratios not of this world. Dr. Leir has also been involved in investigations of other areas of Ufology involving physical evidence. He has traveled to Brazil and performed exhaustive research intothe Varginha, Brazil case. In 2003 Dr. Leir worked with one of the worlds leading geneticists and the National Institutefor Discovery Science (NIDS) on a DNA study pertaining to evidence collected in a famousCalifornia Alien Abduction Case. Dr. Leir was a recent participant (NOV. 2007) in aninternational press conference held at the National Press Club in Washington D.C. Evidence from thirteen Military officers, pertaining to their experiences with UFO's was presented to a worldwide media. Dr. Leir a longtime Podiatric Surgeon, had been in private practice inVentura County, California, for the past 43 years. Dr. Leir had anticipated performing more surgeries in the future and was investigating the physiological and biological aspects of the Alien abduction phenomenon. He had recently formed a 501(C) 3 non-profit organization for this purpose called "A &S Research Inc." Dr. Leir held academic degrees of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, Bachelor of Science, and Associate in Arts. Dr. Leir was Board Certified in the following boards: - The National College of Foot Surgeons - The American Board of Podiatric Sports Medicine - The American Board of Foot Surgery - The American Circulatory Society and the Society for Non-Invasive Vascular Technology. Dr. Leir was an international speaker and has presented his material at conferences in the United Kingdom, Brazil, Turkey, Japan, Australia, France, Canada, Peru, Mexico, Italy, San Marino, totaling 42 countries in the past 7 years. Dr. Leir is one of the very few researchers in the field of UFOlogy to have been invited to present his findings at a meeting of The Society for Scientific Exploration in Paris, France. He has also appeared on a wide variety of radio and television shows including: - The Orlando Jones Show, - The Bronx Bunny Show, - KTLA News, - Fox News, - The Prime Time NBC Special "Confirmation," - "Beyond Bazaar," - "Coast to Coast" with Art Bell and George Noorey, - "Dreamland" with Art Bell and - Whitley Strieber, "The Bob and Zoh Hieronimus Shows." He has recently been filmed for an appearance in Walt Disney's new film, "Race to Witch Mountain" which is scheduled to screen in your local theater in 2009. Dr. Leir held the distinction of being the only speaker invited to the Bay Area UFO Conference every year since the inception of this event. In addition he was an invited speaker to the European division of the Society for Scientific Exploration in Paris. Dr. Leir was the Master of Ceremonies at a new conference in Santa Maria, California - The Central Coast Science-UFO Symposium held August 16th and 17th 2008. Over the past fifteen-plus years Dr. Leir had pursued a quest for knowledge within this field with great intensity. As a result he serves as a medical consultant to the International Mutual UFO Network. He was also past State Section Director for Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties. Dr. Leir was involved in the production of a major motion picture "Earths Original Sin." He was one of the few people granted an interview with one of the Vatican's most prestigious Monsignors (Monsignor Corrado Balducci) to gather material for his motion picture project. He was also working w/ videographer Ron James on a documentary that coveredhis many years in UFOlogy. -- CHRISTOPHER O'BRIEN

You mustn't lose it." Robin Williams lived an amazing life before his death at the age of 63. In the beginning of his career, Williams struggled as a street mime in front of New York’s Museum of Modern Art; by the end, he was the type of performer who could lift the spirits of a long-time friend in the hospital to our nation's troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and Kuwait and everyone in between. Moreover, once Williams reached the top, he remembered to look back on where he came from: The actor famously helped Jessica Chastain become the first person in her family to go to college, funding her full-ride scholarship to Juilliard when she was just starting out herself. There's certainly no doubt Williams will be missed by both fans and colleagues. Below are some of the little known moments of Williams' inspiring career. 1. Robin Williams improvised most of Genie for "Aladdin." 2. Robin Williams dressed in scrubs and surprised his friend Christopher Reeve in the hospital following his career-ending accident. 3. During the filming of "Schindler's List," Robin Williams called Steven Spielberg to tell him jokes and lift his spirits. 4. In high school, Robin Williams was voted by his classmates as the "Least Likely To Succeed." 5. Robin Williams' favorite childhood book was "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe," which he'd read to his kids. They are saying it was a suicide. Hard to believe somebody so full of life and laughter could be so depressed he would take his own life. Not to mention how rich and famous and successful he was. Perhaps money really doesn't buy happiness.

Suicide is an aberration. A moment (often lead up to by many, but not daily moments) of temporary insanity.
Depression is an illness, and can happen to anyone, regardless of social status, color of skin, or gender. We are far from understanding it, but most people understand it as a "chemical imbalance of the body" that manifests its symptoms in the mind.
People can appear to be happy, content, but have an inner dialog or other inner symptom(s) that (at least to them) is very unbearable.
Being 63, and in our opinions having much to live for, I find that I am more accepting of this (not knowing Robin's physical and mental personal history), than of the young teenagers and barely adult age for ending their own lives.
He will be missed. He was very lovable, but I will be most haunted by his performance in "What Dreams May Come". His wife in that movie (Annabella Sciorria) had killed herself, and he had to find her in the world of the dead to reunite her with her family. The movie was well done, but not what I 'believe", and I assume that Robin had different ideas also. But an assumption that is mindful of the seriousness of a person feeling like suicide is an option.
I pray that he has found peace.
And my prayers go out to his family.

www.unknowncountry.com/news/anne-strieber-has-died Whitley Strieber's Wife, Anne Strieber Has DiedThursday, August 13, 2015 After a long and courageous struggle, Anne Strieber died on August 11, 2015. She founded Unknowncountry.com as Whitleysworld in 1998. In 2001, she changed the name and expanded it to include what she described as "the credible edge of science and reality." She was its managing editor until January of 2015. Anne was also a novelist, and published three books, "the Cave" as Anne Matthews, "the Invisible Woman," and her personal favorite, "Little Town Lies," both as Anne Strieber. In nonfiction, she published "the Communion Letters," a compendium of letters from close encounter witnesses. She was also the author of "Anne's Diary" on this website. She also co-authored an account of her illness, "Miraculous Journey," with Whitley. She supported her husband Whitley throughout his career, and edited every book he published. After reading and cataloging hundreds of thousands of letters written to him in response to his book "Communion," she was the first person to realize that the appearance of what she termed "the visitors" was associated with the simultaneous appearance of ghostly apparitions. She never ceased her research into the strange and ignored phenomenon called the "close encounter" experience, and formed the fundamental approach to it that is the basis of Whitley Strieber's work. Anne is survived by Whitley, her husband of 45 years, and her son Andrew and his family. Services for Anne will be private. Anne contributed to many charities, and her wish was that others contribute on her behalf to the charities of their choice. Tribute to a Starman: David Bowie Mourned by Astronauts, Scientistsby Calla Cofield, Space.com Staff Writer January 11, 2016 Astronauts, scientists and members of the spaceflight industry are joining people all over the world in mourning the death of music icon David Bowie, who passed away Sunday (Jan. 10) after a battle with cancer. Tributes to the late artist have been flooding Twitter today (Jan. 11). Former astronaut Chris Hadfield wrote, "Ashes to ashes, dust to stardust. Your brilliance inspired us all. Goodbye Starman." Hadfield gained Internet fame when he released a video in which he performed Bowie's song "Space Oddity" (just one of the artist's astro-themed ballads) while living on the International Space Station (ISS). bob May, a guitarist for the band Queen who later became an astrophysicist, expressed shock and sadness at Bowie's seemingly sudden passing. "I don't know if I can react immediately. He was a fearsome talent, and the loss to Music and Culture from his passing is inestimable. In and out of our lives, always challenging and innovative, and … shocking. But this news is hard to take in," May wrote on his personal website. He closed his statement by saying, "Very sad. Sincere condolences to his family. But what a life. All hail, David Bowie, Star Man, Hero. RIP." Neil deGrasse Tyson also mourned the singer's passing. ******************************************************************* Neil deGrasse Tyson ✔ @neiltyson I wonder if some forms of creativity can only be generated by a Space Oddity that Falls to Earth. RIP #DavidBowie (1947-2016) ******************************************************************* The official NASA Twitter account tweeted, "'And the stars look very different today.' RIP David Bowie." The quote is a line from Bowie's song "Space Oddity," which is sung from the perspective of an astronaut on a journey into space, and captures the fragility of human life in the cosmos. Others who paid their respects on Twitter include NASA astronaut Douglas H. Wheelock, Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk and British astronaut Tim Peake, who is currently onboard the ISS as part of Expedition 46. Unbelievable. The timing. He seems to have put another project out within a few days prior. But knew he was dying.
The other thing I loved about this guy, is he made time among all his other "creations", to really try to be a great dad
I feel sad

(Eagles Archives/SHOWTIME) By Harrison Smith / www.washingtonpost.com/people/harrison-smithJanuary 18, 2016 Glenn Frey, a guitarist and composer who co-founded the Eagles and forged with bandmate Don Henley one of the most popular partnerships in rock music, generating hits such as “Take it Easy,” “Hotel California” and “Lyin’ Eyes,” died Jan. 18 in New York City. He was 67. The cause was complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia, according to a statement from his family and bandmates posted on the Eagles’ website. The announcement quoted the lyrics of “It’s Your World Now,” the last track of the Eagles’ most recent album, “Long Road Out of Eden” (2007), which Mr. Frey co-wrote with Jack Tempchin: “It’s your world now / My race is run / I’m moving on / Like the setting sun.” The Eagles were supposed to be feted at the Kennedy Center Honors in December, but the induction ceremony was postponed because of Mr. Frey’s health. His death follows other major losses in rock music: David Bowie succumbed to cancer on Jan. 10, as did “Lemmy” Kilmister of the heavy-metal band Motorhead, on Dec. 28. Mr. Frey (pronounced “fry”) met Henley, a singer and drummer, at the raucous Troubadour nightclub in Los Angeles in 1971. They founded the band later that year with the addition of guitarist Bernie Leadon and bassist Randy Meisner. The easygoing country-rock melodies of the band’s self-titled 1972 debut seemed to embody the sunny Southern California aesthetic, with touches of a darker side in songs such as Mr. Frey’s “Most of Us Are Sad.” With a friend and former housemate — a folk poet named Jackson Browne — Mr. Frey wrote the group’s first single, “Take It Easy,” a mantra of sorts for a band that came to be defined by its laid-back, pot-inflected demeanor onstage. The song reached No. 12 on the charts that summer and was the first in a string of accomplishments: six Grammy Awards, five No. 1 singles, six No. 1 albums, and more than 150 million records sold, including two of the best-selling albums of all time, “Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975)” and “Hotel California,” each of which sold tens of millions of copies. The band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. www.washingtonpost.com/entertainment/music/glenn-frey-guitarist-for-the-eagles-dies-at-67/2016/01/18/89aee084-be30-11e5-83d4-42e3bceea902_story.html

I can't believe that Prince is dead. And recently, Vanity died. There was a short phase in my life (years ago) when Monday night (Raw) wrestling was popular - and "Chyna" of that fame was found dead yesterday (she was on that stage around the same time as "The Rock".) Because these particular people were fairly young, and these deaths aren't something like "car accidents", it just feels extra creepy. (Really not forgetting all the other people that have also been dying). Really, it feels like things have been escalating (health-wise) since Bernie Mack died with pneumonia. Or did I notice "it" before that? ********** (Nice Image. Thank You Auntym. )

www.nytimes.com/2016/12/08/us/john-glenn-dies.html?partner=msft_msn&_r=0 John Glenn, American Hero of the Space Age, Dies at 95By JOHN NOBLE WILFORD / www.nytimes.com/by/john-noble-wilford?action=click&contentCollection=U.S.&module=Byline®ion=Header&pgtype=articleDEC. 8, 2016 John Glenn: A Patriot in Space and PoliticsJohn Glenn with the Friendship 7 in 1962. He was hailed as a national hero and a symbol of the space age as the first American to orbit Earth. Credit NASA John Glenn, a freckle-faced son of Ohio who was hailed as a national hero and a symbol of the space age as the first American to orbit Earth, then became a national political figure for 24 years in the Senate, died on Thursday in Columbus, Ohio. He was 95. His death was announced on Twitter by Gov. John Kasich of Ohio. Mr. Glenn had recently been hospitalized at the James Cancer Center at Ohio State University in Columbus, though university officials said at the time that admission there did not necessarily mean he had cancer. He had heart-valve replacement surgery in 2014 and a stroke around that time. He had kept an office on the campus at the John Glenn College of Public Affairs, which he helped found, and had a home in Columbus. In just five hours on Feb. 20, 1962, Mr. Glenn joined a select roster of Americans whose feats have seized the country’s imagination and come to embody a moment in its history, figures like Lewis and Clark, the Wright brothers and Charles Lindbergh. To the America of the 1960s, Mr. Glenn was a clean-cut, good-natured, well-grounded Midwesterner, raised in Presbyterian rectitude, nurtured in patriotism and tested in war, who stepped forward to risk the unknown and succeeded spectacularly, lifting his country’s morale and restoring its self-confidence. It was an anxious nation that watched and listened that February morning, as Mr. Glenn, 40 years old, a Marine Corps test pilot and one of the seven original American astronauts, climbed into Friendship 7, the tiny Mercury capsule atop an Atlas rocket rising from the concrete flats of Cape Canaveral in Florida. The Cold War had long stoked fears of nuclear destruction, and the Russians seemed to be winning the contest with their unsettling ascent into outer space. Two Russians, Yuri A. Gagarin and Gherman S. Titov, had already orbited Earth the year before, overshadowing the feats of two Americans, Alan B. Shepard and Virgil I. Grissom, who had been launched in separate missions only to the fringes of space. What, people asked with rising urgency, had happened to the United States’ vaunted technology and can-do spirit? Fisher was 60. Family spokesman Simon Halls released a statement to PEOPLE on behalf of Fisher's daughter, Billie Lourd: "It is with a very deep sadness that Billie Lourd confirms that her beloved mother Carrie Fisher passed away at 8:55 this morning," reads the statement. "She was loved by the world and she will be missed profoundly," says Lourd. "Our entire family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers." Fisher was flying from London to Los Angeles on Friday, Dec. 23, when she went into cardiac arrest. Passengers and flight personnel gave her CPR until paramedics were able to rush her to a nearby hospital once the plane landed. Her brother Todd Fisher told E! News hours later on Friday that Fisher was being treated in the ICU. Local TV station KABC reported that night she was in critical condition and on a ventilator. Fisher received care in the hospital for several days and her mother, Debbie Reynolds, made a statement earlier in the week saying that her daughter was in stable condition. But things took a turn for the worse on Tuesday. She died early in the morning. Carrie Fisher was the daughter of actors Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher. She had a tumultuous upbringing in the spotlight in Hollywood and ultimately moved to London to get an education in acting. She returned to Hollywood and made her film debut in "Shampoo," opposite Warren Beatty. She nabbed the starring role in "Star Wars" in 1977 and was just 19 years old when she appeared in the George Lucas franchise. Fisher also starred in the second and third "Star Wars" films and in last years' Christmas blockbuster "The Force Awakens." She also had notable roles in films like "Hannah and her Sisters" and "When Harry Met Sally." Fisher often led a headline-making love life. She dated musician Paul Simon off and on from 1977-1984 and the song "Hearts and Bones" was thought to be about their relationship. She was briefly engaged to Dan Aykroyd after he proposed on the set of "Blues Brothers," but their dalliance ended after she returned to Simon and they married in 1983. Their marriage only lasted a year and was wrought with problems including bouts of depression and drug use. Shortly after she married CAA head honcho and talent agent, Bryan Lourd, in 1991. They had one child together, Billie Catherine Lourd. Their marriage was also problematic due to depression and they decided to divorce in 1994. Lourd went on to marry his longtime partner, boyfriend, Bruce Bozzi, in 2016. Fisher's drug use began at a young age - 13 - as she was heavily influenced by the Hollywood circles that her parents participated in. She detailed her drug use, including cocaine, LSD and marijuana, in her 1987 semi-autobiographical novel, "Postcards from the Edge."She wrote a 2008 novel "Wishful Drinking" and was most recently promoting her book "The Princess Diarist," which revealed details about her young life in the "Star Wars" franchise and her off-screen affair with co-star, Harrison Ford. In 1985, Fisher was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, and she became an avid advocate for the mental illness. She also wrote about her illness in her books. Fisher was also credited with writing several famous Hollywood movies. She had uncredited writing for films like "The Wedding Singer," "Hook" and "Sister Act." Fisher was also extremely close with her only child, Billie Lourd, who recently scored a role on "Scream Queens." Billie rushed to her mother's side immediately after the plane landed and was reportedly with her throughout the past couple days.
