That is an interesting theory but it doesn't cover all of the sounds. There was no NASA installation in Wisconsin or way up in the northeast in Maine. I noticed that a lot of the sounds were very close to large bodies of water...either the Atlantic Ocean, the Great Lakes or the Gulf of Mexico. That might mean something.

Saw the video. I like this persons line of thinking checking, but respectfully disagree the NASA locations and the locations of the rumbling sound reports match all that closely. Closest being many dozens of miles, at furthest many hundreds of miles. Not good enough of a match to form a connection in that respect.

I started a thread with ufo sounds way back when the Edge of Reality began. I believe it comes under Ufos topic on home page. I will look, remember the police monitored the sound at the station from the cop car radio dispatch.?

Mystery Boom Shakes Northeast Philly It's unclear exactly what happened but people sure felt itBy Dan Stamm | Friday, May 27, 2011 The beginning of Memorial Day Weekend reportedly came with a loud bang in Northeast Philadelphia Friday night. "It was just a shake.. no one knows what it is," said witness Scott Ellison. People all over the Northeast and in places like Bensalem, Pa. were reporting having heard an explosion or boom in the area of Knights and Fairdale Road around 9:35 p.m., according to the Philadelphia Fire Department. Some witnesses even claimed to feel their houses shake. "The house vibrated several times," said witness Phil Steinman. As of 11 p.m. there were no apparent damage or signs of an explosion. Authorities reportedly contacted the U.S. Geological Survey to see if this could have possibly been an earthquake. A sonic boom was also being considered as a possible cause. If it was a quake it wouldn't be the first one to hit the area this month. A magnitude 1.9 quake was reported by the USGS near Mount Holly, N.J. around 4:20 a.m. on May 10. Chopper 10 caught dozens of emergency vehicles rushing towards and in the area of the scene -- near the Franklin Mills Mall -- but there were no visible signs of any explosion despite the reports. The exact spot where the boom occurred wasn't clear, officials said. TO WATCH VIDEO & CONTINUE READING CLICK ON ABOVE LINK

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/8566281/Tiny-village-is-latest-victim-of-the-The-hum.htmlUK News Tiny village is latest victim of the 'The hum'By Richard Alleyne, Science Correspondent 6:00PM BST 09 Jun 2011 It is a mysterious sound on the very edge of perception that has driven thousands of people around the world to distraction. Now a tiny English village is the latest community to claim to be being hit by the phenomenon known as "the hum". Residents of Woodland, in County Durham, claim that every night a noise permeates the air similar to the throb of a car engine. It is sometimes so strong that it even shakes the bed of one of the householders. But no matter how hard they look, the community cannot find the source of the problem and, at their wits end, have called in the council to investigate. The 300-strong population is the latest around the world to be hit by the rumble which has in the past led to wild conspiracy theories blaming it on UFOs, government experiments and abandoned mine shafts. It is so widespread that it has even featured on the television show The X Files. It's most famous occurrence was in Bristol in the 1970s when more than a thousand people complained of the consistent drone causing nosebleeds, sleeplessness and headaches. It vanished as mysteriously as it arrived and was never explained. Residents of Woodland, a community consisting of one main street surrounded by farmland, claims their version of "the hum" is constant from midnight until 4am every night and stops them sleeping. There are no pylons, factories or abandoned mines nearby. TO CONTINUE READING CLICK ON ABOVE LINK

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/this-britain/in-search-of-the-thing-that-goes-hum-in-the-night-2299300.htmlSaturday, 18 June 2011 In search of the thing that goes hum in the nightThe people of Woodland, Co Durham, are being tormented by a strange nocturnal noise. Jonathan Brown puts his ear to the ground Bristol Hum: Since it was first reported in 1979, more than 2,000 people living in the city have complained about the distant rumbleIt is 3am, and the village of Woodland is asleep. Up here on the fellside rising above the rugged beauty of Teesdale shortly before a summer dawn, all is dark and all is quiet. Or at least it should be. Two months ago, local people began to talk – discreetly at first – then with growing conviction about what they thought was a loud hum permeating their homes and the surrounding countryside. Although descriptions varied, most of those that have heard it agreed it resembled a low-pitch throbbing which can strike at any time of day but appears to reach a crescendo in the early hours of the morning before abruptly ceasing as the sun rises. It has been blamed for shaking the furniture, rattling conservatories and ruining sleep. News of what has become known as the "Durham Hum" has rekindled memories of previous sonic disturbances that have periodically haunted communities across the world, most famously the Bristol Hum which made international headlines in the 1970s. Events here have similarly aroused global curiosity and proved a fertile ground for internet conspiracy theorists, who have blamed everything from power lines to secret government activities or – even more fantastically – aliens. But as I cock my ears and slow down my breathing in the pitch darkness, all that can be heard is the wind blowing gently through the trees and the sudden flapping of wings as a disturbed owl looms over a dry stone wall. After 30 minutes of intense listening, I give up and go home. The only hum I can record is of an olfactory variety emanating from a field recently spread with slurry. Yet in this case it seems not hearing is not necessarily disbelieving. In the morning I meet retired store detective Marilyn Grech, 57, at her cottage. She has been up until the early hours, giving interviews to international radio stations, although ironically it seems the previous evening was the first time in six weeks that she has not heard the hum. "Last night when I got into bed I thought, this is fantastic, this is wonderful. This is how it should be," she says. Having moved into the village four years ago from Sunderland with her Maltese husband, Mario, 67, she admits she was anxious about going public – fearing she would be branded a "crackpot". Mystery Boom Puzzles NorfolkBy Chris Capps 8/12/11 A mysterious burst of sonic energy erupted over Norfolk on the night of August 10th causing some of those startled awake to wonder what could be going on outside. Pets reportedly started howling in response to the sudden mysterious burst while citizens got up and checked outside only to see a clear summer sky with no sign of lightning. Geologists the next morning checked sensors to see if an Earthquake had been responsible, but found no evidence indicating seismic activity. And the RAF has likewise distanced itself from responsibility, saying aircraft from the nearby base were out on an exercise at the time of the event. So what was it, then? Experts are suggesting that the event could have been caused by a meteorite entering Earth's atmosphere at tremendous speed and streaking to the ground. While the impact itself would not necessarily have been large enough to cause a seismic event, the speed of the object traveling could have been fast enough to create a cannon-like boom above the city simply by the speed of the object from space. If this were the case, then there may be an explanation by witnesses who reported seeing a strange golden streak enter the atmosphere from the sky and then fade as it struck the ground leaving a tail behind it of fiery material. But it would have had enough energy to significantly alter the environment around it the way it did on Tuesday Morning in Norfolk, sending air out of its way in speeds fast enough to create a rippling boom which shook windows, set off car alarms, woke people and animals, and set off an early morning of confusion. Because the surface of our planet is overwhelmingly water, and even now human settlements make up only a tiny fraction of the planet's total area, the idea of a meteorite being spotted so near a heavily populated area is strikingly small, but not unheard of. Nonetheless, the proximity of the meteorite has caused more than a few to speculate that maybe it wasn't completely natural. The sounds are, no doubt, real. They are indeed a mystery. But are they "apocalyptic"? Based on what scientific analysis?
A "huge, cloaked vehicle"...? Based on what data?
In the absence of cold, hard facts, we humans LOVE to make assumptions and draw conclusions based on our own idiosyncrasies.....
I think I'll keep looking for answers.....

I'm hard put to see how they come by 'apocalyptic' too LOL. Drama I guess, people are very fond of the doom card for all they fear it. It's a little like the sound the ufo made that abducted my friend and I only what I heard was such a deep constant 'thrumming' it vibrated in my chest bones. Still the closest thing I can find is a didgeridoo but 'meatier'. I really don't want to actually hear it again

The sound on that one is very similar to the sound I heard during my abduction experience when the beam of light started picking me up in the air. It has that same electrical transformer sound to it.
I think that video is a hoax though. The guy was standing on his porch when he filmed it but if you look carefully there is one spot where you can see another light that is not part of the triangle and it is moving the same as the triangle. What that tells me is that the dude is moving the camera around and turning it to make it look like the triangle is moving. He probably just has some colored lights hanging from the ceiling of the porch.

I picked this thread as the only possible link. I think someone is trying to play one terrible joke on this man. ;D You may laugh but if real what does it sound like to you? I played it several times.. Something elecrtical being played? This guy's voice you can hear speaking to the other end of the call. If he called a message back, why would some one answer their phone this way.

I have heard these same exact sounds on Skype. I do not interpret them as anything weird other than a bad sound feed back problem. Just not a clean signal. Notice the woman is in front of her video camera, and the lighting is consistent with a phone video conference. Looks like she must have recorded the Skype video and put it on You Tube. Sorry this attractive brunette looks so worried. Is that a nightgown hanging on a coathanger on the wall on the left? Displays her phone personal information too. I am thinking she might want to be more careful. Steve

Yes she should be careful. I believe the video before hers... this guy showed his information as well.

cnufos.ning.com/profiles/blogs/cnufos-mystery-sounds-in-u-s-baseball-stadium-tibetan-caves-ukran CNUFOS - MYSTERY SOUNDS IN U.S. BASEBALL STADIUM, TIBETAN CAVES & UKRANIAN CITY[/color] * Posted by Cnufos on August 27, 2011 Earth2_1.jpg We've always heard stories of mysterious sounds somehow making their way through the air and Earth, of dark long tunnels leading to parts unknown emanating mysterious sounds, but a recent series of events seem to have an eerie correlation and connection to a secret cave in Tibet said to be guarded by monks and host to a plethora of spirits from another time. Are these sounds connected? And why are they appearing in baseball stadiums and over cities now? On August 22, 2011 a series of bizarre noises suddenly broke out over Tropicana Stadium during a game in front of thousands of witnesses. Video of the event even prompted the two announcers of the game to comment on the incident as it was going on calling it one of the "eeriest sounds ever." As maintenance crews worked to discover the source of the sound, they eventually blamed lightning which shorted out the sound system. This explanation sufficed for some, but still others wondered how it could possibly have had this effect long after an alleged lightning strike as no storm was going on. Needless to say the official story gathered more than a small amount of skepticism itself. Earlier this month in the city of Kiev, Ukraine, a series of mysterious sounds were heard throughout troubling residents and catching quite a bit of attention itself as several Youtube videos were uploaded with users demanding to know what it could possibly be. After the incident, several came forward to confirm they too had heard the mysterious sounds. And it was analyzed and itself turned out to cycle with some regularity, often repeating certain "notes" or combinations of notes. Note the reference to Tropicana Field in this new Mufon Report:
Detail for Event ID 31248 Case Number: 31248 Log Number: US-08282011-0013 Submitted Date: 2011-08-28 13:09 GMT Event Date: 2011-08-24 20:45 GMT Status: Submitted City: St. Petersburg Region: Florida Country: US Longitude: -82.64 Latitude: 27.7730556 Shape: Circle, Cylinder, Disc, Oval Distance: Unknown
Description: Beginning on August 23, 2011, my family and I (among many other people) have been hearing that same loud rumble in the sky that is being reported all over the globe. It is an incredibly loud rumble in the sky that roars for about 2 minutes in duration and eventually fades away.
On August 23, 2011, we were sitting in our living room, watching TV when we heard it again. We heard it between 7 and 8 times beginning around 7:30 pm (approx.). After not being able to figure out what the noise was, I did some online research. The exact same noise was heard at the Rays baseball game, here in St. Pete the night before. (The video of this incident is available online).
This noise continued again on Wednesday, August 24, 2011. My husband, 12 year-old son and I stepped outside in the hope that we could capture the sound on his cell phone. After uploading the video to my computer, I then noticed the orb or light that appears from behind the trees to the left. This light darts in and out of the clouds and behind the tree which lead me to believe that this is NOT part of the camera--along with the fact that it does not appear until the phone is pointed toward the sky. Please note that we were not searching for unusual lights in the sky but simply trying to capture the sound of the very strange rumbling that we had been hearing. Therefore, I did not see this with my own eyes as I was looking all around me, but only noticed on the video afterward.
As far as the rumbling goes, I heard it one last time on Thursday August 25, 2011 and an hour after that, I heard what can only be described as a very loud, vibrating hum (which was also about 1-2 was also about 1-2 mins in duration). I have heard nothing since.
Media: IMG_0686.MOV
Note: I couldn't get the video to load--it appears on the last 20 Reports log, but may be corrupt.

Amazing about the rumbling but inferring the unidentified noise is related to monks guarding a cave full of old spirits is really pushing the line. I couldn't find a thing about monks guarding spirits in a cave much less one about a cave making odd rumbling noises guarded by monks ...must people sensationalize everything???

Of course they must, Jo. That is why every time an archaeologist finds a cup buried in the dirt they proclaim it to be the Holy Grail...if they find a piece of wood it automatically becomes a piece of Noah's Ark. People are obviously bored with their lives and want to create some excitement so they can pretend they are living in a video game instead of just playing one.

I'm stumped about the noise. The Navy's nuclear submarines receive ELF (Extra Low frequency) radio signals from two connected ground stations inland in the United States (one is at Clam Lake in Wisconsin, the other in Republic, Michigan). These radio signals actually resonate passing through the earth and can reach any submarine equipped to receive such a signal anywhere. The signal transmitted to the submarine is always one way. A ELF transmitter is too massive to use on a submarine. The transmission of any message is very slow too. Due to the limited bandwidth, information can only be transmitted at just a few characters per minute. It is used usually only to alert a deep cruising nuclear submarine that it should rise to shallower depths (to a depth usually of about 130 feet or less) to receive a higher frequency message (in the VLF -very low frequency range) where a faster longer message can be received under the ocean. The powerful electric current between the electrodes for the ELF transmitter will penetrate deep into the Earth, essentially using a large part of the globe itself as an antenna. The antenna length in the Navy's ELF station in Republic, Michigan is approximately 32 miles. Only the United States and Russia ever operated such a radio transmitter. Wikipedia writes the American system has been dismantled since 2004. The Federation of American Scientists website indicates it is alive and well. All indications are the Russian system is still in operation too. The Russian transmitter is called ZEVS. The American system 'Seafarer'. I wonder if the harmonics of these transmitters could be the culprit? Another system is called HAARP. Its purpose is detection and imaging of underground structures using ELF/VLF radio waves resonating through the planet. Such a system might be used to detect underground structures in terrorist friendly countries? Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Afghanistan, Pakistan? Could the mysterious sounds heard be racket from these systems used for communications or detection of military centers? Iran's underground nuclear facilities would be of prime interest. If so, it would be very secret, and doubtful it would ever be admitted or disclosed to the public. Could this be the mystery sounds heard around the world at times? Can people even hear sounds transmitted by ELF? It seems like it would be out of our range of hearing.

steve .. thank you for posting this link, I finally found out why I could not open some links. It was my adobe reader was not enabled, but turned off. If anyone could hear any of this sky, it would be sanseed for sure.. Wisconsin did have a strange sound not too long ago and it was on the same day I experience a strange noise .. My husband could not hear it, but I could all day long. Each time I stepped outdoors, I would go right back into my house. He thought I was crazy that day.. It sure bothered my head. Sanseed also heard this. Don't remember the day, maybe she would..
