ufodigest.com/article/celebrities-ufos-0528WHAT DO A-LIST CELEBRITIES SHIRLEY MACLAINE, JIMI HENDRIX, DAVID BOWIE, WILLIAM SHATNER AND JACKIE GLEASON HAVE IN COMMON? – THEY ALL CLAIM TO HAVE HAD UFO EXPERIENCES!By Sean Casteel May 28, 2015 Jimi Hendrix’s life was saved by an angel-like alien being. The U.S. Post Office recently released a commemorative stamp with a UFO hovering over the rock star's head.It is readily apparent that UFOs and their alien occupants are a huge portion of our daily allotment of pop culture influences. It should also be apparent that this is not a case of pop culture exploiting consumer interest in UFOs but represents instead a conscious, deliberate social programming being carried out by the UFO occupants. This distinction may be a subtle one to some, but, for many people working in the UFO community, it is an inescapable one. The tightly-bound connection between UFOs and pop culture has been the cause of some concern to government officials in the U.K. In the British newspaper “The Sunday Express,” reporter Mark Branagan writes about a study done in the late 1990s. According to the “Express,” “Secret Special Branch files have revealed that the London Metropolitan Police regarded Mulder and Scully, not to mention Captain Kirk and his ‘Star Trek’ crew, as threats to national security. ‘The X-Files’ and ‘Star Trek’ were among a number of classic shows being monitored as part of a probe into the potential menace of UFO groups. Anti-terrorism experts were also concerned about the brainwashing effect of ‘Dark Skies,’ ‘Roswell,’ ‘Millennium,’ and ‘The Lawnmower Man’ on British viewers. With the clock ticking towards the real Millennium, there were fears that Britain was on the brink of collective UFO madness that would lead to anarchy.” The dossier was compiled after the mass suicide by America’s Heaven’s Gate doomsday cult, and there were fears something similar might happen in the UK. It was also pointed out that Heaven’s Gate drew inspiration from sci-fi programs like those mentioned above, as did the Branch Davidian cult in Waco, Texas. The latter regarded “The Lawnmower Man” as being an interpretation of the Book of Revelation. “The problem is that growing numbers are not treating this as entertainment and are finding it impossible to divorce fantasy from reality,” says the unknown author of the Special Branch report. “Although an American phenomenon, it is being imported into the U.K.” But is alien influence on pop culture really as grim as the Metropolitan Police and Special Branch anti-terrorism experts make out? Publisher and author Timothy Green Beckley thinks not, and, to make his point, he has just released his book “Shirley MacLaine Meets The Pleiadians – Plus The Amazing Flying Saucer Experiences Of Celebrities, Rock Stars And The Rich And Famous.” In the interest of full disclosure, I wrote an opening chapter on Shirley MacLaine’s interest in and fondness for the UFO occupants, who, as the title suggests, come from the Pleiades star cluster, at least according to Shirley.

ufodigest.com/article/ufo-encounter-0624 THE PROFOUND UFO ENCOUNTERS OF CELEBRITIES, POP STARS AND THE WORLD'S MOST FAMOUS PRIZE FIGHTER, MUHAMMAD ALIBy Sean Casteel / ufodigest.com/users/sean-casteelJune 24, 2015 Shirley MacLaine, Sammy Davis Jr., Sammy Hagar, Kiss's Ace Frehley, Mel Torme And Charles Bronson All Claim They Have Had Alien-Related Experiences! There are UFOs among the stars. You must to some degree believe this or you would not likely be reading this article. But according to Timothy Green Beckley, a writer, editor and CEO of the Inner Light/Global Communications publishing company, there are UFOs among the stars of the HUMAN kind, celebrities rendered mere awestruck mortals by encounters with ships, occupants and the psychic traces left behind in the wake of a UFO experience. Beckley’s new book on the subject of celebrity encounters is called “Shirley MacLaine Meets The Pleiadians, Plus The Amazing Flying Saucer Experiences of Celebrities, Rock Stars and the Rich and Famous.” In the interest of total disclosure, I wrote an introductory chapter on Shirley and contributed a section on rock star Sammy Hagar. Beyond that, this one is totally Beckley’s baby. The dedication to finding the truth behind the UFO phenomenon began for the titular Shirley when she was a young girl living in Virginia. She recorded in her diary the legendary sightings over nearby Washington, D.C., in 1952, and began to collect clippings from the era’s print media accounts. Later, as an adult, she took time out from her Oscar-winning career as an actress to delve deeply into the UFO mystery. In the first of her bestselling autobiographical books about her spiritual search, 1983’s “Out On A Limb,” Shirley wrote about visiting a UFO contactee named “David,” whom she said was a composite character based on UFO experiencers of her acquaintance. She journeyed to Peru with “David” to see firsthand the locations where flying saucers are said to have touched down and made contact with the indigenous peoples. While she was initially troubled by “David’s” declaration that he considered himself to have actually met extraterrestrials and shared a telepathic relationship with an alien female, she slowly began to see there might be some truth to what “David” said, including the idea that she had been chosen by his Pleiadian friends to spread their message throughout the world by writing about the alien race in “Out On A Limb.” The book also includes an account of Shirley and “David’s” visit to Lake Titicaca, where local folklore alluded to a lot of unusual and unexplained occurrences, like strange underground noises, lights and flying objects. At the well-known Inca ruins at Machu Picchu, locals gathered around the two interlopers to excitedly tell the story of a “flying egg” that had risen from a lake in the area accompanied by five smaller black spheres. “They hovered for a few minutes and then flew out into space,” yelled a tamale vendor. Eduard “Billy” Albert Meier, the controversial Swiss “UFO Prophet,” also received a visit from Shirley, as recounted in Shirley’s most recent book, 2007’s “Sage-ing While Age-ing.” Shirley traveled to Meier’s village of Hinderschmudruti in Switzerland in 1981 along with Lee and Brit Elders, the authors of a book on Meier called “UFO: Contact from the Pleiades.” “For about two weeks,” Shirley writes, “I listened to Billy’s stories about contact with the Pleiades.” Billy had had a lonely childhood, beaten by his father and ignored by his mother. When he was first contacted, while still a child, a craft landed in a field and an older man emerged who gave Billy encouragement and love. As an adult, Billy experienced contact with a craft in the countryside near his village about twice a month, usually around 2 A.M. Like “David,” Billy claimed to be in contact with a female from the Pleiades who delivered the standard warnings and consolations about Earth’s future given to all contactees. Thus Shirley began to cement her belief – not only in aliens who communicated directly with Earthlings – but also that said aliens came, originally, from the Pleiades star system. Shirley has been taking huge doses of ridicule ever since, even from some within the UFO community. A BOXER THROWS HIS PUNCHES AT UFO NAYSAYERSBeckley writes that, of all the famous folks he spent time with discussing UFOs and theories about extraterrestrials, the former heavyweight champ, Muhammad Ali, was the most engaging when talking about his personal experiences. World Champ Muhammad Ali looking at UFO photos with Tim Beckley, Paul Karazik and Jim Moseley lurking in the background. The two had met for the first time when Beckley got permission to interview Ali as he jogged through New York’s Central Park in training to fight contender Oscar Bonavena. Beckley was grateful that Ali ran at a pace he could keep up with as Ali told the story of his UFO sighting. “I happened to look up just before dawn,” Ali began, “as I often do while running, and there hovering above us was this brilliant light hanging as if by an invisible thread. At first I thought it was a beacon projected from a helicopter. But moments later a similar object passed in front of us. “I brought it to the attention of my trainer, who was standing nearby” the fighter went on. “We watched them come from behind the skyline and move slowly across the sky for at least 15 minutes. The best I can describe the sighting is to say they were just round and big.” A number of reporters traveling with the champ jumped on the story and it was picked up by the wire services. The resulting coverage led Beckley to set up his own follow-up interview to learn more about the anomalous event. The mainstream media, unfortunately, treated Ali’s experience as a joke and the champ wanted to make sure that Beckley understood that he was quite serious about what he had seen. He told Beckley he had had previous sightings, a total of 16 so far. He also invited Beckley to visit him at his hotel so that Ali could tell him some more of his sightings stories. I'm not sorry; but I seem to be on a bit of a "anti-satanist" kick. And Hollywood is becoming more and more obvious, IMO. For some of you, it probably always has been. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Bedroomthe movie "in the bedroom" was on tv recently, and I watched most of it. Pretty serious stuff. Maybe meaningless, maybe not. . . there's a scene where the wife (sissy spacek) is sitting on the couch, and the movie shows into the other room while her husband comes in the house. Above (I guess) the kitchen table is a light suspended over the table. The lights design is unmistakably an upside-down star. Just decor, I'm sure, but weird symbolism if intentional. ??

good point!
my "tie-in" is Hollywood, Ufos, and satanism.
Ufos are claimed by some, to be a 'cover memory" or screen -memory, for satanist activity in hollywood.
Sorry! this article is a positive one, and written in an up-beat manner!
David Bowie, as far as I know, is the only one listed here who had some "minor accidents" involving "satan" that I know of (that he readily admits). But doesn't the article also mention Walli Elm something, and Marcus something? I believe it was once reported that Marcus died under mysterious circumstances, etc.
Hendrix died under unusual circumstances, in my opinion. As did John Bonham, the drummer for Led Zep.
Maybe a tie-in to others that have died in ufology, or coincidence?
I believe you recently posted an article by Doc Vega claiming ufo occupants could be demons? He wrote it recently? (an old theory, though).
Whatever, satanism and hollywood, and musicians, was long a subject before I ever heard of ufos.
I'm just noting the "symbolism" in recent movies. It's there. Just like there are artist depictions from the past, with (until pointed out) unnoticed ufos painted in the background . . .
We live in a country with supposed religious freedom, and all types of "religious symbolism" show up in creative ways!

the movie is based on true events in the life of a family whose son was murdered by the son's girlfriend's ex-husband and how the sadistic ex-husband taunts the family...
...the law unable to help because of lack of proof...the father turns to a friend for help... the father lures the ex-husband to a remote area and kills him...
i cheered for the father... i had a lump in my throat watching this very, very sad movie...
the subject of this thread WHAT A-LIST CELEBRITIES HAVE IN COMMON is they have witnessed ufos, aliens or both...

what can I do now, auntym?
I made a mistake.
I rarely watch TV. I couldn't watch this much further than when Sissy Spacek realized the kid was going to get off because he could claim it was an accident.
The gun shot through the eye was very graphic.
The dad sitting at the diner with his brother and seeing the truck drive by with the killer's last name on it made me cry.

. . . and the very next scene, is when the husband comes home, the wife is on the couch, and he (husband) asks wife if they can go for a weekend retreat with the brother and his wife. In the background, is the light fixture I mentioned . . . . CLICK (tv turned off). Sigh.
I'm such an emotional person. And paranoid. Sigh.
I'd much rather that there was NO associations between ufos and demons.
(I'm sorry, Aunty. My seeming "attack" on articles you post lately, you didn't write them. Thank You for always working so hard daily to post things we can talk about!)

We now offer you Part Two of the article as we honor Dirk’s memory. Sean Casteel ******* MEL TORME FATHERS A UFO SCREENWRITER The expression “Like father, like son” is appropriate to Mel Torme’s UFO sighting. Mel Torme told Tim Beckley that late one night in 1953, while the singer was out walking his dog, a UFO put on a heavenly show for him. It was around 2:00 A.M. and Mel was standing near his apartment building in midtown Manhattan. “I happened to see this red light in the sky over the East River,” Mel said, “and it appeared to be moving around quite differently than an airplane would. It moved horizontally, faster than my eyes could follow it, before stopping dead in its path as though it had hit a barrier. Then it did lazy loops, almost like a figure-eight (8). It made a few more circles and then noiselessly It went zap again to another part of the sky.” For a brief while, the UFO just hovered there. “Against the pitch blackness of the sky,” Mel continued, “the object resembled the typical description of a ‘flying saucer.’ Eventually, after three or four minutes, it zipped off faster than my eyes could follow.” Meanwhile, Mel’s dog remained rooted still to the ground, shaking and seemingly transfixed by the UFO. Mel says he still recalls the sighting vividly and the aerial maneuvers he saw the craft make have convinced him that the pilots must have been “superhuman beings.” Over the years, Mel must have planted the seeds of belief in his son, Tracy Torme, who would eventually write the screenplay and do production work on the CBS miniseries “Intruders,” based on Budd Hopkins’ book of the same name about alien abduction. Tracy also ventured into feature films by writing the screenplay for “Fire In The Sky,” based on the Travis Walton abduction story. ******* CONTINUE READING: ufodigest.com/article/alien-ships-among-stars-part-two-0710?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+ufodigest%2FrLZd+%28UFO+and+Paranormal+News%29

Famous people who claim to have seen UFOs.
Celebrities also see UFOs and some people see celebrities as more credible. The UFO sightings in this list were all claimed by celebrities. All 7 of these celebs believe in UFOs and extra-terrestrial life.
1. Russel Crowe
Crowe filmed a video that he posted on Youtube which he said was intended to show fruit bats at Botanic Gardens. Instead it seemed to show what he claims is a UFO, something that he defends to this day.
2. Dan Aykroyd
Aykroyd was awoken in the middle of the night in the 1980's. He claims that at three in the morning he told his wife he wanted to go outside because the aliens were calling him. Though they brushed it off in that moment and went back to sleep, it later turned out that many people had been woken up at the same time that morning. Some of those who actually made it out the front door witnessed a large pink spiral suspended on the skyline. Aykroyd has recently backed up his claims in TV interviews...
3. Mick Jagger
Jagger has been convinced by not one, but two, UFO sightings. The first was at Glastonbury music festival in 1968, where he witnessed a cigar shaped and luminous craft lighting up the sky. It was enough of an event for him to install a UFO detector at his home, a device that picked up changes in electromagnetic fields around it. It was only a year later in 1969 that he had his second direct experience with a craft. As a result of this, he is an outspoken believer.
4. Muhammad Ali
The boxing legend has always believed in UFOs. A memorable occurrence happened one day while he was running in New York's Central Park. He saw a bright light appear over his head, which he followed around for as long as he could. His friend and trainer, Angelo Dundee, was with him that day and also saw the same apparition in the sky. Not only did they see it, but so did many other people that night, including an airline pilot who reported seeing it while touching down at Newark Airport at that time...
5. Ronald Reagan
Before he was ever president, he was overheard by actress Lucille Ball speaking to guests at a dinner. Apparently on his way there, he and Nancy had witnessed a UFO on the highway down from LA. There was a second sighting in 1974 while he was flying in a plane as governor of California. He saw a bright light flying near the aircraft. The pilot saw it too and decided to follow it around for a while before the glowing object suddenly disappeared...
6. Robbie Williams
In 2006, best-selling English singer Robbie Williams took a hiatus from his career in entertainment to explore the world of UFOs and extra-terrestrial life. He and journalist Jon Ronson headed into the Nevada desert to meet UFO abductees and gather their own evidence. And as the Daily Mail reports, the pop star claims to have spotted UFOs with his own eyes three times. He said the first sighting happened when he was a child in England, the second later in his life in Beverly Hills, and the third just after he’d penned a song about alien contact.
7. John Lennon & Uri Geller
Imagine all the people … and all the aliens, too? In 2004, magician Uri Geller told the story of his friend John Lennon’s encounter with extra-terrestrials. It happened one night after a blazing light jolted him awake while sleeping in bed. He went outside and saw four “bug-like” people with “big bug eyes and little bug mouths” scuttling around – and insisted they weren’t the result of drug-induced hallucinations. Lennon said the creatures gave him a metal egg-like object that he carried around with him and eventually passed on to Geller.

www.educatinghumanity.com/2016/02/10-famous-musicians-ufo-sightings.html Thursday, February 11, 2016 10 Famous Musicians Who Claim To Have Encountered UFOs or AliensWhat is it about aliens and musicians that constantly draws them together? Over the years a bunch of famous, respected artists have detailed their strange and mysterious encounters with the unknown. From witnessing UFOs to experiencing mind control to seeing actual extraterrestrials themselves, the stories are nothing short of fascinating. Perhaps this has something to do with the creation of good music requiring an open mind? Or maybe there’s something unearthly about inspiration itself, descending to earth from far, far away… Of course, it’s also possible that the real reason for all of these otherworldly sightings is because musicians and drugs go hand in hand like aliens and flying saucers, but they sure seem convinced. You can be the judge of the veracity of these claims yourself. From The King of Rock ‘n’ Roll himself all the way to Miley Cyrus’s dad, here are ten famous musicians who firmly claim to have encountered aliens. 10. Tom DelongeDespite the fact that Tom DeLonge plays in a space-themed rock band called Angels & Airwaves, you’d be forgiven for thinking a fascination with the larger universe doesn’t necessarily equate to believing in extraterrestrial life. Yet when it comes to DeLonge, you’d be entirely wrong. You thought that Blink-182 song from Enema Of The State titled Aliens Exist was tongue in cheek? Think again. DeLonge’s belief in aliens is rather long-standing, and over the years he has made countless claims to have had first-hand experience. As recently as 2015, the singer was quoted saying how he had been involved with alien conspiracies “for a long time”, and that he has “sources from the government”. Not only that, but DeLonge insists that his phone has been tapped, that he once knew someone who was the victim of brutal mind-control experiments and that he actually encountered aliens while camping near Area 51. And if that isn’t enough, he also claims to have been warned by an elderly engineer that he “better be real f*cking careful” what he’s talking about and that he shouldn’t get into any strange cars lest he disappear forever. Keep fighting the good fight, Tom. 9. Sammy Hagar“I know there’s something out there, and someday they’ll come.” These are the po-faced words of Sammy Hagar, who replaced David Lee Roth as the lead singer of Van Halen from 1985 to 1996. According to Hagar, aliens infiltrated his mind and not only stole knowledge from him, but granted him knowledge, too. This wasn’t just some throwaway anecdote, either. Hagar detailed the experience in extreme length in his memoirs Red: My Uncensored Life In Rock. The singer claims that he was lying in bed one night when he suddenly saw a vision of two creatures in a spacecraft floating several miles away, who tapped into his brain. After they had finished, they spoke in an unintelligible language and his room fell into darkness. In an interview on The Howard Stern Show, Hagar also claimed to have witnessed a strange floating vehicle hovering across a field when he was a young boy. That’s a long time to survey someone just to download the contents of their brain as some sort of alien .zip file. 8. Billy Ray CyrusNo Billy Ray, that’s not an alien – that’s your daughter Miley dressed up in another deranged costume, decked out with a prosthetic penis (sadly this description required no artistic license). Wait… you’re talking about something else? Yes, that’s right. The Achy Breaky Heart singer is yet another musician who believes to have encountered life from the far reaches of outer space. In 2011 the singer claimed to have witnessed his “first UFO sighting” which appeared in the form of “five or six” illuminated discs hovering in the distance. Though it’s a rather brief tale, Cyrus seems to believe in its veracity, as he took to Twitter in order to get the word out there immediately. Whether or not this encounter has anything to do with Miley’s transformation we may never know. 7. Elvis PresleyElvis Presley – one of the most famous and influential musicians to ever walk the earth – also claims to have had experiences with beings from beyond it. According to the legendary singer, when he was eight years old he was contacted telepathically by the space bound beings, who showed him a vision of a man in clothing performing in front of a massive number of people. Presley claims to have only understood the significance of such a vision later on in his life at the height of his success. Interestingly, many conspiracy theorists use this anecdote as proof that Elvis himself was extraterrestrial. Because that totally makes sense. And if that’s not enough proof, the singer’s long-time hairstylist Larry Geller claims to have been with Elvis during at least two alien encounters, one as they were driving through the Nevada desert and another while walking through Graceland. Both involved bizarre flashing lights and circular objects… but definitely no drugs. 6. Mick JaggerI know what you’re thinking… drugs. Yet The Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger’s conviction was so strong that he apparently had a UFO detector installed in his estate after one particularly visceral encounter (what such technology consists of we can only guess, but rock star money opens many doors). The encounter took place at Glastonbury during the 60s. Jagger was camping with then-girlfriend Marianne Faithfull when he saw a “rare, luminous cigar-shaped mothership”. A year later this spacecraft returned, on the eve of the disastrous Altamont Speedway Free Festival, which resulted in the tragic death of Meredith Hunter (among others). It’s true that Jagger’s drug use is fairly infamous. But perhaps hallucinogenic drugs are merely a tool through which extraterrestrial life communicates with humans? (spoiler: they aren’t). I believe that John Lennon also had a daytime sighting for the balcony of his apartment in New York. He was naked. The ship was close. He called the police. He called the newspaper. He went on the radio. His then girlfriend May Ping saw it too. She kept the pictures since 1974.
He had said, "I wish they had taken me."

A new celebrity UFO disclosure came this week from Hollywood legend Kurt Russell, who shared an eerie personal UFO sighting while on the BBC’s The One Show. Russell appeared on the show alongside Chris Pratt to promote the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 when The One Show‘s hosts asked the pair if they believe alien beings have visited our planet. Pratt claimed that no, he does not, after which Russell opened up and recounted a strange encounter he and his son had with a set of unidentified lights in the sky.

listverse.com/2017/10/19/10-music-icons-of-the-60s-rocked-by-alien-encounters/ 10 Music Icons Of The ’60s Rocked By Alien Encountersby M.A. Bancroft / listverse.com/lvauthor/M.A.%20Bancroft/October 19, 2017 The 1960s was one of the most memorable eras of the 20th century. It ushered in the civil rights movement, gave birth to the sexual revolution, and brought new political and social fervor in the midst of the Vietnam War and the assassination of John F. Kennedy.
The decade is also famous for the counterculture of sex, drugs, and, of course, rock and roll.
Some of the most iconic figures in the history of music rose to fame in this era. Many of these stars shared an eerie commonality in the years to follow—UFO sightings and alien encounters.
Was it genuine paranormal experience or simply a matter of psychedelic hallucination? You be the judge. 10 Jimi HendrixHeralded by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the “greatest guitarists of all time,” Jimi Hendrix was known for more than just his music. Hendrix had been an avid fan of all things outer space since he was a young boy. This fascination was compounded by his own UFO sighting outside his window—an incident corroborated by his brother, Leon. References to extraterrestrials can be found throughout Hendrix’s music, most notably the song “Third Stone from the Sun.” When played at high speed, the alien-like voices in the background reveal a conversation between Hendrix and his manager talking about UFOs.[1] Some UFO fanatics revere Hendrix as an alien himself and believe that his ghost haunts the Isle of Wight. 9 John LennonBeatles legend John Lennon was outspoken on the topic of UFOs. Lennon reportedly told magician and illusionist Uri Geller that Lennon had been visited by four aliens in his apartment in The Dakota (a well-known residence in New York) in 1973. He tried to give Geller an egg-shaped object that Lennon said the aliens had given him.[2] There was also a recording of Lennon describing a UFO sighting from the balcony of a Manhattan building in 1974. He said that the craft hovered above the city skyline as it made its way down the East River, taking a right toward the United Nations building before returning to the river and vanishing. Although he managed to get his camera in time, Lennon claims that the photographs did not develop properly so he could offer no proof. He was clearly moved by the experience as he inscribed “On the 23rd Aug. 1974 at 9 o’clock I saw a U.F.O.” on his Walls and Bridges album. 8 Cat StevensNow known as Yusuf Islam, Cat Stevens is beloved for his influential songwriting and philanthropy in the 1960s and ’70s. Prone to deep thinking and contemplation about life and the universe, Stevens was often heard talking about ETs and once told a reporter that he had seen a UFO and was “sucked into it.” Some people interpret his song “Longer Boats” as a retelling of this account.[3] 7 Dave DaviesDave Davies, guitarist of the iconic rock band The Kinks, helped set the soundtrack to the decade with hits such as “You Really Got Me” and “All Day and All of the Night.” Although he didn’t go public with it until the 1980s, Davies reports that he has had multiple encounters with UFOs and aliens in his lifetime. He even goes so far as to claim ongoing telepathic connection with these beings.[4] Davies states that he has been ridiculed for being outspoken about his experiences but believes that he and his brother/bandmate, Ray Davies, have had psychic tendencies since childhood which predispose them to alien communication. 6 David BowieTalking about aliens and David Bowie in the same sentence seems as natural as pairing peanut butter with jelly. After all, Bowie’s alter ego is a character by the name of Ziggy Stardust. Bowie’s obsession with outer space is evident in his music. (Take “Space Oddity” and “Life on Mars” as examples.) He even played the lead role in The Man Who Fell to Earth, a movie about a humanoid who visits Earth. So it should not shock the reader to learn that Bowie has claimed several alien encounters in his lifetime. The bulk of his experiences occurred in 1968 when he joined a girlfriend in UFO-watching sessions.[5] These yielded six to seven sightings a night. Unfortunately, his last homage to outer space (a sci-fi musical featuring aliens, mariachi bands, and Bob Dylan songs) was cut short by his death in 2016. 5 Elvis PresleyWhat list about the 1960s and ’70s would be complete without mention of “The King”? Elvis Presley strutted about the music world with his indelible style, undulating pelvis, and soft crooning. But Elvis was also up to something unusual—repeated UFO sightings while traveling in the desert on tour. Presley reported to friends that these occurrences did not startle him as he had telepathic communications with aliens as a young boy (a similar tale to that of Dave Davies). One of those communications even included a vision of a “man wearing a white suit singing to a crowd.”[6] Spooky. 4 Gram ParsonsAffectionately referred to as the “Grievous Angel,” Gram Parsons was a fixture in the 1960s rock-and-roll scene. As lead of The Flying Burrito Brothers band and from time spent playing with The Byrds, Parsons was close with fellow musicians Keith Richards and Emmylou Harris. It was known that Parsons loved hanging out in Joshua Tree National Park searching for UFOs. Parsons attended several UFO conventions and even acted in a movie called Saturation 70, a sci-fi thriller about spacecraft and aliens. Unfortunately, the film was never released and Parsons had an untimely death in 1973 at age 26.[7] 3 Mick JaggerMick Jagger might not always get what he wants, but apparently, he needs some alien encounters. Jagger first spotted a UFO in 1968 while camping with 1960s songstress Marianne Faithfull. His second sighting occurred during the Altamont concert in 1969. The concert is infamous for the violence that erupted in the crowd and the death of four people.[8] During all the uproar, Jagger apparently saw a UFO shaped similarly to the first one he saw a year earlier. These paranormal sightings impacted Jagger so much that he is rumored to have installed UFO detection devices in his home. 2 Keith RichardsLike fellow bandmate Mick Jagger and his buddy Gram Parsons, Keith Richards has revealed that he has had UFO sightings. But Richards takes it a step further, describing closer encounters and the unique position of being landlord to a UFO airstrip (his house in West Sussex).[9] Of aliens themselves, Richards boasts, “I’ve seen thousands of them.” But he clarifies that he has never met one. Given the public’s tendency to ridicule such testimony, he empathizes with people who have. 1 Jerry GarciaThe Grateful Dead, the counterculture leader of the 1960s, was loved for their unique sound and the community of “Deadheads” that followed them around the country. The Dead’s vocalist and lead guitarist, Jerry Garcia, disclosed in an interview that he witnessed an alien “event” in the Marin County sky with David Freiberg of Jefferson Starship. (Band name a coincidence? We think not!) Garcia described it as an “event” rather than a UFO because he and Freiberg didn’t see a spacecraft per se. But they did witness the sky appear as black construction paper with a hole poked through it. Garcia said that light was pouring in and out of the hole for about 15 minutes. Since he was unable to identify what he saw, Garcia felt that it met the description of an unidentified flying object (UFO).[10] listverse.com/2017/10/19/10-music-icons-of-the-60s-rocked-by-alien-encounters/

Golfer Billy Horschel's UFO fascination grew after a close encounter Horschel's UFO fascination grew after a close encounter May 15, 2018 By Helen Ross, PGATOUR.COM / www.pgatour.com/contributors/helen-ross.htmlThe lights simply could not be explained. Billy Horschel was in a car with his mother and his younger brother that evening, driving down U.S. 1 along the Indian River lagoon in central Florida. The arched lights glowed yellow above the water as if to outline a bridge. Only, there was no bridge on the horizon. “I was like that's weird, the Melbourne Causeway looks so nice and then it hit us that we had passed the Melbourne Causeway and there's no other bridge for the next 40 or 50 miles,” Horschel recalled. “So it was just weird that there were six perfect lights that were hovering over the Indian River in a perfect little arch that looked like a bridge.” Horschel, his mom and brother weren’t the only ones who had seen the lights, either. In fact, so many people called the police to inquire about them that Florida Today ran an article the following day. “I can't remember if they were still there when we passed them and then they disappeared or they disappeared when we were driving by,” Horschel said. “But the newspaper ran a story there were like mysterious lights on Melbourne Beach-type of deal. “I can't remember how they phrased it but a lot of people called in.” We’re talking UFOs here, folks. At least that’s what many people thought — and in retrospect, Horschel agrees. “I believed in UFOs before that but that sort of sparked my interest,” he explained. “I just think that to think we're the only people in this universe that are alive or living or anything like that is sort of naive in my opinion.” Horschel is in good company. In fact, an article earlier this year noted that Florida ranks second to California in sightings, according to the National UFO Reporting Center in Davenport, Washington. Horschel, who will defend his AT&T Byron Nelson title this week, said he first became interested in the UFO phenomenon when he was a teenager. The 2014 FedExCup champion loves to watch shows about the paranormal on the Discovery Channel and National Geographic. His grandfather and an uncle worked at NASA, too, which might have fanned the flame. “I'm not big on reading books, but I'll sit there in front of the TV and watch stuff like that all the time, or anything to deal with history,” he said. “So I don't know why I believe, but obviously watching those shows (made me think more about it).” Horschel is also well-acquainted with the conspiracy theories about a potential sighting in Roswell, New Mexico, back in 1947. The United States military first reported it was a weather balloon that crashed, but reversed course in the 1990s and said it was a nuclear test surveillance balloon from Project Mogul. Others aren’t so sure, though, insisting there was a cover-up. The local newspaper ran a story on July 8, 1947, with the headline: RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region. The legend continues to this day, and Horschel is intrigued. “I'm sort of into that era, 1951, and all that secretive stuff,” Horschel said. “I like knowing stuff, stuff that people don't know about or people keep hidden-type deal.” Horschel also thinks the Bigfoot phenomenon might be more than just folklore. But he acknowledges that of the two — UFOs or Sasquatch — having a giant hairy ape walking upright in the forest might be the least believable. “But when you think about every day new species and new things are being discovered in this world it sort of makes you think is this Bigfoot thing really real,” he said. “… So who knows?” Horschel said few of his peers know he believes in UFOs and Bigfoot. He’s prepared for the teasing that may follow this article — but at the same time, he knows he’s not alone in his beliefs. “Millions of people have seen UFOs and have video recordings,” Horschel said. “And when you think about pilots — these guys are in the skies hours and hours and they know what a plane is and they know stuff and when they talk about their experiences and what they've seen and they can't justify what they've seen, it sort of makes you think a little bit.” It does, indeed. www.pgatour.com/beyond-the-ropes/2018/05/15/billy-horschel-ufo-fascination-close-encounter-att-byron-nelson.html

mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/10/close-encounters-of-the-drugged-addled-celebrity-kind/ Close Encounters of the Drugged-up Celebrity Kindby Robbie Graham / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/rgraham/October 2, 2018 Celebrity is a curious thing. In our modern world, we’ve been programmed to revere the famous–be they actors, musicians, sports stars, or fashion models. Celebrity status is something that many millions of us aspire to. Rightly or wrongly, the words of the famous carry considerably more weight in all spheres of society than the words of those who are not. For example, it is not unusual for artists in the music and movie industries to make political speeches and to lead political causes. It matters not that they are technically completely unqualified to do so–they’ve already earned a certain measure of our faith simply by virtue of being famous, regardless of what they are actually famous for. When celebrities speak out on the UFO issue, however, the public are inclined to take their statements with a pinch of salt. Perhaps it’s because the artistic industries are so closely linked with drugs and alcohol, and UFOs are often associated with altered states of consciousness. The logic goes: “It’s no surprise Celeb X sees UFOs… Celeb X has a drug habit.” But perhaps we should not be so quick to throw out the baby with the bathwater, or the UFOs with the LSD. Western culture’s inclination to dismiss reports of UFOs or non-human entities from those who dabble in psychedelic substances speaks to a fundamental misconception of anomalous phenomena. To its detriment, popular UFOlogy is firmly rooted in materialist models of our reality and generally assumes that the UFO phenomenon is external to the human condition: something purely physical from out there that is happening to us, rather than something we play a part in generating, but which is no less “real” as a result. Alien entities in one form or another have been a core component in the psycho-actively induced vision quests of countless indigenous cultures dating back millennia. As modern science has progressed, we’ve learned more and more about exactly how psychoactive substances interact with our brain and nervous system, and, though many questions remain, it is increasingly clear that naturally occurring substances such as Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) do not induce mere “hallucinations,” rather, they break down our perceptive barriers and literally expand the boundaries of human consciousness, enabling us to perceive layers of reality not readily accessible in our everyday lives. In other words, such substances may enable us to see what is already there, hidden in plain sight. Some people who take DMT do so precisely for the purpose of seeing and interacting with “alien” entities, and they are often successful in these endeavors. But are their alien experiences any less “real” than those of people who are not under the influence of psychedelics? I say no. There are countless examples in the modern UFO era of credible witnesses claiming to see UFOs and/or aliens in the vicinity of others who report nothing unusual at all. How do we account for this? It would seem that UFO reality is not objective; at least, not always. In fact, a great many reported UFO experiences are clearly subjective. This is not to say they are not real, but that human consciousness is far more mysterious than we know, and that, as many theoretical physicists contend, our consciousness creates our reality. We know that creative brains are wired differently than most, and it may be that this wiring predisposes an individual to phenomena that most of us will never experience, be it ghosts, fairies, aliens, or whatever label one chooses. When creative brains are affected by psychoactive substances, it is perhaps no surprise that anomalous phenomena may manifest. Even without the drugs, it may be that creative brains are better attuned to perceive a broader spectrum of reality than normal brains, and perhaps we should not be so quick to dismiss UFO reports from individuals our society might label “colorful” or “eccentric,” or even from those with a known history of drug use. Perhaps instead we should reexamine popular conceptions of the UFO enigma, placing greater emphasis on the role of the observer in generating UFO experiences and related phenomena. In my book, UFOs: Reframing the Debate, Greg Bishop posits what he calls “the co-creation hypothesis,” in which UFO phenomena may be “co-created”events between the observer and the observed. This theory allows for the existence of anomalous stimuli or even non-human intelligences, but suggests that whatever the underlying cause of UFO events, it is likely far more complex and participatory than mere extraterrestrial visitation. It raises serious questions about just how far off the mark popular UFOlogy is in its simplistic conceptualization of this phenomenon. With all of this in mind, here, for your consideration, are the UFO encounters of 5 celebrities with creative brains, all of whom have indulged liberally in illegal substances of one form or another… CONTINUE READING: mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/10/close-encounters-of-the-drugged-addled-celebrity-kind/

mysteriousuniverse.org/2010/08/the-king-has-left-the-planet-elvis-and-ufos/ The King Has Left the Planet: Elvis and UFOsby Micah Hanks / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/mhanks/August 19, 2010 Arguably, one of my favorite scenes from the 1997 film Men in Black involved Tommy Lee Jones popping an Elvis Presley eight-track cassette into the dash of a high-tech alien-mod vehicle he and Will Smith are blazing along in. When Smith chides him about whether he knows Elvis is dead, Jones’ character merely replies, “he’s not dead, he just went home.” Fast forward to the present. Whether or not Elvis died, was abducted by aliens, or as Tommy Lee Jones suggested, was an alien himself, it seems that Elvis sightings still occur to this day. What is without question, however, is the fact that the King of Rock n’ Roll did in fact have an interest in whether we were visited by brothers from another space-mother. A recent AOL News article detailed some of the more bizarre aspects of the King’s alleged dealings with extraterrestrials, including a bright blue UFO witnessed by his father, Vernon, the night baby Elvis was born. Only a few years later, Elvis was again said to have had an otherworldly encounter, this time having been contacted by two “alien beings.” The beings were said to have shown Presley a glimpse of his future as a rock n’ roller, according to author and UFO buff Michael Luckman, whose book Alien Rock details some of these incidents. But beyond the scope of merely UFOs, it is also known that Elvis was fascinated with mysticism and religion. Whether or not he believed in the existence of faerie folk is unclear, though the notion alone brings a funny ending to this story. Earlier today, a friend and fellow author, Daily Grail’s enigmatic (and slightly notorious Red Pill Junkie, sent me a link to a video I had initially misread to be, “Elvis in North Carolina?” Having pondered Elvis and his connection to ufology and spiritualism all day, I was somewhat saddened to find out the link dealt with Elves, not Elvis. Whoops! That said, it’s only right to share a little link love with you here also, courtesy of Red Pill Junkie’s own obscene fascination with the kinds of weirdness that usually decorates my stories: An Important Note About Elves (Not Elvis) mysteriousuniverse.org/2010/08/the-king-has-left-the-planet-elvis-and-ufos/

I know what Carl's [Sagan] is and Asimov's on ... you know a lotta people ... how do you explain the people who ... claim they have actually met people and been on spaceships and these are people who seem to be some of them intelligent people that don't seem to be umm making things up, is it ... do they do that, or do you think it's an hallucinatory experience or what?" Bradbury: I guess the way to put it is this: if strange creatures in the last nine years have landed on the moon, and they have, then the other is possible ... creatures coming the other way ... Bradbury: “I'm very open, I think most of us are. Carson: “You have to.” Bradbury: “Uh, you have to keep your mind totally open. Because uh ...” Carson: “But you know what I'm saying there are intelligent people who say, 'hey, we were out here, we saw them, we talked,' and yet there's not one shred of what they call hard evidence to support it.” www.theufochronicles.com/2020/09/ufos-flying-saucers-contactees.html

mysteriousuniverse.org/2021/09/demi-lovato-reveals-receiving-message-from-ets-for-her-birthday/Demi Lovato Reveals Receiving Message From ETs For Her Birthdayby Paul Seaburn / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/paulseaburn/September 30, 2021 Is Demi Lovato merely promoting a television show or is she on a quest to reveal to humans that extraterrestrials are here and showing themselves to us in unusual ways? You could vote for the former if you know that her new UFO docuseries “Unidentified with Demi Lovato” premieres this week and she’s making the rounds to talk about it. Or you could support the latter if you’re intrigued by a personal encounter she claims to have had on her 28th birthday when aliens appeared to her in a very unusual way. That’s the side we’ll look at here. “We were stargazing and we tried to do this protocol where you make contact, and all of a sudden something showed up directly above us in the sky. It was huge lights that made a question mark, almost, in the sky — and then it just like backed out. I realized [then] that my life was probably going to change in a spiritual way, because I have a spiritual connection to this journey as well.” A question mark in the sky made of orbs? This sounds almost too contrived to be true, but Lovato has never been shy about her extraterrestrial beliefs. In 2014, she told Seth Meyers she believes in ETs, and in 2016 she stated in an Elle Canada interview that she’d seen a worm UFO a few years before. However, this most recent encounter seems to be linked to a trip she made to Joshua Tree National Park in October 2020 with Dr. Steven Greer and his CE5 team when she “witnessed the most incredibly profound sightings both in the sky as well as feet away from me.” Lovato admitted at the time she’d had several sessions with Greer before this October encounter. However, she made no mention of a “question mark” in the sky. Also, her 28th birthday was on August 28, 2020. Was that a separate encounter? “The feeling that you get from these beings is so warm and loving and accepting that it’s just overwhelming joy that happens when you’re able to make contact. When I say make contact, I just mean intentionally try to meditate and try to manifest sightings. It’s not that I’m actually, like, shaking hands with these beings — although I would love that. I think these beings are extremely peaceful and loving and when they show up, you can absolutely feel that concept.” Sigh. It’s becoming obvious Demi Lovato is not trying to replace Tom Delonge as America’s favorite celebrity UFO discloser and alien exposer. She’s not looking for spaceship parts, dead aliens or X-files – she’s searching for “very caring, very intelligent beings that are just looking out for the best interest of our planet, because we need some help.” So, is Demi Lovato promoting her new show or promoting her concern about the state of the Earth? Is that why she meditated a question mark? “I want people to have an open mind and heart and to realize that these beings are looking out for our best interest. There’s nothing to fear. If they wanted to hurt us, they would’ve hurt us. Honestly, what people don’t realize is when we send out nuclear waste into our atmosphere, it doesn’t just stay there. It goes out into the universe. Nuclear waste goes out into other possible civilizations. So I think that we have to be careful of what we’re doing on this planet, and I think that they’re just looking out for us.” Are they? Is she? You’ll have to judge that for yourself. At this point, all we can say is concern for the state of our planet is a good cause. It would be nice if celebrities went searching for leaders who could make the changes rather than aliens. mysteriousuniverse.org/2021/09/demi-lovato-reveals-receiving-message-from-ets-for-her-birthday/
