I like that quote about the stupid people. I've seen it about a hundred times but I still laugh at it.

www.v3.co.uk/v3-uk/news/2460307/elon-musk-were-probably-living-a-computer-game-made-by-aliens Elon Musk: We're probably living a computer game made by aliensTechnology improvements on Earth suggest others could have made the world we think is real by Dan Worth / www.v3.co.uk/author/1523/dan-worth02 June 2016 Tech visionary Elon Musk thinks that there is a 'one in billions' chance that humanity is not living in a simulation created by aliens, given how many technological advances we have achieved in just 40 years. Musk was responding to a question posed at the Recode conference in the US. A video of the exchange can be seen below. “Forty years ago we had Pong - two rectangles and a dot. That's what games were. Now 40 years later we have photo-realistic 3D simulations with millions of people playing simultaneously, and it's getting better every year,” he said. Musk pointed out that the speed and scale of this improvement mean that we will eventually reach a point where games are "indistinguishable" from real life, even if it takes 10,000 years. “Soon we'll have virtual reality and augmented reality [and] if you assume any rate of improvement at all the games will become indistinguishable from reality, just indistinguishable.” This makes it highly possible that another race has already been through this process of creating games that are indistinguishable from real life and has actually created the world in which we live, according to Musk. “It would seem to follow that the odds that we're in 'base reality' is one in billions,” he said. This may be unnerving to some, but Musk said that it has a positive angle because our improvement suggests that the world that’s controlling us is healthy and functioning. “If civilisation stops advancing that may be due to some calamitous event that erases civilisation. So maybe we should be hopeful that this is a simulation.” Musk, who oversees Space X and Tesla, is perhaps well placed to offer such outlandish theories as he seeks to push into new areas of technological understanding. He has previously raised concerns with the development of artificial intelligence systems, warning that they could become the weapons of the future in an open letter also signed by Stephen Hawking and Apple co-founder Steve Wosniak. www.v3.co.uk/v3-uk/news/2460307/elon-musk-were-probably-living-a-computer-game-made-by-aliens

AND....he insists we are not living in a reality but something like a video game. Shades of Tron..LOL I added an article about his idea the other day. I saw an episode of twilight zone I think..maybe outer limits.. where this couple woke up in a very strange town. All of the houses were empty..everything was fake. No food in the refrig..just fake food and so on. Some really big alien guy had brought a couple of living 'dolls' for his childs play village and doll house. Well..if it's some sort of matrix..I've been ripped off and I wanna be a rich beautiful movie star for awhile. My turn.

") The fraction of posthuman civilizations that are interested in running ancestor-simulations is very close to zero;" And Why would our "simulators" have us pooping and peeing so much?? As for the "aliens" dropping off anyone, obviously they dropped off their own cultural rejects . .

Well yes..I think that's the idea behind the quote As for the pooping and peeing..maybe they were looking for something very authentic..they built receptacles for it apparently...of course...if it's not 'real'... then it doesn't actually exist in anyone's reality but the pseudo reality we evidently dwell in. Sort of like that part of the matrix..when the traitor is talking to one of the agents about going back into the matrix over a steak dinner. He is enjoying the steak that is tender and juicy..chased by a good wine..all understanding that it's not real at all. Probably where Elon got his idea or maybe the matrix was taken FROM his idea..chicken/egg...I will enjoy a good rare..tender..juicy steak upon occassion...and if it's a good one...do I care if it's real? ? Sheesh...does that mean the greys are part of our un-reality or are we a part of theirs?

Exactly.
Or maybe those computer programmers look at the 'alien problem' in our world as a computer virus.
****
You are of course right about the authentic.
Bigfoot cant be real if we never find any of his remains.

I guess that's true of all things. UFO's, fairies, elves..if there is no evidence...then...it boils down to what we want or need to believe. Sort of like God..pure faith. Have it or don't. Do demons exist? Well..exorcists believe so...that people can be possessed by something..calling itself demon. No proof of it... but eyewitnesses to it. Like UFO's or Bigfoot people have seen them. For me when the 'myth' persists..there is a basis of truth. I believe it. There is more out there ...than is dreamed of in our wee noggins, much less our philosophies.

What a CEO does isn't the same as what the engineers are doing. And frankly the "Now boys and girls, the moon really isn't made of green cheese" NASA managers who have actually killed 17 astronauts with their bad management strategy decisions have no room for picking on a guy who hasn't killed anyone AND he hasn't wasted billions of tax payer Dollars doing it. Yep, sounds a bit like those other stinky politicians out there that are plaguing the U.S. Who cares what he does in his off hours or anyone else for that matter?

Oh, why would I “argue” with You on such a grand holiday? 🤗
I DO CARE, if it is done to a “large extent”. 😉
After all, my teenage years were not spent laughing at Lucy or Bob Hope, but CeechnChon ! (Which, BTW, it was known back then, that “all the good stuff” was to be had, directly from, say, South of Texas?!)
MY brain is fried. No doubt about that.
As for the resident genius spoken about here, he is obviously into publicity stunts. (And we all know that I often recommend “playing stupid” to ferret out, well, the ferrets. 🤣).
The guy is funny.
(I just wish that he WOULD JUST DO some of his “altruistic endeavors”; instead of just talking about them... or “broadcasting”..... but I WONT be surprised, when I find out later that he DOES....)
My brain is fried. (Oh, I already said that)
😅😇

His SpaceX company docked a private space vehicle with the ISS, it was the first commercial spacecraft, to do so and one that he 'designed'. His company is developing a Mars vehicle for colonizing Mars. His scientists are developing terra-forming processes to recreate a breathable atmosphere on Mars.
He is the first to demonstrate (another of his long range visions...dreams) a mass transit system that doesn't rely on petro-chemical fuels.
His company Tesla Motors, released (at Elon's insistence) 145,000 manhours of Tesla developed fast electric car charging technology into the public domain to promote electric cars.
His Tesla autonomous self-driving automobiles were the first in the world to be mass produced. Other companies such as Google, developed prototypes, but none of them offered a production AI car.
He **INVENTED** PayPal.
He is much more than just a yakker!! There's no question he loves being in the spot-light. He stutters too much which drives me crazy (I was a stutterer up until my early teens. I learned how to speak on my own.) Musk's accomplishments are amazing. Everything that he has yakked about over the past 20 or so years he is either implementing or has actually accomplished the 'dream' through putting his money, efforts into doing so.
Elon Musk was born in Africa, he desired to come here for the American Dream!! :))

dolt
Dolt refers a person who isn't very smart. You might be called a dolt if you do something dumb, like stand outside your car complaining that you locked your keys inside — even though the window is wide open.

Let's be honest — you never want to be called a dolt. And if you're a kind person, you'll never call anyone else a dolt — unless they do something so frustratingly stupid that you can't take it anymore. Dolt probably came from the Middle English word dullen, meaning "to dull, make or become dazed or stupid." To help remember what dolt means, say it out loud, with gusto. With its guttural sound, the word itself sounds not very bright.
(Yep. I’m still in bed. Stalling. Looking up words that I already know what I think it means. Not thinking much.... obviously).

Tesla is building something about 30-40 miles from my home. 🤗 So far, all we have is the beginnings of a building and the word “Tesla”. ________________ I don’t know WHY I reference such things.... but currently, whenever I hear anything about saving the boys from the cave in Thailand, I think of Elan Musk. When I hear the word “tesla”, I think of Elan Musk (whereas I used to hear a song by a musical group...... a musical group who called themselves Tesla). I now know who Tesla really is (was), and who Elan Musk is. And what Elan Musk said about the (a) cave diver rescue of the boys..... It makes for a weird “representation” of our current world. But this was in the news, it “bothers” me, and I don’t know where to put it.... www.cnn.com/2019/12/28/asia/thai-cave-rescuer-dies-intl/index.htmlIf you look back at the whole rescue thing, it was a whole lot more complicated than a law suit involving Musk. We are SO DISTRACTED
