I don't see another report on this...Steve if you read this maybe you have it in your archives somewhere. It captured my attention because it is a sighting by Turkish pilots (One foreign, three Turkish)..November 1, 2002 who reported the incident to the flight safety departments of Turkey. It is recorded that the objects had been observed at 05.30 AM, at 22-36,000 feet, between Afyon and Yalova. The pilot of the plane which was the closest to the UFO squadron, Ercan Eken said, "Approximately 10-15 objects (but when you calculate the distance, as big as Boeing-747) were flying closely, 1-2 miles far from each other." This claim caused Captain Pilot Necmi Ekinci, the chairman of Turkey Airline Pilots Association (Talpa) to say, "Our friends are confident people. We trust on the information given by them". Turks aren't known for being either dramatic or whimsical. The report goes on to say that a meteor about the size of a 747 was blown up by a UFO before it could cause the damage it surely would have. The website I snagged it from is interesting in itself.. www.cosmicparadigm.com/cosmic-paradigm/turkish-meteor/

Jo, this is very interesting.. It may show if true, one alien race may be here to help us.. there are stories that will lead you to this conclusion..
Thanks for posting. I don't recall any case of a ufo blowing up an astroid. Of course they would have the means. Too bad we don't as of yet.
