when all else fails, use your own sense of deduction ;D.
Realize the "oz" factor hits different people at different times, and use your deductive powers and dry wit to let them know you are entirely serious and they need to 'snap out of it'. ;D

Before anyone reads into this boring post, the conclusion of what I saw was an Iridium (38) flare. In the early morning hours of Sunday ,June 9th ,at 2:20 a.m. the weather conditions was mostly cloudy but I could still partially make out some of the constellations. I saw a very bright flash. It was enough to grab my attention because of it's intensity. About 2 seconds later, it flashed again in the immediate vicinity of a star called "altair" in the constellation of "Aquila". I continued observing. A few minutes later, it repeated, this time in the constellation of "Cygnus" near a star designated "75 cygni". I checked a software called "Orion Starry Night SE" (special edition) in hopes of finding an explanation. (2 bright flashes about 2 seconds apart) 1st flashTime : 2:20 a.m. Approx. loc. - a few degrees S. of Altair ( 1st flash) Constellation - Cygnus 2nd flash same neg.(- 5) mag. ! precise location - R.A. 19h 50.791m ...................Dec. 8* 52. 186' (about 2 arc sec E. of Altair in Cygnus) 3rd flashTime : 2:23 a.m. Precise loc. - R.a.(J2000)21h 40.186 m ...............Dec. 43* 16.434' ( 75 Cygni) Note : This object was suspicious enough to verify. The flashes were bright enough to illuminate the clouds nearby. It is understandable why these flares Imho are often mistaken for ufo's.I have observed this same object on a few occasions last summer also.

I don't think that's a boring post. Those are good observation and deduction skills being put to good use. The UFO world needs more people who would take the time to figure things out like that.

Cliff. I was not going to mention it. but last night Sunday night looking Southwest I seen two flashes . One was out of the corner of my eye so I continued to watch and about a minute later there was another flash. We had part cloud cover also. It flashed above a tree in that direction or maybe I would of seen it a lot better. Sort of like the flashes last summer in Cape. I guess we look at the sky a lot more.. What is it caused by? It was no heat lightning either . We had none.

Hey Cliff. Check out this report that came in from Austin, Texas the beginning of June. www.texasufosightings.com/1/post/2013/06/mass-sighting-over-lake-travis-hundreds-of-orbs-most-incredible-sighting-i-have-ever-seen.htmlThere were at least five different reports all describing over a hundred lights zipping around in the sky. It kind of reminded me of that sighting you talked about a while ago where you said you saw a bunch of UFOs. I've seen photos of the lights in Texas and they don't look like Chinese lanterns. Possibly some type of LED balloons or something but according to the witness reports they were moving against the wind. I'm still trying to confirm that since the witness reports seem to contradict each other about which way the things were moving.

I'm sure the ones me, Kelly, and her son saw were not Chinese lanterns either as their altitude was far too high and their color was different and more star-like. They appeared to be particles of some type making a slow re-entry into the upper atmosphere but none left a trail. Since there wasn't any signs of disintegration, I have to rule that out. If it wasn't for the clouds just opening up at that time , I'm sure many others would have seen them. I thought they were aliens at the initial time we saw them but as I think back on it I no longer do. I don't know what they were. I'll try to look into this sighting in Texas more. Time has not been on my side lately.

I've been busy lately with everything that's been taking place. My daughter has been experiencing medical issues which have caused quite a bit of concern. Please pray for her. She's seeing a neurologist soon to find out why she's been having convulsions (3 different times this month). I'm very concerned for her.

Thanks y'all. She had another spell last night which would make two nights in a row. She has been o.k. today but we're going to get the ball moving tomorrow so she can see a neurologist a.s.a.p..

She's seeing a neurologist soon to find out why she's been having convulsions (3 different times this month). I'm very concerned for her. There are all sorts of things that can cause seizures or convulsions. Some are serious and some are not so serious. Many of them can be treated relatively easily if you find the cause. Here is a list of possible causes that I found just on one website... In general, seizures may be caused by many conditions, diseases, injuries, and other factors. These may include conditions such as the following abnormalities in the blood vessels of the brain, atherosclerosis, or hardening of the arteries supplying the brain, bleeding into the brain, such as a subarachnoid hemorrhage , brain tumors, chromosomal abnormalities, congenital diseases or conditions, high blood pressure, pregnancy and problems associated with pregnancy, stroke, transient ischemic attack, which is also called a mini-stroke. Diseases also can be a factor in seizures, they include advanced liver disease, Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementia, epilepsy, or a disease of the nervous system, hereditary diseases, infections involving the brain, including encephalitis, brain abscess, and bacterial meningitis, kidney failure, such as chronic renal failure.
Injuries that may cause seizures include choking, head injury such as a motor vehicle accident or sports injury, electrical injuries, injury during birth or in the uterus, poisonous insect bites or stings
Additional factors that may cause seizures include alcohol withdrawal • craniotomy, which is brain surgery, high fever, especially in young children, illegal drugs such as cocaine, lead poisoning, overheating, withdrawal from some medicines, including those used to treat seizures.
I had a seizure once after one of the many concussions that I have had. It happened one night while I was asleep. I fell out of bed and when I finally regained my senses I tried to stand up and couldn't because I was so dizzy so I crawled back into bed and went back to sleep. I was fine the next day and haven't had any problems since then. The problem with Cliff's daughter might be something very simple. The quicker it is diagnosed the quicker they can fix it. Hope everything works out ok.

The seizure happened several days after the concussion. It took me about a week to get over it completely. My brain cells were a little bit loopy there for a while...which is almost normal for me. I hope the docs figure out what's going on with Cliff's daughter.

Cliff . your daughter is in my thoughts and prayers. I know I have seizures from white lesions on my sensory nerves. The medication does seem to help.. but first you have to know what her convulsions are from. I pray it is nothing serious and only something temporary.

Any news, Cliff? Thinking of You . And your daughter. You didn't go into detail on her 'symptoms'. I was shocked to find out in the last couple of years that some people can feel the seizure coming on. They come in all different forms. You guys handled these at home. Now's not a good time to be looking into health insurance (when you're really sick), and I can't say that an emergency room visit would help anything anyway. Shoot, I still was reluctant to see Dr,'s for anything , with decent health insurance. I guess I sound "cold" here, but i'm trying to think of a reason why a Dr. wouldn't see her right away. Praying .

Thanks everyone. As for now she is doing fine. She is trying to get medical insurance first so she can get a proper diagnosis. If it happens again though, we wont hesitate to take her in to another hospital.

Thanks again.
I finally built up enough courage and returned to Lake Pomme De Terre the other night. It was the first time I've went back there during the night in several years. That's the place Ray and I saw the object come out of space, zig zag left to right several times, and then went back up in a few seconds time ("Perseid ufo" I call it).It was one of my favorite places to go fishing. I couldn't keep my eyes off of the skies while there. I felt very uncomfortable. I plan to go back again soon. Next time I'll take the telescope. I've decided I wont let nothing stop me from enjoying life,,,especially fear.

Thank you ! Please check "What Music Are you listening to " thread for rescheduling. There was an error with the venue. They double booked between national and local. They tried to move us ahead but we were booked on another date. Friday, Sept 27th will be the date for that particular show. We have more gigs but I'll try to get back here soon with scheduling,,,,gotta go.

Cliff. Well I'm sitting here but did not see anything this August 4 like that flash over the moon last year is Cape. I get nervous this time of year. Like maybe those darn aliens may want a reunion of some sort on the tenth. I hope we have clear skies for the meteor showers. I'm ready.
