www.inquisitr.com/2484287/nasa-alien-city-on-moon-ufo/by Jonathan Vankin October 9, 2015 A huge “alien city” has been discovered on the surface of the moon in a NASA photo, by a prominent UFO researcher — and this isn’t the first time that UFO hunters have claimed to discover actual cities on the moon, cities that the UFO enthusiasts accuse NASA of knowing about, but covering up for decades. english.pravda.ru/science/mysteries/31-10-2007/99895-moon-0/But this discovery is different than many claims by UFO researchers, because of where it was discovered. Not “where” in terms of the supposed city’s location on the moon, but where the NASA image turned up. Because this time, any armchair UFO enthusiast can hunt down this bizarre find and check for him or herself whether this image actually depicts an alien city, or UFO moon base — if the image is nothing but an optical illusion or photographic glitch. if you're having trouble clicking on links go to original article and click from there: www.inquisitr.com/2484287/nasa-alien-city-on-moon-ufo/The image turns up on the Google Earth app, in the often overlooked feature of the app known as Google Moon. ti.arc.nasa.gov/tech/asr/intelligent-robotics/planetary/moon/ While not every Google user is aware of this feature, which is available under the “View” menu and “Explore” sub-menu on the Google Earth software, Google moon actually allows users to explore the surface of the moon through a complex composite of NASA images. techcrunch.com/2014/08/05/google-maps-now-lets-you-explore-mars-and-the-moon-if-you-know-where-to-click/ “The Moon mode in Google Earth was released on the 40th anniversary of the first lunar landing on July 20, 2009,” NASA explains on the space agency’s site. “Much like the Mars mode, this allows a user to transform the blue and green ball of Google Earth into the Moon, and explore our nearest celestial neighbor as a world in its own right.” To find the “alien city” on the surface of the moon, open the Google Moon application and enter the following coordinates in the “search” field: 28°10’30.12″N 22°42’5.99″W.When you “land” at this location, here’s what you’ll see. (Image: NASA) For a full explanation of the “find” and more images of the supposed alien city, see the video on this page, above. According to the YouTube page for the video, this discovery was made by prolific UFO researcher Marcelo Irazusta, who has made numerous similar discoveries in the past. www.ancient-code.com/the-reason-why-we-stopped-going-to-the-moon-the-alien-agenda/October 31, 2015 The Reason why we stopped going to the Moon: The Alien AgendaAccording to UFOlogists, this image allegedly shows an alien base on the moon. According to Aldrin: “On Apollo 11 in route to the Moon, I observed a light out the window that appeared to be moving alongside us. There were many explanations of what that could be, other than another spacecraft from another country or another world – it was either the rocket we had separated from, or the 4 panels that moved away when we extracted the lander from the rocket and we were nose to nose with the two spacecraft. So in the close vicinity, moving away, were 4 panels. And I feel absolutely convinced that we were looking at the sun reflected off of one of these panels. Which one? I don’t know. So technically, the definition could be “unidentified.” Edgar Mitchell, the astronaut who participated in the Apollo 14 mission in 1971, and was the sixth man to walk on the moon said “after traveling in space, I am fully confident that the aliens are watching us. I do not know how many, where and how they do it, but watching us; We see these ships at all times.” NASA’s Apollo Missions have been anything but ordinary and scientific in nature. When mankind ventured out to the Moon, a vast ocean of mysteries was ahead of us, but this ocean wasn’t explored even though we managed to land on the moon, as a matter of a fact, the ocean of mysteries seemed to have increased as there are more mysteries about the moon than we ever thought possible. Earth’s Moon has always been a much talked about subject and speculation about what it may be have always been present. We have always wondered why we have not been to the moon recently, we have all seen the mysterious images of the moon that appear to show strange constructions on the surface of the moon yet no one has reached and explored the possibilities thoroughly. Most people believe for a fact that NASA’s Apollo missions were observed by alien beings. This theory which has been thoroughly dismissed by skeptics has been fueled by comments of Astronauts and highly ranking government officials. In 1979 Maurice Chatelain, former chief of NASA Communications Systems confirmed that Armstrong had indeed reported seeing two UFOs on the rim of a crater. “The encounter was common knowledge in NASA,” he revealed, “but nobody has talked about until now.” According to Armstrong, unofficially, “We were warned away.” “I cannot go into details, except to say that their ships were far superior to ours both in size and technology. They were great … and threatening “. Many people firmly believe that not all of the images released by NASA are the actual originals taken on the moon, and many believe this is because the original images of the moon reveal structures and artifacts that would cause pandemic among the general public. Many believe that there are hundreds of images from NASA that have been altered in order to hide structures, moon bases and artifact that prove there is an Alien presence on the Moon. NASA scientists Dr Farouk El-Baz described this the best way possible when he stated that “not every discovery has been announced to the public’” Interestingly, during the Apollo 11 mission, which was broadcasted on TV, there was a gap in the live transmission that lasted for a couple of minutes. While NASA states this was due to the fact that the cameras overheated, many people believe this wasn’t the cast and state that during that gap, radio operators around the planet picked up conversation between the Astronauts and NASA where Neil Armstrong talks about the presence of two giant Alien Ships that were observing the NASA astronauts from a distance. Even though NASA has never confirmed the conversation ever happened, here below is the ‘alleged’ transcript of the conversation between NASA and Houston during the ‘Television broadcast gap’: * “Armstrong & Aldrin: Those are giant things. No, no, no – this is not an optical illusion. No one is going to believe this! Houston: What … what … what? What the *bleep* is happening? What’s wrong with you? * Armstrong & Aldrin: They’re here under the surface. Houston: What’s there? (Muffled noise) Emission interrupted; interference control calling ‘Apollo 11’. * Armstrong & Aldrin: We saw some visitors. They were here for a while, observing the instruments. Houston: Repeat your last information! * Armstrong & Aldrin: I say that there were other spaceships. They’re lined up in the other side of the crater!” Of course there are many other transcripts where Astronauts and ground control talk about ‘Alien Ships” that are crucial pieces of evidence in all of this. www.inquisitr.com/2674411/ufo-hunters-spot-number-58-sign-on-surface-of-moon-and-mars-proof-of-intelligent-space-faring-alien-species-video/ODD NEWS JANUARY 2, 2016 UFO HUNTERS SPOT ‘NUMBER 58’ SIGN ON SURFACE OF MOON AND MARS — PROOF OF INTELLIGENT SPACE FARING ALIEN SPECIES?
by JOHNTHOMAS DIDYMUS Alien and UFO hunters claim to have spotted intelligently designed numerical signs inscribed on the surface of the Moon and Mars. UFO and space anomaly hunter Sandra Elena Andrade reports detecting the “number 58” inscribed on specific locations on Mars and Moon in Google Maps. In a video uploaded to YouTube on December 28, 2015, Andrade, who ascribes the “amazing discovery” to researchers “Marcelo Irazusta and his son James,” argues that the discovery of numerical signs inscribed on the surface of the Moon and Mars give evidence of the presence intelligent alien space explorers in our solar system. The UFO hunter and alien conspiracy theorist comments that the discovery confounds skeptics who ascribe all discoveries of space anomalies indicative of technologically advanced alien races to “coincidence” or “pareidolia.” “This ‘coincidence’ is undeniable even for those who reject this type of discovery, saying ‘pareidolia.’ Everyone can see and draw their own conclusions.” UFO Sightings Daily’s Scott Waring confirms the exact Mars coordinates of the “number 58” inscription as 1°29’8.27″N 23° 0’11.92″W, but reports an apparent error in Andrade’s specification of the coordinates for the alleged identical inscription on the lunar surface.“This #58 is there, and is easy to make out. I have only confirmed the Mars coordinates, so maybe if you get the Moon coordinates please tell us in comments,” Waring writes. Published on Dec 28, 2015 This amazing discovery by Marcelo Irazusta and his son James leads us to reflect on the possibility of the existence of intelligent signals. The number 58 existing on the Moon at the coordinate 43 ° 1'55.12 "S 9º45'57.30" O is very similar, but smaller, the existing on Mars in the 1st coordinate 1°29'8.27"N 23° 0'11.92"W This coincidence is undeniable even for those who reject this type of discovery is saying pareidolia. www.universetoday.com/127702/127702/ J.J. Abrams Heading To The Moon With Google Lunar X-Prize4 Mar , 2016 by Evan Gough / Video As the director of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” and “Star Trek Into Darkness”, J.J. Abrams is no stranger to space narratives. But now he’s leaving behind light saber battles and warp drive chase sequences to tackle something a little more realistic. Abrams’ newest project is a 9 part documentary series, called “Moon Shot,” that showcases 16 different teams of people competing for Google’s Lunar X-Prize. The teams of entrepreneurs, scientists, and inventors will have to engineer a spacecraft, have it land a rover on the Moon, travel 500 meters, and then transmit HD video and images back to Earth. And they have to have their launch contract verified by the end of 2017. This is a daunting task. Though the Moon might appear rather placid, and even safe compared to some of the hostile environments Earthlings and their spacecraft have ventured to, it’s not an easy place to do business in. We’re getting used to seeing rovers and landers and orbiters visit the Moon in what seems like a work-a-day process. But the Moon is still a hostile place. The temperature on the Moon fluctuates wildly. At its coldest, the temperature drops to a frigid -246 C (-412 F.) At its hottest, the temperature jumps to a scorching 100 C (212F.) A 350 C swing in temperatures is hard on equipment and requires robust designing and engineering. WATCH VIDEO: www.universetoday.com/127702/127702/

www.space.com/32368-new-nasa-lunar-technology-contest.html?cmpid=514648 To the Moon! NASA Contest Kick-Starts Innovative Space TechBy Elizabeth Howell, Space.com Contributor March 24, 2016 One of the technologies in the "Space Race" is the Regolith Advanced Surface Systems Operations Robot (RASSOR) excavator, which could mine for resources from hard-to-reach Earth mines, a moon or an asteroid. Credit: NASA A new NASA program rewards tech companies for building machines destined for Earth orbit — or even the moon. Dubbed "Startup NASA," the new program will make it easier for young companies to commercialize NASA technology by helping them with their cash flow and securing intellectual property. Until March 27, Startup NASA's "Space Race" competition will accept new entrants, who will have access to as much as $1.2 million in private capital from an unnamed, committed fund. NASA is running the competition in partnership with the Center for Advancing Innovation. Entrants can choose one of 10 NASA technologies, and then create a pathway for commercialization. One invention to be commercialized is the Regolith Advanced Surface Systems Operations Robot (RASSOR) excavator, which is designed to extract minerals and resources from Earth mines, the moon or an asteroid. "In the past four years, we've managed a 250 percent increase in annual patent licensing and have doubled the rate at which we release software to the public," Daniel Lockney, executive of Startup NASA, said in a statement. "Startup NASA and the Space Race challenge promise to continue that trend of making NASA's achievements in research and technology more accessible to people on the ground." Similar to the minispeeches from entrepreneurs you see on the TV show "Shark Tank," the companies will each create an elevator pitch for potential investors. Competitors who pass the first stage will write a full business plan, NASA officials said. The final presentations will be evaluated by judges, who then will select which entrants will license the technology and incorporate their businesses. (After that, they'd ideally develop and commercialize their product.) CONTINUE READING: www.space.com/32368-new-nasa-lunar-technology-contest.html?cmpid=514648

www.universetoday.com/128011/moonbase-2022-10-billion-says-nasa/Moonbase by 2022 For $10 Billion, Says NASA23 Mar , 2016 by Matt Williams / www.universetoday.com/author/mwill/Based on a series of articles that were recently made available to the public, NASA predicts it could build a base on the Moon by 2022, and for cheaper than expected. Credit: NASA Returning to the Moon has been the fevered dream of many scientists and astronauts. Ever since the Apollo Program culminated with the first astronauts setting foot on the Moon on July 20th, 1969, we have been looking for ways to go back to the Moon… and to stay there. In that time, multiple proposals have been drafted and considered. But in every case, these plans failed, despite the brave words and bold pledges made. However, in a workshop that took place in August of 2014, representatives from NASA met with Harvard geneticist George Church, Peter Diamandis from the X Prize Foundation and other parties invested in space exploration to discuss low-cost options for returning to the Moon. The papers, which were recently made available in a special issue of New Space, describe how a settlement could be built on the Moon by 2022, and for the comparatively low cost of $10 billion. Put simply, there are many benefits to establishing a base on the Moon. In addition to providing refueling stations that would shave billions off of future space missions – especially to Mars, which are planned for the 2030s – they would provide unique opportunities for scientific research and the testing of new technologies. But plans to build one have consistently been hampered by two key assumptions. CONTINUE READING: www.universetoday.com/128011/moonbase-2022-10-billion-says-nasa/

Credit: ESA/ Foster + Partners COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado — The European Space agency is pressing forward in its plans to set up a permanent human outpost on the moon. This envisioned "moon village," a product of international collaboration between spacefaring nations, will be a base for science, business, mining and even tourism, Johann-Dietrich Wörner, director general of the European Space Agency (ESA), said here during the 32nd Space Symposium earlier this month. The moon village would be open for use by ESA member states and other nations around the globe, Wörner said. ESA regards the moon as the next logical destination for humans beyond low Earth orbit, and utilizing Earth's nearest neighbor should pave the way for human missions to Mars, he added. [Home on the Moon: How to Build a Lunar Colony (Infographic)] www.space.com/21588-how-moon-base-lunar-colony-works-infographic.html "I think we should go first to the moon and then further on," Wörner said on April 13, during a session at the symposium called "New Generation Space Leaders Panel: The Future of Human Spaceflight." "I would not call Mars the ultimate goal. I am quite sure humans will go further," he added. It takes a moon villageWörner said the term "moon village" was chosen advisedly, to help people understand the purpose of such an outpost. "A village is something where different people are gathering with different capabilities, different opportunities, and then they build a community," Wörner said. "It’s not one village with some houses, a church." The idea, he added, is to bring together a variety of different actors from the public and private sectors. "But for me, it’s also a stepping-stone, a test bed ... to go further, for instance, to Mars and beyond," Wörner said. NASA aims to get astronauts to the vicinity of Mars by the end of the 2030s. This ambitious effort will require broad international cooperation, space agency officials have said. ignore the static in beginning...president kennedy starts talking at .25 static free...
President Kennedy's Man on the Moon Speech - May 25, 1961 | Today in History President Kennedy's Man on the Moon Speech - 1961 | Today in History | 25 May 16 Published on May 24, 2016 On May 25, 1961, President John F. Kennedy told Congress: “I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal, before this decade is out, of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely to the earth.” In Washington, what he considers urgent national needs brings Pres. Kennedy to Congress to deliver before an extra- ordinary joint session an outline of the challenges facing the nation - An exposition of the threatening perils he beleives demand of the people new measure of hardship and sacrifices. Kennedy's Speech - "These are extraordinary times and we face an extraordinary challenge, our strength as well as our conviction's have imposed upon this nation the roll of leader and freedoms caused. Finally if we are to win the battle that is now going on around the world between freedom and tyrony the dramatic achievements in space which occurred in recent weeks should have made clear to us all as did the sputnik in 1957 the impact of this adventure on the minds of men everywhere who are attempting to make a determination of which road they should take. Since early in my term, our efforts in space have been under review, with the advice from the Vice President who is chairman of the national space council we have examined where we are strong and where we are not, where we may succeed and where we may not, now it is time to take longer strides, time for a great new american enterprise, time for this nation to take a clearly leading roll in space achievement which in many ways may hold the key to our future on earth . I believe we possess all the resources and talents necessary, but the facts of the matter are that we have never made the national decisions or marshalled the national resources required for such leadership. We have never specified long range goals on a urgent time schedule or managed our resources in out time so as to ensure their fulfilment. I therefore ask the congress above and beyond the increases I have earlier requested for space activities to provide the fund that is needed to reach the following national goal. First I believe that this nation should commit itself to achieving the goal before this decade is out of landing a man on the moon and returning him safely back to the earth. No single space project in this period will be more impressive to mankind or more important for the long range exploration of space and none will be so difficult or expensive to accomplish. In conclusion let me ephasize one point, it is not a pleasure for any President of the United States as I am sure it was not a pleasure for my predecessors to come before the congress and ask for new appropriations which place burdens on our people. I came to this conclusion er, with some reluctance, but in my judgement this is a most serious time in the life of our country and in the life of freedom around the globe and it is the obligation I believe of the President of the United States to at least make his recommendations to the members of the congress, so that they can reach their own conclusions with that judgement before them, you must decide yourselves as I have decided and I am confident that whether you finally decide in the way that I have decided or not, that your judgement as my judgement is reached in what is the best interest for the country."

www.universetoday.com/129279/looking-lunar-letters/ Looking for Lunar Letters6 Jun , 2016 by David Dickinson / www.universetoday.com/author/david-dickinson/Do you see the 'Lunar W,' just below Mons Rümker on the lunar limb? Image credit: Apollo 15/NASA The Moon reaches First Quarter phase for lunation 1156 (which dates synodic cycles of the Moon using what’s called the Brown Lunation Number all the way back to January 17, 1923) this weekend on Sunday, June 12th, at 9:10 EDT/13:10 UT. Every culture sees something different in the face of the Moon. The Chinese saw a rabbit, and named the Yutu ‘Jade Rabbit’ rover in honor of the myth. In Longfellow’s The Song of Hiawatha, it’s the body of the Iroquois Indian chief’s grandmother we see, flung up against the Moon. The Greeks believed the Moon was a large polished mirror, reflecting back a view of the Earth below. Of course, if this were the case, it would be hard to explain just how the image doesn’t shift during the night, as the Moon moves across the sky. The annotated features on the lunar nearside. Image credit: Wikimedia Commons/ Peter Freiman(Cmglee). Background photograph by Gregory H. Revera. A cosmic Rorschach test, the Moon is tidally locked in the Earth’s embrace, keeping its far side forever hidden from our terrestrial vantage point. The subtle rocking motions known as libration and nutation allow us to peer over the edge just a bit, allowing us to see 59% of the Moon’s total surface. A glimpse of the far side had to wait until the Soviet Luna 3 spacecraft flew past the Moon on October 7th, 1959 and returned the first blurry images. One of the most famous of the lunar letters is the Lunar X, also referred to as the Werner X or Purbach Cross. This is the confluence of the rims of the craters La Caille, Blanchinus and Purbach located in the lunar highlands. The Lunar X becomes visible as the waxing gibbous Moon reaches seven days illumination, about 6 to 10 hours (depending on the incident sun angle) after First Quarter phase, and 6 to 10 hours before Last Quarter. The Lunar X can stand out in dramatic contrast against the darkness just beyond the lunar terminator, if you can catch it just as the first rays of sunlight hits the top of the ridge. Remember, the span of sunrise to sunset lasts two weeks on the Moon, and looking Earthward, you’d see the Earth in an opposite phase. All hail the ‘Lunar X’… image credit: Dave Dickinson. Sometimes, the Curtiss Cross feature is referred to as a lesser known Lunar X; the confluence of two or more crater rims on the battered surface of the Moon is far from uncommon. The Lunar X and the Lunar V features. Image credit and copyright: Mary Spicer Sweeping northward, the Lunar V feature in the Mare Vaporum is also sometimes prominent around the same time as the Lunar X, and it’s possible to nab both in the same image. Doubloons! Look for the lunar 'S' on the 19th September 2015 Other lunar letters of note include the Lunar S in Sinus Asperitatis (visible at 47% illumination just before First Quarter), the Lunar W located near Mons Rümker on the lunar limb in the Oceanus Procellarum, and our favorite of the lesser known lunar letters, the Lunar Q of crater Kies in the Mare Nubium reaching favorable illumination 10 days after New. You can see a partial listing of lunar letters in the WikiMoon article here. the-moon.wikispaces.com/A+B+C+shaped+featuresThe ‘Lunar Q’ feature… Image credit: NASA/LROC. Of course, circular craters provide a wealth of candidates for the ‘Lunar O,’ and straight line features such as the Rupes Recta lunar straight wall feature in the Mare Nubium could easily pass for the ‘Lunar I’. Veteran lunar observer Charles Wood made a call in Sky and Telescope magazine to fill out the visual lunar alphabet in a similar fashion akin to Galaxy Zoo… hey, who wouldn’t love to spell out their name in craters? Maybe some of the recently mapped worlds such as Mercury, Pluto or Ceres could come to the rescue, filling in the final letters? Many of these are optical illusions, tricks of lighting as the angle of the rising Sun slowly changes, casting shadows across the lunar landscape. Two illumination effects that are at work here straight out of art class are what’s known as the Clair-obscur or chiaroscuro phenomenon of light and shadow, and the Trompe l’Oeil effect, a three-dimension illusion of forced perspective. Follow features such as the Lunar X night to night as the Moon heads towards Full, and you’ll notice they nearly vanish amid the glare, as the Sun shines down from high overhead. The vanishing ‘face on Mars‘ was the result of the same trick of light seen in the early Viking 1 orbiter images. The ‘face’ vanished once the Mars Global Surveyor re-imaged the region during a pass at near-full illumination in 2001. Hey, why don’t conspiracy theorists ever cite the ‘Man in the Moon‘ as an artificial construct? Why lunar letters? Well, I think its neat, to see something as familiar yet improbable as a gleaming letter on the lunar surface staring back at you at the eyepiece. If you look long and hard enough, the universe will produce just about anything, including telescope-building primates with language, and an accidental alphabet written in the heavens. To the Far Side of the Moon: China's Lunar Science GoalsBy Leonard David, Space.com's Space Insider Columnist / www.leonarddavid.com/mars-base-camp-proposal-unveiled/ June 9, 2016 Moon's far side captured by NOAA's Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR). Credit: NOAA/NASA China is planning to land a probe on the far side of the moon as part of its Chang'e 4 lunar mission, with and new details about potential instruments for the spacecraft coming to light. Last month, scientist Y.L. Zou and colleagues from China's Key Laboratory of Lunar and Deep Space Exploration in Beijing were slated to discuss the Chang'e 4 moon mission (or CE-4 for short) during the Fourth European Lunar Symposium in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The CE-4 scientific objectives are anchored to a lander, a rover, and use of a telecommunication relay that will be sent to the Earth–moon L2 Lagrange point. Under the current plan, CE-4 would launch toward the moon in about 2018. The weight of payloads onboard the lander total about 77 pounds (35 kilograms) and 37 pounds (17 kilograms) on the rover. Credit: NAOC/Chinese Academy of Sciences Lunar objectivesCE-4 mission "propositional payloads" involve six on the lander, five payloads on the rover, and one payload on the telecommunication relay orbiter. The researchers report that the scientific objectives of CE-4 are many, including: * Study the characteristics and the formation mechanism of lunar surface floating dust; * To measure lunar surface temperature, analyzing its change with time and in different light conditions; * Measure the chemical compositions of lunar rocks and soils and study their distribution; * Carry out lunar surface low-frequency radio astronomical observation and research; * Identify the structure of cosmic rays, and to find the possible original position for these cosmic rays; * Observe the independent kilometer wave burst event from the high layer of the solar corona, investigate its radiation characteristics and mechanism, and to explore the evolution and transport of coronal mass ejection (CME) between the Sun and Earth. Could definitely play a roll. Boy no one would have wanted to be in my neck of the woods today or yesterday. 113 degrees at noon. 122 in Arizona. A jet coming from Texas to Arizona had to turn around because it was too hot for them to land. It's never that hot here . I am not a sun worshiper...I'm a moon kind of gal. Long as it behaves I sure don't mind 2 of them

This has been way hot even for Ariz..(our near neighbor). Mentioned a jumbo jet had to turn back because it was too hot to land. Hot again today but only 96. I can deal with the heat sort of..but I detest the humidity
