Uploaded by 2008albert on Oct 6, 2009 Yes, UFOs do exist, Japans top government spokesman said on Tuesday.
The comment was made by chief cabinet secretary Nobutaka Machimura before dozens of reporters at his regular briefing on government policy.
Earlier the cabinet, responding to an opposition lawmakers question, issued a statement saying it could not confirm any cases of unidentified flying objects.
This is an issue that the nation is interested in — it is a defence issue and a confirmation operation needs to take place, Ryuji Yamane, a lawmaker from the main opposition Democratic Party who submitted the question to the cabinet, told Reuters. Machimura, asked about the governments view on UFOs at a regular press conference, told reporters that the government is still investigating hundreds of sightings and it will be followed by an official announcement when the GOVERNMENT is ready to go PUBLIC with all the evidence they have accumulated as of now.

OK! This should stir things up a bit. I wonder how the First Lady to be knew that she was on Venus. Doesn't sound like "our" Venus. Green, beautiful....

We have had a few people from China sign up here on the forum but they only stayed a short period of time. I'm sure somebody else from Asia will join sooner or later.

Dunno but it's hard to get info, contact info on Chinese UFO organizations. There is supposed to be a huge UFO following there. The Chinese govt. has also formally acknowledged that they do appreciate the matter and are in the process of conducting due investigations and that such researches would be made public. I remember reading about it somewhere.. I think in a newspaper here.. In such cases, usually 'UFO Organisations' won't exist. In the US they mainly exist because the govt. formally denies a lot of it. If your govt. doesn't deny and acknowledge and agree with popular belief, orgs like MUFON will be extinct. Regards, Srinivas

How does the government in India feel about UFOs? Are there any UFO organizations there or do the people have more important things to do?

I also heard that Asians are a lot more open to psychic abilities and phenomena. One of my former co-workers from a couple years ago was from some islands near Asia and she said she was offered a scholarship at a prestigious psychic university out there because she has what is known to them as a "seers mark". Her husband showed it to me. It was a black dot on the side of her eyeball. He held her eye open and had her look to the side. It was very interesting...

How does the government in India feel about UFOs? Are there any UFO organizations there or do the people have more important things to do? I have never seen a formal reaction by an Indian Govt. - acknowledging or denying anything. Mostly to the best of my knowledge the govt. has remained largely nonchalant. About people in general, yes most urban people if not rural at atleast aware of the UFO phenomenon. Though I doubt if it has the same prominence as in the US. The talk out here is about UFO and ET but generally no one thinks in the direction of a Government Cover up - at least as far as I have observed. I think I have said this in the past on several occasions - I gave it the benefit of the doubt and considered myself - the ostrich that has buried its head in the sand! So I researched a bit. The following are some links that I have gotten: www.rense.com/general58/ufossin.htmancientx.com/nm/anmviewer.asp?a=66www.hiddenmysteries.org/mysteries/ufo/ufo-india.htmlwww.ashtarcommandcrew.net/forum/topics/ufos-in-india-what-is-obamaThe only thing I know is of the Underground base rumour. There seems to be more to it. Whilst I don't agree personally with some of the analogies presented there - it is what it is. Now - I want to know a few things. Obviously there is a lot of buzz about this UFO phenomenon in the US. I want to know how much of this is discussed by the mainstream media. How often do you find related news about it in the nations major news papers, television media - like CNN and such. Because I only follow that kind of stuff out here on a daily basis and I don't generally find news related to this. Is this the same in the US also? I also heard that Asians are a lot more open to psychic abilities and phenomena. One of my former co-workers from a couple years ago was from some islands near Asia and she said she was offered a scholarship at a prestigious psychic university out there because she has what is known to them as a "seers mark". Her husband showed it to me. It was a black dot on the side of her eyeball. He held her eye open and had her look to the side. It was very interesting... It is true. It is also noted and acknowledged that there are yogis and sadhus in the Himalayas who have mastered their minds and can perform various tasks/acts unimaginable to normal people such as levitation, telekinesis, telepathy and such. These are also scientific theories and I personally believe these can be done. I have experimented myself. I look at a person with undivided attention to him/her and within 30 secs, they look at me. But as I observe the mind must be very calm. The people who practice meditation and yoga are generally like that. I haven't seen many westerners with a calm mind actually...no offense.. ;D They generally always seem quite excited and agitated - happiness or sadness! The mythology, culture and tradition here also actually have you quite open to different possibilities. Regards, Srinivas

Americans tend to have a much more 'dramatic' personality than do most other races. Some seem very 'nonchalant' to us and our hyper awareness. It's something that many of us struggle with. I've carved out (with a lot of meditation help and help from sine waves) a haven inside of chaos for my family and I. About the time of my heart attack I knew I had to slow it down but what most of you are born with..comes with difficulty for us Our media does pick up now and then UFO stories..sightings. Two come to mind especially..one in Arizona that was very hard to not broadcast because of so many witnesses..and the Chicago airport sighting..again with many witnesses. Always when they report, there is an 'edge' of disbelief or some incredulity on the part of the media. The way out that says..we never did really believe it. I think the US is very torn between those who don't want to believe it, those who don't have time for it in their hectic lives and those who know it and want everyone else to see it. If you believe in something..then you might have to deal with it eventually..but like that ostrich...if you can't see it..maybe it will miss you Seems our motto is....'something more is needed' and the rest of the worlds is..'geeze take a break would you'.

well.. i really don't know how to keep a watch for these you know.. Id much rather see something like the one shown in E.T movie or something. Upclose and personal! I am quite jealous of all you people to tell you the truth.. coz I can't know what it really feels like, unless I am you!
Ofcourse like you pointed out - unless this Ostrich sees something on its own, there will always be that 1 percent doubt. And then, I guess you would want everyone else to see the same..

Also.. you guys look at this one and tell me about it.. if this can be really classified as a 'sighting'.
This place is like 200km away from where i am living - Vizag city. I am not the one pointing anything.. but generally people draw parallels between UFOs and military.
Vizag happens to be the Eastern Naval Command HQ. It also has many submarines, builds torpedos, sub-marines and warships.
