Ufo4peace. Are you saying you are one of the same. pigscanfly.. I thought it was pigswilfly all these years Just so there is no confusion, ufo4peace and pigswillfly are not the same person. Pigswillfly is a young lady from Australia. Ufo4peace is a dude. His reference to "pigscanfly" was just to illustrate a point he was attempting to make.

Did you ever see a crime prevention program where a teacher is in the classroom and a man runs in and grabs something off the table and runs out real fast. Everyone is told to give a description but the details are different. Sometimes what we think we remember and what actually happens are not the same although the gist of what happened may be correct. Something unusual may have happened to a person such as a close encounter or an abduction. Now if you had a time machine and revisited you in an earlier life you may observe things that you totally forgot about and how you remembered things and how things really were may not be the same. Some people may feel disappointed. They tell a story about something that happened to them but some of the details overtime worked its way into the story. Not only can aliens implant (no pun) a screen memory to mask their activity but you can create your own false memory or confabulate and actually believe your own false memory. Your brain also takes in a lot of information. Your eyes will capture a lot of imagery. Now when you have that gut feeling that something isn't safe instead of a sixth sense what is actually going on is right away your brain in processing information faster than you can consciously recognize it. It recognizes that something is ajar, out of place. Sometimes information you brain views as unimportant is stored in your subconscious mind or as the expression goes in the back of your head. You may have a dream telling you where your brother lost that coin because during the day you saw him playing in the back yard and it could have been a fraction of a second glance but like so many events that happen during the day it's not something you remember when he later becomes upset that he lost his coin. So you may convince yourself that you have special psychic abilities but it was your mind all along. Some people want to feel special. Certain things that happen to them are attributed to what they convince themselves as special abilities. You may think you know what someone is thinking. You are having hamburger helper for dinner and they go along with it saying wow! how did you guess? But in actuality they could just be playing with you. It's just away to pass the time with banter. Sometimes people attribute sheer luck or coincidence to fate or something from beyond. You barely averted a car accident, it was your guardian angel. You got three numbers right in the lottery, it was your psychic abilities.

That's true, dude. But it's also true that sometimes some people really do have psychic premonitions and visions and other weird abilities that aren't just their imagination. I have seen visions of future events that ended up happening exactly the way that I foresaw them, and sometimes the events occurred just a few seconds or minutes after the vision. It ended up being exactly the same down to the smallest detail. Let me give an example.
One night I was driving from Dallas to Amarillo and had been driving for several hours through the pouring rain. All of a sudden I had a vision that flashed before my eyes of me driving into a flash flood. I could see myself hitting the water, I saw a huge wall of water spray up in front of me with the headlights shining on it illuminating the dirty brown color of the water, then as I slowed to a stop the water came cascading back down over the windshield. I saw all of that as if I were seeing it through my own eyes.
Immediately after that I took my foot off of the gas and started slowing down and about thirty seconds later I came over a small hill and drove right into a huge flood. There was a normally dry riverbed that was filled with water to the point that it was up over the guard rail on the highway. The riverbed had to be at least twenty feet deep so there was more than twenty feet of water that would not have normally been there. I drove into it exactly like I had envisioned myself doing just a few seconds before. It happened exactly the way I had seen it happen...the wall of water spraying up with the headlights illuminating it, and then it cascaded back down on top of me. It was exactly the same down to the last detail.
Now you may be saying that it was just a coincidence but things like that have happened to me hundreds, if not thousands of times. Those all can't be coincidences. I have never driven into a flash flood before so what are the odds that I would coincidentally drive into one just seconds after having a vision of myself driving into a flood?
Another time I had a vision of seeing a car coming from the opposite direction on a divided highway and the car lost control, smashed through a wooden picket fence that divided the median, then flew sideways through the air and landed in my lane. A few minutes later that happened exactly the way I had envisioned it also. Is that another coincidence?
Like I said before, unless you are experiencing these things for yourself it is easy to dismiss them just like it is easy for most people to dismiss alien abductions. I have had corroborating evidence that these things occur. The abduction that I had back in 1988 was shared by my best friend who remembers it happening exactly the same way that I remember it. He has premonitions and visions also, although he refuses to admit it. I have seen him do it though. He doesn't believe in psychic abilities either, or alien abductions for that matter, even though he experienced both of them. I wouldn't have believed it either if there hadn't of been so much overwhelming evidence. Too many things have happened that can not be explained by conventional scientific thinking.
You don't have to accept my word for it though. It took me two decades before I finally accepted it myself...and even today I am still searching for answers about what is really going on.

sky, I seen a car on the highway and it vanished in front of us. I had my two brothers with me and we all went into this blank face look and stared at one another at that instant.. Right then without asking I knew they had seen what I seen. we looked on both sides the roads into the flat farmland nothing was there . it was a yellow sport car convertible. Against the black dirt we have here in Illinois and in broad daylight on flat a board ground. It if was in one of the field. we woud of seen it. yellow on black full sun that day. the car was so bright coming at us. but we never passed it on the road. Weird weird..
Tell ufo4peace about the victorian home that vanished . with the lanterns on. It would do no good as we don't have proof..

@ ufo4peace. I'm curious about the time when you saw pigs flying . Do you mind if I ask what time of the day it was and also if you feel that this may have been a screened memory perhaps? Anything you may add to this would be appreciated, thanks ! Also, is that the main reason you became interested in ufology ?

Please except my apology, ufo4peace. You "seem" like a dude to me, you list yourself as male, and I recall you recently talking about living near one of the "occupy" sites. " . . . . some people really do have psychic premonitions and visions and other weird abilities . . " There's that statement again ;D . Other weird abilities. Skywalker said it this time... Maybe they can't be labeled. Someone may be able to "bend a spoon" but not able to move a lamp, for example. I guess the things Edgar Cayce did could fall under "weird abilities". I understand the "weird abilities" point, I believe. Some of the abilities we have may be useful (or not), some may come and go, etc. Regardless of an "alien connection", I'm just curious about such things. For example, one of the things I do I consider "pure luck". Notice that I didn't say CAN do. It is not an intention, though seems it could be. When picking up a set amount of something, say, 25 pieces of paper, I pick up that exact amount from a ream of paper. It also happens with cards. Gathering 15 pencils out of a holder, etc. (that is more visual of course). This happens so often that I can almost depend on it. It is nice. I'm also double-jointed (like lorelei), but that isn't what I'm talking about here... Thanks!

Trying to convince someone of psychic abilities is like trying to convince someone of God or of UFO's or of ghosts. We just do not all believe the same and I think it's important that we don't. It matters to the people I've helped..it matters to my family and to me but other than that..who the heck cares if I can do some clever 'parlor tricks' ? We walk different paths as should be. Eventually...in the fullness of time...we will all know...all of the answers. Until then...it's enough to just get along. In my opinion.

Trying to convince someone of psychic abilities is like trying to convince someone of God or of UFO's or of ghosts. I make the distinction between UFO's that are real, only their origin is debated, and the pseudoscientific stuff. All religion, psychic ability, clairvoyance is *bleep* to me. When it comes to alien abduction I believe the aliens are not God's with magical abilities. The so called "Telepathy" can easily be achieved using technology. Telepathic instruction: In 1973, the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research discovered that by pulsing microwaves to produce "audiograms" (analogs for spoken words) and directing these microwaves on people, they could make a person hear voices inside his/her head. When debate becomes argument for the sake of argument..then it's progressed in a direction that isn't going to evolve into anything other than argument I respect your right to believe or to not believe in anything or nothing. As I said...it's our differences that make us more unique than robots.. ;D

I don't think they are gods or magicians either, they are just different from us. Maybe they have somehow evolved the ability to communicate telepathically, or maybe they use some kind of technology to do it. There are a lot of things we do not know about the universe or about what is or is not possible. We should keep an open mind.

I can agree with that for sure. Anything less than an open mind is a pretty narrow existence Toooooo many explainable goodies surfacing or rather..more people coming forward with remarkable tales because it's more accepted than it was. One of my favorites is the 'back in time' glimpse you had Sky

Society would be much different today if people had telepathic abilities and were mind readers, psychics. The palm reader with a crystal ball could just play the lottery and retire but unfortunately those sort of abilities only exist in certain people minds. As far as the stories posted in this thread they are only stories. People lie a lot, there are story tellers. I keep that in mind read UFO and close encounter cases.

I guess I need to go back through this thread and decide who is lying and who isn't. ;D
I agree that memories can be "altered" by our own perception, by feed back from others (other witnesses), and even by details we may later dream about.
"Pulsed Microwave Audiograms Human auditory system response to Modulated Electromagnetic Energy"
Interesting. Wonder about the amount of exposure...

Amazing..it never occurred to me that anyone here...might be lying..why would anyone bother? I always bear in mind..that just because I believe something..does NOT mean it is the truth and that goes for everyone in here. It's our belief..and generally our beliefs define us but well..blushes..I used to believe in the Easter bunny. That probably did define the child I was then...open..all the possibilities the world could offer shining in my eyes. Until some jerk told me the Easter bunny wasn't real..did that moment define me too? Make me a bit more jaded? UFO4Peace..while you KNOW psychic gifts are not real..we KNOW they are..they are a very big part of our lives and what is a part of you makes you who you are. The abduction my friend and I went through colored my opinion of anything 'other worldly' and caused me to 'hunt' the answers that bring me here. I find like minded people here..who think as I do..feel as I do..seek as I do. Most are psychic as I am. I'm old enough to have witnessed many many amazing and miraculous things in my years. I KNOW when I leave this place I go on to the next step of existence...but you KNOW when we die..we die. I'd rather be me I think in that instance What we have in common...we KNOW what we KNOW to be true. I think it's important that we respect what we all know to be true. We're all just a bundle of opinion until we're in the middle of it. I don't think anyone lies here but if anyone does..it's probably necessary to that person and may not be a lie but what that person actually believes. There IS a difference

Amazing..it never occurred to me that anyone here...might be lying..why would anyone bother? Jokelly, the problem with telepathy, ESP et al. is part of what makes you who you are is you are an independent thinking person. Your thoughts can not interfere with other people or vise versa. What's the point in lying if someone can read your mind right? Think how telepathy would affect our judicial system. One thing I noticed reading close encounter reports is aliens or the occupants sometime converse with each other and people also report guttural speech or what not. This tells me that what is described as telepathy is a stealthy way to communicate to the subject.

Yes. I have heard about this. I will try to watch the video sometime today and see if anything "new" is noted. Thank you . "One thing I noticed reading close encounter reports is aliens or the occupants sometime converse with each other and people also report guttural speech or what not. This tells me that what is described as telepathy is a stealthy way to communicate to the subject. " (from ufo4peace, page 5) Thank you for sharing this, also. I agree. Telepathy feels "stealthy" at this point, because it is not something we can do consistently. I wonder....in the meeting for loreleis' job, where her and another person voiced the same thoughts several times, if the government (or private company) had "permission" to observe such meetings, and try to "enhance" natural abilities. (also, it is worth noting, that ufo4 peace does not sound like he thinks the above information is a lie .)

" . . . . who the heck cares if I can do some clever 'parlor tricks' . . . . ." (from jokelly, page 5) ;D Every time I thought of this comment yesterday, I grinned. The words "parlor tricks". IMO, this is more important than any one can even know right now. As much as we advance, we also "slip back" (for lack of better term; sorry). Just this am on a news report on Herman Ca, ,in>>/, a reporter casually said "I've been checking the tea leaves". . . Yes, he probably was trying to "keep things light", but if you pay attention, more and more of these type of statements are becoming part of regular, everyday conversation. The statements will hold some validity for some people . I DO CARE about what jo does for her family and close friends, and would not call it a clever parlor trick. I am personally insulted that someone could come under attack on teor for something they were kind enough to share with us. (Maybe it wasn't meant as an attack. But that's one reason why I'm studying linguistics.) Anyway, it became that term when other people used their ability for whomever, for monetary gain, and didn't have the honesty to say sometimes "I'm sorry, I'm not getting anything on you" and hand them their money back. I would hate to think that all the pictures, sounds etc. that we get in our head are "beamed to us by some machine", every day, every time. And when it involves helping other people, for what purpose? Am I supposed to believe that a machine wants us to help each other?? Is this a "test", or another way to "keep us in line"? I think not. I avoid "fortune tellers". I don't want someone "in my head" though that's not what it's all about. I want to "make my own future" . However, in certain environments, I sense "them" and they sense "me", which is kind of cool. Basically, we meet eyes, and there is that sense of "knowing". Ok, here's where I talk about something conceived as "religious", so if that offends, quit reading. In Kansas City there is a large Christian "movement" called international house of prayer. They are available to people in some form or another 24-7. I have a book by the man that "had the dream" of this church, that talks about the prophetic word as he (and others) see it. and of course this "church" has controversy and detractors following it. How do I say this? One evening some young people from this church were walking around my neighborhood. I was outside shoveling the driveway on a beautiful snowy night. One of the young men came up to me and said something very profound about my PAST. About a relative. This did not make me want to ask him about my future. I kindly told him to stop, and that I didn't allow people to "prophesy" over me. He was gracious, I chatted with the group a bit, and went back to shoveling . My point is, to me, these things happen usually without some "plan" in place. I mean, a person could spend time in meditation or prayer, and receive an answer then, or days later. That's still not "planning". I agree that we can't convince someone to believe in psychic abilities. I guess I just wanted to show I do believe, even when it's not one of my own "visions".

I often make 'light' of things that make others uncomfortable JC..it's something I've developed over the years. The incidents didn't actually show up until after the first encounter I had when the thing stuffed something in my ear...and left it buzzing for eternity LOL. I started dreaming of my father being taken away and that's when his heart attacks started. Every one..was preceded by the dream and I was 5-6 at the time. Fortunately for me..my family was the kind to just go with it..instead of wigging out. It's not telepathy though..I don't read minds..I 'see' events . I found a murder weapon for some people who's brother had been stabbed. The killer had stuffed it in a hole in his bathroom. I was in California...they were in Tennessee so distance doesn't have to be a factor but it's helpful if it's something very serious to the person asking. Absolutely useless bent..I can always know the sex of unborn children..that's the 'parlor trick' end. I don't think anyone can read minds..that would be way too invasive and the brain just doesn't work in that way. .If people could actually read personal thoughts.. they would be government employees and not on the payroll I'm not so sure it isn't alien technology though. I know they can manipulate motion and memory but they never tried to soothe..or mess with the pleasure senses of the brain. Neat trick that would be..torment someone and make them like it ....shudder.

"Absolutely useless bent..I can always know the sex of unborn children..that's the 'parlor trick' end."
Ah. And I just "manipulated you" into the answer that I want ;D . Do you feel "manipulated"? I HOPE NOT.
I also know the sex of unborn children. So does lorelei. Anyone else?
My daughters around age two both complained their "heart hurt" and my dad was having a heart attack (I knew, and had called my mom, but called in private). My dad had just left my house and was headed home.
There's a list out there of common signs that a person has been abducted by "visitors".
I want a list of "parlor tricks" that are common to people who show psychic abilities. Anything wrong with that?
One of the "tricks" may be seeing the visitors.
Like cliff said, we may be aware of something that the general population isn't (I may be twisting his words).

I don't think jokelly meant to insult me. I think she was trying to brush off my curiousity about abilities because at that moment, to her, it seemed silly. Maybe it was my timing . But I was thinking, "I thought we could talk here on teor about anything?" I do not think that "other abilities" is trivial. The example just given: 3 people here know the sex of an unborn child. Oh, that might be pretty important in the near future... And if we are talking about "abilities" we already have, or we have developed since a "visit", or been recently "tweaked", doesn't it strike any of you how odd it is that as we speak, scientists are "tweaking" human dna? The "insulted feeling" was fleeting. Please excuse my impatience with answers....

I'm a telepath Jo. I read thoughts. I have read yours too. Sorry if that makes you feel uncomfortable. I've read sky's thoughts too, he can tell you that.
Telepathy is not really invading someone's privacy, that's not how I look at it. The way I look at it is as a form of "sharing" oddly enough, an awful lot like how "Han" describes the interconnectedness of his species.
A true telepath does not judge people based on his or her own thoughts. A true telepath recognizes that we all have our little quirks and our little anxieties, phobias and "buttons" for others to "push"... whether intentional or inadvertent.
Bewildered also admitted to being a telepath I believe... it was not on this forum though it was another one.
These are my personal abilities:
* Precognitive: Dreaming of future events. I've had this ability since my early childhood.
* Medium: I can read the thoughts of those who have "moved on", I have the ability to "channel" but I do not do this anymore... it's dangerous... and I also use tarot cards as a way to communicate with the spirit world.
* Empath: I can "feel" the emotions and sometimes physical ailments of another person as though it were me. If someone I know very well is upset, I tend to call them out of the blue and demand to know what's wrong. I do this with my friend who lives in another town all the time. It bothers him but he's used to me by now... I've been doing it to him for six years you see. I'm also the kind of person who randomly hugs customers without asking for their consent. Nobody has ever gotten mad at me... because I am always able to "read" the person to determine whether or not they will mind... but yea...
Telepath: I tend to finish the sentences of others while conversing with them... either in online chat or face to face. When my former co-workers found out about my ability they stood behind me at the cash register and asked me to read each customer who approached. The first three said they didn't want me to. The fourth one said, "Sure." I told him he was thinking about purchasing a red SUV. His jaw dropped open. He couldn't believe it because I was right. I had never met him before just so you know.

JC I wasn't trying to brush anyone's questing about abilities..I was trying to say that for those who have them..they're just a part of us..I apologize for offending. I take them so much for granted. No..I didn't feel manipulated..you seemed to want to know what I meant and I just answered I am sometimes..too glib in my answers...but it's seldom directional. Lorelei..we can't 'know' the extent of what someone else can sense. If you've read my thoughts then you know they are very much concerned with taking care of my family and trying to better myself as a person. I am concentrating very hard on bringing my two paths (spiritual and earthly) into balance which is enough to occupy anyone considering my life style. Many synapses are occupied with worry for my husband who is in a lot of pain and declining rapidly..I worry for my children and keeping them safe. I weave as many protective spells and prayers as I possibly can. I talk to angels..I read my cards daily asking for guidance..I talk to God and to the ascended masters..I spend only time here...concerned with UFO's or the wee tiny demons who travel in them. If that's what you 'saw' then indeed..you saw me and I don't mind..I tell anyone who might ask

From my experience when people's belief systems that border on religion whether it be a new age belief system or a traditional one like Christianity are challenged the person becomes very irate and angry. You point out some obvious paradoxes and it's almost like a defense mechanism kicks in.
Yes, but how do you explain these predictions that came true, I did see the Virgin Marry, God did speak to me. When psychic abilities are tested in a lab the results are always negative or mixed. It's ugh...because it's something that comes and goes but it's very real...you are a demon trying to deceive me... and it degenerates from there where your like okay time to leave this person alone. They will believe what they want to believe.

That pretty much describes the entire UFO community. You have the believers and the skeptics and both are just as religious in their beliefs. The same could be said about abductions since many ufologists don't want to accept the abduction phenomenon as being real. Psychic abilities might be just another aspect of the abduction phenomenon with just as many people taking sides on it.
I personally don't consider my feelings about psychic abilities to be religious in nature. It is more of an acceptance than a belief. I have had these experiences, I have not been able to refute them scientifically so I (reluctantly) accepted them. I don't get upset when somebody challenges what I say about them either. Like I said before...if a person hasn't experienced them for themselves they probably won't understand.
As for testing psychic abilities in a lab I don't know if that would work or not. The abilities that I have could not be tested because I have no control over them. They happen when they want to happen, not when I want them to. It seems that they happen more frequently when I am not even thinking about them...or anything else for that matter. It works the best if the mind is totally blank.

Abductions are very plausible because we tag animals in the wild and experiment on monkeys or mice.

Try to explain that to people who don't believe in UFOs...
