See, I knew it was a ghost car. I bet if it was a donut truck the cops would have found a way through. ;D

That fence would not have slowed them down if they were after donuts. ;D
"Calling all cars! Donuts are on the loose!" ;D

I just found a new to me TV show on the Space Channel. Fact or False (something like that - on last night)
Anyway - they featured the car chase with the police car in which the white car seems to go through a chain link fence. I know I've seen that video a couple of places - here too I think.
Anyway they talked to the policeman and worked with his on dash video. He mentioned that some of the fence attachments (that hold the mesh to the frame) were missing. They had a stunt man try several versions of how a car might drive through a fence (and it remain intact). Over didn't work. But with half of the attaching wires missing the car goes under the fence and then the mesh falls back into place. Comparing the two videos seemed to be a perfect match - the policeman was just far enough behind to miss the mesh falling back down like a curtain - and he caught the taillights as it sped off on the wrong side of the fence.
No one implied that the policeman was "in on" the stunt. It seemed to be an interesting show - they were going to do the one of the strange stilted being (which I've also seen) but I think they determined there wasn't enough to work with. They did discard a few others that were obvious hoaxes or couldn't be verified.
An interesting show - it remains to be seen if any of what they are investigating turns out to be a true mystery.

I wonder if the crooks did that on purpose? Maybe they made the fence so they could go under it because they knew the cops would be chasing them later and they wanted to be able to get away.
