BAck when I ran a rescue mission I would have cooked up a dozen turkeys and all the related food for a free Christmas dinner for hundreds of street people. Now its family and friends around a lighted tree and a warm fire with a drink of home brewed chocolate mint whiskey for the adults and egg nog for the kids. merry Christmas. the forum is acting odd jumping around alot

No government shutdown can keep annaD from tracking Santa's journey on Christmas EveBy Christina Maxouris, CNN / Mon December 24, 2018 (CNN)The guessing days are over. The North American Aerospace Defense Command and its top-notch radar system will tell you when to get your cookies and milk ready for Santa's arrival. For 63 years, the organization otherwise tasked with detecting aerospace activity has turned its attention to Santa Claus on Christmas Eve -- tracking his sleigh and nine reindeer as they glide through the night to every child's house -- well, the ones he's deemed good for the year. It's a tough task, but annaD says they are the "only organization that has the technology, the qualifications and the people to do it." And even if the federal government has shut down, annaD announced Friday they'll continue to track Santa's journey. Military personnel and more than 1,500 volunteers will field calls on Santa's location and continue the decades-old tradition. ******************************** annaD & USNORTHCOM ✔ @annad_Northcom In the event of a government shutdown, annaD will continue with its 63-year tradition of annaD Tracks Santa on Dec. 24. Military personnel who conduct annaD Tracks Santa are supported by approximately 1,500 volunteers who make the program possible each and every year. Dec 21, 2018 ******************************** Take a peak at Santa's journey here. www.annadsanta.org/ You can call annaD Tracks Santa Operations Center at 1 877-HI-annaD (1 877-446-6723) or send them an email at annadtrackssanta@outlook.com. One thing the organization won't have the answer to is how the big jolly guy manages to slide down chimneys. annaD says they're still trying to figure that out. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/flashback-watch-willie-nelson-and-stephen-colberts-little-dealer-boy-176450/ Flashback: Watch Willie Nelson and Stephen Colbert’s ‘Little Dealer Boy’The pro-pot country icon teamed up with the recently departed Comedy Central host for 2008’s ‘A Colbert Christmas’By Andrew Leahey / www.rollingstone.com/author/andrew-leahey/December 24, 2014 Leave it to Willie Nelson — whose reddish-white hair, jolly disposition and fondness for green foliage sort of makes him the Stoner Santa Claus — to ditch the Christmas season’s traditional scents of frankincense and myrrh in favor of the potent, pungent aroma of marijuana. Back in 2008, Shotgun Willie teamed up with a comedic dream team — including The Colbert Report host Stephen Colbert, Daily Show executive producer David Javerbaum, Portlandia writer Allison Silverman and Fountains of Wayne’s Adam Schlesinger — to deliver “The Little Dealer Boy,” a 420-friendly tribute to the holidaze. In the song, Nelson plays the oft-forgotten “fourth wise man” who shows up to Jesus’s crib with his own special gift. [Watch the video above.] “And like the child in this manger, this herb is mild, yet it is strong,” he sings over synthesized strings and acoustic guitars, adding, “and it brings peace to friend and stranger; good will to men lies in this bong.” “Little Dealer Boy” made its prime-time debut as part of A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!, a Comedy Central TV special that aired in November 2008, just four days shy of Thanksgiving. During the hour-long broadcast, Colbert finds himself trapped in a cabin in New England. Boxed inside by a bear that’s been prowling the premises, he winds up soliciting visits from several friends — including Nelson, Toby Keith, John Legend, Feist and Elvis Costello — who drive away a potential case of cabin fever by playing some seriously off-beat Christmas songs. The two-and-half-minute clip of “Little Dealer Boy” features Nelson — clad in a costume that could’ve been stolen from the nativity scene outside of the nearest church — delivering the song with stony stoicism, occasionally joined on background harmonies by a turtlenecked Colbert. Fourteen months after its release, the song helped Colbert (who recently bid his Comedy Central series and character farewell) win the 2010 Grammy for Best Comedy Album, proof that a holiday buzz goes a long way. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/flashback-watch-willie-nelson-and-stephen-colberts-little-dealer-boy-176450/

There’s already a news report out there of some teenager “locked out of their house”, and she tried to get in by going down the chimney (she got stuck).
Talk about dumming down...

If you haven’t seen it yet, look for the video for Christmas from Haford Hardware.... I don’t think that I should post it here.
It is already known for its cuteness.
It features a song that I have never heard before! Beautiful!
The hardware store AND the song should get some popularity!

The singer is Andrea von Kampen.
“Forever Young” and the way she sings it, evokes nostalgia.....
