Whatever the thing is in that photo it looks kind of like the thing I saw last summer in New Mexico. Here is an enlargement of ozzee's photo (on the left) with an enlargement of the one I saw next to it. (on the right) Notice the similarities? They are both white with what appear to be two large rounded thingies. The one I saw was just hanging motionless in the sky though. How fast do you think that one was moving? Sky sent me both his and your NZ photo Ozzie. I played with the pixels, equalization, read some back ground on the photos. Nothing conclusive. They are (whatever they maybe) either the same or similar objects (or artifacts) in each photo. The same level of atmospheric haze, the pixel levels are different. I know it is not much, but that is all I can discern for now. Each show slightly different angles to the light source (sun). Impossible to know any speed from just one photo against a neutral background too. So yes, they are similar in general appearance. Sorry I cannot gleen much more. Light clear plastic dry cleaning slip overs caught high up in the updrafts at both locations half way around the world? Steve

They do look pretty creepy like that. The thing is I snaped the pics thru my telescope so I would have been able to se if it was a bag or somin like that IMHO. Thanks for that !!
Its like there is 2 bubble things comin out of it... Weird

The thing that I saw was pretty big. I was several miles away from it when I noticed it and I could see that something was there, I just couldn't zoom in close enough to get a better photo. Of course stupid me forgot that I had a telescope in the back of my truck. If I would have just looked at it through the scope I could have known exactly what it was. They do both look very similar to each other though. I wonder what the same thing (or things) is doing on opposite sides of the planet?

He has some pretty good images of the moon taken with (I believe) either a 12 or 16 inch. I wish omf wasnt down, there were others I couldve pointed out also.Ill do some searching and see what I can come up with. I cant wait to see more images and videos you have ! I also cant wait to purchase a larger scope if all goes well financially this summer .

Hi Touched, Thanks for that I will do! Im waiting for the moon to get nice and full and I will try to get some beter pics of it. If I can give you some advice if all goes well enough for you try to get a 14" Or 16" telescope they are not much more money wise, but they sort of crose a threshhold! Im very disapointed in my 12" its almost no beter than my 6". Go figure! But if not 8" is the better one of the smaller telescopes IMHO And get a 12x zoom camcorder
