Wow! I'm always totally convinced that its magic - because I can't imagine manipulating a deck of 50 cards through innumerable shiftings and cuts. I bet he could count cards and win in casinoes.

Superman has started a stir with a declaration in the new issue of "Action Comics" that he intends to renounce his U.S. citizenship because he's tired of his actions being construed as instruments of U.S. policy. The Man of Steel, who emigrated to earth as a child from Krypton and was adopted by the Kents in Smallville, Kan., comes to the conclusion that he's better off serving the world at large after he's accused of causing an international incident by flying to Tehran amid a large protest. Noting the huge police presence and warnings from the army there about harsh repercussions, he wanted the demonstrators to know "that they weren't alone." The nine-page story was written by David S. Politacally correct super heroes. Blah. I liked them better in the old days. Captain America and Wonder Woman wear red, white and blue costumes for a reason, and it's not because they are ashamed of freedom, liberty and justice for all.

'My Weekly Bond' I stumbled onto this You Tube series happily. A must see!!! These are 'short film' essays of the entire James Bond film series. I have to say they are actually rather brilliant and very entertaining. Even very funny at times. Well executed film reviews. Bang On! Along the way, you learn a huge amount of James Bond Movie trivia along the way. For instance, I knew stunt-man Bob Simmons did the original three gun barrel opening sequences, but I did not know when the wide screen aspect ratio came with 'Thunderball', the new wide screen gun barrel sequence is actually the first to feature Sean Connery. The young man doing the commentary may seem at first a little obnoxious, but watch and listen more closely. He is actually quite spot on in his articulate film essays of the entire film series. From his accent (and his teeth), Liverpool? ("guuun fight"?) But I think he does a great job in front of the camera - he is entertaining and doesn't pretend to be more than what he is - 'a fan!' Someone is not necessarily obnoxious if their commentary just also happens to be often 'right spot on' too! The commentary is quite well written. I disagree with some of his favorites and least favorites - but he does state his case well often. In Moonraker, there is even a Warner Bro's Cartoon sequence that supports the video commentary perfectly in one of this You Tube's series funniest moments. The video editing is brisk and fun. Funny commentary lines like "nobody gets in the way of Bond's shagging!!!!" The commentator to me captures the fun and thrills I remember as teenagers - and the still young at heart older among us - about all those discussions we had after the movie. Arguments with your popcorn pals about which is your favorite bond girl and why, which movie, which...etc. ...endless. He also points out some amusing story continuity errors too. I have never seen a more entertaining You tube series actually. They should put this on Cable! But to show just how the 21 (current count?) of Bond films transcend generations - The young commentator's first Bond film he ever saw was 'Moonraker', while my first Bond film I ever saw was 'Goldfinger'. One of my favorite young memories spending time with Dad. I was wanting to share these You Tube videos somewhere, but now that TEOR has a entertainment section, thanks!!!! The rapture in two days? Who cares! ;D Steve (Here are some samples - search you tube for the entire catalog of the Jame Bond cannon if you like.) www.youtube.com/results?search_query=my+weekly+bond+goldfinger&aq=1&oq=my+weekly+Bond%2C+golAbove: The great Maurice Binder directs a model as he shoots the title sequence for "A View To A Kill"...

Those were pretty good. I don't even think I have seen all of the Bond films...or at least I don't remember seeing that many of them. I might have to watch them when I get a chance.

FLORIDA BLESSING
Bless this house, oh Lord, we cry. Please keep it cool in mid-July. Bless the walls where termites dine, While ants and roaches march in time. Bless our yard where spiders pass Fire ant castles in the grass. Bless the garage, a home to please Carpenter beetles, ticks and fleas. Bless the love bugs, two by two, The gnats and mosquitoes that feed on you. Millions of creatures that fly or crawl, In FLORIDA , Lord, you've put them all!! But this is home, and here we'll stay, So thank you Lord, for insect spray.
YOU KNOW YOU ARE IN FLORIDA IN JULY WHEN. . . .
The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
The trees are whistling for the dogs...
The best parking place is determined by shade instead of distance.
Hot water now comes out of both taps.
You can make sun tea instantly.
You learn that a seat belt buckle makes a pretty good branding iron.
The temperature drops below 95 and you feel a little chilly.
You discover that in July it only takes 2 fingers to steer your car.
You discover that you can get sunburned through your car window.
You actually burn your hand opening the car door.
You break into a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m.
Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is, 'What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?'
You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
The potatoes cook underground, so all you have to do is pull one out and add butter, salt and pepper.
Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying boiled eggs.
The cows are giving evaporated milk.
Ah, what a place to call home. .
God Bless The State of FLORIDA !!!

THIS IS A CLASSIC....ENJOY Bob Hope plays the role of Eddie Foy.James Cagney plays the role of George M. Cohan.[/size] click the square with 4 tiny arrows in bottom RIGHT hand corner of video & screen will become bigger.... press ESC button on your keyboard to get out....Uploaded by abfabjurisprudence on Jul 21, 2008 You know what's really stunning about this? Neither of these guys became famous for dancing. Hope was, for a time, America's Comedian. And James Cagney was a great actor, one of the biggest movie stars of his era. But watching this clip, it's easy to believe that they both could have been just as big as song-and-dance men. gjm1953

www.ahajokes.com/alaska_jokes.htmlAuntym, this is in response to your florida blessing post. This must be in southcentral Alaska or Southeastern Alaska or possibly the islands... up here it isn't usually this warm in January... but I digress. We have similar problems up here too... usually they are earlier or later in the year. ***** Living in Paradise (Alaska) Jan. 10 5:00 P.M. It's starting to snow. The first of the season and the first one we've seen in years. The wife and I took our hot buttered rum and sat by the picture window, watching the soft flakes drift down, clinging to the trees and covering the ground. It was beautiful! (Lorelei says: hehehe... they all start out this way...) Jan. 11 We awoke to a lovely blanket of crystal white snow covering the landscape. What a fantastic sight. Every tree and shrub covered with a beautiful white mantle. I shoveled snow for the first time ever and loved it. I did both our driveway and our sidewalk. Later a city snowplow came along and accidentally covered up our driveway with compacted snow from the street. The driver smiled and waved. I waved back and shoveled it again. (Yea... us veteran Alaskans know to wait for the snow plow to get the road FIRST before we clear our driveways... ~smirk~) Jan. 12 It snowed an additional 5 inches last night, and the temperature has dropped to around 11degrees. Several limbs on the trees and shrubs snapped due to the weight of the snow. I shoveled our driveway again. Shortly afterwards, the snowplow came by and did his trick again. Much of the snow is now brownish-gray. Jan. 13 Warmed up enough during the day to create some slush which soon became ice when the temperature dropped again. Bought snow tires for both cars. Fell on my butt in the driveway. $145 to a chiropractor, but nothing was broken. More snow and ice expected. Jan. 14 Still cold. Sold the wife's car and bought a 4x4 in order to get her to work. (lol... yep...) Slid into a guardrail anyway and did a considerable amount of damage to the right rear quarter-panel. Had another 8 inches of the white stuff last night. Both vehicles covered in salt and crud. More shoveling in store for me today. That darn snowplow came by twice today. Jan. 15 -2 degrees outside. More blasted snow. Not a tree or shrub on our property that hasn't been damaged. Power was off most of the night. Tried to keep from freezing to death with candles and a kerosene heater, which tipped over and nearly burned the house down. I managed to put the flames out, but suffered second degree burns on my hands and lost all my eyelashes and eyebrows. Car slid on ice on way to emergency room and was totaled. Jan.16 Darn blasted white snow keeps on coming down. Have to put on all the clothes we own just to get to the mailbox. If I ever catch the jerk that drives the snowplow, I'll chew open his chest and rip out his heart. I think he hides around the corner and waits for me to open our driveway again! Power still off. Toilet froze and part of the roof has started to cave in. Jan.17 Six darn more inches of blasted snow and sleet and ice and God knows what other kind of white crap fell last night. I wounded the snowplow jerk with an ice ax, but he got away. Wife left me. Car won't start. I think I'm going snow blind. I can't move my toes. I haven't seen the sun in weeks. More snow predicted. Wind chill -62 degrees. I'm moving back to Albuquerque.
