I found a report about this on the Sightings Report website. It appears to be some type of underwater ruins or the remains of a construction at Bikar Atoll, which is part of the Marshall Islands in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Bikar Atoll is only about 9 miles long and 5 miles wide and according to Wikipedia is uninhabited and totally pristine. There have been a couple of shipwrecks there and the little island was covered with radioactive fallout following the Castle Bravo nuclear test conducted in 1954 but as far as I can tell there has never been any type of construction or habitation there. I notice that the mysterious construction appears in the shadow of a cloud...could somebody have tampered with the image somehow and added it in? Could it be some top secret military installation or something? Any ideas what this might be?

Hi all! Sky - thanks for posting this mate !! To my untrained eye, looking at your pictures and then google earthing it myself - it looks like a mucky lens kind of thing. It could possibly be that it is an area of the overall photo close to where three different photographs have been stitched together to form the whole photograph. I personally think it is just something naturally occurring with tides etc. However, look at these tracks that seem man-made: ...which are not man-made at all - they're just ridge lines from the tides ;D !! To me, that's what the other bit is like too! Sorry, but that's just what I see. TTFN! Take care, seek peace and SMILE! Charles

People see what they want to see. We already know from earlier posts people can paint in trees on Google Earth. If this is the location of the Able (air burst against naval fleet targets) and Baker (same weapon at same targets but underwater - the underwater blast was many times more effective) atomic tests 1946 at Bikini atoll, there should be clearly seen in the clear water lagoon many dozens of large sunken historically famous old warships. If it is the Castle Bravo Hydrogen Bomb test area, (which was scary because in testing the weapon it's yield was much more bigger than anticipated. There was a greater radiation hazard in places not expected to be effected because it was thought the blast would be smaller. The crew of one Japanese fishing boat was especially effected. It is very possible the remains of the sandy island (most of it disappeared in the blast)was dredged up and dumped in the ocean to reduce radiation exposure. Much of the debris was buried by radio controlled bull dossers into a large pit and a huge concrete dome was constructed over it it it cools down. Why would anyone wish to build something secret there is totally stupid. And for smarter aliens...even more stupid. A whole new religion starting here all due to a lousy cut and paste Google image. Get real! The more silly these stories become, the more it makes us all look like debunkers. Check the history of these tests. But ah no!...That is what the aliens would want us to do! Steve

The Castle Bravo bomb test was near Bikar Atoll but still quite a ways away. The blast didn't effect it but some fallout did reach it because the wind carried it in that direction. I'm not sure how far away it was but it was far enough that they did not think any fallout would reach it.
According to what I read about Bikar Atoll it is supposed to still be in pristine unisturbed condition, except for a small Japanese fishing boat that sank just inside the reef. There is also a report that a couple of other shipwrecks occurred there and some men were marrooned on the island for a brief period of time but there haven't been any reports of any building or construction going on there.
I don't know what the thing is but it definitely doesn't look like a natural part of the island to me. It also doesn't really look like a natural part of the photograph. Notice how it only appears within the shadow that supposedly is being cast by a cloud. I'm guessing it was something added in later on and the cloud was used to help conceal it...or maybe it is like Charles suggested and is a smudge on the photo or something, or a byproduct of where the photos were joined together. There are a lot of possible explanations.

my father was in the marshal islands in a group discussion with the Japanese over territory issues he recalled heat, the smell of death, bodies in the drinking water and lack of sleep but no odd constructions beyond pill boxes and an air field.

I think those lines on the photo are just a defect on the film...possibly where several pieces were spliced together like Charles suggested. The fact that they only appear in what looks like a shadow area makes me suspicious also. Might just be a smudge on the photo or something.
