Myself, and all 3 of my children have had strong urges to be vegetarian. I don't know of anyone in our family who is vegetarian, or even talks about it.

I don't recall ever reading any reports of aliens telling people to be vegetarians. I don't think that aliens would care what type of food people eat since both meat and vegetables are all derived from living organisms. People have to eat something to survive.

Protein seems to be the lifeblood of most life. Whether synthesized in some tube or in a fat juicy T-bone. I just feel better physically without the red meat...personally. I'm not likely to give up my fish or chicken..

I think I must be referring to something that new-agers were saying.
Was I also thinking that "new-agers" were involved with aliens?

I have protein powder (vanila and choc) and we like our smoothies ;D. I love a juicy steak off my own grill, but my favorite thing to grill is fish! No smelly kitchen afterwards either . Chicken? Not so much. I think I've seen it raw and on the bone too many times; it looks so slimy/greasy to me. The big, boneless portions of chicken are too thick, and it's like, "what has this chick been eating?" Lol. Both my daughters and I have had weird dreams about cows . I can't remember about my son. I think I have told before that after killing a deer my son does a minor ritual of thanksgiving. I have an uncle who has a "cow farm" here in Mo. He used to be strictly veggie farmer and had 3 successful farms in the US. He was one of those people who drove a farm equipment up to Washington DC in the height of farmers troubles. The cow farm is fairly recent. I think my issue with meat probably started when I was pregnant and found I couldn't stand the smell .
