The sky was clear here last night - late into evening. Supposedly thunderstorms tomorrow.
Wonder if Cliff saw anything? (Anything good 😊).

I have a personal worst history with meteor showers. I have lay in damp fields, sat on the top of our small moutain, I was my friend's back yard - we had a comforter and our wine and were ready when her dog snuck off and got hit by a car at midnight (hit and run). She took it to an emergency vet and I went into the house to be there in case her young kids woke up and freaked out. I have seen meteorites randomly when driving. I did go see the dead of winter ones about 15 years ago on a beach with other people, all of us risking being towed. There were a few fire balls that drew oohs and aahhhs. But last night it was snugly blanketed with clouds. So it goes.

Cliff . I told myself last night: If cliff does not come on to announce This I'm going to . It marks the night of my missing time and green beam ufo encounter. I will be out there. Are we still going to be cloudy this weekend? I ween lots of shooting stars in the East two nights ago. I miss you Lois. I hope all is well your way. I talked with Ray (the one who was fishing with me who also saw that thing zip all over the sky) a while back and he verified the date as Aug. 12th, 2007. We know this because my grand daughter ( his daughter) was born that year . I couldn't remember for the life of me what year it was until we talked and figured it out. Glad that you were able to talk about this and figure out the date!

Quote"The Perseid meteor shower is always good, but this year it is extra-good. The Moon will be New during the shower's peak, providing a dark backdrop for as many as 100 meteors per hour. The best time to look is during the dark hours before sunrise on Sunday, August 12th, and again on Monday, August 13th. At those times, the shower's radiant will be high in the sky, spewing meteors in all directions:" spaceweather.com/ I saw a nice one last night.....Through Cassiopeia, then Ursa Minor, then it broke up in Ursa Major. Oh thank you Cliff. I wondered about the moon. I'm ready but I just hope no rain. I wait for this year after year. You know that. I will let you know if I get lucky enough to see anything.

And now, you have good memories?!! ___________________
Was “whomevers” trying to disguise their arrival(s) through a meteor shower?
