plutronus,
quite disturbing visions you have there my friend...
as for that one you aren't sure what it means, I wonder have you read the Emerald Tablets written by Thoth???
They speak of a need to access the well hidden craft beneath the pyramids that was left here for when the reptillian race comes to attack us again.
According to his writings, this craft is one of the few ways we can defeat them if/when this happens.
Just wondering if you know of these and have read them, you may want to take a look if you haven't.
If nothing else it's an impressively interesting bit of reading. Hi,
It seems that you and I have read different information, about the Emerald Tablet. I'd like to see the version that you cite, I think it might be Doreal's version, but I'm sure. There have been a couple of versions that aren't given much credence due to their authorship and lack of historical existence.
However, my first awareness of the Emerald-Tablet was via a conversation I had with my Mother, I think, sometime around 1957?, when she told me about Hermes Trimegistus, a latter incarnation of Thoth according to R+C doctrine [1]. While Thoth, lived in a considerably earlier period, He was a Sirius B Dragon...a Reptilian White-Brotherhood Mystic. Thoth was also a member of the Human creator race that colonized Earth.
There was a recent author, Doreal which I mentioned earlier who purportedly attained additional tablets sometime around 1927?, which were supposed to be a set of 12 tablets, all supposedly Emerald-Tablets. This claim was deemed a hoax by scholars. Yep, there were hoaxsters even in the days before the InterNet. [5]
As for the authentic ancient 'tablet' itself, as I understand things, there was only one Emerald Tablet, which was comprised of a simple paragraph revealing an encoded Mystical message. It is attributed to having been written by Hermes Trismegistus, the historical 'frater' of medicine. The "Jabirian corpus" contains the oldest documentable source for the Emerald Tablet of Hermes Trismegistus, [2] while there are several traditions that make further claims regarding its history, mostly Hermetic traditions...Rosicrucian and Masonic White Brotherhoods.
The "Emerald Tablet", was also known as "Smaragdine Table", "Tabula Smaragdina", or "The Secret of Hermes". It is a text purporting to reveal the secret of the primordial substance and its transmutations. It is a Mystical text comprised of one short paragraph.[3]
One last thing, while it is a mute point I'd like to clarify, that for me, 'dreams' are not prophetic, while my visions, always portend things of time, although a few have not always been cast in the future. All of them have been true...I don't know why I have this ability...why can't I win the lottery? Something useful..?
I have a buddy, he was born rich. An Aquarian with Sun-Venus in the 1st house, very charming, Sun/Venus Trining his Mercury...people love to chat with him and he's a playboy. He does absolutely nothing of Human value. He splashes ca$h around for the sole purpose of impressing the girls...to sleep with them. He wanders out of bed around 10ish every day, walks his dog, goes sailing, buys a salmon salad or a burrito, for lunch. He has a street woman & her kids living in his Topanga Canyon $5500/mo apartment on the top of the canyon with him, pays all of their cell-phone bills and what-ever, and hangs out with me on occasion. He picks up his mail, at a PO Box every two weeks, to get his check, from the family trust. He inherited his money. He's an older guy, 50s. He gets $15,000 bi-weekly. $360k per year. Does nothing with it but play. I've been telling him for years that he should invest it in something to make some additional ca$h, but he always says, 'what for?', and I says, 'cause ya never know what's gonna happen in life, just won't hurt ya to have an independent source of income.'
I've known this guy for 15 years. One day, as I'm driving on the Ventura Freeway heading for work, I see my buddy in little vision. He's standing, attired all in white, with a tall paper chef's hat on his head, standing adjacent to a deep-fat french-fry basket cooker full of hot steaming oil. He's got a real nasty grimace on his face. In his right hand he is flipping a dozen hamburgers on a big flat grill. The vision fades.
I call him up and tell him my vision. He laughs, 'hah hah hah'. For two years I told him to start saving money, stop playing, stop buying all the expensive toys, turn off the cell-phone payments for 14 yros, move into a cheaper residence, etc. Save money. That was four years ago. Without going into all the gory details, he's been in court, trying recover his lost inheritance money. The checks have stopped. Currently he's got around 1 year worth of free living in the bank, after-which he has ZERO MONEY...has to go to work. And he owes the lawyers who lost the case around $400k. He did not have enough money to make rent last month.
So now he's living in a toy-house he constructed, while he was fighting in court to re-acquire his inheritance, believing that he'd win the case. He was spending his reserve money. His toy-house is mounted on the back of a brand new $75,000 industrial, four-wheel-drive flatbed truck he bought for the purpose. Its a solar powered 'Cinderella' house. He spent around $200,000 constructing it, so that he could impress the girls at music festivals he attends for fun. But now, he can't afford to fill the tank, which costs $400, just to be able to drive around town, (compared to my car which costs around $50), and the yearly Gvrnmnt DMV registration fee is around $5k + insurance which is also a whopper because of the truck. And he is unemployable, because, he did not attend college, and he doesn't know how to do anything either. He's an older man...
So why can't I win the lottery? Do something useful. Nobody listens to me, not even my friends. I got lots of stories where I've warned friends about various things in their lives...nobody listens.
I pray, that my End-Times visions don't resolve. Nothing would please me more, than, say, 15 years from now, friends chide me about having been wrong. I'd swallow it with a smile....really.

I tracked down various translations of the Emerald-Tablet for your reading pleasure:
Translations
From Madame Blavatsky
2) What is below is like that which is above, and what is above is similar to that which is below to accomplish the wonders of the one thing. 3) As all things were produced by the mediation of one being, so all things were produced from this one by adaption. 4) Its father is the sun, its mother the moon. 6a) It is the cause of all perfection throughout the whole earth. 7) Its power is perfect if it is changed into earth. 7a) Separate the earth from the fire, the subtile from the gross, acting prudently and with judgement. 8 ) Ascend with the greatest sagacity from earth to heaven, and unite together the power of things inferior and superior; 9) thus you will possess the light of the whole world, and all obscurity will fly away from you. 10) This thing has more fortitude than fortitude itself, because it will overcome every subtile thing and penetrate every solid thing. 11a) By it the world was formed. [Blavatsky 1972: 507.]
Twelfth Century Latin
0) When I entered into the cave, I received the tablet zaradi, which was inscribed, from between the hands of Hermes, in which I discovered these words: 1) True, without falsehood, certain, most certain. 2) What is above is like what is below, and what is below is like that which is above. To make the miracle of the one thing. 3) And as all things were made from contemplation of one, so all things were born from one adaptation. 4) Its father is the Sun, its mother is the Moon. 5) The wind carried it in its womb, the earth breast fed it. 6) It is the father of all ‘works of wonder' (Telesmi) in the world. 6a) Its power is complete (integra). 7) If cast to (turned towards- versa fuerit) earth, 7a) it will separate earth from fire, the subtile from the gross. 8) With great capacity it ascends from earth to heaven. Again it descends to earth, and takes back the power of the above and the below. 9) Thus you will receive the glory of the distinctiveness of the world. All obscurity will flee from you. 10) This is the whole most strong strength of all strength, for it overcomes all subtle things, and penetrates all solid things. 11a) Thus was the world created. 12) From this comes marvelous adaptions of which this is the proceedure. 13) Therefore I am called Hermes, because I have three parts of the wisdom of the whole world. 14) And complete is what I had to say about the work of the Sun, from the book of Galieni Alfachimi. [From Latin in Steele and Singer 1928: 492.]
Translation from Aurelium Occultae Philosophorum..Georgio Beato
1) This is true and remote from all cover of falsehood 2) Whatever is below is similar to that which is above. Through this the marvels of the work of one thing are procured and perfected. 3) Also, as all things are made from one, by the condsideration of one, so all things were made from this one, by conjunction. 4) The father of it is the sun, the mother the moon. 5) The wind bore it in the womb. Its nurse is the earth, the mother of all perfection. 6a)Its power is perfected. 7) If it is turned into earth, 7a) separate the earth from the fire, the subtle and thin from the crude and course, prudently, with modesty and wisdom. 8) This ascends from the earth into the sky and again descends from the sky to the earth, and receives the power and efficacy of things above and of things below. 9) By this means you will acquire the glory of the whole world, and so you will drive away all shadows and blindness. 10) For this by its fortitude snatches the palm from all other fortitude and power. For it is able to penetrate and subdue everything subtle and everything crude and hard. 11a) By this means the world was founded 12) and hence the marvelous cojunctions of it and admirable effects, since this is the way by which these marvels may be brought about. 13) And because of this they have called me Hermes Tristmegistus since I have the three parts of the wisdom and Philsosphy of the whole universe. 14) My speech is finished which i have spoken concerning the solar work [Davis 1926: 874.]
Translation of Issac Newton c. 1680.
1) Tis true without lying, certain & most true. 2) That wch is below is like that wch is above & that wch is above is like yt wch is below to do ye miracles of one only thing. 3) And as all things have been & arose from one by ye mediation of one: so all things have their birth from this one thing by adaptation. 4) The Sun is its father, the moon its mother, 5) the wind hath carried it in its belly, the earth its nourse. 6) The father of all perfection in ye whole world is here. 7) Its force or power is entire if it be converted into earth. 7a) Seperate thou ye earth from ye fire, ye subtile from the gross sweetly wth great indoustry. 8) It ascends from ye earth to ye heaven & again it desends to ye earth and receives ye force of things superior & inferior. 9) By this means you shall have ye glory of ye whole world & thereby all obscurity shall fly from you. 10) Its force is above all force. ffor it vanquishes every subtile thing & penetrates every solid thing. 11a) So was ye world created. 12) From this are & do come admirable adaptaions whereof ye means (Or process) is here in this. 13) Hence I am called Hermes Trismegist, having the three parts of ye philosophy of ye whole world. 14) That wch I have said of ye operation of ye Sun is accomplished & ended. [Dobbs 1988: 183-4.]
Translation from Kriegsmann (?) alledgedly from the Phoenician
1) I speak truly, not falsely, certainly and most truly 2) These things below with those above and those with these join forces again so that they produce a single thing the most wonderful of all. 3)And as the whole universe was brought forth from one by the word of one GOD, so also all things are regenerated perpetually from this one according to the disposition of Nature. 4) It has the Sun for father and the Moon for mother: 5) it is carried by the air as if in a womb, it is nursed by the earth. 6) It is the cause, this, of all perfection of all things throughout the universe. 6a) This will attain the highest perfection of powers 7) if it shall be reduced into earth 7a) Distribute here the earth and there the fire, thin out the density of this the suavest (suavissima) thing of all. 8)Ascend with the greatest sagacity of genius from the earth into the sky, and thence descend again to the earth, and recognise that the forces of things above and of things below are one, 9) so as to posses the glory of the whole world- and beyond this man of abject fate may have nothing further. 10)This thing itself presently comes forth stronger by reasons of this fortitude: it subdues all bodies surely, whether tenuous or solid, by penetrating them. 11a) And so everything whatsoever that the world contains was created. 12) Hence admirable works are accomplished which are instituted (carried out- instituuntur) according to the same mode. 13) To me therefor the name of Hermes Trismegistus has been awarded because I am discovered as the Teacher of the three parts of the wisdom of the world. 14) These then are the considerations which I have concluded ought to be written down concerning the readiest operations of the Chymic art. [Davis 1926: 875 slightly modified.]
From Sigismund Bacstrom (allegedly translated from Chaldean).
0) The Secret Works of CHIRAM ONE in essence, but three in aspect. 1) It is true, no lie, certain and to be depended upon, 2) the superior agrees with the inferior, and the inferior agrees with the superior, to effect that one truly wonderful work. 3) As all things owe their existence to the will of the only one, so all things owe their origin to the one only thing, the most hidden by the arrangement of the only God. 4) The father of that one only thing is the sun its mother is the moon, 5) the wind carries it in its belly; but its nourse is a spirituous earth. 6) That one only thing is the father of all things in the Universe. 6a) Its power is perfect, 7) after it has been united with a spirituous earth. 7a) Separate that spirituous earth from the dense or crude by means of a gentle heat, with much attention. 8) In great measure it ascends from the earth up to heaven, and descends again, newborn, on the earth, and the superior and the inferior are increased in power. 9) By this wilt thou partake of the honours of the whole world. And Darkness will fly from thee. 10) This is the strength of all powers. With this thou wilt be able to overcome all things and transmute all what is fine and what is coarse. 11a) In this manner the world was created; 12) the arrangements to follow this road are hidden. 13) For this reason I am called Chiram Telat Mechasot, one in essence, but three in aspect. In this trinity is hidden the wisdom of the whole world. 14) It is ended now, what I have said concerning the effects of the sun. Finish of the Tabula Smaragdina. [See Hall 1977: CLVIII,]
From: Jabir ibn Hayyan
0) Balinas mentions the engraving on the table in the hand of Hermes, which says: 1) Truth! Certainty! That in which there is no doubt! 2) That which is above is from that which is below, and that which is below is from that which is above, working the miracles of one. 3) As all things were from one. 4) Its father is the Sun and its mother the Moon. 5) The Earth carried it in her belly, and the Wind nourished it in her belly, 7) as Earth which shall become Fire. 7a) Feed the Earth from that which is subtle, with the greatest power. 8) It ascends from the earth to the heaven and becomes ruler over that which is above and that which is below. 14) And I have already explained the meaning of the whole of this in two of these books of mine. [Holmyard 1923: 562.]
Another Arabic Version (from the German of Ruska, translated by ‘Anonymous').
0) Here is that which the priest Sagijus of Nabulus has dictated concerning the entrance of Balinas into the hidden chamber... After my entrance into the chamber, where the talisman was set up, I came up to an old man sitting on a golden throne, who was holding an emerald table in one hand. And behold the following - in Syriac, the primordial language- was written thereon:
1) Here (is) a true explanation, concerning which there can be no doubt. 2) It attests: The above from the below, and the below from the above -the work of the miracle of the One. 3) And things have been from this primal substance through a single act. How wonderful is this work! It is the main (principle) of the world and is its maintainer. 4) Its father is the sun and its mother the moon; the 5) wind has borne it in its body, and the earth has nourished it. 6) the father of talismen and the protector of miracles 6a) whose powers are perfect, and whose lights are confirmed (?), 7) a fire that becomes earth. 7a) Separate the earth from the fire, so you will attain the subtle as more inherent than the gross, with care and sagacity. 8) It rises from earth to heaven, so as to draw the lights of the heights to itself, and descends to the earth; thus within it are the forces of the above and the below; 9) because the light of lights within it, thus does the darkness flee before it. 10) The force of forces, which overcomes every subtle thing and penetrates into everything gross. 11) The structure of the microcosm is in accordance with the structure of the macrocosm. 12) And accordingly proceed the knowledgeable. 13) And to this aspired Hermes, who was threefold graced with wisdom. 14) And this is his last book, which he concealed in the chamber. [Anon 1985: 24-5]
From Fulcanelli (translated from the French by Sieveking)
1) This is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth:- 2) As below, so above; and as above so below. With this knowledge alone you may work miracles. 3) And since all things exist in and eminate from the ONE Who is the ultimate Cause, so all things are born after their kind from this ONE. 4) The Sun is the father, the Moon the mother; 5) the wind carried it in his belly. Earth is its nurse and its guardian. 6) It is the Father of all things, 6a) the eternal Will is contained in it. 7) Here, on earth, its strength, its power remain one and undivded. 7a) Earth must be separated from fire, the subtle from the dense, gently with unremitting care. 8) It arises from the earth and descends from heaven; it gathers to itself the strength of things above and things below. 9) By means of this one thing all the glory of the world shall be yours and all obscurity flee from you. 10) It is power, strong with the strength of all power, for it will penetrate all mysteries and dispel all igannance. 11a) By it the world was created. 12) From it are born manifold wonders, the means to achieving which are here given 13) It is for this reason that I am called Hermes Trismegistus; for I possess the three essentials of the philosophy of the universe. 14) This is is the sum total of the work of the Sun. [Sadoul 1972: 25-6.]
From Fulcanelli, new translation
1) It is true without untruth, certain and most true: 2) that which is below is like that which is on high, and that which is on high is like that which is below; by these things are made the miracles of one thing. 3) And as all things are, and come from One, by the mediation of One, So all things are born from this unique thing by adaption. 4) The Sun is the father and the Moon the mother. 5) The wind carries it in its stomach. The earth is its nourisher and its receptacle. 6 The Father of all the Theleme of the universal world is here. 6a) Its force, or power, remains entire, 7) if it is converted into earth. 7a) You separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, gently with great industry. 8) It climbs from the earth and descends from the sky, and receives the force of things superior and things inferior. 9) You will have by this way, the glory of the world and all obscurity will flee from you. 10) It is the power strong with all power, for it will defeat every subtle thing and penetrate every solid thing 11a) In this way the world was created. 12) From it are born wonderful adaptations, of which the way here is given. 13) That is why I have been called Hermes Tristmegistus, having the three parts of the universal philosophy. 14) This, that I have called the solar Work, is complete. [Translated from Fulcanelli 1964: 312.]
From Idres Shah
1) The truth, certainty, truest, without untruth. 2 )What is above is like what is below. What is below is like what is above. The miracle of unity is to be attained. 3) Everything is formed from the contemplation of unity, and all things come about from unity, by means of adaptation. 4) Its parents are the Sun and Moon. 5) It was borne by the wind and nurtured by the Earth. 6) Every wonder is from it 6a) and its power is complete. 7) Throw it upon earth, 7a) and earth will separate from fire. The impalbable separated from the palpable. 8) Through wisdom it rises slowly from the world to heaven. Then it descends to the world combining the power of the upper and the lower. 9 )Thus you will have the illumination of all the world, and darkness will disappear. 10) This is the power of all strength- it overcomes that which is delicate and penetrates through solids. 11a) This was the means of the creation of the world. 12) And in the future wonderful developements will be made, and this is the way. 13) I am Hermes the Threefold Sage, so named because I hold the three elements of all wisdom. 14) And thus ends the revelation of the work of the Sun. (Shah 1964: 198).
Hypothetical Chinese Original
1) True, true, with no room for doubt, certain, worthy of all trust. 2) See, the highest comes from the lowest, and the lowest from the highest; indeed a marvelous work of the tao. 3) See how all things originated from It by a single process. 4) The father of it (the elixir) is the sun (Yang), its mother the moon (Yin). 5) The wind bore it in its belly, and the earth nourished it. 6 )This is the father of wondrous works (changes and transformations), the guardian of mysteries, 6a) perfect in its powers, the animator of lights. 7) This fire will be poured upon the earth... 7a) So separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, acting prudently and with art. 8) It ascends from the earth to the heavens (and orders the lights above), then descends again to the earth; and in it is the power of the highest and the lowest. 9) Thus when you have the light of lights darkness will flee away from you. 10) With this power of powers (the elixir) you shall be able to get the mastery of every subtle thing, and be able to penetrate everything that is gross. 11a) In this way was the great world itself formed. 12) Hence thus and thus marvellous operations will be acheived. [Slightly altered from Needham 1980: 371.]

The Heavens Gate tragedy was just about 20 miles from me..so sad for those kids that some fool hoaxed a photo to keep them hooked..and good old Art Bell was right there showing off those photos and singing the praises of the guy who did it. Probably a good thing he retired shortly after. I hope for them...that the afterlife is much more exciting than a ride on a space ship

It was very sad Jo. I hope when these next few comets come around that people will see them for the beauty that they are. Hale - Bopp was the best one I had ever seen and I only hope ISON is that good or better. This guy here is well liked among the astronomical community. He is an amateur astronomer who writes books and does a lot of research on comets. His article here sheds some light about what has been associated with them.: cometography.com/hysteria.html

I just ran into this article and thought it interesting. During Obama's state of the union speech..there was a cabinet member missing..the designated survivor. The man picked to sit with the launch codes and a security detail..in case. The practice dates back to the 50's when we were fang to fang with Russia. I had no idea they were doing this. news.yahoo.com/why-designated-survivor-needed-obama-112209834.html

Plutronus, I have a book with all of these you cite in it actually, ("The Emerald Tablet Of Hermes and The Kybalion", Dr. Jane Ma'ati Smith C.Hyp. Msc.D.), however I thank you for your time and effort. I was referring to the tablet(s) that speak of the ship, among many other things, generally the same as the text translated from other sources. I do not recall where I found this information, the tablets so I can not cite the work. I just remember reading about the ship and it stuck in my mind, that's all.
Cliff, I agree the comets in all their glory and beauty should simply be observed and enjoyed!

Benjamin Franklin was a Quaker but Quakers come in different grades. Philidelphia was a Quaker run city but it also faced hostile indians and needed to buy cannons to defend the city. HOw can Quakers spend money on cannons? It was a problem for them as they were supposed to support brotherly love. They appropriated money for Fire Engines as cannon are engines of fire. Problem solved. During an attack by a British ship on an American ship with Quakers on board during the Revolutionary War some of the quakers helped man the guns while others stayed safely below deck. the British ship was driven off and the Quakers who manned the guns went below and beat up the Quakers who hid during the battle. brotherly love in action.

In 1811 a slave revolt hit the New Orleans area and an army of slaves marched on the city and by pure luck was defeated outside the city. An American warship happened to be in the harbor and helped supply arms and men to defend the city. Alarmed at this and the nearby example of Haiti where the slaves rebelled and killed every white person on the island New Orleans formed a regular militia for defense. IN the war of 1812 Gen Jackson defeated a British army that included a black battalion that was supposed to raise rebellion in the American south driving out the Americans. The British left at the end of the war but left a black garrisoned fort at Prospect Bluff 60 miles from the American border. This fort served as a magnet for runaway slaves and Jackson considered it a threat to the peace in the US. jackson attacked and destroyed this fort with heavy loss of life when the forts magazine exploded during the battle. Spanish Florida had attracted slaves and Indians who went there for shelter if they promised to fight America in the event of war. Jackson raided across the border and by 1818 had wiped out or captured escaped slave and indian groups.potentially hostile to the US. He succeeded in taking Pensacola and held it. president Monroe declared that the Spanish occupation of Florida was over and Spain finally agreed on condition that we recognize Spanish claims to Texas, Florida became US property and Jackson became president at age 70 serving for 8 yrs

The girl with ex ray eyes..
Article: Natasha Demkina: The Girl with Very Normal Eyes Andrew A. SkolnickDate: 28 January 2005 Time: 02:00 AM ET inShare ONE hundred and ten years ago, German physicist Wilhelm Roentgen announced his discovery of an invisible form of radiation that could make photographs of bones and organs inside a living human body. At first, many scientists called the discovery of "X-rays" a hoax, but when the skeptics put Roentgen's claims to the test, they quickly were convinced about one of the greatest discoveries in science and medicine. Indeed, just six years after his discovery, Roentgen was awarded the first Nobel Prize in physics.
Now comes a teenage girl from Saransk, Russia, who claims to have X-ray-like vision, which lets her see inside of human bodies, to make diagnoses that often are more accurate than those of doctors. First widely hailed in Russia as "the girl with X-ray eyes," 17-year-old Natasha Demkina has a growing following of patients, doctors, journalists, and others who are convinced her powers are real.
In March 2004, the producer of a Discovery Channel documentary on Natasha asked the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP) and the affiliated Commission for Scientific Medicine and Mental Health (CSMMH) to scientifically test the young woman's claims. In response, CSICOP research fellows Ray Hyman, Ph.D. and Richard Wiseman, Ph.D., and I designed a preliminary test for judging whether her abilities warranted further, study. After Natasha, her mother, her agent, and the producer agreed to the test rules, we all flew to New York for filming the test on the City College of New York campus.
Dr. Hyman, professor emeritus of psychology at the University of Oregon, in Eugene, and Dr. Wiseman, professor of psychology at the University of Hertfordshire, in the United Kingdom, have extensive experience in testing people who claim paranormal powers. I served more than nine years as an associate editor and investigative reporter for the Journal of the American Medical Association.
Based on our preliminary research, we suspected Natasha may be using a remarkably simple but convincing technique called "cold reading," which is commonly used by psychics, astrologers, and other fortune tellers. It works especially well with people who are eager to believe the reader andthereforeinclined to interpret misses as hits. Typically, the psychic offers a smorgasboard of statements while looking for any that are confirmed or get a reaction. In most cases, the client willingly twists what was said to fit his or her experiences -- "a male relative with a name like James or John" is interpreted asmeaning "Aunt Jane who passed away last year."
Similarly, Natasha scans her patients from head to toe and describes a long list of abnormalities she says she sees. When she gave me a reading, preciously few organs passed the inspection:. My neck vertebrae were too tight, too close. The bronchial tubes of my lungs had phlegm. The muscle on the left side of my heart is a bit weak and the valve closes late . The mucosa of my stomach is abnormal. A segment of my liver was enlarged and I was suffering poor bile circulation. The head of my pancreas is increased and abnormally dark (although not seriously). My duodenum has a little scar. My prostate gland has a nodule and is inflamed. My right kidney has "sand," while my left kidney's urethra is enlarged. In other words, I should forget about ever again signing an organ donor card
Neither my physician nor I are aware of any of these problems. Nevertheless, Natasaha and her supporters claim she sees what doctors and their tests often miss. The only way I could prove her wrong would be to submit to an autopsy -- which I'm not quite ready to do.
So we designed a simple test that would eliminate the possibility of using cold reading to fish for correct information and to prevent Natasha from making diagnoses that could not be disproved without an autopsy. We recruited six volunteers, who each had adifferent medical condition visible on X-rays, plus a "normal" subject who had none of the six target conditions. Natasha was handed six test cards, each with a description of a target medical condition, in English and Russian. We also provided her with anatomical drawings to make sure she understood exactly what to look for and where to look.
The target conditions were: a removed appendix, a removed lower section of the esophagus, metal staples left in the chest after surgery; an artificial hip joint; a surgically removed upper section of the left lung; and a metal plate covering a removed section of the skull. (See:http://www.csmmh.org/demkina )
Natasha claims she can see abnormalities down to the cellular level and her mother says her readings are 100 percent accurate. So the test -- which required her to match at least five of the target medical conditions to the correct subjects -- should have been a breeze. She didn't have to scan their entire bodies for unknown conditions. She was told exactly what to look for and exactly where to look. Yet, it took her more than fours to complete the test and she only matched four of the conditions correctly -- a score that everyone prior to the test had agreed upon would not justify further testing.
Natasha's most dramatic misdiagnosis was her failure to see a large metal plate covering a missing section of skull in a man who had a large brain tumor removed. Instead, sheindicatedthat she "saw"ametal plate and missing skull section in a man who had a removed appendix but normal skull.
The Discovery Channel program, The Girl with X-ray Eyes, has been broadcast in Europe and Asia, but not yet in the United States. I hope it will be broadcast here as well.As a well-knowntelevision doctor in the England should have learned, after being frightened by Natasha's reading into having unnecessary invasive medical testing, gettingan unfavorable horoscope from your astrologer is one thing, but getting 'medical readings' from a psychic may prove hazardous to your health."

I have always been interesting the Boer War as it has some unique traits. The boers or Dutch farmers often went to war dressed in their Sunday best clothes draped with ammo bandoliers. A Bible and a rifle completed the outfit. Deadly in battle they still respected the lives of the British soldiers. The Boers had to learn war by experience. Their life on the veld made them good horsemen and good riders of horses. They knew the country as it was their home. Previous to the battle of Modder River they had usuall held the crest of hill tops and the British artillary would pound them hard. Shooting down the bullets would hit the ground if they missed the target. Once at the base of the hill the Boers held the British were usually sheltered by the terrain and then could use the bayonet to chase off the Boers. At Modder River the Boes under Piet Cronje changed the game plan. The British over all commander Gen Redvers Buller sent Lord Methuen to the relief of Kimberley besieged by Bores from the Orange Free State and the Transvaal., Cronje did not place his men on the Kopjes top but rather at the base of hill along the river. armed with 6 guns and a quick firing Pom Pom or small gun he had several positions prepared for each so that the guns could fire and then move avoiding counter battery fire. The veld was open and flat. The Boers place white painted rocks and shinny biscuit tins out in front of their positions to serve as range indicators. After this battle the British troops would say "avoid areas with white rocks" Postioned along the river the Boer rifle fire would sweep the ground instead of plunging into it.. the British following tradition shelled the top of the hill but a short round landing at the base of the hill among the hidden Boer trenches and threw up fresh red dirt causing one artillary man to say there were trenches there but he was ignored. the British infantry advanced and at 1,000 yards the Boers opened fire. Forcing the British to the ground. Pinned down some of the British troops slept the rest of the day. Those wearing kilts laying in the hot sun badly sun burned the back their knees and were later unable to march again. British cavalry probed the flanks of the Boers but were shelled by their own guns. This flanking move however convinced the Boers to pull out. the Boers suffered 80 killed and the British suffered 70 killed and 413 wounded. the British during the Boer war captured the Boer farm families and moved them into internment camps where disease and poor food killed many of the women and children. It was a scandal at the time. They also set up out post lines of small forts to corral the Boer commandos into a small area I recall a photo of the time showing group of British officers having dinner in a Boer farm house and on a corner of the table next to a sword was a pile of dead rats apparently killed while they ate. Africa was nobodies friend

"Such subtle convenants shall be make till peace its self is war in masquerade." Reading John tolands book on the life of uncle Adi I was strick by his account of the 1936 Nazi Olympics and how it differed from a Ballantine Books account of the same thing. Specificatlly in tolands book on the opening day parade. Passing uncle Adi the Austrian team gave a Nazi salute and the Bulgaians goose stepped. He then states that the French gave the Olympic salute and the English gave mearly an eyes right The amercian team also giving an eyes right. How ever the Ballantine book states that the French team gave a Nazi salute as they favored uncle Adi much to the delight ot the crowd and the English team also gave what was taken to be a Nazi salute by the crowd. the two versions are obviously much different. the English govt later stated it was not a Nazi salute. Adolf has been accused of snubbing Jessi Owens when he won how ever Jessi Owens himself stated that was not true Adolf stood and waved as Owens passed him. Germany swept the Olympics that year taking more gold, silver and bronze medals than any other country. its interesting how history changes over time like that to fit the political climate even in the US now

The 1936 the Nazis had not yet started their massive murder campaign. People at that time were looking at Germany as a great example of what socialism could accomplish and Hitler was practically a hero to everybody. It wasn't until later on that the truth finally began coming out.
You are right about history changing though. It does change to fit whatever the current views of the people teaching it happen to be. I like to refer to it as "popular history" because what is taught is what the majority of the people want to believe is true rather than what really is true.

The same fellow who wrote the Rise and Fall of the third Reish also wrote the Rise and Fall of the Third Republic about France. France at this time was very Chaotic in its govt with alliances forming and splitting and govts falling and reforming almost monthly. The govt of France wanted war with Hitler when WWII started there was no room for doubt on that issue. During the Olympics great effort was made to hide the anti Jewish aspects of Hitler as he allowed Jews to represent Germany in the games among other things. Our people were not allowed to view Leni Rafenstahls film of the 1936 Olympics for decades some people in the world are still not allowed to see it. The most hated film in the world must be "Victory of Faith" also by Leni Rafenstahl as great effort has been made to totally destroy every single copy of it. John Tolands book totally ignores it while talking about "Triumph of the Will" also by Leni Rafenstahl. My son in high school mentioned he had seen the film and his teacher called him a liar saying it never existed. I have seen the film and it is what it is a Nazi propaganda film. What ever is in it that everyone seems to want to hide I cant tell. It shows Rohm the gay head of the SA but that is about the only format difference with it and Triumph of the Will. the fillm was thought to be totally destroyed but one copy survived to be copied. Germany is trying to get it banned here. Why? That is the question.

During the Boer War the British were advancing on the Boers at the Tugela River in northern Natal. the Bores numbering 8,000 men under Gen Botha held a line of hills the British under Gen Redvers Buller numbered 20,000. the British attacked a hill called Spion Kop in a night move they climbed the hill and a fog prevented them from realizing they had stopped short of the real top of the hill which was still held by the Boers The infantry went to sleep while the engineers dug a small shallow trench that became known as "Murderous Acre" No attempt was made to locate the Boer positions With the dawn the fighting started with the Boers holding the real crest and surrounding higher hills. the British were equipt with the Lee Metford rifle a ten shot bolt action. Most of the Boers had Mauser bolt actions. The bare hill side and shallow trench provided poor cover for the British. The Brits lacked training and new tactics for their increased fire power in both rifle and artillary fire. the fighting was so fierce Gen botha had to call for volunteers to reinforce the Boers at the top of the hill. Finally the Boers retreated giving the victory to the British. the British also retreated abandoning the hill and the Boers came back to get the final victory. A photo of the trench shows bodies solidly covering the bottom to the point that a person could not walk along it and avoid stepping on them. This battle spelled the end for Gen Buller and he was relieved of command. he only committed a small part of his army not using the rest and then when he had the victory won he retreated abandoning the position. the Boers lost 355 men while the Brits lost over 1,500 the Boers could not sustain heavy losses relative to their total strength.

www.opposingviews.com/i/society/arrest-warrant-niccol-machiavelli-found-after-500-years Arrest Warrant for Niccolò Machiavelli Found After 500 Years[/color] By Evan Bleier Mon, February 25, 2013 The 500-year-old arrest warrant for Niccolò Machiavelli has been discovered by Professor Stephen J. Milner of the University of Manchester. The document calling for the arrest of the famous Italian Renaissance figure was the catalyst for Machiavelli’s writing of “The Prince.” Milner came across this piece of history while he was researching town criers from the 15th and 16th centuries. “When I saw it I knew exactly what it was and it was pretty exciting,” Milner said in a University news article. “When you realize this document marked the fall from grace of one the world's most influential political writers, it's quite a feeling.” The arrest warrant was read aloud on Feb. 19, 1513. According to The Daily News, it stated that any Florentines with knowledge as to the whereabouts of Machiavelli had one hour to come forward with that information. The warrant also called for the surrendering of the names of anyone who may have been hiding Machiavelli. When he became associated with a conspiracy to overthrow the Medici family, the ruling family in Florence at the time, Machiavelli became a wanted man. “When his name was linked to conspiracy to overthrow the Medici, they wasted no time in seeking his capture using the proclamation I discovered,” said Milner. Machiavelli ended up being exiled from Florence. The famed philosopher lived in poverty until his death in 1527. Although he twice dedicated “The Prince” to members of the Medici family in an attempt to get them to once again look upon him in a good light, it didn’t work. “‘The Prince’ was written in the vain hope of gaining favor and employment with the Medici - but there's no evidence to suggest they even read it,” Milner said. The book is regarded as one of the original works of modern political philosophy. Its primary argument is that the ends justify the means and that sacrificing one's virtues in order to maintain power is sometimes necessary. www.opposingviews.com/i/society/arrest-warrant-niccol-machiavelli-found-after-500-years

The battle of Colenso in the Boer war is unique for pointing out that being stubborn is not a replacement for brains. The Boers helda position on the opposite side of the Tugela River. A two day warm up of British artillary fire missed the Boer trenches. The morning of the attack by the British the British commander Hart gave his men an hour of close order drill be for marching off in Column to the attack. British tactics did not take into account the change in fire power brought on by the bolt action repeating rifle. The tactics used against the Zulu when the British were armed with single shot rifles would not work facing a dug in enemy armed with repeating rifles. The guide leading the british took them to the wrong ford at punts drift. The british entered a bend or the river with the ford at its head. The Boers held the opposite river banks and it was like waling into a lions jaw in a massed column with obvious results. a heavy fire hit the British who rather than pull back tried to fight it out. Those tried to feel their way around the Boers were called back to fight at the river bend. Finally two batteries of guns galloped up to take part in the battle but the heavy fire forced the gunners to abandon the guns and resupply of ammo was impossible. Again out dated tactics the guns did not have to be in rifle range of the Boers to be effective. Brave but dumb. Finally the british pulled back. Losing 143 killed, 756 wounded and 220 prisoners plus ten guns left on the field. The Boers lost 8 killed and 30 wounded. The british were lucky to have the empire to draw on for replacements Finally the Boer position was turned and they retreated
