So so many things have happened to me jcurio. I was getting ready to get in bed a couple of nights ago and I had gotten as far as putting my head on my pillow (but still standing beside the bed.) I began to sob deeply, feeling so alone and not up to the task of carrying on. I then felt a hand on my head, gently stroking and lightly scratching my skull. It was Terry. He was the only person in my life who had touched me like this. I lay quietly beneath his touch, soothed and comforted. Then I realized that it was my right hand doing the stroking. Now I am extremely left-handed. I don't hold eating utensils with my right (I switch around). And I have never touched my head like that. In a loving way. It continued for awhile after I realized what was happening. Then I got myself into bed and curled up in a ball. At least I could move on that far... You know that when one touches oneself, it does not feel like someone else is doing it. Just so, someone cannot tickle themselves. Even after I realized that it was my hand, it did not feel like my hand. I immediately thought of Ghost Story, where Patrick Swayze just wants to touch his surviving partner one more time. He moves into Whoopi Goldberg's body and they dance. A moment of gentle possession. One other thing since I'm crying now, my nose is stopped up, and tears are welling...I was upset that my last memories of him were of him in his deteriorating body. There was a smell, now gone, of, I suppose, the cancer's ravages. I didn't want to remember him that way! (tears). My eyes fell on a little metal box. Inside were faded pictures of him and his young family. He had his shirt off and he was a golden god. He was on the volunteer fire fighting team and worked out a lot. I was so glad to see him in that body! I didn't care that he wasn't "mine" then. But there were also two more pictures that opened my heart, and dispelled my fears. He was holding his first born - as an infant - so carefully and reverently. He was manifesting love and I felt it, even holding the old picture. He was not sick and in pain that day - he was forever young. He SHONE out of that picture to me and I knew he had guided me to find it. We do not take our old bodies with us, wherever we might go. So it goes for me. I also discovered (yesterday) that he had paid into a life insurance policy where he worked. I got a totally unexpected huge amount of money as a one-time death benefit. I will be able to pay off our/my remaining house mortgage and maybe do a little fixing up. I had to call them to make sure they hadn't made a mistake. I didn't want to spend money that wasn't mine. But no, they meant to send it to me. I could hardly breathe. I am grateful and tearful at the same time. I wish he (before the dementia he) could have lived on and shared whatever we had in time and resources. But I do not doubt that he was beaming love; much like that radio. I'm not alone. ________________________________ It has taken me near a month to “process” all this. I can only hope that you feel listened to, and understood. ❤️ My dad died a year ago this month. He died in this home, with his loved ones around him, and we have never regretted his dying at home. I have had one dream of my dad since then; my mom has had several. Its a weird feeling, to be so sure, without a doubt, that my dad is happy where he is. I have had, no one, in my real life, to caress me lovingly as you expressed that Terry did. Maybe, because of my own repeated behavior? Of bodily moving away from anyones touch? Idk. I see my mom casually rubbing someones back at a family gathering, and I feel wistful? Even touches by my former husband or a boyfriend have been brief? I carefully remember, a soft stroking down my shoulder and arm, by something “invisible”, one of those times ( years ago) when I was laying in my bed on my side; contemplating another horrible day of my marriage. I was unafraid. It was wonderful. I can think about it, and feel the “wonder” of it. Such love; that I was unaware of.

J Curio - not wanting or even bearing to be touched is an old sad defense. Carried forward from however long ago. We are born craving touch, and babies that don't get it "fail to thrive" and actually die or continue on with significant cognitive and behavioral challenges.
I don't like someone (say my husband) coming up behind me when I'm say, washing dishes and hugging me. I feel trapped and there's nothing loving about it (to me). So I too have history - mine goes back so far that I can only make a circumstantial guess at who taught fear when being held. I have worked on enjoying touch but not one that moves (sneakily) into erotic/private zones. But yes, touching my head and hair was pure comforting.I am glad you have received a pure touch that comforted you as well. And it seems that you managed to part with your former husband after that touch.
I was touched/directed by an ....angel...for want of a better description. I was lying in bed, awake and in deep pain from my back. I think my husband was off fishing somewhere. (commercially). Suddenly I was directed - easy...easy...move in very slow movements (I had attended a workshop that touched on micro-movements to get movement back into an area stiffened by pain. I had never bothered to try doing it.)
I moved...imperceptably. One way...and then the other. I was encouraged. There was a voice directing me.
The pain shifted and drew back so that I could sleep. For which I am grateful.

michaelshermer.substack.com/p/a-challenge-to-believers-in-ufos?utm_source=twitter&sd=nfs&s=rA Challenge to Believers in UFOs & UAPsIf you are so confident that contact with aliens has been made & the government is about to disclose what it knows, how about putting your money where your confidence is? A $1000 wager by 12/31/2023?by Michael Shermer / substack.com/profile/4913835-michael-shermer 5-13-2022I have been interested in UFOs, the SETI program (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence), and the concept that we’re not alone in the cosmos ever since I started reading Carl Sagan in the 1970s, when the late great Cornell University astronomer and science communicator legitimized the topic as no one before or since. And, of course, it was in the episode on aliens in his 1980 PBS documentary series Cosmos that Sagan made famous the ECREE principle: Extraordinary Claims Require Extraordinary Evidence. (There were predecessors to the concept and wording, but as with most quotes this one migrated up to the most famous person who said it.) My own position is that there are two questions on the table: (1) Are they out there? (2) Have they come here? My answers: (1) Probably yes. (2) Probably not. The topic is now back in the news as never before, with considerable excitement over a handful of blurry photographs and grainy videos going by the new acronym UAP, or Unidentified Aerial Phenomena, a less baggage-loaded term than UFOs. Not only has the New York Times—the “paper of record” no less—been covering this story, but the august CBS news series 60 Minutes gave it considerable air time. If you’ve been abducted by aliens or migrated early to Mars and missed this story, you can read my analysis of the UAP phenomena, including (as in the screen shot below) the quote from Luis Elizondo, featured on the show as having headed up the government’s UAP program, in which he states that not only does he think “they’re real,” but he thinks the government thinks that as well. That word “real” is doing a lot of work here, as what the government means is that the videos are real—as in not deep fakes or CGI effects—and most certainly not that they represent real alien spaceships (or Chinese or Russian drones or aircraft). In my analysis I also explain why I am highly skeptical that either hypothesis—extraordinary extraterrestrial (aliens) or extraordinary terrestrial (Russian or Chinese advanced technology)—are true, and that it is much more likely that they represent ordinary terrestrial phenomena. Here I would like to issue a challenge to UFOlogists and UAPists: put your money where your confidence is. I will put up $1000 if any of you will as well, deposited with a neutral third party, the winner to be determined by an agreed upon third party tribunal with a set date of, say, December 31, 2023, so more than a year and a half from now, giving ample time for said disclosure to be made. We would also need to agree on a set of criteria that constitutes a “hit”, namely that there is unmistakable, irrefutable, undeniable evidence of what would arguably be the greatest discovery in the history of humanity: contact with aliens. It cannot be, as in the screen shots below, more grainy videos, blurry photographs, and breathless stories about mysterious things in the sky. As I say, if you want to name a new species in biology you need a holotype, a type specimen that other biologists (and anyone else) can see, examine, photograph, analyze, etc. Physical evidence would be ideal, but lacking an alien body or spaceship, something along the lines of what Carl Sagan proposed in his novel and film Contact: a signal that could not be produced by natural phenomena, such as a sequence of prime numbers. SETI scientists have had deep discussions of this Signal Detection Problem, and they have criteria of what would constitute a “hit” response. We need something like this for UFOs and UAPs. I can imagine a “disclosure” event in which, say, the Pentagon, backed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Congress, and the President himself, announcing that contact with aliens has been made, or evidence of alien visitation has been discovered, and then presenting it to the public and the scientific community for everyone to see for themselves. I promise this challenge is not an attempt to troll the UFO/UAP community. I’m serious about this. What do you say Luis Elizondo, Nick Pope, Jeremy Corbell, Steven Greer, the entire team of Ancient Aliens (Giorgio Tsoukalos, Erich von Däniken, David Childress, William Henry), To the Stars Academy (Tom DeLonge, Harold E. Puthoff, Jim Semivan), Jacques Vallee, the researchers at MUFON, NUFORC, UAPTF, CUFOS, NICAP, NIDSci, BUFORA, and anyone else who has been publicly stating that disclosure of alien contact is imminent? Perhaps we could even set up a “betting market” open to the general public to wager money on disclosure by our set date. If nothing else, it would be a useful exercise in establishing a set of evidential criteria, for this most certainly is a Signal Detection Problem, and that signal—evidence of alien visitation—would unquestionably be an extraordinary one indeed. But the problem is, when tbere is a more clear photograph, people think it is photoshopped...
I keep asking such skeptics, "What kind of evidence is it going to take for you to believe?"
And I NEVER get an answer... I truly don't know if they can answer that!
What do most skeptics say?
UFO & Alien on the news?... The media announces fake news all the time? Remember, the Moon landing were faked you know...
UFO on the White House lawn?... Hollywood prop...
UFO hovering over your house?... I'm on drugs, or I just imagining it.
UFO Debris?... Just a weather balloon, or secret military technology...
UFO flying at MACH 36?... Space Debris. Top secret military aircraft or missile... A Bird. (Yes I've actually had someone tell me that.)
UFO hovered and MADE NO NOISE?... Just a helicopter. (Yes I've actually had someone tell me that ridiculous explanation , too... We ALL know for a fact, that helicopters are extremely noisy!)
And the examples go on...
No matter what the facts are, no matter what the evidence indicates... and no matter what our history books tell us...
They've always got an answer for it all... except for just one that favors Aliens and their spacecraft.
And they claim they are open-minded?... No they're not.
They just keep thinking and saying that "Aliens Don't Exist", and so... it MUST be something else. Anything else.
Sure we all want that undeniable evidence... But, for them, I believe that nothing will ever convince them...
Not even if a UFO scoops them up, and probes them. Again, and Again, and One more time.
Yeah, Right... Prove to me FIRST. that you will actually accept some evidence, and actually pay me my prize...
That should be a hell of a lot easier to do, than my getting a UFO photograph.
If YOU can't do that, then why should I bother?... Since I truly believe YOU won't pay!
I'm not saying I believe everything that is presented as evidence, but I do believe that Aliens & UFOs have been on Earth at one time or another...
I really don't care if others don't believe, since you'll never believe, no matter what is presented to you as "Evidence".

UFO hovered and MADE NO NOISE?... Just a helicopter. (Yes I've actually had someone tell me that ridiculous explanation , too... We ALL know for a fact, that helicopters are extremely noisy!) What exactly is the “extraordinary claim"?Wouldn't that be the "Noiseless Helicopter"... and NOT the "UFO", since no human being has ever heard of a completely silent helicopter?... and least not until 2022. (Some companies are trying to create some "Noiseless Helicopters", but nothing successful to date...) Lots of noiseless UFOs, but no noiseless helicopters.
