My husband and I went off into the logging roads to go rock hunting yesterday. We stopped at a small roadside quarry and upon getting out of the car and taking a couple of steps I suddenly had a huge pain in my right heel. It felt like I had stepped on something sharp that penetrated my shoe. I actually looked down expecting to see something gruesome or at least blood.
Nope. Nothing. I rubbed it. It HURT. I got back in the car (limping) and we carried on. Within a minute or two there was a loud hissing and we just made it to a flat place to park before the back passenger tire went completely flat. I was the one who first heard the hissing and drew my husband's attention to it. When I got out of the car, my foot was fine and I walked up and down the road looking for rocks while he dealt with it.
He changed the tire with the spare, and we drove back to the house when he examined the tire. It has a large cut in it (not a puncture) and my foot twinged when I saw it.
This might be totally coincidental - but I wondered if I had had a physic somatic reaction (feeling of being cut) prior to the accident. I was very alert to the fact that there was something wrong. I have never experienced anything like this before.

Empathing those things around yourself is said (by Mystics) to be just another form of awakening into the OneSelf which is, after-all, everything.
On the other paw, however, it could be just random alignment within the various time-lines 'coincidence', but then again, only your, foot, knows for sure. <g>

Very Cool, Paulette ;D. I'm sorry that it was a painful event, but sometimes those are the ones that first catch our attention. I agree with Plutronus .

Paulette.. This is probably nothing but thought I would tell you about my nephew. He stepped on a needle a large one. it went into his heel and laid vertical up the back of his foot. No more pain . Almost a year later he had pain as it had move some in location and it did make it start to pain.. When it would not stop . They took him to the hospital and they found it right away and removed it. What I mean is he had no pain only a sharp pain when t entered . He checked the carpet to see what he had stepped on . but found nothing. He seen nothing in his heel either.. I don't know if there was any blood or not..
Just wanted you to know so you would not make this mistake in case.. I'm sure it has nothing to do with your heel. It would be a long shot..

well you very likely could've been having a psychic connection to the car tire being cut, you could've also stepped on something sharp that in turn punctured your tire, you also could've been experiencing something quite separate from the tire altogether as Plutronous has stated, or the needle in the heel as Lois suggested too. I have been experiencing very sharp sporadic pain in my heels (sometimes one sometimes both) upon waking or standing again after a period of sitting. I attribute this to my opening up more on the enlightenment road such as a shaman will begin to experience physical discomforts after a time of "living the life" of a shaman. Too, I have had experiences where I will feel or hear something prior to an event happening. Such as , I will now hear sirens before there are any emergency vehicles in sight of me, and I will feel the rain before it rains, I feel the electricity before a big storm, I felt the pain of my huge pine tree breaking during an ice storm, etc. so this too is very real and possible for you to experience as well. But also my grand mother stepped on a needle once and only felt a sudden sharp pain, looked around, found nothing (as Lois reports) and went about her business with no further discomforts. Some years later the darn thing worked its way out her big toe of all places and she pulled it out herself. So it is best for you to use your own discernment in what has occurred with you...ours is possible helpful input and/or speculation, only you can truly know. And I suspect that you already do

I've been having a sharp pain in my heel recently also. Have no idea why. I assumed it was because of all; the running that I do but the funny thing is that it never hurts when I run. It only does it once in a while when I am walking around. Maybe I'm just getting old.

You have a giant nerve up the back of your heel . Mine hurts every now and then. Not much you can do for it. Of course my old legs are trying their best to just walk.

Thanks everybody. It hasn't hurt since. I have stepped on a needle and after the first nanosecond of pain, I couldn't feel it - I pulled it out because IT WAS THREADED AND THE THREAD WAS HANGING OUT OF MY HEEL. That was about 10 years ago - it healed uneventfully. I'll just have to see if anything further happens...

Definitely sounds like an empathetic reaction to me also- I agree with Plutronus (although I don't know a whole lot about "awakening" and "higher self" and all of that... ;D )

I think the event was a warning and the fact that you just made it to a flat place indicates that the extra awareness could have prevented a troublesome event. --- Was it your right heel (passenger side)?
