We had a pair of unidentified lights in the night sky over San Diego. It was on the TV news but so far I haven't seen anything in print. The local bases had no clue of what they were either.

UFO in San Diego sky 12/30/2013 Published on Dec 30, 2013 I was driving home on 12/30 and saw these three bright orange lights in the sky. I pulled over and got on the hood of my car to get a better view. They seemed to move horizontally as well as disappear and reappear in different locations. Does anyone know what these lights were? They were bright orange but unfortunately my phone shows them as being lighter in color.

Did you see them yourself, Jo? Did they look like the ones auntym posted in the video? The way those were flickering they might have been Chinese lanterns but there were three of them instead of two. They looked kind of bright for lanterns also.

As we watched the fireworks in Gatlinburg last night, someone way up one of the mountains released three Chinese Lanterns one at a time. They made for interesting viewing as they drifted higher and higher--flickering white to yellow to red. Eventually faded out. I guess if someone was not familiar with lanterns they would be puzzled.

Here is another video of the San Diego lights. They are too far away to be able to tell what they are but they appear to be brighter than Chinese lanterns. Notice that one is moving a lot faster than the others which it shouldn't be doing if they were all drifting with the breeze. It's hard to tell from the video though.

Local news called the military bases who said nope wasn't them...and they've decided that they just aren't anything they can figure out including chinese lanterns. The behavior and light are different. I didn't see them at all Sky except on the news but it's not the first time we've had lights that never were identified. There were some last year too. These just don't seem like 'craft' to me..but I have no idea what they are.

There are reports of lights popping up all over California now. They seem to be more up towards the northern part of the state the past two nights. Unfortunately with all of the possible explanations nowadays (drones, helicopters, LED kites, remote controlled planes, etc...) it's practically impossible to tell if they are earthly or otherwise...unless other weird things start happening. This all started right after that crop circle showed up didn't it? Could all be part of an elaborate hoax or maybe something weird really is going on out there. www.news10.net/news/article/267425/2/Multiple-UFO-sightings-reported-across-Calif
