The Cokeville Miracle
When the deranged ex-police officer David Young broke into the Cokeville Elementary School in Cokeville, Wyoming, Lincoln County, U.S, with his wife in 1986, a gasoline bomb in his hand, claiming 300 million dollars for sparing the 167 little lives he held at bay, they knew only a miracle could save them. And in circumstances most divine and extraordinary, the miracle did happen. The little children saw beautiful angels and long dead relatives descending from the skies. The bomb did explode, and the Young couple died, but none of the hostages, children or teachers, were mortally injured. Was this a divine intervention?
After serving with six months of loyalty (at least so he believed) at the Cokeville police department, David Young was dismissed in 1979 for misconduct. Presumably this incident had a profound effect on him, for he lived for the next 7 years in Tucson, Arizona, returning again on May 16th, 1986 with his wife Doris, suddenly making his appearance at the Cokeville Elementary School. The couple suddenly entered the school with 4 rifles, 9 handguns and a crude gasoline bomb. David first went into the School office, holding out a manifesto headed "Zero = Infinity". He then announced "This is a revolution". His behavior caused teachers to believe that he was mad, while his wife went from class to class gathering a crowd of 167 children and teachers into a single classroom, claiming it's an emergency.
Once all the 167 people were there, David suddenly held out his gasoline bomb, with a trigger mechanism attached to a shoelace tied to his wrist. In the height of chaos and panicking, David declared that he wanted a ransom of 2 million dollars per hostage, plus a private phone call from the President of U.S. Meanwhile, parents and police surrounded the school, while David used his insanity filled words like "think of it as an adventure" to calm the children.
After almost 2.5 hours, David made the fatal mistake of handing the bomb over to Doris as he went to the washroom. The already excited Doris trembled, and with a jerk of her hand went off the bomb.
Around this time the children witnessed the greatest miracle of their lives. Divine angels dressed in white robes appeared in the room, asking them to shift to a corner as the explosion was about to occur. Many children saw "a beautiful lady" while others saw their deceased relatives, telling them that there wasn't anything to be afraid of. In fact, there was an angel over every child, who tried their best to protect the particular children they were entrusted with. Some children, on the other hand, didn't see anything but heard disembodied voices trying to help them.
The bomb exploded, and Doris lay dead on the floor. David rushed in, and seeing his wife dead, shot himself with his own gun. However, no hostage was severely injured. 76 people suffered minor flash burns, but that's all.
According to experts, only one of the five "blasting caps" of the bomb had blown, thus limiting the explosion which could have blown off the entire side of the building. Most skeptics obviously want to explain this as sheer luck, but is it really so? Why would the children lie? And were the little souls in a condition to make up stories after such a traumatizing incident?
The above police photograph shows a charred wall mysteriously etching an outline of an angelic figure, the only "physical" evidence of the miracle.
It is true that children are messengers from God. In an article posted long ago entitled Guardian Angels, allaboutoccult.blogspot.in/2013/06/guardian-angels.html I discussed how there are guardian angels and ascended spirits in charge of each individual incarnated on Earth, who strives to help his subject and may reveal himself in times of severe stress. Perhaps something similar occured here. What do you think?
