I was driving home on a stretch of two lane road and was coming upon my turn in about a mile, but then I saw a sign warning of a stop sign which is about three miles down the road past my street.
Seems to be a very short loss of time, I didn't notice my clock or anything like that, but I am very familiar with the road and would not have driven past my turn for several miles. It was like 'boom' and then I was almost four miles past where I was supposed to be.
Weird.

Did anything else unusual happen? Any weird lights or sounds or anything? It's too bad you don't know how much time went by. What seemed like a short loss might have been much longer than you first suspected.

No, I noticed nothing different. I even looked up and around and there was nothing. I just don't know.

Do you remember what you were thinking about when it happened? Maybe you were just so engrosses with your thoughts you might have just not been paying attention. I know that's a lame explanation but it happens to me every now and then so I thought I would just throw it out there. Otherwise if you don't know for sure there was missing time it would be hard to say if anything really happened...unless other unusual things were going on also. You should keep your eyes open for anything out of the ordinary.

Often what we are thinking when a strange event occurs is very important to understanding it.

I'm sure you must have thought of it..but have you noticed any bruising, burn marks or divots in your skin or possible needle marks? I know from experience that time lost usually signifies something.
