Hello all, new here. I have quite a few questions I need to ask, and this is my first attempt to do so in public. Although I have tried to explain these things in the past to family or friends, I just get the look like, 'whoa, she's losing it!' Not yet, but sometimes it feels that way.
My first experience that I can still to this day vividly remember, when I was about 9 years old, back in 1962. It was a hot summer night, windows open, no AC back then, and the moon was full. My room was an L shape, and my bed was in the small part of the L, in a little alcove. My younger sister's bed was at the other far end of the long part of the L. The moon was bright, and I remember turning my head away from the window to block out the beams from my eyes. I was laying on my stomach, with no sheet or blanket on me. Just as I was about to doze off, the light in the room got very bright. I remember turning my head toward the window, and the light was almost blinding. I turned my head away again, and the next thing I knew, was a hand was pressing down on the middle of my back! I remember abject terror filling me! I can still feel that terror when I think about it. I was frozen in fear, or was it something else? I remember I didn't feel like I could move, and I thought I was going to die. I don't know if I passed out or what, but I don't remember anything until I woke up in the morning. I awoke facing towards the foot of my bed, something I never did. I asked my Mother if she had come into my room that night and touched me in the middle of my back, and she said no. "It must've been the cat." It was no cat, of that I am sure! It was someone's right hand! No one else in the home heard or saw anything, so they passed it off that I was dreaming. I assure you, I was not. Any thoughts here? I have one other story that involved me and my dad, but I will post that separately. Thanks for any help with this. What happened to me??

Second event. I was now about 13, and this was a warm evening in the early fall. Clear night, and my father had come to pick me up from the stables where I rode my horse. The stable was approximately 25 miles from our home. Mixed speed limits to and from, but it usually took about 25 minutes or so to get there one way. Coming home it was getting dark. We were about 5 minutes from our home, when all of a sudden we drove into a really thick fog. It was like clear, and then we were in a cloud! My dad slowed way down and cussed the sudden fog. All of a sudden, in the light of the right headlight, I saw a small figure. It was maybe 10 inches tall? Small, thin, grey figure with large for it's size dark almond shaped eyes, and a slit of a mouth that seemed to be moving. It would be a slit, then turn into a circle form, like it was talking. My dad stopped the car, at least I think HE stopped the car? I looked at him and asked, "Dad, what the Hell is that??" He was ghost white, and very quietly said, "Shhhssshh, don't talk." That is the last that I remember being there in the car. The next thing I knew, we were walking into our house, and my mom was frantically screaming, "Where the Hell have you been?! You've been gone for 3 hours!!" My dad just walked off to his room, and I had no clue as to what to tell her. I still don't! I tried years later to jog his memory about this, but it was quite clear he didn't want to talk about it, and denied it ever happened. I could tell by his expression and body language that he was lying, and he just didn't want to talk about it! What happened?? Lost time? Where did we go, and why can't I remember anything about either of these instances? All these years later, this still eats at me.

Hi, deb. The first experience you described sounds very much like what I encountered during my first experience. I also saw a bright light coming through my bedroom window and I felt paralyzed also. Those are both often described during abduction encounters. I would be interested in hearing any other details that you can remember about it and would be glad to try to answer any questions that you may have. And welcome to the forum.

Welcome Deb. These are intreguing stories - believable too. Did you ever talk to your father or your sister after the events you described? The part that I reverberated to in your first story was the intense fear you felt. I had an experience not-the-same but similar. I almost dispassionately thought I was going to die. (I was a young adult). I then woke up many hours later.

Thanks guys. My sister said she never saw or heard anything that night. She is 4 years younger than me, so at the time would've been about 5. Hard to say if she did or didn't. My father has passed on 5 years ago, so no trying to get him to think about it again. I was trying to think of anything else about that night today, but came up with nothing. The second time however, I do remember seeing a 3 point, prick mark on the top of my right thigh. It was small, and in a triangular formation. It later turned into a blood blister looking thing, and some years ago, just faded and disappeared.
I also read articles on this site about psychic abilities and experiences, and that also seems to apply to me. I started having strange dreams about people dying and getting illnesses, when I was about 15 years old. This went on for some years until I started drinking alcohol to block out the dreams; they were very disturbing to me. I have lived in many parts of the country over the years, and in each state I have lived in, I have had sightings of UFOs. Are they following me, or is this coincidence? The last one I remember was right here where I live now, but that has been probably been about 14 years ago. My son was with me, and he saw it too! We were just yards away from our private road, and there appeared a bright light in the pasture by the road. I stopped the truck to look at it, and he asked what it was. Didn't know at the time, but we live near an Army base, I at first I assumed it was a helicopter or a flare, it was off in the distance a ways. Then it suddenly got closer, really quickly! It was as big as a house, a vibrant blue, pink, and bright white. It shot a white light down to the ground, and then it beamed it up again. I was mesmerized, my son was terrified, and screamed, "MOM, let's go HOME NOW!" I agreed, and we sped home, and turned off all the lights in the house. This thing made absolutely NO noise, and we were probably about 150 yards away from it. That is the last time I have seen anything like it, not that I miss it. What got me to rethinking about my past experiences, was a comment section I frequent, and one guy mentioned the Todd Sees case. I had never heard about it, and looked it up. That brought back a flood of those past memories, and left me with questions. I'm not sure it was wise of me to look up the Sees case, as now this has all been on my mind again after all of these years. I will be 61 tomorrow, and had not thought of all of this for a long time. Looking around this site, I don't feel so alone in those memories though, so at least that is a good thing. Thanks for listening, when no one else has.

One other thing I forgot. When I lived in CA, 1979-1989, I remember seeing and buying Whitley Schrieber(sp)'s book, Communion. When I saw the cover in the store, it stopped me dead in my tracks, and when I picked it up to look closer, I began to cry, right there in the store! I bought it and read it and re-read it. Seems to me, we have the exact same birthday, 6/13, that I didn't realize until I read his bio on the back cover. I hope that did not happen to me, but the face of the alien on the cover is what stirred the crying in me, and I had no explanation why at the time. I need to see if I still have that book stored away somewhere and read it again.

That Communion book seems to evoke strong responses from a lot of people. It was one of the first books that had an illustration of a "grey" alien on the cover. It's the big black almond-shaped eyes that people seem to recognize. I peronally don't think the head is as big as it should be tho.
Your experiences share a lot of similarities with many of our other members here. Many of us have had weird things like that happen to us and we had a hard time getting people to listen also. It seems nobody wants to take it seriously unless it happens to them personally. After that it's hard to ignore.

How old was your son - he seemed to know whatever was in the sky was to be avoided?

It may be because I read Intruders by Budd Hopkins long before I ever read communion.

Wow!! Both my copies say the same date 1987. Oh well I only knew the Gray on Intruders for a few years. I found Communion in a resale store. . Maybe in 88 or 89. I have heard many witnesses say both ways is what they seen on these covers. I remember Tonia saying that is what was at the door for the first time when I held Intruders in my hands while reading. She today says "Mom the intruder book cover is more like a gray than the other." She did not like looking at either one and would rather I got rid of them at the time.

Deb.. Before either of the above books were written one was written called . The Andresson Affair. It is a must read. The abuctee Betty tells of the Gray alien with big eyes. www.ufocasebook.com/andreassonluca.htmlI read it first but never imagine a Gray completely til Intruders. Betty whole world and life changed dramatically . I felt as Betty did when she made this statement in this interview. My family were fine, so my mind must have accepted the situation, and felt a sense of peace that we all were protected no matter what. For I believe what Gods Word stated. “I will be with you even unto the end.” And “If God be for you, who can be against you.”

My understanding of what happened is that Budd Hopkins and Whitley Strieber were working together at one time. Hopkins was hypnotizing Strieber and helping him remember some of his UFO/alien experiences. Naturally this caused Strieber to want to write a book about his experiences which Hopkins objected to partly because he thought it was too premature to do so and also because he was working on his own book and possibly did not want any competition. The two had a bit of a falling out over it. Most people identify more with the cover illustration on Communion (possibly because it was a very famous and well circulated book) but they can relate more to the writing in Intruders. I personally think the alien on Intruders does resemble a gray more than the other one. I also think that Strieber was a little bit "out there" with some of his ideas.

"THE ANDERSSON AFFAIR" - A CLASSIC OF ABDUCTION LITERATURE REISSUEDBy Sean Casteel October 24, 2014 One of the perks of being a UFO journalist is that publishers are sometimes eager to send me free review copies of their latest releases. Recently, I was very pleasantly surprised to receive an unsolicited – but much appreciated – copy of the recent reissue of Raymond Fowler’s classic work on alien abduction, “The Andreasson Affair.” The press material that came with the book made it obvious that it was being marketed for a new audience unfamiliar with “The Andreasson Affair,” which was originally published in 1979, a whopping 35 years ago. It seemed as though the publicist had no clue as to what an important and influential work “The Andreasson Affair” really is and how it preceded so much that we take for granted in the present day about abduction research and the methods utilized in that research. I realize some UFO Digest readers may also be unfamiliar with the events recounted in “The Andreasson Affair,” so I will briefly summarize them here. In 1967, New England housewife Betty Andreasson was at home with her children. It was the night of January 25, a typically cold night for the region, and the children had been fed and dressed and were watching “Bozo the Clown” on television. Betty was in the kitchen, finishing up a few remaining chores. Suddenly the lights went out throughout the house and a curious pink glow began to shine in through the kitchen window. What followed is an alien abduction story that never ceases to both amaze and comfort me. It involves the familiar gray aliens, journeys to and from waiting UFOs, alien medical procedures and frequent episodes of missing time. As with nearly all abduction accounts, most of the narrative information was obtained by the patient and careful use of regressive hypnosis. Another familiar element is that the aliens were obviously interested in Andreasson and other members of her family, abducting not only her but her daughter Becky and her second husband, Bob Luca. Fowler sums this aspect up by saying that alien abduction is almost invariably a “family affair.” But the amazing and comforting part is this: the aliens who spoke to Betty that night spoke of Jesus as “coming soon.” They also told Betty not to fear because the Lord is with her. They warned her that she would undergo many trials but that love would guide her and answer her throughout whatever she endured. The aliens recounted in most abduction literature generally say very little to their abductees. This fact has been compared to, for example, a cat being treated by a veterinarian. What can a veterinarian actually “say” to a cat to explain the various medical processes being carried out in the cat’s treatment, let alone their ultimate purpose? But, in Betty’s case, the aliens DID speak to her, in terms of her devout Christian faith and with comforting promises that any believer would be glad to hear. Betty has never wavered in her belief that the gray abductors are angelic creatures preparing the way for the Second Coming of Christ. I first heard of Betty and her angelic encounters when reading Whitley Strieber’s “Transformation,” his first sequel to his groundbreaking bestseller “Communion.” It was 1989, I think, ten years after “The Andreasson Affair” had first been published, and it wasn’t easy to get a copy at that point. But I eventually found one through a mail order house and read it eagerly, as well as the sequels that followed. (Those sequels are “The Andreasson Affair, Phase Two,” “The Watchers,” “The Watchers II,” and “The Andreasson Legacy.” One can only hope they will all be reissued at some point as well.) I would later have the privilege of interviewing both Betty and the UFO researcher who told her story so capably, Raymond Fowler, many times. Both Betty and Raymond have been hugely important to my writing career, on the one hand, but, even more crucially, they have helped to shape my beliefs about UFOs and Christianity to a degree I cannot overstate. And I am not alone in this opinion. I interviewed Whitley Strieber in 1993 and asked him a question about Betty. He told me that Betty’s story was something you grab hold of when you’re sinking. She is one of the few people who can take the basic abduction experience and really “make it fly.” The rest of us, meaning average abductees, often find ourselves “struggling in the muck,” but Betty’s story somehow lifts us out of that, Whitley told me. He also said he drew comfort from the drawings Betty had made of her experiences, some of which are included in “The Andreasson Affair” and its many sequels. Hi Deb53 and welcome. Most people hide away these events, often from even themselves. There is a reality happening behind the conscious awareness of humans which seems to have been happening for ages, yet seems to be reaching a new level of intensity and magnitude. Nothing is more important than uncovering the truth here. They seem to be doing more than just observing us.
I have read a couple hundred books, including Budd's and Whitley's. I did not read The Andreasson Affair, but read the Watchers and several of Fowler's others. Rather than re-reading Communion (and the rest of the series), Whitley's 'Solving the Communion Enigma' is his more current and balanced thoughts on the subject. I also would say John Mack's two books are great reading and present an essential point of view to consider, especially as the discuss the transformative and psychic aspects.
None of us have the answers and these experiences leave us with more and more questions. As we age, these experiences seem to come to the forefront as driving force behind what we are driven to understand.

ufos.about.com/od/aliensalienabduction/p/andreasson.htm 1967-The Betty Andreasson Abductionby Billy Booth Summary:Just the thought of alien abduction makes most of us turn away in confusion and disbelief. However, we must confront this issue, as it is an integral part of the UFO mystery. Though abduction itself may seem unlikely, some abductions fall into the truly bizarre category. One of these cases is the abduction of Betty Andreasson that occurred on the night of January 25, 1967, in the town of South Ashburnham, Massachusetts. This riveting case has become a mainstay of UFO literature. The Red Light:Betty was in her kitchen around 6:30 PM on the night of her abduction. The rest of her family-seven children, her mother and father were in the living room. The lights in the house began to blink, and a red light beamed into the house through the kitchen window. Betty's kids were on edge after the lights blinked, and she ran to quiet them. Beings Walk Through Door:Startled by the red beam, Betty's father ran to look out of the kitchen window to see where the light was coming from. He was amazed to see five strange creatures heading toward their house in a hopping motion. He was startled to see the creatures simply walk through the wooden door of the kitchen right into the house. In a moment, the entire family was put into a type of trance. Description of Beings:Betty's father would be attended by one of the creatures, while another began to have telepathic conversations with Betty. She and her father both thought that one of the creatures was the leader. He was about five-feet tall. The other four were approximately a foot shorter. They had very wide eyes, small ears and noses, set in a pear-shaped head. There were only slits where their mouth should have been. They only communicated with their minds. Logo of a Bird Seen:The five creatures wore a blue coverall with a wide belt. On their sleeves could be seen a logo of a bird. Three fingers were on their hands, and their feet were shod with boots. They did not actually walk, but floated as they moved along. Betty later would recall that she was not frightened by their presence, but instead, felt calm. I had an opportunity to interview Betty and ask her some questions about her bizarre experience. See my interview with Betty Andeasson Luca. Suspended Animation:Meanwhile, Betty's mother and children were still in a state of suspended animation. When Betty seemed worried about them, the aliens released her 11-year-old daughter from the trance to assure her that no harm was being done to her family. Soon, Betty was taken by the aliens to a waiting craft, which rested on a hill outside of her home. Betty estimated the craft to be about 20 feet in diameter, and saucer-shaped. Gone for Four Hours:Betty recalls that after she was aboard the UFO outside of her house, the craft took off and joined a mother-ship. There she was subjected to a physical examination, and the victim of tests by strange equipment. She was given one test which caused her pain, but resulted in being a religious awakening. She estimates that she was gone for four hours before being brought home by two of the aliens. CONTINUE READING: ufos.about.com/od/aliensalienabduction/p/andreasson.htm
