Something else I just remembered about that same dream. I kept hearing the song Shadow Dancing by the Andy Gibb and the Bee Gees. When I woke up from the dream that song was going through my mind. Not sure what that has to do with anything.

That song was from the Disco era of the late 70s. Maybe I was dancing in my sleep. ;D

The Indians did tattoo a lot..all with meaning (I didn't know that until I looked it up just now). I am absolutely relieved that I didn't star in one of your nightmares Reminds me of something Will Smith said in Men in Black when he was on the pistol range and he shot the child who was up to no good. He almost shot one of the snarling aliens then realized that the dude was just working out and he wouldn't appreciate it if someone came along and disturbed him when he was working out...another snarling alien had a cold (tissues in hand) and that point was that sometimes you had to think a bit deeper. That movie had some good analogies like that or maybe it's just that I really like Will Smith At any rate..thanks for sharing Sky..I'm so happy it was a good one

I had another dream last night. I haven't been remembering many of my dreams over the past few months but this one I did remember. I don't know why I wouldn't remember the others. July 3, 2011I dreamed that I was driving a bus with a lot of people on it. The bus broke down high up on top of a mountain. There was a very sheer drop off alongside of the road with a cliff that went down for miles. Anybody who drove off of that thing would have been dead instantly.
I pulled the bus onto a gravel-covered pull-out and started working on it trying to fix it. The people were all sitting inside waiting for me. As I was working on the bus it suddenly started to roll forward toward the cliff. I quickly leaped on board and stomped on the brake but the brakes didn't work. The pedal just went to the floor while the bus slowly started to pick up speed.
The people remained sitting in their seats, unaware of what was going on. Some started looking nervously around wondering if something was wrong but nobody did anything to try to help. It was like they trusted me to fix the situation.
I quickly jumped out and grabbed the back bumper and started pulling as hard as I could trying to slow the bus down...like I'm going to be able to stop a runaway bus with my bare hands.
My feet started sliding on the gravel. We were inching closer and closer to the cliff. I pulled harder, straining with all of my might and the bus gradually started slowing down. It finally came to a halt just a few inches from the cliff. Just a little bit further and the bus would have gone over and everybody would have gotten killed.
When I finally got everything stopped and the bus was safe I climbed on board to check on the passengers. Some were relieved but most did not even know that anything bad had even happened. Some people think that dreams are the minds subconscious way of dealing with things that happen in real life. They think that by interpreting the dream one can have a better understanding of what is going on in real life. If dreams do mimic life then the obvious interpretation of this one would be that there was some crises situation going on that I was barely able to avert while the rest of the people involved had no idea what was going on. And somehow I was narrowly able to save the day. That would be an interesting interpretation. One other thing about the dream is that there was a young lady on board that I was very attracted to, and before the dream was over I found out that she felt the same way about me. As far as the interpretation of that goes, I don't have a clue because that does not at all mirror my life right now. Maybe it is just wishful thinking.

You feel like you are single-handedly responsible for something that a lot of people are involved in. Perhaps it is the forum? I often have dreams about riding on the school bus... or at least I did until a couple years ago. It used to be a recurring dream. I was never the driver though, I was always a passenger... ~shrug~ And I was always fighting with someone else on the bus... lol... ...one school bus dream I awake from with my fist against the wall and a throbbing pain shooting up my hand from it hehehe... because I was punching someone... and punched the wall instead and woke myself up...

Perhaps you and the wall should seek anger management counceling so you both can settle your dispute.

Dreaming of riding on a school bus means you're due for an important life lesson...fighting with someone is the idea of someone or something holding you back from that and you feel like you have to 'claw' your way out of a situation in order to advance. I think maybe you are a bit stuck in a rut Lorelei and you don't want where you are to be where you remain. Your mind is so sharp that I'd see it wanting to 'fly' but circumstances keeping you grounded. Dat's my take on it.

I've heard people try to interpret dreams as being based on things that were happening in a person's real life. They say the dreams are the minds way of dealing with subconcious issues. I always wondered how accurate the interpretations were. I never suspected they could be so obvious though. I'm going to have to pay more attention to my dreams from now on.

@ skywalker: The wall is still in therapy over our issues. They have nothing to do with me, for I am the innocent victim. I swear!! ;D Dreaming of riding on a school bus means you're due for an important life lesson...fighting with someone is the idea of someone or something holding you back from that and you feel like you have to 'claw' your way out of a situation in order to advance. I suppose I have recently succumbed to the fact that I am stuck in a rut and will remain there forever... ~shrug~

I'm remembering my dreams again.
August 8, 2011
I had a dream that I was living out in a remote area, kind of like an old western ranch or an African safari type place. The grass was thick and brown. I was working as a hired hand for some people and they had me going out by myself in the fields. There were lions out there, hiding somewhere in the grass just waiting for some fool to go walking out by himself.
I was constantly worried that i was going to get attacked and eaten and I wondered why the people would keep sending me out by myself like that. Finally it dawned on me that they were doing it on purpose.
I confronted the man in charge and demanded that he be honest with me about what was going on. We got into an argument with him telling me to just do my job and me telling him to be honest with me and I would. I told him that as long as he was open and honest about what was going on then we would get along just fine. If he wasn't honest there would be problems.
That was when I woke up with a nosebleed at 4 am.

I had another dream last night. This one was kind of sort of about aliens but not exactly.
August 9, 2011
This was another one of the many shark dreams that I have but this time i knew the shark was an alien. It was huge and it was guarding the alien's base which was on an island in the ocean. Anybody who wanted to get to the base first had to get past the shark.
I was out in the ocean debating whether I wanted to try to make it to the island and risk getting killed by the shark or stay away and risk getting killed by the shark anyway. It could have attacked me at any time but in order to do so would have left the alien base unguarded.
Another interesting thing about this dream is that I was able to communicate with the shark telepathically. It was basically telling me that if I stayed away I would be okay but still I was thinking about going.

I think the dream is telling you that there is, not necessarily an island but a land that is in the middle of nowhere and hard to access, Middle of the bush or desert maybe and maybe Aliens know that we fear sharks so they use this to describe that there is someone or something there that we should fear and will stop us from getting close. I have noticed when we have dreams like this we need to interpret them to figure out the real meaning.
Do u remember anything else about the dream? Species of alien?

I would assume it is the greys. The sharks I dream about are always great whites that have grey skin and big black eyes. I've been having them since I had my abduction experience in 1988. Always about sharks.

Sky.. There are many reason one should be blessed if they have not witness a ufo or aliens. Since I have been on these forums I have discovered a new one. Nightmares ;D I would not trade my dreams for yours ever. ;D I thought mine was the worse ever till I read these post. I don't have too many any more, they seem to fade so fast when I wake I don't even have time to write them down. But this spring I had the craziest of Crazy. Now I don't remember it. I do know I stayed up in the kitchen for a couple of hours that night. Mine are more like a horror movies.. I have dream about half animal half human all my life since I was a child. Now here are post pertaining to mixing animals and man. What is the world coming to? Cloning and such. I hope my dreams have nothing to do with what is in store for the human race. I do not keep a dream journal on here as I don't dream much. But I could tell some pretty awful stuff if I was to have a dream journal on my life time of dreams. Some dreams I have told on my experiences. But they mostly are related to UFOs. and when I was a child. Sharks, I never had any fear of them or thought of them till the movies came out years ago. Oh yes and Moby Dick.. that was enough to cause dreams. Dogs would chew my arm off as a child. that is one of them .. sick stuff. Do you really think dreams have to do with having an encounter? I must of had a thousand encounters as a child if true Now having dreams of future events .. I give that a big yes to alien encounters. Do you ever have that type of dream. at four I would get up and tell my mom what was going to happen that day as of a dream and many times it happen. I was more this way as a child than an adult. Does a child see more somehow? I guess I will go outdoors and look around . It is meteor shower and night and my big night of August tenth. ;D It is now 11 now sort of early but I will be too tired to stay up when it gets the best..

I don't know if my dreams have anything to do with any encounters but the nightmares started right after my first encounter back in 1988. I had no nightmares before that and a bunch of them after that. At first they were always about sharks and I am still having them now.
I also agree that some dreams are premonitions or visions of the future. I have had a few dreams that ended up coming true but i never know which ones are premonitions and which ones aren't.

Lois, I also have dreams about the future. When I was a child I used to tell my parents and grandOparents about things that were going to happen before they happened. When I was a child it was "cute" Now that i'm a grownup, it isn't "cute" anymore...
Sky... I'm sorry you have nightmares about sharks... I only have nightmares about flying saucers and occasionally greys...

Skywalker - yeah, oh boy those black eyes....do you spend time in the water? Sharks are quite "alien" to us being an earlier life form that persisted albeit smaller than they used to be - the fossil equivilent of Great Whites used to be the size of a bus. Even so, we now know that they are warm blooded - their muscles are heated and they can swim from California to Hawaii at great depths (we know this now do to satellite uplinks attached to them). Not sure if they are eating giant squid down there or just swimming where there is no traffic. No bones but a life supply of replaceable teeth that are bony. A mystery they are. Dangerous predators who are not concerned about their effects on others - much like the stories about grays.
Try to to give yourself a magical weapon or tool to deal with the shark. Remember it before you go to sleep. There is a real electrical device that causes them to leave the area - it scrambles their own electrical location apparatus in the specialized tissue around their noses, snouts whatever. They (the sharks) kind of seizure and leave. Dophins have a weapon that works well against them as well - they zap the shark with a strong burst of sonar waves. This kills and stuns fish and seems to disorient the sharks. I may have been protected by a pod of dolphin that swam around me (with me in the center along with a couple young dolphin). I initially thought it was a social visit but it might have been even more significant. I was surfing in the Gulf of Mexico and the area had all kinds of big sharks - hammerheads, lemon, tiger, and although one one caught one when I lived there - probably whites as well. The water was always murky and we didn't think about it. Maybe you need a few dolphin friends in your dreams.

I go scuba diving sometimes but the shark dreams started way before I ever went diving. I began having them right after my abduction experience in 1988. I think that whatever happened to me that night reminded me of the Jaws movies and that is why I started dreaming about the sharks...they are extremely dangerous predators that come swooping up without warning and grab people, and people who are attacked by them are helpless to do anything about it. I think that pretty well describes the encounter I had when I got zapped by the light that paralyzed me and picked me up out of the bed. I was totally helpless then too. I seriously doubt that I am still being abducted now but I am wondering why the nightmares and nosebleeds always occur together, and why it happens during the week that the moon is full. It makes no sense to me at all.

I think your brain has latched onto a perfectly good representation of a 'grey'. Grey skin, dark pupil-less eyes, predator.. your mind can identify with a shark just not the alien-ness of the beings. To me, there's nothing strange in that at all. Stress and anxiety can be causes of nosebleeds by the way.

I think that since my memory of whatever happened was erased I couldn't remember who or what it was that grabbed me. Subconciously I still knew that something had happened so my mind tried to fill in the blanks with the closest thing it could come up with...the shark. It also makes sense that the nightmares could be causing the nosebleeds just by increasing the stress levels or maybe raising my blood pressure. I still don't understand what the Moon has to do with anything though.

Was it a full moon when they snagged you? I think a lot of UFO activity happens during full moons. Maybe in some bizarre way they stick out less..I know I'm always drawn to full moons and a LOT Of ritual stuff is during full moon. Other than that, I dunno..but if I were asked to pick some creature to represent them..I think shark would be at the top of my list...

I just checked and the calender said that the Moon was only half full when I got zapped, but then again I am not a hundred percent certain what date it was. I just know that it happened in August of 1988. I'm guessing it was close to the 15th but I suppose it could have been later in the month. I dunno.

Well..it might have been something you saw (the full moon) as you were being beamed out of the window. That would tend to stick with you if so. Or...you saw the underside of the ship and your mind decided it was not an alien craft..it had to be something familiar like the full moon. Might have resembled one with the beam coming down and all..so sharks and moons and the stress of nightmares contributing to nosebleeds. Then there is this: It has been well noted in the medical field that we bleed more when the moon is full, wounds do bleed more heavily at full moon |
www.gaias-garden.co.uk/articles/moon.htmlI did a quickie google on UFO sightings during full moons and there are a slew of em. It probably does all make sense on some level Sky Knowing you..I'm sure of it. I'm not certain of the date of mine either..just that it was summer..and probably July or August because we were both in short sleeves and it was very warm.

That part about wounds bleeding more during a full moon was very interesting. That, plus the nightmares could easily explain the nosebleeds that I have when the moon is full. I wonder why the moon effects bleeding though?
