At first, I figured this was computer-generated, but it IS moving and it slowly diffuses?

I've seen a smoke ring like that before. I think we even have it here on the forum. I don't know if it is the same one or not but it looked very similar. I'm inclined to think it is real but couldn't even begin to guess how it might have formed. The way it diffuses at the end it almost looks like dirt rather than smoke and it is rotating around in a circle. Maybe some weird meteorological weather phenomenon? A small tornado sucked some dirt up and spun it into a ring? I dunno.

Did you see the bird fly through the upper portion of it?

I donno. I think the bird flew in front of it. It look like someone lit a fuse right before it got smoky/dirty looking.

I wonder if those could be bugs? Like a swarm of locusts or something flying around in a circle?

Did you see the bird fly through the upper portion of it? Good eye, Jo! Look at that again, in slo-mo. The bird appears to hit something invisible directly above the "ring", and it makes the bird deviate (just slightly) from its original flight? Ha! Maybe this is a flying saucer that somehow got "stuff" stuck to its outer rim, and has to somehow get it off, all while trying to stay invisible! Lol

At Burning Man smoke 'ring' vortex-generators are a common sight. They produce smoke rings that appear just like that depicted above. However, canons are also known to often create smoke rings when fired under certain various atmospheric conditions and considering the part of the world where video'd, I tend to lean in that direction. However, for more info, search (turn off java-script and use www.duckduckgo.com .... no tracking and no cheesy advertising), search on "vortex generators", and "smoke ring canons", but for the best photos/videos, search using "Burning Man smoke rings". cheers, Burner von Plutronus
