All four astronauts taking part passed the test, carried out using the latest technology. Experts say the results prove they were “completely convinced” signs of alien life they claimed to have witnessed during historic missions were genuine. Aldrin, Al Worden, Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper all took part in the study. The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology in Albany, Ohio, carried out complex computer analyses of the astronauts’ voice patterns as they told of their close encounters. Although the technology is still top-secret, these studies are claimed to be more reliable than current lie detector tests and could soon replace those used by the FBI and police. One of the first tested was Apollo 11 pilot Buzz Aldrin, now 88 – the second human to set foot on the lunar surface in 1969. Aldrin has always maintained he spotted a UFO on the way to the moon, saying: “There was something out there that was close enough to be observed, sort of L-shaped.” BioAcoustic’s Sharry Edwards said tests reveal Aldrin is sure he saw the UFO even though his logical mind “cannot explain it”. Apollo 15 pilot Al Worden, 86, stunned Good Morning Britain viewers when he claimed to have seen extra-terrestrials. He believes we are all descended from ancient aliens. Voice recordings of fellow Nasa pioneers Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper, both now dead, were also analysed. Apollo 14’s Mitchell claimed to have seen several UFOs, while Cooper actually described trying to chase a cluster of objects. The tests revealed both men believed they were telling the whole truth www.dailystar.co.uk/news/weird-news/694430/news-ufo-aliens-lie-detector-test-buzz-aldrin-astronauts

mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/04/aldrins-aliens-a-deeper-look-at-one-astronauts-famous-ufo-sighting/me thinks there's some backpeddling happening with this story... even Nick Pope is getting in on it... / just my opinion Nick Pope Verified account @nickpopemod Despite claims Buzz Aldrin and other astronauts passed lie detector tests about having seen UFOs, the truth seems to be that a New Age institute is using CVSA (computer voice stress analysis) on old interviews to infer astronaut belief in aliens. Many regard CVSA as pseudoscience Aldrin’s Aliens: A Deeper Look at One Astronaut’s Famous ‘UFO’ Sightingby Micah Hanks / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/mhanks/April 9, 2018 Over the weekend, a number of tabloids were discussing a lie detector test which purportedly confirms astronaut Buzz Aldrin saw a UFO on his way to the moon in July 1969. On Sunday, the UK’s Daily Star reported on the story, borrowing from earlier reports in which the Apollo 11 astronaut addressed something unusual he and fellow astronauts Neil Armstrong and Michael Collins observed while en route to the moon. “There was something out there that was close enough to be observed, sort of L-shaped,” Aldrin was quoted saying. The story was quickly picked up and re-written by other news outlets, some of which elaborated on sightings of unusual things seen by Aldrin, and other astronauts over the years. The focus of the story had not been UFOs, however, so much as a study which purportedly “confirmed” what Aldrin and other astronauts had claimed to see. According to The Star, an Albany, Ohio-based company called The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology “carried out complex computer analyses of the astronauts’ voice patterns as they told of their close encounters.” “Although the technology is still top-secret,” The Star reported, “these studies are claimed to be more reliable than current lie detector tests, and could soon replace those used by the FBI and police.” Little else was said about the Albany-based company where the study was carried out, apart from the fact that astronauts Al Worden, as well as Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper, participated. It is noteworthy that Mitchell passed away in February 2016, and Cooper in October 2004, indicating that the lie detector tests in question must have occurred at least 14 years ago; strangely, the tabloids are only now picking up on this story (Update: Newsweek commented on the story shortly after publication of this article, referring to voice recordings which were tested, rather than the actual voices of the astronauts; if nothing else, this would allow for a more recent, posthumous testing of Cooper and Mitchell’s voices to have been possible). Looking for further details about the Institute of BioAcoustic Biology online first brings up a Facebook page associated with the company, which describes its endeavors as follows: “The research being conducted by the Institute of BioAcoustic Biology is on the forefront of energy medicine; creating the doorway to our next dimension of health revolution. In addition, the techniques hold promise in answering questions about how our universe was formed, and how our aging and perception of time can be monitored using frequency.” Admittedly, I share an interest in subjects like cosmology and human perception of time too, although the wording of the company’s mission statement above seems a little odd (pseudoscientific is another way of putting it). From the Facebook page, a link to the company’s website leads to a page where URL links to everything from aura-color readers, to Mike Adam’s “Health Ranger” website can be found. Needless to say, links and associations like these would be enough to cause many to reconsider whether the studies involving Buzz Aldrin and others were indeed “more reliable than current lie detector test,” as The Star reported, let alone whether they might “soon replace those used by the FBI and police.” It might also explain why there hasn’t been much said about them until now. Our intent isn’t to pass judgment here, so all discussion of the veracity of “top-secret” studies in acoustic biology aside, Aldrin has claimed many times that he and the Apollo 11 crew observed something while en route to the moon. The question remains as to what, precisely, that was. In 2012, I wrote about the claims which appeared in writer Jay Barbree’s book Neil Armstrong: A Life of Flight, where the author said he was told by a confidential source that what the astronauts saw was sunlight reflecting off “a top-secret spy satellite” as it tumbled out of control. According to Barbree’s account, “The only UFO Apollo 11’s astronauts were seeing as Neil had suspected had been built here on Earth — one they could not identify… and when I told him, he laughed and said, ‘Well, what the hell, isn’t that what a UFO is — an unidentified flying object?’” The only issue with this explanation is that apparently neither Barbree, nor his “secret” source, bothered to validate the information. As pointed out to me in 2012 by space journalist and historian Jim Oberg, “Barbree’s story is way off base, he relied on an old memory of Armstrong’s instead of checking with actual mission records that show the encounter was 212,000 miles out, nowhere near the geosynchronous arc (24,000 miles) where the spy satellites lurked. He wanted to tie in an unrelated juicy rumor (a correct one) with his Armstrong biography, and didn’t take basic validation steps.” In other words, while the spy satellite explanation is both juicier, and seems more down-to-earth than the alien spacecraft theory, it remains equally unlikely on further inquiry. At the end of the day, we still don’t know exactly what it was Aldrin and his crew observed, although Aldrin himself has suggested in the past that it may have been a discarded rocket panel from their own vessel, and that “it was not an alien.” We also have no confirmation as to whether experimental bio-acoustic technologies are really any better than a standard polygraph test at validating his experiences. Hence, Buzz Aldrin’s UFO encounter remains an interesting case, but certainly not conclusive evidence of aliens. mysteriousuniverse.org/2018/04/aldrins-aliens-a-deeper-look-at-one-astronauts-famous-ufo-sighting/

However.......The Story Claiming Buzz Aldrin Saw Aliens in Space Is Utter NonsenseBy Rafi Letzter, Staff Writer April 9, 2018
A viral story that's making the rounds online claims Buzz Aldrin, the famous astronaut who traveled with Neil Armstrong to the moon aboard Apollo 11, somehow proved via a lie-detector test to have seen a UFO in outer space. Let's be very clear here: This is flat-out wrong.
Here's why.
First, the news reports misrepresent what Aldrin actually said. In a Reddit comment three years ago, Aldrin said that, while he did see something shiny out the window in space, he believes it was the sun reflecting off one of four discarded panels from his own spacecraft.
Second, it's part of a report, published in the Daily Star Sunday (April 8), that says astronauts "Aldrin, Al Worden, Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper all took part in the study."
This is impossible.
The "study" in this case refers to some ill-defined lie-detector test designed to prove that these men had seen UFOs and were "completely convinced" that signs of alien life were genuine, undertaken under "laboratory conditions."
This is nonsense for several reasons, but the most salient of them, as The Independent pointed out, is that both Mitchell and Cooper are dead. Cooper has been dead for nearly 14 years. They absolutely did not "take part" in any recent study.
What actually happened is that a company called The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology released some Microsoft Word documents claiming to distinguish some deeper truth from pre-existing audio recordings of the astronauts. The documents, which the company later sent to Live Science, claim to be the results of computer analysis, but that's somewhat doubtful. Here's a sample from the "vocal profile" of Aldrin:
"Aldrin believes what he is saying emotionally but has doubts intellectually. His ego, on a highly spiritual level, is solidly involved. He has a firm belief in what he saw but logical awareness that he cannot explain what he saw; therefore he thinks he should be doubted. His gut level emotions and system of integrity is well grounded with the exception that he has some issues around people asking too much of him and expecting him to take care of things for them. For the benefit of the people, he wants his statements about his seeing a UFO to be believed."
Again, not only does this directly contradict what Aldrin has actually said on the matter, but it doesn't remotely resemble a computer analysis of any kind.
And this is where the third problem with the Star's report comes in: It's scientifically indefensible.
Even true lie-detector tests simply do not have scientific validity. The National Research Council's sweeping 2003 report on the matter states, "Almost a century of research in scientific psychology and physiology provides little basis for the expectation that a polygraph test could have extremely high accuracy."
(There have been more recent, Department of Homeland Security-funded efforts to develop tools for lie detection and predicting intent from videos, but so far they haven't panned out.)
And the "test" performed in the viral story appears not to have been a true lie-detector test at all. Instead, it appears to be some sort of effort to discern truthfulness and intent from audio of the astronauts speaking, performed by a company with a website mostly devoted to selling "cures" for various health problems and making claims about various famous figures in the news. (When Live Science emailed the company requesting the astronaut documents, the response included documents on other famous figures, including one predicting that Harvey Weinstein will "fake suicide and disappear.")
There's just no reason to believe this company has the ability to discern truth from recordings of people's voices. While bioacoustics is a real area of scientific inquiry, it simply doesn't answer questions like "Is this person lying?" Instead, it answers questions about what sounds animals make, how they make them and when they make them.
The Institute of BioAcoustic Biology appears to be a for-profit company selling pseudoscientific cures for various health issues, with testimonials from people claiming physical ailments have been lifted after listening to custom sets of tones. The company has never published in Bioacoustics, the only international and peer-reviewed journal on the subject, and sources none of its scientific claims in actual science publications.
Here's an excerpt from the company's mission statement:
"As a bridge between ancient ideas of sound healing and the futuristic, Star Trek, protocols that the institute provides, it is now possible to reverse diseases and traumas previously thought to be incurable, to reveal the secrets of our true nature, to enhance our lives, to predict what may be our fate through the frequencies of our voice."
A reasonable person might conclude that the Aldrin claims, seeming to stem from the Daily Star report, are an effort to garner media attention for the company.
In fact, Live Science worried that even debunking the company's claims would throw fuel on the pseudoscience fire. But we decided to write this article because there is, in the end, value in clarifying the science, or lack thereof.
Aldrin has been very clear about what he believes he saw in outer space, and Live Science sees no reason to doubt him.

alien-ufo-sightings.com/2013/07/were-us-astronauts-ordered-not-to-report-ufos-aliens/ Were US Astronauts Ordered Not To Report UFOs & Aliens? By Douglas Herman Posted On July 14, 2013 “At no time, when the astronauts were in space were they alone: there was a constant surveillance by UFOs.” – Scott Carpenter Buzz Aldrin is a brilliant man. Not simply remarkable for his intellect but a deeply spiritual man. Long since retired, Colonel Aldrin now orbits the innermost dimensions of his mind, a secretive universe as deep and mysterious as the far reaches of the moon. As a young airman, my path took me into a close encounter with Colonel Aldrin, more than 30 years ago. As a chauffeur with a radio-operated staff car, I served at Lackland AFB when Colonel Aldrin was undergoing a series of tests there. One afternoon my radio crackled that colonel Aldrin would need a ride to Wilford Hall, the large base hospital. Sadly my car wasn’t chosen. I’ve often wondered since then whether the “nervous breakdown’ this remarkable astronaut suffered was due to the government pressure or not. I think it was. Why did Colonel Aldrin suffer a “nervous breakdown’ at that time? The weight of sudden celebrity, certainly. Deification by the adoring press and masses. But there was something more. According to Fred Steckling, author of the book, We Discovered Alien Bases on the Moon II, Aldrin might have wanted to proclaim the truth of what he saw. Very likely, Pentagon and White House officials, fearful as always, would have cajoled, convinced or threatened him not to do so. According to Steckling:“The following list of facts I have learned from several individuals who are working or who have worked or been linked with NASA in some way over the years. For obvious reasons I will not now use their real names. The list below represents some of the information from three people: one is currently working BUY ON AMAZONin DOD missions for NASA; another started working with NASA & DOD when JSC (Johnson Space Center) was built. The third is a scientist who has worked at NASA and other facilities(and with) Edward Teller.’ There are buildings on the Moon. There is mining equipment on the Moon. Photos, NASA photos, do exist which clearly show both of these. Hundreds, but probably thousands, of NASA photos have been tampered with. Specifically, by careful use of an airbrush, flying saucers and other UFOs can be removed, and then the photo is released to the public and/or press. Film taken by astronauts clearly show UFOs, IFOs, Alien Vehicles, etc. The NSA screens all photos before release to the public. Everything that NASA has launched has been closely monitored by at least one ‘alien’ culture. NASA knew about ‘alien’ activity on the Moon before Armstrong, Aldrin, and Collins ever set foot on it. Edwin Aldrin at one point found evidence that we were NOT THE FIRST to arrive on the moon. After first seeing and then taking photographs of footprints in the lunar soil (Aldrin) then saw the beings that made the footprints (the report and transcripts of conversations between the astronauts were not clear if Aldrin had physical and/or mental contact with the entities). “Alien Vehicles flew within 50 feet of a U.S. space vehicle for one full Earth orbit and then the AV departed; again while Aldrin was present. ‘Buzz’ Aldrin had a nervous breakdown because of these events and the pressure not to talk. There have been 22 deaths (many ‘suicides’) at JSC in Houston. No astronaut who has seen AVs or ETs is allowed to talk about it, even amongst themselves. If they do and are caught they may be fined, publicly humiliated, imprisoned, or have all pensions and future salaries taken away.'(my emphasis) How much of the above account is fictional and how much fact? Only those who went to the moon and back know for certain. There are many second-hand accounts and alleged conversations, (Google UFO Sightings by Astronauts) where both Aldrin and Armstrong state, in no uncertain terms, they saw huge ships and other signs of alien occupation of the moon. Return to Earth, Aldrin’s autobiography, tells of his struggle with depression and alcoholism following his long and dedicated USAF and NASA career. Did NASA, CIA and the Pentagon compel Colonel Aldrin (and every other astronaut) to conceal what they saw on the moon? How much did this contribute to Aldrin’s mental problems? Some time ago the Science Channel aired a program called “First on the Moon: The Untold Story.’ One segment described a UFO encounter that Apollo 11 astronauts witnessed during flight to the moon. Aldrin spoke of something he saw. ‘To the best of my knowledge, this is the first time that Buzz Aldrin, an Apollo 11 astronaut, had ever publicly recounted any UFO experience associated with the Apollo 11 moon mission,’ wrote Dave Stone. Buzz Aldrin remarked, “There was something out there that, uh, was close enough to be observed and what could it be?…Mike (Collins) decided he thought he could see it in the telescope and he was able to do that and when it was in one position, that had a series of ellipses, but when you made it real sharp it was sort of L shaped.’ “NASA knew very little about, um, the object reported by the Apollo 11 crew. It was obviously an unidentified flying object,’ said Senior NASA scientist, Dr. David Baker. “But such objects were not uncommon and the history of even earth orbit space flights going back over the previous years indicated that SEVERAL CREWS SAW OBJECTS” (emphasis mine). “Now, obviously, the three of us were not going to blurt out, ‘Hey Houston we got something moving along side of us and we don’t know what it is,’ observed Aldrin. “We weren’t about to do that, cause we know that those transmissions would be heard by all sorts of people and who knows what somebody would have demanded that we turn back because of Aliens or whatever the reason is, so we didn’t do that but we did decide we’d just cautiously ask Houston where, how far away was the S-IVB?’ The S-IVB served as the third stage on the Saturn V and second stage on the Saturn IB. It had one J-2 engine. For lunar mission it was used twice: first for the orbit insertion after second stage cutoff, and then for the trans lunar injection (TLI). Now NASA reported the separated stage 6,000 miles behind. Obviously they didn’t detect any UFO. Aldrin replied: “And a few moments we decided that after a while of watching it (UFO), it was time to go to sleep and not to talk about it anymore until we came back and (went through) debriefing.” Perhaps one day, a living astronaut, a once-and-future hero, will come forward and frankly say what he saw and experienced. “One of these guys—sooner or later—has to go public,” observed one prominent UFO researcher.” This is a cosmic cover-up of the highest order.”NASA scientist, David Baker said, “There were a lot of people within the program who went off later and became convinced that UFOs existed and that led to some concern on NASA’s part where they got the agreement of the crew never to publicly talk about these things for fear of ridicule.” CONTINUE READING: alien-ufo-sightings.com/2013/07/were-us-astronauts-ordered-not-to-report-ufos-aliens/

www.reportingthetruth.com/apollo-15-astronaut-says-humans-are-descendants-of-ancient-aliens/ Al Worden, Apollo 15, Astronaut Says Humans Are Descendants Of Ancient AliensJuly 12, 2018 The idea that Ancient Aliens created the human race has fascinated countless authors and researchers for decades. And while mainstream science believes this is just absurd, countless pieces of evidence have been found across the globe that back up the ancient alien theory. Perhaps the most important connection between the rise of civilization and alien beings can be found in history, tucked away in ancient manuscripts and clay tablets that have survived for thousands of years. Example of this is the Ancient Sumerian King list, which describes kings who ruled over Earth for a total of 241,200 years since the original kingship had ‘descended from heaven.’ This ancient list is written in Ancient Sumerian lists numerous generations of Kings that ruled over Ancient Sumer, detailing their length and location of kingships. But mainstream scholars believe not everything written down on the Sumerian King list is real, saying that the Sumerian King list is a mixture of prehistorical and mythological accounts which speaks of Gods that ruled over the land enjoying implausibly lengthy reigns. If we travel halfway around the world, all the way from Ancient Mesopotamia to the Americas we will find how the sacred book of the ancient Maya, the Popol Vuh describes the beings that created mankind. The creators of our race in the Popol Vuh are referred to as “the Creator, the Former, the Dominator, the Feathered-Serpent, they-who-engender, they-who-give-being, hovered over the water as a dawning light.” And while these above mentioned ancient texts are extraordinary, perhaps, even more, are the countless artifacts that have been found scattered across the globe depicting beings eerily similar to modern-day astronauts. And while speaking of astronauts, Al Worden, former astronaut and member of the Apollo 15 mission had something fascinating to say about alien life, while speaking in an interview with Good Morning Britain. Al Worden was an American astronaut and engineer who was the Command Module Pilot for the Apollo 15 lunar mission in 1971. He is one of only 24 people to have flown to the Moon. The former astronaut has also been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the “Most isolated human being” during his time alone in the Command Module Endeavour. While Speaking to Good Morning Britain, Al Worden, the astronaut who flew around the moon 75 times, spending six days in orbit around the moon, was asked if he believed aliens were real. The answer probably surprised everyone watching the interview. The former Apollo 15 member said that not only are aliens real, but they came to Earth in the distant and created our civilization, and if we wanted to look for evidence, all we had to do was look at ancient Sumerian literature. Al Worden, former astronaut and the first person to take a space walk, gave an interview today to describe his view of the history of mankind. He believes that the people are descended from an extra-Iridic race related to ancient Sumerians. www.reportingthetruth.com/apollo-15-astronaut-says-humans-are-descendants-of-ancient-aliens/ Al Worden: The Man Who Flew Around the Moon 75 Times | Good Morning Britain Al Worden, Apollo 15 Astronaut, joins Good Morning Britain to talk about the incredible journey which saw him orbit the moon for six days. mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/08/another-apollo-11-astronaut-gives-his-opinion-on-life-outside-earth/ Another Apollo 11 Astronaut Gives His Opinion On “Life Outside Earth”by Jocelyne LeBlanc / mysteriousuniverse.org/author/jleblanc/August 31, 2019 In an online chat with Apollo 11 astronaut Michael Collins, one Twitter user asked him, “Do you believe in life outside Earth?” and he simply replied, “Yes”. So, does that mean that he believes that microorganisms may live deep within layers of ice on far away planets, or does he believe that actual aliens really do exist? It’s a pretty vague answer that raises even more questions on what he believes in and what the astronauts may have witnessed while they were on the moon. Back in 1969 when Collins, Neil Armstrong, and Buzz Aldrin conducted the first ever manned moon landing, there was a very odd exchange between the Apollo 11 crew and Mission Control. On the third day, Armstrong witnessed an unexplained object moving parallel to them, but it was brushed off as just the third stage of the Saturn-V rocket that had brought them into space. When Armstrong asked Mission Control, “Do you have any idea where the S-IVB is with respect to us?” they responded with, “The S-IVB is about 6,000 nautical miles from you now. Over.” Many people believe that what the crew witnessed was actually a UFO. Michael Collins And while Collins’ response on whether he believes life exists outside of Earth was a simple one-worded answer, he isn’t the first Apollo 11 astronaut to give his opinion on other worldly topics. Buzz Aldrin and three other astronauts (Al Worden, Edgar Mitchell and Gordon Cooper) took part in a study where they all passed lie detector tests when asked about their experiences with UFOs. Aldrin has stated many times that he witnessed a UFO following them while he, Collins, and Armstrong were on their way to the moon. He stated, “There was something out there that was close enough to be observed, sort of L-shaped.” Buzz Aldrin And while Neil Armstrong never publicly discussed any interest in aliens, a letter that had been discovered suggests that he was in fact fascinated by UFOs and that he even invited a UFO expert to join him for dinner – where they more than likely discussed the topic of extraterrestrials. Neil Armstrong Another interesting fact about Armstrong is that he may have possibly been contacted by the “Men in Black”. In one portion of the 18-page FBI file on Armstrong, it stated that two “well-dressed” men walked into an Ohio Town Hall and asked several very personal questions about the astronaut, such as his address, how many children he had, and which restaurants he ate at. Seems a little suspicious if you ask me… mysteriousuniverse.org/2019/08/another-apollo-11-astronaut-gives-his-opinion-on-life-outside-earth/

All we have to do is wait it out. 😊
I’m convinced that Edgar Mitchell was heavily involved in this subject (more than speculated) and we will be free to view his views sooner than hoped.

www.ufoinsight.com/the-astronaut-ufo-encounters-a-case-study/ The Astronaut UFO Encounters – A Case Study March 24, 2019 Written by: Marcus Lowth There is a plethora of UFO sightings witnessed from the firm grounds of our planet. So, given the general assumption that these strange aerial anomalies hail from elsewhere in the Universe, it would be within reason that sightings of these mysterious crafts should also be witnessed by those who have spent time in the great beyond of outer space. The fact is, there is an equal plethora of accounts from such people – from the American astronauts of the Apollo missions and the Soviet Cosmonaut missions at the height of the Cold War, to the International operations that have eventually resulted in the construction and ongoing experiments on board the International Space Station – all of whom have witnessed some very bizarre phenomena. Astronaut UFO There is no doubt that some, perhaps most, of these sightings will have “rational” explanations. Indeed, such explanations have been put forward for many of the better-known claims. However, there is also a persistent rumbling of such claims being “removed” from official statements before they reach the public arena. And as we highlighted in our case study on the Moon missions, astronauts were instructed “not to talk about” anything strange they might see. Perhaps, before we examine some of these sightings and claims, it is worth considering the words of astronaut, Scott Carpenter who would state: At no time when the astronauts were in space were they alone. There was a constant surveillance by UFOs! And given that humanity – at least officially and to the best knowledge of the historical record – has only ventured as far as the Earth’s moon, Lunar, that would suggest quite an extent of activity. What, then, might lay beyond in the further reaches of our solar system? And then out further still into the enticing blackness of the Universe itself? www.cnn.com/2020/01/06/uk/helen-sharman-aliens-exist-scli-scn-gbr-intl/index.html Aliens definitely exist and they could be living among us on Earth, says Britain's first astronautBy Rob Picheta, CNN / Mon January 6, 2020 (CNN)Aliens definitely exist, Britain's first astronaut has said -- and it's possible they're living among us on Earth but have gone undetected so far. Helen Sharman, who visited the Soviet Mir space station in 1991, told the Observer newspaper on Sunday that "aliens exist, there's no two ways about it." "There are so many billions of stars out there in the universe that there must be all sorts of different forms of life," she went on. "Will they be like you and me, made up of carbon and nitrogen? Maybe not." Then, in a tantalizing theory that should probably make you very suspicious of your colleagues, Sharman added: "It's possible they're here right now and we simply can't see them." Sharman was the first of seven Britons to enter space. The chemist spent eight days as a researcher on the space mission when she was 27, making her one of the youngest people to enter orbit. NASA rovers are trawling Mars for evidence of past or present life forms, but humankind's endless fascination with extraterrestrial life forms has so far proved fruitless. Sharman is not the only person to speculate that we've had brushes with aliens, though. A former Pentagon official who led a secret government program to research potential UFOs, revealed in 2017, told CNN at the time that he believes there is evidence of alien life reaching Earth. Elsewhere in her interview, Sharman said there is "no greater beauty than looking at the Earth from up high." "I'll never forget the first time I saw it," she added. Sharman also discussed her frustration with observers defining her by her sex. "People often describe me as the first British woman in space, but I was actually the first British person. It's telling that we would otherwise assume it was a man," she said. "When Tim Peake went into space, some people simply forgot about me. A man going first would be the norm, so I'm thrilled that I got to upset that order." CNN has reached out to Sharman for comment. www.cnn.com/2020/01/06/uk/helen-sharman-aliens-exist-scli-scn-gbr-intl/index.html

The Cathedral of Salamanca is two churches joined together. One dates back to the 12th century and the other is from the 16th century. Over the years, tourists have turned their attention to one unique carving, posing the question of how someone already knew about modern-day astronauts. Some believed it to be evidence that time travel existed, with one writing: "Astronaut at Salamanca Cathedral: This statue is affirmed as absolute proof of time travel." Another now-deleted Facebook post read: "Experts have been unable to explain this statue, which was found in a church that was built in the 1600s, the statue appears to be showing a man wearing a modern astronaut suit, including air tubes and a helmet." While conspiracy theories were rife, it soon came to light that the astronaut was incorporated into the Ramos Gate during work on the cathedral in 1992 ahead of an exhibition for the religious foundation "Edades de Hombre" in 1993, according to Reuters Fact Check. The carving was carried out by Miguel Romero. It comes after people believe they spotted an iPhone in a 350-year-old painting. In one of Pieter de Hooch's paintings, a woman is sitting with a dog on her lap while a man is standing and holding what very much resembles an iPhone. The painting even left Apple’s CEO Tim Cook to question everything he thought he knew. At a 2016 press conference, he joked: "There was an iPhone in one of the paintings. It's tough to see but I swear it's there." www.msn.com/en-us/travel/news/astronaut-spotted-on-church-carving-dating-back-to-16th-century/ar-AA1cAhaN?ocid=msedgdhp&pc=U531&cvid=b6413557d2fb44ce865cdd23fc444e86&ei=10

Former NASA astronaut claims they didStory by By WALLA! TECH 7-8-2023 POV of an alien abduction experience. © (photo credit: Wikimedia Commons) Are aliens the one who prevented humanity from descending into a nuclear war? At least that's what a former NASA astronaut claims. Edgar Mitchell, who was part of the Apollo 14 mission to the moon, gained notoriety with the dissemination of various conspiracy theories since his return from the moon in 1971. Mitchell, the sixth man to set foot on the moon, was interviewed back in 2016, where he admitted to being convinced of the existence of aliens and extensively spoke about claims that aliens have visited Earth. In that conversation with the Daily Mirror, he raised the astonishing claim that aliens were responsible for preventing a nuclear war between the United States and the Soviet Union during the peak tension of the Cold War. Watch him talk about how aliens monitor usDuring that conversation, Mitchell also discussed the White Sands missile testing facility in New Mexico. He said, "White Sands was a testing ground for atomic weapons and that's what the extraterrestrials were interested in. They wanted to know about our military capabilities. My conversations with people in the military and intelligence community showed that the extraterrestrials were attempting to keep us from going to war and help us achieve peace on Earth." White Sands Missile Range is where the first atomic bomb was detonated in 1945 and Mitchell claimed that the officers there told him that aliens were disabling missiles that flew above the site. As you can expect, these claims did not pass unnoticed. Nigel Watson, a UFO expert, said at the time to IFL Science, "In my view, it's just another case of UFO fantasies and speculations. Trying to get at the facts is like herding cats." Nick Pope, a former senior official in the British Defense Ministry who investigated UFOs, also addressed Mitchell's claims. "Edgar is a very respected individual and it was an honor to meet him. However, most of the information he has is second-hand and not experienced firsthand. While he had access to government and military documents, he doesn't reveal his sources, so we can't be entirely sure about what he says." Why are they doing this? The Canadian Defense Minister has answersThis is not the first time allegations have been made that aliens neutralize nuclear weapons and show an interest in military bases. Bob Jacobs, a former US Air Force lieutenant, gave an interview to Larry King in 2008, where he claimed that during nuclear missile tests in the 1960s, a large object appeared in the sky, causing great confusion in the US military, which then instructed "never to speak of this incident again." This claim was also echoed by Stephen Bassett, the founder of Paradigm Research Group, who has been trying for years to persuade the US government to investigate the disclose the "truth" about extraterrestrials and UFOs. US astronaut on seeing a UFO fleet, landing footage & sending letter to the UN about the phenomenonEyes On Cinema @realeoc presents: Eyes On UFOs Jun 26, 2022 0:00 UFOs over Germany, 1951. 0:35 UFO landing at Edwards AFB, May 3, 1957. 3:04 Gordon Cooper's letter to the United Nations, November 9, 1978: "Ambassador Griffith Mission of Grenada to the United Nations 866 Second Avenue Suite 502 New York, New York 10017
Dear Ambassador Griffith,
I wanted to convey to you my views on our extra-terrestrial visitors popularly referred to as "UFO's", and suggest what might be done to properly deal with them.
I believe that these extra-terrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets, which obviously are a little more technically advanced than we are here on earth. I feel that we need to have a top level, coordinated program to scientifically collect and analyze data from all over earth concerning any type of encounter, and to determine how best to interface with these visitors in a friendly fashion. We my first have to show them that we have learned to resolve our problems by peaceful means, rather than warfare, before we are accepted as fully qualified universal team members. This acceptance would have tremendous possibilities of advancing our world in all areas. Certainly then it would seem that the UN has a vested interest in handling this subject properly and expeditiously.
I should point out that I am not an experienced UFO professional researcher. I have not yet had the privilege of flying a UFO, nor of meeting the crew of one. I do feel that I am somewhat qualified to discuss them since I have been into the fringes of the vast areas in which they travel. Also, I did have occasion in 1951 to have two days of observation of many flights of them, of different sizes, flying in fighter formation, generally from east to west over Europe. They were at a higher altitude than we could reach with our jet fighters of that time.
I would also like to point out that most astronauts are very reluctant to even discuss UFO's due to the great numbers of people who have indiscriminately sold fake stories and forged documents abusing their names and reputations without hesitation. Those few astronauts who have continued to have a participation in the UFO field have had to do so very cautiously. There are several of us who do believe in UFO's and who have had occasion to see a UFO on the ground, or from an airplane. There was only one occasion from space which may have been a UFO.
If the UN agrees to pursue this project, and to lend their credibility to it, perhaps many more well qualified people will agree to step forth and provide help and information.
I am looking forward to seeing you soon.
Sincerely,
L. Gordon Cooper Col. USAF (ket) Astronaut "
