Maybe the aliens wanted us here so they could read our silly post. I can see them mocking us right now. We are all running around about to pull our hair out trying to figure them out. and some of our speculations are killing them. lol

One can only imagine with my name being "clifford" that ive been called the "big red dog",lol. I have had sleep paralysis one time in my life before that I can remember, and it wasnt pleasant . I didnt like that feeling, it was different to say the least. Theres a night and day difference between abduction and sleep paralysis, at least imo . I had to honestly ask myself if what happened during the encounter that night if there was a link between the two, and the answer is no.

I'm glad you were able to note the difference Cliff. The incident when I was 8 years old was very different from sleep paralysis, because I was wide awake. I'm certain of it. It was very vivid. That's probably what you mean, right? Good. Maybe the sleep paralysis is just set aside by itself then, huh? Maybe I'm not being re-visited after all... ...Maybe it was just a one time thing... I like this idea better. ;D ...Maybe the sleep paralysis is really unrelated... a completely different thing... a horse of a different color... or... perhaps it is a side effect of the anti-depressants I took while I was in high school. Maybe those pills screwed up my brain chemicals... or... Could be any number of things... ~hugs~

I think it is a possibility that the sleep paralysis could be entirely different from the abduction phenomenon. Or it could be that the abductors are using the sleep paralysis that people already experience as a way to control them during the abductions. (I think somebody already said that but it sounds good

I had like a two hour phone conversation with one of my best friends last night. She was telling me about a lot of crazy things that are going on in her life. One of the crazy things she mentioned was that her psychologist seems to think she has a REM sleep disturbance and it is causing her anxiety.
I told her about my sleep problems. She knew I was a sleep-walker before, but she didn't know about the sleep paralysis. "Hmmm..." she said, "Maybe you should go to a sleep disorder clinic. You have health insurance now, right?"
"Yea..." I said, "But there's nothing they can do about it. They'll say, 'Oh you have sleep paralysis. There's nothing we can do about it.' "
She said "Maybe they can put you on medications to prevent it or something..."
I said, "I don't think so..."
She told me that REM sleep disturbances have been studied by psychologists and psychiatrists a lot lately and they have found a lot of links between them and other brain problems like... migraines for example. I thought that was interesting. She said, "I'm going to go do it because I really want to see what is going on in my brain, I think that would be kinda cool! I mean, at the very least they might learn something from you because you have both sleep walking and sleep paralysis..."
So now, I'm debating over whether or not I should go and be "studied"...
Hmmm...

So you are going to volunteer to be a Guinea human? Are they going to pay you for this once in a lifetime opportunity?

From webmd.com: www.webmd.com/a-to-z-guides/features/sleep-paralysis-demon-in-the-bedroomIt's funny really. All of these doctors and scientists doing research on this sleep disorder seem to only know just as much about it as I do having experienced it many times. "Don't sleep on your back" these scientists and doctors say. Really? I had already figured that out on my own. I told my ex fiance that when I sleep on my back I have nightmares. Only when I sleep on my back I said. He told me sometimes I would roll over onto my back during sleep and he would always roll me over onto my side whenever I did that to keep me from having nightmares... if he saw me do it that is. That could explain why I only had it after he had left for work or to run errands... he was my nightmare preventer hehehe... My roommate in college and I were talking about it. I told her I had nightmares when I fell asleep on my back. She told me (she's half Alaska Native by the way) that her mother used to go into her and her sister's bedroom at night and check to make sure they weren't sleeping on their backs. If they were, she would roll them over. The reason was because that a lot of Alaska Native peoples believe that when you are asleep on your back, demons can enter your body through your mouth. I just remembered that for some reason and thought I should share it. I did learn something new from another article about this subject on webmd. I learned last night that most people report having it begin during their teenage years. The first real incident of sleep paralysis I remember having was when I was about 17 or 18 years old right after my sister moved out of our parents' house. ...but an eight year old having sleep paralysis? Hmmmm......
