As far as I know he's still off the radio Casper..it had effected just his voice.

Maybe this stroke was an act of God. I would think that making a radio announcer and preacher lose his voice is a pretty fitting punishment. That, plus the humiliation he got from being proven wrong (again : should teach him to put a lid on his arrogance.

Knowing Harold as we do, I suspect he will probably get a TV show and learn sign language so he can continue to scare the heck out of people.

Why would anybody watch Harold when he has already been wrong a hundred times? Are people that stupid? Wait, don't answer that. I already know. If Harold can be a nut I guess so can a bunch of people listening to him.

I think it goes beyond Harold Casper. People are afraid. Worried about Armageddon and the possible horrors of the world exploding out from under them because some big comet drives into us. They are just frightened people worried about their children and terrified they might live to see them die some horrible death in front of them. Someone like Harold offers a much more gentle solution. Jesus is going to come down here and take with him the righteous and the deserving. Well they can look forward to that..no horrible deaths..lets hear it for Harold. I think he may confuse some things tho. Somewhere in that good book it says that a wealthy man has as much chance of reaching heaven as does a camel passing through the eye of a needle. In other words...Harold could have a problem..he's become a millionaire from the fruits of his labor. Had the 'rapture' happened he might have been standing there watching everyone else go...but I don't think Harold actually meant harm. I think he was just foolish enough to think he had deciphered something in the bible that God said couldn't be deciphered. Not stupid people..just very very frightened ones I think.

Have you ever wondered why intelligent and educated people are sometimes afraid of an eventual 'divine' punishment?
Would any of you subdue any of your children to prolonged – let alone continuous- punishment or condemnation?

Intelligence aside...my personal wonderment is that people who profess to love and have faith in God..would bargain with the devil himself..to KNOW rather than abide in that faith. I've always said..that the reason I know God loves me..is because of the amazing, wonderful children he gave me. Why would he turn around and condemn them? I feel sorry for Harold now..he not only suffers the let down of hurting his people..but the personal dissapointment of his own.

I personally don't think that God condemns anybody. I think people do it to themselves. Whatever energy and emotions we have in this world we take with us into the next. If somebody is full of love and happiness than they are in heaven, even here on Earth. If somebody else is consumed with anger, hatred and jealousy than they are creating their own hell with their own dark emotions. We have the free will to choose our own destinies and sometimes we end up condemning ourselves.

It seems that people forgot that today (October 21) was supposed to have been the end of the world. It's a good thing they did too. I would have hated to have woken up this morning and discovered that the world had ended. That would have sucked.

Perhaps at Harolds age he figured he was close enough to God to act in his interests. Where the bible says that no man will know the hour..Harold just inserted "except Harold".

From what I read he is no longer talking on the radio but other people are continuing the radio broadcasts. Harold has been sending out emails about once a week still warning of the end of the world...which was supposed to happen yesterday and apparently didn't. I bet he still hasn't learned his lesson.

Harold Camping Apologizes For Faulty Rapture Predictions And Retires, Report States www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/11/01/harold-camping-apologizes-rapture-predictions_n_1069520.htmlIt seems that Harold "Doomsday" Camping has finally thrown in the towel. After striking out three times with his doomsday predictions he is now planning to retire. The fact that he recently had a stroke that causes his speach to be slurred probably had something to do with it. I'm sure he won't be too disappointed that his predictions didn't come true though. His church reportedly raised more than 80 million dollars over the past decade. That should be enough to last him until the world does come to an end. There is an article and a video if you click on the link.

I'll tell Harold to make another doomsday prediction for that date...that way we know for sure it won't come true.
