I only listen to one artist most of the time. On facebook I put what do I talk about the most on my wall Gene Vincent or Ufos. They all said Gene Vincent. My lifetime girlfriend posted Ha! you don't know her I would say it is a draw on both topics.. ;D Auntym sends me a Gene Vincent video every year on my birthday Here is one with Elvis's Jordaniers backing Gene. I found this on youtube. This is the BEST fan video of my favorite song EVER MADE!
Yes... it's Rammstein.... Hard German Rock... but if you watch the artist's drawings of the song... it will explain the lyrics perfectly so that anyone who speaks any language can understand it.
It is exactly the way I visualize it whenever I listen to it... exactly. Basically, a child pretends to die because he wants to be alone. He is buried because everyone thinks he's dead... and this begins the story, based on an old German fairy tale.
Unlike most Rammstein songs, this one has a happy ending...

Thats funny..I'm really eclectic (like a lot of stuff) when it comes to music but the oddest I think is the Rammstein song DuHast that I really really like. It's the drummer. Drummers make or break music and that song is very pulse pounding It's one that HAS to be played loud with the bass up. I love Neil Diamond too Auntie I think I have everything he ever did. Lately though..I listen to a lot of binaural tones..my memory is so much sharper and I can meditate where before I just got tangled up in my thoughts. I also think singing bowls are pretty cool. There is a lot to healing music ..in my opinion

Yea... Rammstein are all very talented. The lead singer, Till Lindemann, writes his own lyrics. His mother was a journalist, his father was a poet who it is rumored committed suicide after being an alcoholic for a long time. Till is a very smart man and is famous for Shakesperian-like plays on words... only in German rather than English. He does have a deep bass voice, which is unusual for a lead singer (most are tenors) but it's oddly fitting with the guitar riffs of Richard, the lead guitarist. Oh... and by the way, Till used to be a drummer in a different band before he was recruited to join Rammstein. Just thought I'd let you know Jo, in case you were interested.

Has there been music added to the forum? I hear a carnival beat with whistling, is that normal?

I really love most kinds of Music, I have seen it change down through the years.
Music has been an entertainment since the ancient world.. Wonder who the first composer was.?

One of my favorite songs from this band. Another one I listened to back in my teens.

My favorite tunes were the "epic" ones regarding subjects you would never associate with a specific genre (and certainly would never garner radio play). Most people would be surprised to read the lyrics and think that they belonged to a "heavy metal" song. The one below is by the metal band Exodus, and it deals with child abuse, and how it perpetuates itself from generation to generation...like father, like son. Don't listen to it unless you like your music heavy. If you are a musician (like lorelei), then I'll add that the riff starting at 4:58 is what makes this particular piece one of the more outstanding heavy metal efforts ever done, like Judas Priest's riff from Steeler (click here to listen to that one) did during the foundation of that musical movement.

This one will always remind me of my father. Words can never express what this song surely can.
And this one reminds me of some that are lost to me, so very far away.
