Or maybe cuz people are already scared by the thunder storm that makes the ghosts want to come out and scare people even more.

Alriiiight! Now we're talking. I couldn't find it anywhere. I didn't know I put in the experiences section. I never would have looked there. I thought it was with the ghost stuff. Now I can write some more of my ghost stories.

Hey! I should put that time I saw that ghost on here too! Does anybody know where that thread is? Knowing me I probably put in the ufo section or something. Can one of the moderators move it over here? Do we even have any moderators any more since auntyms is gone? Whos a moderator besides skywalker?

Spotless and Lorelei are still moderators. I'll see if I can find it when I get on my brand new shiny computer that actually works later on.

I don't think it will be as good as the original but I don't care. It's got ghosts in it so it has to be good.

Ok dude, I merged your thread about the ghost that you saw into this one. Now are you going to quit calling me an old man or do I have to bribe you with more moon pies?

That fish looks just like Casper the friendly ghost. I want a ghost fish! I'll put him in a aquarium so he can swim around and scare people all day. He can hang out with my swamp ghost gator if I ever find one.

If there's something strange in the neighborhood...who you gonna call? CASPER! If there's something weird and it don't look good...who you gonna call? CASPER!! Guess what movie I just watched for the third time? I'll give you a hint. It starts with ghost and ends with BUSTERS!! That movie was sooooo cool!! It had tons of ghosts in it and all of the old actors from the old movie made appearences in it too. My good buddy slimer was there and stay puff the marshmellow man was a giant balloon that fell on people and squished them. That movie was awesome!!! Of course it wasn't as good as the old ones cuz they will always be the best but it was still awesome!!!!!!! My favorite part was the little ghost hood ornament on the ghostbuster car. I have to get me one of those for my truck. That would be cool. Now I'm going to watch the movie again so if you see a ghost, who you gonna call? Call CASPER!!!!!! Cuz I aint afraid of no ghost.

My haunted house got flooded. My girlfriend called me Monday night and said the waters were rising and were going to flood my haunted house. I told her to make it stop but she said she couldn't. She said theres 4 feet of water in it now. She also said the new house was about to get flooded so she called her brothers and they came over and moved all the furniture. They put it up on cinder blocks so it would be above the water. It was mostly her furniture so of course they saved it. Did they save my stuff tho? Noooooo! My motorcycle is under water and my 4 wheeler got drowned and my boat is gone. Either someone stoled it or it floated away. Now I have no boat. They sure don't make girlfriends like they used. Worst of all tho is that my haunted house got flooded! Now all of my ghosts are gonna drown! Do ghosts know how to swim? I don't think I've ever heard of a swimming ghost. Except maybe for that one in japan or wherever when the sunami hit. That one looked like it was swimming. I don't know if my ghosts can swim. Oh well. I guess the important thing is that everybody got out ok and is safe. All that other stuff can be replaced but people can't. It's good that they are ok. My girlfriend is staying at her parents house until the waters go down and I can get the house cleaned up. I haven't even seen it yet. This stupid company I work for has me delivering relief supplies down to the flood victims. Ha! That's a laugh. I am a flood victim. I should be bringing these supplies to myself. Stupid company. They said I should get to go home on sunday so I can see how bad the houses are. They said the water is going down finally but it is still raining so it might go back up again. I hope it doesn't. There's a lot of other people whose houses got flooded too. The last thing we need is more rain.

Again, sorry about the flooding!
When I used to watch scary movies (with the kids), one of my favorites is "What Lies Beneath" with Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer. THAT has a "swimming ghost". I'd tell you more, but thats a movie worth watching again. IF there is such a thing, I actually think that "swimming ghosts" should be the most common. Pretty traumatic drowning; and lots of chances for THAT. Ooo, maybe thats another reason that I don't enjoy swimming in "dark water". I can't believe that we (as kids) used to swim under docks (and come up for air underneath) and such; playing hide-n-seek in the water?? Any crick was game for wading; didn't think twice about snakes; just watching for that mossy rock!
My old house did get the basement flooded once; 3 feet of water and ruined mainly storage. Took forever to get the water out of there, and mine was a small problem and we were able to keep it from happening again.

Good news! My boat came back! My neighbor was using it to help the people who were trapped in their houses. He brought it back today cuz the water has gone down. He also took all of the food out of my house to give to the other people. He said he would pay me for it but I told him it was ok. If I had been there I would have done the same thing. People should help each other when theres a crises. I got to check out my houses today also and it's not too bad. My new house only had about 10 inches of water in it so it didn't get destroyed. All the carpet will have to be replaced and the linoleum tiles in the kitchen and bathroom are peeling up. The wood trim around the bottom of the walls and the doors will need to be fixed also. That's not too bad tho. All the walls are made of cinder blocks so they should be ok too. All in all it's not to bad. Skywalker said he will come down next week and help me fix the house. We should be able to knock it out in no time. I just need to get all the mud off of everything. I got stuck in the mud when I pulled the truck into the yard. I forgot everything was muddy. I had to pull the truck out with my john deer tractor. It's a good thing my trusty john deer didn't get stuck. I don't know what I would have done then. I'm still not sure how my haunted house is. There's still a little bit of water around it. It's old and made out of wood so I don't know if it's damaged or not. I think it got flooded once before way back in the 1970s. I think that's why they moved out of it and built the new one. Hopefully it will be ok so my ghosts can keep having a place to live. They could always move into the new house nut I don't think they would like it as much cuz it's not as spooky. They are always welcome to tho.

I can't believe I forgot about the story my grandpa told me about Charlie Creeper and the swamp ghost. That was a swimming ghost. I forgot all about it until you told about the swimming ghost in that movie. It sounds like a cool movie. I'm gonna watch it! I never thought about ghosts from all the people who drowned either. I bet there's a bunch of them. Maybe the ghosts in my haunted house will be ok after all.

No lois I haven't seen it. I didn't know it was about ghosts but I'm definitely gonna see it now! Right after I watch the Ghostbusters a few dozen more times. In other news I found a snake in my living room! I was cleaning up all the mud from the flood and a snake started wiggling around on the carpet. My girlfriend started screaming bloody murder and ran out of the house. She wouldn't come back in until I got rid of it so I caught it and put it in a bucket. It must have crawled in the house to stay dry. It was a water moccasin. Since when do water moccasins need to stay dry? My girlfriend wanted me to kill it but I didn't cuz I don't want a ghost snake crawling around in my house so I thtrew it in the lake instead. I got all the carpet pulled up off the floor and the linoleum also and I finally got all the mud out of the house. Good grief did it stink. I had to spray it all out with a water hose so now the house is all wet again. Now I have to let it all dry out before we can put the new floor in. My haunted house is doing ok now too. I didn't see any snakes in it. The ghosts must have scared them all away. It had mud all over the floor too. I don't know where all that mud came from. I sprayed it out with the hose too. I think when it dries out I might put some water seal on the wood so it doesn't rot. I don't want my haunted house rotting away. Now I'm gonna go back to work for a few days to let everything dry out which might take a while because it is still raining a little bit. Maybe next week we can put the new floor in.

Sorry Casper to hear about all your property damage. It must be a hectic job cleaning it up. When things like this happen I wonder why people don't move. The first two blocks inward from shore On the Mississippi River in Cape Girardeau has been flooded so much that the building stink with decay and homes also. But they still live in them. When I would walk in this area I was totally sick . That was 20 years ago and it has been flooded almost all those years . Yet everything still stands. That Star Baptist Church was one such place . It went down this past year. That is the Church of the pastor who went out to the ufo Crash outside of town and was a witness to the ship and Aliens . Another thing the plummer was back yesterday to put some kind of exhaust flap on my kitchen sink I had never heard of suck a thing. We drink this water . He said a lot of older homes don't have it. New homes it is built into the walls where people cannot see the pipes . Well now I got pipes coming out of behind my kitchen sink going up to the ceiling along it for about three feet then going up stairs . He made a hole in the ceiling to put the pipe through and you will not believe what happen. It went into another secret room. He was running up and down the stairs in there apt then back over here to change the location of the pipe. We asked him what on earth is wrong now? He said I cannot put the pipe upstairs in this location. It was suppose to go into the FRONT bedroom closet but went behind it into another small room without any outlet. I just sat there dumb founded . We told him about the same type of thing was in the back bedroom . He keep shaking his head saying . "why on earth would someone do that?" Of course it is what we been asking ourselves. Maybe they were huge walk in closets at one time. I do know the size of the front closet and it is a walk in already. Go figure.

I still haven't got the new floor put in yet cuz I'm at work and the house is still all wet. It's taking forever for it to dry out. My girlfriend called and told me there is mold growing all over the floor. Yuk! I don't know how to get rid of mold. I might have to put some bleach on it or something. Or maybe there's some kind of mold remover or something. Does lysoll remove mold? I don't have a clue. My girlfriend said the house still stinks too from all the mud. How do you get rid of stinky mud smell? I told her to leave all the windows open and maybe that would help air it out. She was worried about stuff getting stolen but what kind of a stupid thief would still stuff that stinks like mud? I sure wouldn't. I hope it doesn't rain any more while the windows are open. My haunted house is doing better than the new house. It already got aired out cuz it doesn't have any windows. It still stinks a little bit but there's no mold anywhere. I wonder why mold got into the new house but not the old one? Maybe the ghosts scared it away.

Pardon me, but doesn't the whole area stink like mud?
You've got to air out a house, but I think you said that your other house has no windows? Huh?

(I had to go back and look for what you said about the windows. 🙂)
Also, when you reference the "new house", is it "new" to you, or actually built later than your "haunted house"?
There are products that you can buy at places like Home Depot that fight off household mold. If your girlfriend and yourself do any "repairs" involving mold, please wear masks and other protective gear!
From experience, some surface molds that have not penetrated the wood, can be painted over with something like "kilz". This paint stinks really bad; a chemical smell, so doing small areas is best. You may want to wait and see if the mold still "grows" through the painted area.
I am so sorry for you! And getting just a bit more concerned for your girlfriend! Weeks fly by, and I assume that she lives there, breathing this stuff, besides tackling the "stuff"!
Oh man, just thinking what people have to go thru after a flood, even if it didn't cover anything else but the floor...... I'm glad you still have nice things that could be stolen!?
Casper, you just better somehow take some time off work to take care of this mold issue . . . Having two houses is quite an investment!

Casper has two houses on his property. One is "new" as in built back in the 1980s or so. That's the one he lives in. The old "haunted house" that he talks about was built back in the 1800s and is abandoned which is why it has no windows. The old house is made of wood and the newer one is made of concrete blocks.
I'm going to go down there and help him get everything fixed in a week or two when it all dries out.

My cousin went in and sprayed some chemicles on it that got rid of it. I don't know what it was but it must have been some powerful stuff cuz it took the paint right off the walls wherever it touched! That's ok tho cuz it needs to be repainted anyways. My girlfriend isn't living there right now. She's staying with her parents until I can get the floors fixed and the house cleaned up. I don't want her to have to live in a stinky house. We're almost ready to fix it. I think next week we can start working on it and hopefully get it done by next weekend. Then we can move all the stuff back in and after that I can start putting up my Halloween decorations. I have my own pumpkin patch in the back yard so I can have lots of jack-o-lanterns.

We got the house fixed! Skywalker drove down here last week and we knocked it out in no time even tho he hurt is back tying his shoes of all things. If that doesn't prove he's old nothing will. He still kept working tho so that was cool. We put new wood and carpet down on the floors and painted the walls and I had to replace a couple of the doors too cuz they were starting to warp. It's all good now tho. The old man even fixed my motorcycle and my four wheeler. He had to take the engines apart cuz they got water in them and the oil turned to brown goo. It looked disgusting but they work just like new now so I'm happy. It looks like everything is getting back to normal after the great flood. My girlfriend is back home with me and we are a happy little family again. Now it's time to move on other important stuff...like Halloween!!!! Today is the first day of October so it is almost my favorite time of the year. This is gonna be an awesome halloween! I'm gonna make a ton of jacko-lanterns and get some Halloween decorations and make my haunted house look really spooky. It's gonna be cool! Every ghost in the neighborhood is gonna want to move in. I have to pick all of my punkins too cuz they are starting to look kind of funky. Punpkins must not like being stuck under water for a week. That means I'm gonna have lots of jacko-lanterns.

Casper Wasn't it Halloween night when you seen that man Ghost. Last year I believe. Maybe he is still hanging around. . I would love to see your house when you have it done for halloween . Maybe you could post a photo of it.
Here where I live the city goes out and tries to find the most spooky home and they put it in our news paper. Do you have anything like that down there?

No, it was in June when I saw that ghost. It was one of the greatest nights of my life. I can still remember the ghost just like I saw it yesterday. I been back to that haunted house in Arkansas where I saw it but it hasn't came back yet. Maybe someday he will. I hope so anyways. I don't know if the newspaper puts any Halloween stuff in it cuz I wasn't living here last year. This will be my first Halloween since I moved to Louisiana. I hope it's a spooky one. Maybe now some ghosts will show up at my haunted house.
