Spent my twenties there. Had my visitation or whatever experience outside of Austin. Lots and lots of empty territory (except for range cattle, oil wells, cactus and mesquite trees - and rattle snakes). No way to get onto ranch land without permission - even if there is a cattle guard you can drive across its tricky if you meet the rancher or his minions on the land. So the UFOs that people see have to handy to the highway or a park.

This is very interesting. Thank you for posting it auntym. I grew up in Lampasas which is only about 30 miles away from Fort Hood, and I have been to the base many times. I had no idea there was speculation that UFOs were being stored there, but that would explain a lot of things. Many of my weird experiences have taken place in that area. Especially interesting to me was the reference to 1985. It was right around that same time that my best friend (the one who was later abducted with me) saw a UFO hovering outside his house one night. He was totally freaked and was running around the house panicking and wondering what to do. (This from a guy who claims he is a skeptic : The past couple of years I have had a number of really weird sightings and experiences in the area just outside of Lampasas. The most recent one happened just a few months ago and while I was sleeping in a tent. I kept hearing this weird whirring sound that I could not identify. It kept moving around from one place to another and I never did figure out what it was. The night before that a hoard of helicopters had come swooping into the area and kept me awake all night long. I have no idea what they were doing. Maybe they were looking for something?

Got this from unexplainable.net... thought it was worth posting here as it speaks of Texas and a link to the birds in Arkansas and Louisiana . Seems that all 3 locations are in a straight line type of relation to each other. (though I haven't confirmed that )
UFO Spotted Amid Starling Deaths By Chris Capps 1/2/11
Bookmark and Share Printer Friendly Page
Crow_1.jpg The object reported to the Mutual UFO Network in all the cases, starting with one report coming from Arlington Texas, sees a large distant orb of light hovering and traveling through the skies. In some cases it simply drifts, in another case the orb changes direction and moves in a straight line away from the witnesses and in yet another it is spotted in a photograph and only noticed by the witness afterward.
While it may be unrelated, and it's easy to tie strings together where no incidents really relate to one another, the massive bird die off seems to be getting a lot of attention in the UFO community (at least one mention could be spotted on MUFON and dozens of others appeared on forum posts across the globe). One of the more prominent theories is that some sort of cloaking device might have made a solid ship invisible for a period of time so the birds flying in a flock would have bumped against it and died. This was a theory that was popular during the Starling die off in the UK last year. The reason that theory worked in that case was because all the birds were found essentially in the same place. In this case the birds were discovered all over the town.
When one witness saw the strange sphere in Arlington Texas they had to consult with a girlfriend to make sure the object wasn't just an optical illusion. When they confirmed it was a solid object moving across the sky to the east, they couldn't help but wonder if the object could be of extraterrestrial origin. Eventually they lost sight of it. This incident happened directly southwest of Beebee an estimated four or so hours before the die off took place. And while the two cities are in different states, they are directly connected by I-30.
The next incident happened the next night south of Beebee in Minden Louisiana. The object spotted was an orb or disc that was was pulsing colors and eventually disappeared. The object's relationship to Beebee is it is also southeast, although at a steeper angle than Arlington. It also connects to Arlington where the first incident took place by I-20. This incident happened shortly before the first.
On the morning of the second, a witness reported from Bowling Green, Kentucky that he was out when he noticed a strange spherical object moving across the sky very quickly. Though it didn't move as fast as a meteor, it did appear to be moving at an incredible speed.
Were these objects somehow related? Did the witnesses involved all see the same object? And was it this object that is responsible for the deaths of so many birds?

When we bought Alaska the government just exaggerated the size of it so people wouldn't think we were getting ripped off by the Russians.

www.ufocasebook.com/2010/caorbs122910.htmlUFO Depiction California Family Watches Multi-Colored Orbs from RooftopPublished: 11:20 AM 12/31/2010 California - 12-29-10 My daughter and her friend were on our roof watching the sky. They saw four orbs with multicolored flashing lights appear in the sky (west). They watched them for a few minutes and called my two sons in to watch. Two orbs flew back and forth all over the sky, while the other two stood still. One dimmed its lights and flew low over a nearby field that is also near Hwy 99 and then into the neighborhood and out of sight. This was about 8:45 pm. The kids drug me out of bed to see the ones still standing still in the sky. What I saw looked orb-like or oval in shape, there were three of them, blinking about five different colors and made no sound. We live near Mather AFB and can also hear planes from Sac International airport, but these made no sound. They also could hover like helicopters, but again no sound. I was able to watch with the kids for about 15 minutes, then they seemed to scatter away from each other, and then one that was blinking multicolored lights began blinking only a blue and silver light. Two flew away in opposite directions and one seemed to just disappear. I had the kids draw what they saw. The boys drawings look oval-shaped, my daughter drew the one that flew close by and it was shaped like a flat rectangle. We did take pictures and video with our cell phones but they are horrible quality so I wont submit them unless someone really wants to see them. None of the kids were worried or afraid they all seemed to be excited. I felt apprehensive, it seemed like the more pictures we took, the closer two of them came. I had the kids come in off the roof and we watched them from inside the house. We watched for them again tonight but they weren't there and didn't show up. The major things that make me think this was unusual was the shapes of the crafts, the many blinking colored lights, and how they made no sound.

www.ufodigest.com/article/slow-moving-triangle-ufo-over-derry-new-hampshireSlow Moving Triangle UFO Over Derry, New HampshireSubmitted by Roger Marsh on Sun, 01/09/2011 - 01:28 UFO Examiner "As it flew over and I began to pass under its line of travel, I realized that it had a black silhouette of a perfect equilateral triangle with a light at each corner," the witness stated. "It also had white strobes like a normal aircraft. I don't recall whether or not it had any central lights, but I believe that it did not." The witness is familiar with military aircraft and does not believe this was one of ours. "It had straight edges on all sides and no discernible detail in form, as well as appearing to be equilateral."A New Hampshire witness driving north into Derry from Salem along Route 28 just after sunset on January 7, 2011, reports a slow-moving, triangle-shaped UFO under 400 feet with lights at each corner, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The witness passed by the object as it moved over trees to the left of the roadway. Derry is a town in Rockingham County, NH, population 34,318. No images or video were submitted with this MUFON report, which was filed on January 8, 2011. The town's nickname, "Space-town", derives from the fact that Derry is the birthplace of Alan Shepard, the first US astronaut in space. New Hampshire is a current UFO ALERT 5 rating, with a lower number of UFO sightings nationally. New Hampshire had three UFO sighting reports in December 2010. California was the highest reporting state with 45 sighting reports. Article continues here: www.examiner.com

www.ufodigest.com/article/disclosure-ufos-mysteries-explore-southwests-four-cornersDisclosure on UFOs, mysteries: Explore Southwest's Four CornersSubmitted by Steve Hammons on Mon, 01/10/2011 In fiction and fact, the Four Corners region of the American Southwest has long been an area associated with beauty, nature and mysterious phenomena. The convergence of the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah is an arid region of dramatic rock formations, fantastic canyons, vast dry plains as well as the pine-covered mountains of Colorado's southern Rockies. American Indian nations and communities of the Navajo, Hopi, Ute and others are also found in the Four Corners. Many American Indian tribes have beliefs and legends related to unconventional phenomena. Mysteries in the area are sometimes associated with the American Indian residents, the ancient history of the region as well as secret government activities and even UFOs. Accounts of a UFO crash in northwestern New Mexico in 1948 continue to be part of UFO lore. Map of Four Corners region STORIES AND REPORTS Popular and prolific western novelists and World War II veterans Louis L'Amour and Tony Hillerman are just two writers who explored the cultural, historical, physical and metaphysical landscape of the area. The works of both writers have been adapted for TV and movies. Both Hillerman and L'Amour had strong connections to the Four Corners. Hillerman's mystery novels about two Navajo Nation tribal police officers set in the region gained tremendous popularity. L'Amour lived part of the time in the Durango, Colorado, area where he did much of his writing. And, both men delved into unusual and anomalous phenomena associated with the history of the area and the people who live there. Hillerman's Navajo police characters Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee often faced strange phenomena in their investigations. L'Amour made an interesting departure from his more conventional old West tales in his 1988 novel set near the Four Corners titled "The Haunted Mesa" about a portal into another dimension. L'Amour's part-time home in Durango plays a part in the ongoing research about UFOs. Some researchers claim that in 1948, the year following the alleged Roswell incident, another unusual flying craft crashed southwest of Durango near the town of Aztec, New Mexico. According to these reports, secret U.S. government teams responded to the area and flew in scientists to examine the situation. The only nearby airfield at the time was in Durango and these personnel were flown in and then traveled by road the 35 miles to Aztec, according to some researchers. As part of the clandestine operation, the craft and possibly bodies were obtained and transported to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, a center for analysis of foreign aircraft and technology. A March 28, 2010, article in the Durango Herald newspaper reported that a former U.S. government "remote viewer" (one of the psychic spies who allegedly used ESP to gather intelligence) spoke about the Aztec incident at the 13th annual Aztec UFO Symposium held in March 2010. The individual, Lyn Buchanan, told the audience that his remote viewing consulting and training firm examined the Aztec UFO crash reports and concluded there is truth to the accounts, according to the article. "In short, there was a crash," Buchanan was quoted in the Durango Herald as saying. "The ETs in that ship weren't dead; they were alive. And negotiations happened between them and the government." The same newspaper article also reported that Buchanan revealed to the symposium audience that the George Clooney character "Lyn Cassady" in the 2009 movie "The Men Who Stare at Goats" was based on Buchanan. lightsinthetexassky.blogspot.com/2011/01/dfw-area-resident-reports-seeing.htmlTuesday, January 11, 2011 DFW area resident reports seeing a strange light in the sky I just received an emailed report from a North Central Texas resident, who witnessed a strange light moving through the sky. Here is that report: January 11, 2011, 04:45 NW of Dallas/Ft. Worth I am writing to see if anyone else reports what I saw this morning. I live Northwest of the DFW metroplex and woke up around about 4:45 am this morning and looked out my east window to a very bright light in the east sky. It appeared as a large star, but seem to be moving. I watched it a while thinking it might be a plane as it appeared to be moving very slowly, but couldn't decide on what it was. I finally went and got a spotting scope to see it more clearly and was surprised to see it looked like a ball with multiple white lights and a line that moved through it. It could also change shape, with one side of it becoming flat. I thought that maybe what I was seeing was caused by looking through my window, so I went outside only to see it, but it appeared the exact same way. It would get very bright then fade, possibly due to light clouds? It finally went out of sight about 25 minutes later and appearing to head eastward. If anyone else saw this I would be happy to know about it. Can't explain it and thought someone else might report it to you. It was at such a distance I did not think my camera would do any good, so I did not get a picture. There may be a good explanation for this, but I can't figure it out. Feel free to post my description, but please withhold my name and email for privacy. Note: From this witness's description, is it possible he saw a flying disc/saucer, making vertical/horizontal maneuvers? If you have seen this object, or what would be classified as a UFO (unidentified flying object), please contact me. -SW

www.ufocasebook.com/2011/idahoredlights.htmlUFO Depiction Unknown Red Light Seen on Consecutive Weeks in IdahoPublished: Idaho - 12-24-10 & 12-31-10 At about 8:30 PM, December 24, my wife noticed a reddish light in the sky and pointed it out to me. My first reaction was that it was a helicopter, but she pointed out that there was no sound. We listened as it approached, but there was nothing. It approached from the northeast at what seemed a consistent elevation. The light was much brighter than anything other than a low-flying craft, but not quite steady in intensity. It didn’t have the green light, white headlight, or strobe of an airplane or helicopter. The light wasn’t a point-source, and had the quality of a fire, flickering irregularly. It was about 45 degrees above the horizon. Distance was hard to tell, but it seemed higher than a light craft. It traveled southwest a little faster than the speed of a satellite. The International Space Station came to mind, but I've seen that many times, and this was much brighter, very red, and clearly closer. We kept watching. It moved past north and away from us until it was northwest of us, and then it came to a full stop, about 20 degrees above the horizon. It held that position for several minutes and the light became more varied in intensity. My wife called our adult children outside, and although they didn’t see it move, they were quick to dismiss it as an aircraft (one of ours, anyway). Several minutes later, it began to move again, reversing direction at about the same speed, moving north, until it stopped again at almost due north. I was now a bit higher in the sky, but seemed farther away, higher in elevation, not as bright, and even more varied in intensity. It again remained motionless for several minutes, but continued dimming. At the point when I knew I was about to lose sight of it, it became white for a moment, and then it was gone. The incident lasted about 15-20 minutes. One week later, December 31st, I was alone outside and noticed a bright red light on the eastern horizon. We’d heard fireworks earlier, and although my first reaction was that it was the same object we’d seen the week before, I tried to explain it to myself as the trail of an aerial firework before it explodes. But it continued moving at a steady trajectory, was getting brighter and moving overhead. I ran inside to call my wife and grab my camera and we both watched the rest of it. It was brighter than the last time, more directly overhead, moving at about the same speed. It moved for about a minute. Then it stopped at about 60 degrees above the horizon just east of south, and over about thirty seconds dimmed out. Both times as it disappeared the feeling was that it was moving away, but it didn’t change position in the sky. There is modest light pollution in our area, but both nights were very clear. Having looked now, we've noticed many recent videos of what appears to us to be the same thing.

www.ufocasebook.com/2011/fortrucker.htmlUFO Depiction Strange Lights Reported near Fort Rucker, Alabama, Military Operations HaltedPublished: 12:38 PM 1/12/2011 Alabama - 01-11-11 Strange lights were reported to have been seen by many people in the area of Newton, Alabama. Many 911 calls came in. My husband, who works on Fort Rucker, called me to say that some military operations were shut down because of these lights. People he works with reported they had seen many black government vehicles rushing to the Newton area where these lights were being reported. One co-worker said he found his truck had been moved unexplainably to the end of his driveway when he woke up this morning. My husband also said the military was already trying to keep a lid on this event, and telling people not to talk about it. There has been nothing in the news at this time. I am still seeking more information. Information on Fort Rucker The Army Aviation Center, Fort Rucker, Alabama, is located in the southeast corner of lower Alabama. Fort Rucker is approximately 80 miles south of Montgomery and 20 miles northwest of Dothan. Florida's Gulf Coast lies 80 miles to the south. The communities of Enterprise, Daleville, and Ozark are west, south and east of the post, respectively and serve as our three main gates. Fort Rucker is located in the southeast corner of lower Alabama. It is approximately 40 minutes from the Florida State line and 45 minutes from the Georgia state line. The post covers about 64,500 acres of countryside in an area known as the "Wiregrass", named for a wild grass peculiar to the region. Much of the main post is in Dale County, with the remaining government-owned and leased acreage in Coffee, Geneva and Houston counties. Most of the countryside is rolling and wooded. An abundance of lakes and streams and proximity to Gulf of Mexico make this area a fisherman's paradise. The current mission of the Army Aviation Center is to develop the aviation force for its worldwide mission. This includes developing concepts, doctrine, organization, training, leader development, materiel, and soldier requirements. Also provide resident and nonresident aviation maintenance, logistics and leadership training in support of the total force and foreign nations for the sustainment of joint and combined aviation operations.

As it got closer I could make out a total of three solid white lights in the shape of a triangle with the one red light blinking in the middle. It appeared to be about the size of my thumb in the sky and was completely silent. It was about the height of where a helicoper would fly, It was far too low to be an air plane and it was the shape of a triangle. As it turned to the right toward the north east the white lights turned off and all that remained was the blinking red light as it moved through the sky and out of eye sight. The sky was clear and the stars were out. All I could think of is I can't believe I'm seeing this with my wife.

Our bedroom has a sliding glass door that looks south in our pasture. I woke up and saw a very bright light about 400 yds from our bedroom door. The object was "hovering" in the sky. At first I thought it was a very bright star, but soon after waking up fully, I saw that it wasn't a star. After a few minutes another object rose out of the trees and it was similar to the first object. I was extremely excited and scared and I woke up my husband at that point. We both were looking at the object and I went to find my video camera. After my wife woke me up I saw two bright objects south of our pasture. Both objects appeared to be a few hundred yards south of our house and the lights were nothing that I have ever seen. I heard a few planes fly near our house and each time a plane passed within earshot of me, both objects dimmed their lights. This happened I believe 3 times. After a bit, not sure how long, the object that rose out of the trees behind our pasture started flying north over our house. We did not leave our bedroom to see where that object went. the other object continued to hover, but it seemed that it had "spikey" lights around it. The object seemed to go up in altitude and then stop, this went on again for a while. My wife was now videotaping and the object had gone up in altitude where we had to move to another part of the house to videotape it. We video taped it from our dining area window and also our family room window. At times it seemed that the object would move very fast and then stop suddenly, I have never seen anything like this. www.ufodigest.com/article/triangle-ufo-moves-slowly-over-fort-worth Triangle UFO Moves Slowly Over Fort WorthSubmitted by Roger Marsh on Thu, 01/13/2011 - 01:18 A Texas witness in Fort Worth near Benbrook Lake reports a triangle-shaped UFO with "three soft, glowing, well defined lights beneath" moving slowly and silently across the sky at 7:45 a.m. on December 10, 2010, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database. The shape of the craft looked like a dark silhouette. "The shape of the craft was distinguishable as a dark silhouette against the background of the early morning sky, and the three equally proportioned lights were the dominant feature," the witness stated. "At a higher altitude, there was a military fighter aircraft too small to identify, but was still audible. I watched for about two minutes, as the craft grew closer and eventually passed directly overhead." The witness was unable to take a photograph or video of the object, but submitted a photo that "fits the description." The MUFON report was filed on January 11, 2011. Texas is a current UFO ALERT 3 rating, with a higher number of UFO sightings nationally. Texas had 26 UFO reports in December 2011. California led the nation with 45 sighting reports. You can read more details about other recently reported cases at the UFO Examiner home page. The most up-to-date UFO information can be heard at web radio show UFO Traffic Report every Wednesday, 9 - 10:30 p.m. EST, which includes a UFO Witness Testimony Program segment, and an update of the UFO ALERT national rating system. Past shows are available at the Archive page. The following is the unedited and as yet uninvestigated report filed with MUFON. Please keep in mind that most UFO reports can be explained as something natural or manmade. If Texas MUFON State Director Steve Hudgeons investigates and reports back on this case, I will release an update. Please report UFO activity to MUFON.com. TX, December 10, 2010 - Triangle shaped vehicle, 3 huge lights beneath floating overhead at low altitude...very silent. MUFON Case # 27354. The sighting occurred over my southern facing home in southwest Fort Worth near Benbrook Lake in the early morning hours at 7:45 AM Central Standard Time on December 10, 2010 (I confirmed the date and time by reviewing my text message to a friend with whom I shared the experience). I was rolling out the garbage bins for Friday morning Pick-up and the triangular shaped craft, with 3 soft glowing well defined lights beneath, was moving very slowly at a diagonal from my right to the left with no sound. I am accustomed to seeing aircraft which originate from or travel toward Carswell, AFB; however, this craft was on a trajectory outside of the usual flight paths I've witnessed. The shape of the craft was distinguishable as a dark silhouette against the background of the early morning sky, and the 3 equally proportioned lights were the dominant feature. At a higher altitude, there was a military fighter aircraft too small to identify, but was still audible. I watched for about 2 minutes, as the craft grew closer and eventually passed directly overhead. I looked to my left and saw a neighbor in the car about 3 houses down; however, this person was not a co-witness. I remained in place and continued to watch. In the time I looked left again, toward my neighbor's moving car, the craft disappeared in a blink. My initial thought was that in a clear blue sky, I should be able to reacquire the craft, as there was no way a conventional aircraft could have disappeared so suddenly. The sky was cloudless, my view was unobstructed. I was unable to take a picture at that moment, but have discovered a photo that fits the description, the time of day and similar weather conditions under which I witnessed the UFO.
