The Witches of Eastwick - with Cher and assorted good actresses and ...whatshisname as the Devil (Jack Nickleson). The town enemy (who was onto them) ended up with a mouth full of cherry pits. I think your interpretation is good - "I felt like "someone" was trying to keep me from talking. The leaves stopped. Both my adult kids now row their eyes when I mention anything to do with UFOs (I try not to...but...I asked them once if they remembered being afraid or what might have happened to them as children. I've seen horror movies where some of the characters start pulling stuff out of their mouths like that...usually when they are about to try to scream for help so the monster doesn't get them. Other people must have had similar dreams if the movie writers came up with it. yeah. Who needs scary movies when they can just turn over in bed?

I've had dreams like that about stuff in my mouth... one of the dreams was a sleep paralysis episode I had. A man came into my room and laid down on top of me. His whole body melted into a gel type liquid and it was absorbed into my body... part of it went into my mouth. It also had no taste... Very strange. Freud would have an explanation for that... lol.. I do get sleep paralysis occasionally. I also have an "oral fixation" if that's what you mean by mentioning freud ;D. Seriously, I quit sucking my thumb like I was supposed to before a certain age. Have pictures showing a toothy smile (straight teeth) to prove it. Then, suddenly I come across a little older (age) picture, and that curvature that happens with the thumb is apparent. I started sucking my thumb INTENTLY AFTER age four. It was horrible. I would go to sleep And wake up with my thumb out of my mouth, but my thumb was newly wet. I took it out of my mouth before waking, trying to fool myself. After age four. And before I came on teor, I was having "my own little regression". Scared myself about 6 mo ago thinking I woke up with my right thumb wet, for some reason. I layed there on my side a minute, trying to gather those past horrors, and then slowly brought my right hand up to my face, and because it was dark, actually started to put my thumb in my mouth, just in shock that I possibly (?) sucked my thumb at this age, and the thumb was wrong. It was small? I WAS SMALL. I was dreaming I was a little girl, going through that again. it was horrible.

And don't care if I was just looking for affirmation. maybe even leaves because I'm "growing"? Ha ha ha ha ha ha, plop (my head). But that makes sense, too. You don't want to see me eat bubble gum. Like a no-mannered chomping, popping kid ; not recommended. Anyway, gotta go. for now.

Back. . .
forgot about "w of eastwick" and the pits. The movie was supposed to be funny, but a lot of it was just creepy.
Sorry about your kids. I'm somehow at a good spot with mine. My son and I didn't speak for almost 9 months when he was 14. I know this will sound stupid, but sometimes I pretend (in my head) that I'm lying to myself about all the things that have happened, are happening. And then my kids bring something up, and I don't want to turn into my mom. Isn't that what we all say? "I don't want to turn into my mom?"
And parts of us do. The great parts.

I like to sit on my butt and write music... ;D I was a nerd in high school. I would have much rather had my nose in a good science fiction novel than a bat in my hands...

well, I guess I did it younger than that. After 4 is when I discovered I was still doing it. I guess dentists still say that if you get a kid off sucking fingers or pacifiers before age 3, no teeth or bite damage.
I told my son that by age 3 (he was 2) no more pacifier (I wouldn't let him even try a finger) and no more diapers. He complied and his teeth and bite are fine. One of my dtrs. is getting braces next month (oh joy). She sucked on two fingers past age 3 and my mom snuck her a bottle to lay down with after age 3. My sister also sucked two fingers and had braces. sigh.
I tried everything to get rid of my thumb. Because it was only in my sleep I asked for help, and a doc fitted me with a metal bar behind my top teeth so my thumb wouldn't fit. Like I said, it was horrible.
What amazes me now, is with this major thumb sucking, sleep walking, and marked personality change, why didn't my family get more concerned?

lorelei, I had a dream with your avatar character playing on a baseball team. You also had 2 husbands, and one kid each. Your "away husband" came to a home game and you got busted. It seems your "home husband" knew about the other guy, and was very calm.

LOL JC... was the "away" husband tall with long blonde hair by any chance? Yes. ;D Longish hair. Bangs in his eyes that he kept having to sweep to the side also. I didn't get a good look at his face because of it, and he was mad, trying not to be hurt. Not a large nose, but kind of 'pinched' looking; thin like his body. He was walking kind of slumped shouldered (under the circumstances?) but tall. Large, strong-looking hands. Otherwise, a "pretty" man? In features. I think he had a little girl, and the other guy a boy. The children maybe a year apart. Old enough to talk some, and I was thinking "these children are going to start mentioning always playing with so-and-so at your ball games" . The other guy was also tall, but also big; stocky. Dark, slightly wavy hair, short enough to be off the collar but still shows the wave. Where do I get this stuff?? I remember reading that you thought you dreamed about people here, and I thought, "nah". The dream was so real, but brief. I was just casually thinking about the dream, wondering, and well, your avatar popped in my head. Put a standard baseball uniform (hat and all) on it. . . .

That's a very interesting dream JC...
The guy I'm dating right now is very big and very stocky and his hair is exactly the way you described...
My friend who lives about 400 miles away from me, also looks exactly like the other (the blonde). People often tell him he looks just like Kid Rock, if you know who he is. He and I have had an on again off again relationship over the past six years... interesting... (he is a very "pretty" boy...)
The "away husband" is a womanizer. He drives me absolutely insane because I was unfortunate enough to fall in love with him... along with other women. He knows it too. He also claims that he loves me too. He is a musician... and he loves my music, I send him CDs every now and then...
Earlier this year he called me on the phone and told me, "Marry me." I just laughed at him and rolled my eyes... dead silence on the other end.
A couple months ago I chatted with him on skype and he told me he WOULD come and visit me soon... but he has said this before... and did not come every time.
I did have a dream about him a couple days ago, but I didn't mention it on my dream journal thread on here... it's not really an appropriate dream you see... ~smirk~
Very interesting...

thank you for letting me be of service. I rarely pm on here, so lorelei, if you want to delete all this at some point I'm ok with that. I just don't believe in secrets unless it involves a surprise party, or something such, and even those can go "wrong". ;D I'm a catalyst. Do you know what that means? When I was a child I thought that meant I was a "catalyst" for disasters. Take that how you wish. Lol. My first "clear" disaster was the (2) DC-10s crashing. My mom knew about it, and later called me a liar. I couldn't prevent the disaster, is the main hurtful memory. Big question: If you get "rid" of the blond man, will you still have the little girl? I believe YES. I saw two children perfect in every way, and they will be born to someone. I pray cherished. YOU may decide to not have any children. The dark-haired man is not a door-mat, and you don't treat him as such. He is very strong, kind, and patient. Whether this is a current BF or his current personality, doesn't much matter. You, if it is you, are lithe, joyful, and just radiant. No big deal you have this situation. And people don't look down on you either for it . Pretty common, no matter what time period you put you guys' clothes in. But that's the kicker. I was "prodded" to tell this wayward dream, even with the unusual baseball theme. Change. Sky has been on you to exercise and we all want you to take better care (feet). Who's to say that life health/weight changes takes away the klutz factor? Having babies, feeling loved (the dark hair guy), and confidence doesn't see you playing recreational sports in a few years.? Your music and talent will always be there (don't take that wrong please) .

The "away husband" is a womanizer. And STILL upset that you have another husband. These kind of people are walking time bombs. And we all know I don't like generalizations . They are very thrilling people, and that "charm" is abused IMO. They are insecure and project all their emotions on other people so that they stay blameless, for THEIR SANITY. This wreaks havoc on other people, needless to say. They can be changed/helped, but not by a lay person. Put medication, environment, family history, a bad day at work, etc., on this personality, and wahla! Walking Time-bomb. Not saying your friend is this.

And not saying every "charmer" abuses that gift. What I like to do, is relate the dream to ME, for clarity. I really don't know who the "players" in this dream are. I once thought it was best to have two boyfriends. The ideal. One for talking/emotional stuff/best friend type, and one for . . . and of course they'd know about each other! How cool is that? Hmmmmmm. Does this really work? what about the children, even if the guys have the same scenerio (another woman)? What if I want one thing, and I'm with the wrong guy?? Hey, while I'm going for the "ideal", wouldn't it just be better all around if the two guys were rolled up into one? Where do I find someone like that? While I'm waiting/looking, maybe I'll just get into better shape and play on some team sport. ;D

VERY IMPORTANT. I do NOT condone having children for a positive life change. I do NOT condone having children because some "visionary" sees you with them.
If occasionally a person wonders if they're pregnant and are sexually active, they most likely are going to get pregnant. Time to choose your future.

Thanks for sharing JC. I appreciate your input. I've been playing around with the idea of joining the gym again... the thing is, I'm already losing weight because of my new job. Instead of standing in one place all day, I'm running around the store all day. I've lost 10 lbs already now and my clothes are looser. The thing is, I'm six feet tall. I look a lot smaller than I actually am. I have a HUGE skeleton. My wrists do not have rolls of fat around them, they are all bone... I wear a size 7.5 ring (I've recently learned that's about average finger width for a woman... most women with "fat" fingers wear an 8 or a 9...). I wear an extra large shirt, and 2x size pants (size 22 tall)... and yet I have guys hitting on me and trying to impress me all the time... a few co-workers too. If you were to stand me next to a friend of mine who also wears a size 22 you would not say we are the same size... because she is very overweight because she has a very small skeleton and is shorter. I am supposed to weigh 170 lbs according to my doctor. That's my "ideal" weight... but I would be happy if I got down to 200. That's my goal weight. When I was in high school, I wore a size 18 and I weighed about 220. Girls in the gym locker room would always want to try to swap clothes with me because they thought I was the same size they were. They were always shocked that I wore a size 18 and they only wore a size 10 or 12... It's all a matter of perspective if you ask me. I have perfect blood pressure, I do have feet and joint problems but this is also because I am tall (tall people tend to have back and joint problems...). My back problems are also due to the fact that I have a very heavy pair of... well friends if you know what I mean... I'm not an unhealthy person... I'm just a large person. ~shrug~ But I could stand to lose 30-40 lbs to be sure... for a normal sized person this is a lot of weight, but not for me. When I was 19, I lost 50 lbs in about two months and everyone thought I had lost 20. Me losing 40 lbs is like a normal sized woman losing 20... but yea... I've just about given up on the womanizer. I think he's beginning to realize this... I would never be happy with him anyhow. I would always be wondering... you know... what if... who is she? Stuff like that... I'm just not an athletic person... even when I was in elementary school, I was skinny as a toothpick and I would always lag behind the other kids when we would run during gym class. Sometimes I was even slower than the "fat" kids. I could sprint very fast... but only for short distances. I dunno. I'm just not an athlete. I am however VERY strong... much stronger than the average woman... I used to go to the gym all the time back in high school and I could bench press 90 lbs. I had to have the guys spot me because none of the other girls were strong enough. I could also do 140 on the ab crunch machine. That's better than most of the football players at my school could do... but yea... I surprise people with my strength. I'm just a strong person... not a runner person... lol... I will never be a wispy willowy size zero supermodel... although many have told me (seriously) that I could be a plus size model. I've actually been offered to... erm... perform in internet videos... and I have been offered a very nice salary for doing it... I refused though. Not my kinda thing, ya know?

Oh yea, I just remembered. The klutz factor.
I have poor vision... extremely poor vision. I'm one of those people who has to get right up in front of something in order to be able to read it.
I have terrible "binocularity" (which means my depth perception is not very good... can't tell how far away things are really...) and next to no peripheral vision. I am constantly knocking things over, bumping into people at work, etc etc because of my vision difficulties.
Trust me, if I lost weight, it would not help any. ;D
I shouldn't even be driving believe it or not. I cheated on the vision test in order to get my license because I needed to get it. Shhhh....
When someone gives me directions to their house, I literally stop at every street sign and squint at it to read what it says... I annoy the hell out of the other drivers...

The following is from a session that steve has with "han" : Since we are talking about the dimension of dreams, do you think that mathematics applies as part of the construction in the dream state? (question from steve or mary) That is a question I never pondered before. In my scientific thinking I arbitrarily want to say that mathematics can apply anywhere. I must pause and reconsider in dreams whether that is still the case. It is an intriguing question. It can, in an indirect way, in that dreams often reflect reality and in reality there is mathematics, but the equations in a dream do not always have to be a precise answer. It can be the wrong answer and be correct in a dream and a correct answer can be wrong in dream. It has no reference to a physical application in reality. Because dreams often do not reflect reality they have their own rules and their own path. (han's answer) Read more: theedgeofreality.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=encounters&thread=1294&page=12#ixzz1iDmb2LJ5_____________________________________________________________________________ I've been thinking about these comments lately, and having some odd dreams. Dreams that seem to be blending different times in my life. For example, Thursday night part of a dream was me sitting in a lounger at one of my son's baseball games. The dream was very close to minute detail (a past event), including driving quite a ways into the countryside and finding the ball field in a small town. I was enjoying myself. And smoking a cigarette . I haven't smoked in years, and never at a son's ball game. Nevermind that I was lounging instead of sitting upright in a lawn chair . I'm "pondering" the part where han says that "equations in dreams don't have a precise answer". That leads me to the question "Do all equations in real life have a precise answer?"

If you can be patient long enough or live long enough for the answer I'll bet they do. I think that some equations remain elusive so that people keep trying to solve them. Do we exist to live or live to exist? Without some reason for being..what IS the reason for being?

Perhaps being is the reason for being. Maybe we are all here to make an impact on the world...whether it be small or large, good or bad, everything that we do has an effect on the world and the people around us. The more we do the greater the effect we will have. That is what gives life meaning. The amount of meaning we get from it is equal to the amount we put into it.

I'm sure that at some point in their lives..everyone is significant to someone.

Most of the time, we do not get to know whether we were significant or not. People do not or cannot due to time passing, go back and tell someone - "You know that advice you gave me at the bus stop....well it changed my life." But to live intentionally means to pay attention to EVERYTHING not just the cool (desired) things or the happy things or even the comfortable things.
I have a friend who survived Viet Nam and rose to lead man in his patrol because he noticed things like the dew being missing off the grass blades alongside the trail (indicating someone had passed across recently, maybe set a land mine recently). He kept his comrades and himself alive by paying attention. We are most alive when we are paying attention. Sleeping, napping, zoning out ....are for resting and paying attention for the rest of the time. IMO

I used to work at our local scoool..oh years and years ago. All I was was floating entity to keep an eye on middle school kids during breaks and lunch. The kids were amazing..they'd stalk me and I'd make up games for them..tug of war..kids against the teacher base ball..anything to make them feel a little less separate. I enjoyed it and the teachers were pretty good sports too as long as someone else was organizing (they didn't have the time for it). You'd be surprised how many of these kids needed to 'touch'..a hug..something grounded. Anyway..I loved it until budget cuts sent me into other fields of interest. About 3 months ago in the grocery store this middle aged man taps me on the shoulder and smiled. I had no clue. He said..you're Joda Kelly aren't you and I nodded like a foolish horse..he said. You were the yard person when I was in school and I want you to know you were the best..the greatest and made me feel special every day. That..was probably my moment of 'fame'

As far as facebook is concerned... my boss called me into her office today and told me I can't make posts about work anymore.
I asked her why.
She said people have been fired over it and she didn't want me to be fired.
