How the heck do you get a stupid computer to play a stupid DVD? I have four laptops now and none of them work. One of them is only two days old! Good grief! Stupid computers!

Oh, crap! I've been so engrossed in my computer problems the past few days I totally forgot to post about my recent vacation. I'll see if I can get something on while at least one of my herd of computers is acting halfway cooperative.

Anyways, last weekend I went out to California for a short vacation. Mostly I was going to a Xena convention because it's one of my favorite tv shows of all time and I really wanted to meet some of the actors that were in it. Most of them live in New Zealand where the show was filmed so the only time they come over to the US is for one of these conventions. This was the 20th anniversary and the last Xena-con they are ever going to have so it was my last chance. I had a really good time too. Spent several days without even touching a stupid computer, got lots of autographs and met some really cool people. I drew a few pictures for the people to autograph also. I'll post them here for y'all to check out. I'm not done with one of them so it will still be a few days before that one shows up. I did some other stuff while I was in LA but I'm too aggravated right now to post it. These stupid computers are still driving me nuts. I might post some more stuff tomorrow since I actually have the day off work...sort of.

OMG!!! I fixed my computer!!! It works!!!!! Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord; he is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored; he hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword; his truth is marching on. Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! His truth is marching on! This is a good day.

It's best played in the key of F because the B flat really brings out that oomph. lemme accompany you hold on... where's my sheet music...

Here are a couple of pictures of me at the Xena convention I went to a couple of months ago. They aren't very good photos because I only had print photos rather than digital so I had to take a photo of a photo so they look like crap...not to mention the fact that I look like a dork in both of them but that's not unusual. The first one is of me and Lucy lawless who played Xena in the show. She's a babe btw. The next one is me with Renee O'Connor who is also a babe. I meet quite a few celebrities and famous people here and there so I'm pretty much used to it but I have to admit my brain had a little bit of a meltdown when I met both of these people. That's probably why I look like Homer Simpson in a donut factory...there's just a blank goofy look on my face. I've always been a really big fan of that show though and I've been wanting to meet those people for a long time. I can cross that off my bucket list now.

Morgan, Dude, that is awesome, I was totally obsessed with Xena and Gabrielle, Gabrielle I always thought was a hotty, I use to call her Grab and Yell lol But saying that, I always loved Hercules too, with Kevin Sorbo.

It's nice to meet a fellow fan. Xena is one of my favorite shows of all time. I just got finished watching every episode on DVD and it probably won't be long before I start from the beginning again. I had been wanting to go to one of their conventions for a long time but something always got in the way. This year was going to be the last one though so I had to get out there one way or another. I'm really glad I went too. That will be one of the highlights of my boring and pathetic life. I actually met Kevin Sorbo a long time ago and Michael Hurst was at the Xena Con also. I didn't get Kevin's autograph though. Not sure what I was thinking. Renee O'Connor is from Texas by the way. That's probably why she's such a hotty.

Oh Renee is definitely a hotty lol You know what use to make me laugh about those shows though, it didn't happen too often but every now and then you would see jet streams in the sky lol wish I could have gone to one, they don't ever have much in Australia though.

They filmed the show in New Zealand which is right next door to you. That's where most of the actors were from too. I wonder why they never had any shows in that area? I guess they had them in the US because that was where the fan club was based. They were the ones who got the whole convention thing rolling.

Dude, how do you keep meeting all of these famous people? I never get to meet anybody like that. The only famous person I ever met is Bob Dylan and I don't even like Bob Dylan. I didn't even know who he was. My dad had to explain him to me. Here you are meeting cheerleaders and movie stars and stuff. Next time you go to meet somebody famous take me with you.

Wait, I take that back. I met Richard Petty once. And Loretta Lynn too so I guess I met a few famous people. They weren't good looking hotties like those two women tho.

I just noticed that when Proboards switched formats a while back it caused all of our old videos to quit working which means I'm going to have to go back through every old post and edit them all so the videos will work. What a pain! Here's the one I was looking for though...our theme song that Lorelei made.

I like that song. Lorelei did a good job with it. I couldn't see the video tho. It was just black the whole time.

Here I am with agent Scully (Gillian Anderson) at the Dallas Comic Con. And yes, I know I look like a zombie. I wasn't feeling very good that day.

BTW - has anyone ever told you that your eyes are quite unusual. You look like you're seen a long long way and also a little weary of doing so. Not bad or good or anything - just unusual.

That T-shirt was a birthday present from a good buddy. I got quite a few comments on it from people at the Comic Con. They all loved it.

You look like you're seen a long long way and also a little weary of doing so. Not bad or good or anything - just unusual. That's a condition called the "thousand mile stare" because it looks like a person is focusing at something a thousand miles away even if they are actually looking at something right in front of them. Not exactly sure what causes it but it's very common among soldiers and mountain climbers and other people who are used to pain and discomfort. I suppose long distance running could also count. On this particular day I also had a cold so I probably wasn't focused on much of anything.

Read more: theedgeofreality.proboards.com/thread/20/postcards-edge#ixzz3d4tI4Aji_____________________________________________________________________________________ Some people call them "sad eyes", or "lost puppy dog eyes" or even "bedroom eyes" (sleepy type!) but yeah, I can also now say "the thousand mile . . . " My eyes tip down in the corners, and it seems that I have a lot of space between the eyebrow and my upper eyelashes, which I don't have more than "normal", it just appears that way. A heavy-lidded look. Even if I'm not tired or have a cold. You just have to throw people off by having a big smile!

Here is another drawing I did for the Dallas Comic Con a couple of weeks ago. It's signed by some of that Japanese actors from the old movies. It looks better in real life. The colors on here are kind of bleah.

I was just out running down the road, minding my own business, when a pickup started driving towards me. His lights were shining in my face and I couldn't see anything cuz it was dark so I moved over onto the shoulder to get away from him and all of a sudden my leg disappeared into a pothole the size of a meteor crater. I bit the asphalt hard. I mean I face-planted right on the ground, bounced a few times and skidded to a halt with rocks, dirt and blood flying everywhere. Naturally the guy in the pickup had a front row seat to see everything so he turned around and came back to see if I was still alive. I'm not totally sure if I am or not so if it turns out that I'm a ghost typing this somebody make sure to take a picture of me and post it here on the forum. I'm sure casper would love to see it.

Do you remember what happened next?
How nice. Run off the road by a truck, and then it comes back to check on you (take your wallet, cell phone, and run over you to make sure).
Where's the AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh!!
How are You today? How many stitches? Seriously.
There's no art to falling gracefully or like a ninja (roll) when a hole is involved!
Did you chew out the guy, or thank him for taking you to the hospital??
I'm thinking, if you aren't a ghost right now, that the person driving the truck wasn't paying attention to the road. You moved off the side of the road, they heard no thump, but they registered something "moved", so they looked in their rear view mirror and caught your "dance" (since they had to turn around).
This could have happened at anytime, and if it happened during all that computer "down time", . . . dude! You can't jog with a pistol or a shot gun, and a cell phone, and a wallet, and animal spray! How many more of these "events" is your guardian angel set for??
Wild and free, and DETERMINED. DEE - TER - MIND. A new way to look at the word, Please?
And yes, I'm going to use the worst (for you) example there is.: A woman swims laps in the ocean, just past the breakers, her entire life. At age 81, in broad daylight, the waters refreshing and sparkling, people frolicking on the beach not 200 feet away, what happens? "Oh well. She died doing what she loved to do; she died happy" . . .
Now. I'm going immediately to those holes I left in the back yard . . .
