My friend sent me this photo late last night. I have no idea what it is yet because he hasn't given me any details about it yet but he must think it is something interesting because he sent it to me three different times...on my cell phone, in an email and on Facebook. I assume he wanted me to see it. I'll post the details as soon as I get them. That clown! He sent me a picture of the moon. He said he took a picture of the moon and the camera made it look weird so he sent it to me because he thought it looked kind of like a UFO. That was actually my first guess when I first saw it. I just didn't know why he would send me a picture of the moon. I still haven't figured that part out.

That does not look like the moon to me. I take photos of it all the time. All I get is fire around it... Maybe Cliff would know.

He said he took the picture with his cell phone and that was the way it turned out for some reason. It's definitely the moon though.

What the heck is this? I saw it a few weeks ago and took a few photos but couldn't post them because my computers were all dead. It looked like a ring of black smoke that was swirling around in a circle when I first saw it but I was out running at the time and by the time I got to a camera it had turned into this black blob-looking thing. I remember seeing a video here on the forum a long time ago that looked just like the thing that I saw. Have no idea where it is though.

I didn't mean to make the photos gimongous but since my computers are pieces of crap I can't fix it right now. Stupid computers.

Were you in Texas when you saw this?

Yes, I was in Texas about 30 miles northeast of Dallas. I was parked in a truck stop right next to the interstate. I went out to run a few miles and happened to see the thing swirling through the air. It looked like a ring of black smoke but it kept spinning around in circles. Don't know why smoke would spin in circles.
I've seen a video of the exact same thing on here before. Still don't know what it is.

Musk said the upgraded Dragon is designed to land anywhere in the solar system. The propulsive landing system was tested recently at the SpaceX plant in McGregor, Texas. . . Additional details on his overall Mars plan will come, Musk promised. After successfully landing a leftover Falcon booster at sea earlier this month, he said he would elaborate on his approach to establishing a city on Mars at an aerospace meeting in Mexico in September. Read more: theedgeofreality.proboards.com/user/129/recent#ixzz4B6Sb4EI3**** Hoping its obvious why I posted the first part of this (sorry; not the picture you are looking for). The second part, is rather baffling (but not). Aerospace meeting in MEHIKO?? ( do our political candies know about this?)

Along this questioning, but off the subject of Skys sighting, why did EMusK decide on the name dragon?

Yes!! That's exactly what it looked like! And it was spinning around in circles.

There was a fireworks stand close by that was shooting off fireworks later that night but I didn't see any go off before the ring appeared. If it was from a firework I don't know why it would spin around in circles like that either.

Yes, that's exactly like what I saw. It wasn't quite that big but it's the same thing. Still trying to figure out what causes them and why they rotate like that.

I recall another "ring" somewhere here on TEOR; maybe Pakistan? Several of us were commenting on it, because a bird flew under it? I'm thinking that the bird convinced us that it wasn't just a smoke ring?
And Plutronus had made some comment about large smoke rings at the burning man festival, so I guess its fairly easy to tell the difference.

One of my friends sent me these photos from a trip that he and some of his friends took to San Antonio. They stopped at the Menger Bar to have a few cold brews and relax for a while. The Menger bar and hotel both have a long tradition of being haunted by numerous ghosts and since my friend hangs out with me he has heard all about them so that's what they were talking about as they sat there drinking adult beverages. As a memento of their visit they asked the bartended to take a few photos of them. "Make sure you get the ghost" one of the guys joked as he handed his phone to the lady tending bar. "Don't bring him in here!" she warned sternly. The people who work there are also well aware of the Menger's haunted reputation and don't want any part of it. Anyway, here are the three photos that were taken, each with a different phone. Now what are the odds that two out of three pictures would come out messed up like that? The phones used were different brands, different varieties and different ages, and none of them had ever malfunctioned like that before so why would they do it then? Do ghosts have a habit of screwing up photos taken with cell phones?

The third photo is gimongous either because it is cursed or my computer is a stupid piece of crap! I cannot get that darned photo to resize. I've been trying to resize that cursed photo for two months now and it will not cooperate. I can resize and edit other photos so why not that one? WTF?

Dude, those haunted pictures are cool! I never saw a ghost make pictures like that. They must have got into the cameras and messed them up. What's that blue thing up on the wood on the right side. It looks like a ghost face. Maybe that's the ghost that messed up the pictures. Where's this spooky bar at? You need to take me there sometime and buy me a haunted beer.

I think the blue thing you are talking about is sunlight shining through the window by the front door. You just can't see the window. I don't know what caused the pictures to be messed up. None of their phones have ever done that before or since. The Menger bar is in San Antonio. Next time you come visit me we can go check it out. Maybe we can even go on one of the ghost hunts they have in the city. They sometimes go to the Alamo, the Menger and all kinds of cool places. That would be cool! If anybody could find a ghost on one of those ghost hunts it would be a ghost nut like you.

(The beer is easy to figure out. I like looking for "other" anomalies in such pictures. Their reflections appear to be consistent.... )
