Approximately 10:38 am, Sunday, July 22, 2018, I saw a UAP near downtown Kansas City, Mo.
I was traveling westward on I-70 and had just passed the Manchester Trafficway.
There were sparse white fluffy clouds in the sky. Otherwise, it was a bright and sunny morning at 80 degrees temperature.
I dont know if my eyes were drawn to the sky. This is a clear of bridges area, 4 wide lanes of traffic traveling both directions (because of entry and exit from 470). About a half of a mile West of Royals Baseball Stadium. Immediately after going under the last bridge of 470 the speed limit changes from 65 mph to 55 mph. There was a fair amount of traffic, but because of the amount of lanes, and it being a large straightaway, a person can gaze at the distant sky and still see the cars in front of them well.
I saw what appeared to be a plain, white plane. White as the nearby clouds but much smaller than the smallest cloud. No markings, and no shine or luster to its appearance. It immediately looked odd to me, and I momentarily realized that it had no wings or other protrusions.
I can’t really say if it was over downtown Kansas City, but was over a raised area of the highway (I-70) that is called “the Jackson Curve”.

After the Jackson Curve, I-70 travels North for aways before it turns West again and enters the downtown area.
At the Jackson Curve, a person cannot see the buildings of downtown; whereas those buildings can be seen from the Royals Stadium area on the straightaway.
The UAP seemed to be getting ready to go behind a cloud. I looked away for less than a second, and it was gone. The cloud nearby was small, so if it had been a plane, I watched for it to appear again. It did not. I spent enough time searching the sky at this point, that every time I looked away from the sky, I was seeing “white blotches” in my vision. (After-images of the clouds against a pale blue sky?)
After looking at the sky and then looking away and experiencing that defect of my vision 3 times, I quit looking for the object.
I will put any of my “own personal speculations” on my personal encounter thread. 🤗

Nice! What shape was it? It wasn't a blimp was it?

No sir. I considered (of course) that it was a blimp. 😄
As far as I know, a true “blimp” would not be moving or disappearing like this thing did.
It did have a “blimp” shape. For the simple fact that I can’t get myself to say it looked like a “tic tac”. 😲🙄
If I was to compare it to “mint”, it was MORE like a “mento” mint. But NOT flat on one side like a mento (or a game-piece).... wait; it was like a backgammon piece; but all one color, and a tad fatter....
Does that make sense?
Sorry I couldn’t get a picture!! It was interesting!

But yeah; I DID compare it to a “tic tac” (obviously)

And, I’m back here to comment some more. 🙂 _____________
I drove this same route last night at 6:45 pm.
You CAN see downtown KC, Missouri from a lot of this route (tops of the tallest buildings of downtown). A lot of times, it is a “spectacular view”. I was going the opposite way of cars - major traffic at a standstill on 70 hiway East for the game at Royals stadium.
Skywalker, I bet you could comment on this “view” of KC, Mo. You could probably tell us the “best views” of going into several cities. 😄. This view is traveling west from Independence, Mo.
It so happened that last night “another” plane was flying through the exact area where I saw the UAP. Flying the opposite direction, and obviously a low-flying many (MANY) passenger plane. Why was a passenger plane flying so low? If it was a plane headed to land at our KCI Airport farther North, wouldn’t I “see” them more often?? Was it a smaller passenger plane headed for the “downtown airport”? I don’t know.
But very obviously a human plane. My side view of it was shadowed, because of the sun in the West, but there’s no mistaking the wings; tail; etc.
I KNOW what I saw on Sunday. I still don’t have any reference for its size..... unless this human plane, seen in almost the same spot, traveling steadily as planes do, was SUPPOSED to be my frame of reference.
I DO look at the sky (even more than I thought I did 😊).

Ok; now here’s the “funny” part.
(I was trying to elude to this idea when I talk about my speculations about this UAP view on my personal, close encounter thread).
Today, just a couple of days after my “sighting”, I CANNOT picture this UAP IN MY MIND.
I literally look back on here, on TEOR, of my description of it, THEN can briefly picture it in my mind again, and then... again, I CANNOT picture it.
I CAN picture any UAP I’ve seen that included the “Oz factor” when I saw it. Right now, in my brain. ??
Don’t tell me this is just the case of “the short term memory” thing. ☹️.
