November 6, 2010Hi everybody! I'm sure you all know who I am by now, I'm that lovable lunatic named Skywalker. My real name, or rather the pen name that I'm using right now, is Morgan Sierra. (My real name isn't important so just call me Sky...or Skywalker...or whatever. ) In addition to being slightly deranged I am also a paranormal investigator. It's just something that I do as a hobby in my spare time since unfortunately I have to actually work for a living. (bummer ) In my normal life I work for a transportation company as a driver/trainer. I teach the new drivers how to do the job properly (and hopefully not kill anybody in the process). Sometimes I will also go out on the road myself to make extra money or to help out when there is a lot of freight to be delivered. This usually happens whenever there is a disaster somewhere in the country. My company is under contract with FEMA to provide extra trucks to help out with disaster relief, so any time there is a mess in the country I am usually up to my rear end in it. When Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans I spent several weeks down there taking relief supplies to the people. It was not a pretty sight. (Actually, it didn't look all that good before the hurricane hit either ) I've been to many other hurricane devastated areas also, as well as places ravaged by tornadoes, floods and blizzards. When the oil well was leaking I was delivering supplies all along the Gulf to help clean up that mess. I was also in New York shortly after 9-11. I've seen quite a bit of carnage in my life. When I'm not working my behind off I stay busy with a lot of different hobbies. I'm a mountain climber, scuba diver, marathon runner, wildlife photographer, race car driver...and a paranormal investigator. I would not consider myself to be a serious one like Bud Hopkins or or David Jacobs or somebody like that, but I do my best. I first became interested in UFOs in 1988 when I had what I call my first abduction experience. I don't know what else to call something swooping down out of the darkness and picking me up out of my bed with a beam of light. Abduction sounds about right. This experience was also shared by my best friend who remembers it exactly the same way I do, so I know something happened. And I don't want any skeptics telling me it was sleep paralysis or swamp gas! I want answers, not debunker nonsense. I used to be a major skeptic myself when it came to UFOs and aliens and I spent two decades trying to find a rational scientific explanation for what happened. So far there has been none. Only after exhausting all possible avenues of accepted scientific research did I start considering other alternatives. I really became interested in unsolved mysteries when I saw my first episode of the X-files. It was an episode about some guy named Duane Barry and it started off with this dude asleep in bed when a bright light suddenly filled up his bedroom, paralyzing him. Then he started floating up into the air as a UFO picked him up. You can imagine my surprise as I realized I had seen all of this before in my own bedroom. That was the first indication I had that it was happening to other people as well. I started learning as much as I could about UFOs and aliens, as well as other unsolved mysteries like ghosts, haunted houses, weird animals like Bigfoot and El Chupacabras, and any other mysterious thing I could find. I became interested in Psychic phenomenon after I started having weird premonitions and dreams of the future following my first abduction experience and I even got a minor in psychology in college because I was so interested in seeing how it was possible these things could be happening. My major was in history, which is a subject that fascinates me. I'm also interested in archaeology and palaeontology. I've investigated quite a few things over the past twenty years and during that time I have discovered that most so-called unsolved mysteries actually have solutions, they just aren't what people want to hear. Either that or nobody knows about them except for serious researchers who spend huge amounts of time researching them. There are a still a few unexplainable things left in the world however. UFOs are one, as is how something could come swooping down out of the darkness and pick somebody up out of their bed using nothing more than a beam of light. It is questions like that that keep me searching for answers. Hopefully some day I will find them. The reason I am starting this thread is because I want you to know what kind of person I am and why I do some of the crazy things that I do. I have done quite a few crazy things too. I seem to have a knack for getting myself into trouble. I had a recent experience in a spooky cemetery in the middle of the night that I still haven't recovered from. I'll tell you all about that very soon. In the coming weeks and months I'm hoping to share the results of some of my investigations with you, as well as some of the day to day adventures and misadventures that I find myself involved in. Maybe we can figure some of these things out together. If not, then at least we might be able to enjoy the search. I'll catch y'all later. Sky

Okay, I've been teasing everybody with this long enough so I am now going to tell my spooky cemetery story. It happened one night last week. I think it was October 28th. I've been holding off talking about it because I am still not sure exactly what happened. I was sneaking around in in the dark in this old cemetery late at night about 11 O'clock. This is something that I do every now and then, especially when it gets close to Halloween when the veil between worlds is supposed to be thinner, or so they say. Naturally, I was looking for ghosts. Now before I go any further, I would first like to say that I have never seen a ghost. I have spent years snooping around "haunted" houses, old graveyards and other spooky places, and I have never once seen anything That I could not easily explain. I did once see a weird looking black blob while driving down a foggy road late one night but I would not count that as a ghost. It was probably just a shadow from the light shining on the fog. My friend saw it too, but when we turned around and went back there was nothing there. I do believe that it is possible ghosts could exist. I believe that anything is possible, I just haven't seen one myself. I wasn't really expecting to see anything in that cemetery either, but I would rather be sneaking around an old graveyard than sitting at home watching Survivor or American Idol. As I was sitting there on this dark, damp night the first weird thing I noticed was a very faint smell of death. I could actually smell the dead bodies decaying under the ground. This isn't really all that unusual, especially in older cemeteries where the smell has plenty of time to permeate the ground. When the ground is damp and the air starts to cool off at sunset the stench seems to rise up into the air from the ground. It was strange for me though because I have never actually smelled it before, and it added to the spooky feeling that I already had. I had only been sitting there a few minutes when I heard a weird sound, kind of like something was scraping against the tombstones. It was exactly the type of thing you would expect to hear in a horror movie if a bunch of zombies were rising up out of their graves and clawing at the tombstones. I had no idea what it was so naturally I got up to go look. I followed the sound up and over a small hill all the way to the very back of the cemetery where it was almost pitch black. Naturally, stupid me did not have a flashlight so I could hardly see anything. I was moving slowly and trying to stay on the dirt paths as much as possible because I don't like to step on the graves themselves. I just think it is very disrespectful to be walking on people's graves. I would not want some lunatic walking all over the graves of my dearly departed loved ones so I don't walk on other people's. As I was creeping along through the darkness I suddenly I saw something that made me stop in my tracks. There appeared to be two, glowing blue eyes staring at me from behind one of the tombstones! They were electric blue in color and it looked like they were just staring right at me. As I stood there staring back at them I saw a shadow move off to my right and another pair of glowing blue eyes peeked out from behind another tombstone about fifteen feet from the first one. I was probably twenty feet away from them. If I had kept walking the direction I had been going I would have walked right in between them. It was kind of like whatever they were was setting a trap for me. It suddenly dawned on me that it was probably not the smartest idea in the world to be standing in the middle of a spooky old cemetery, by myself, in the middle of the night having a staring contest with weird shadowy things with glow in the dark blue eyeballs! Since I did not have a flashlight I couldn't actually see what the things were, but I could have swore there was something there watching me. It was right about then that I decided to conduct a new investigation to see how fast I could get out of that cemetery! I can move pretty quick when I have the proper motivation and seeing glow in the dark eyeballs staring at me is definitely enough to motivate! Now, I'm sure if some scientific researcher were to investigate what happened out there they would probably come to the conclusion that the reason I moved so fast was because of the adrenaline that was pumping through me, and they would probably be right. As for what the glow in the dark eyeballs were they would not have a clue. When I made it back to my truck I climbed in, locked the doors, and tried to rationalize what had happened. I was still pretty spooked and there was no way I was going back out there again that night so I decided to sleep in the truck and check it out the next morning. Later that night I had a nightmare that something was trying to get into my truck. I could feel the truck shaking and I heard that same scratching sound that I had heard before. I woke up fully expecting to see a pair of blue eyeballs staring at me through the window. Luckily, there was nothing there. I had just gone back to bed when suddenly the phone rang and just about scared me to death! It was 3 am. What kind of a fool calls somebody at 3am? It was my boss wanting to know if I was going to be in on time for work in the morning. Like...duh...I've only been showing up on time for ten years. Why on Earth would he call me then? The next day the weirdness continued when I tried to use the computer and was having all kinds of problems logging on. For me, computer problems are not all that unusual since I hate the darned things, but this is a new computer and so far has not given me any problems. So why then? For the past week I have been trying to figure out what really happened out there that night and I am still not sure. At the time I could have swore that what I saw was real, but now (in the daylight) I'm not so sure. Could it have been my mind playing tricks on me? Could the "eyes" I saw have been an image of some light somewhere reflecting off the tombstones? Adrenaline does heighten the senses causing people to notice things that they normally would not notice. Maybe I just thought I saw moving shadows and glowing eyes. I really don't know. I did go back the next morning (when the sun was very high) and I did not see anything unusual, so who knows? It could have just been my imagination. But on the other hand, what if...?

This is good. This is the way an investigation thread should be. We have a mystery, we ask questions, do research and come up with possible answers. Let's see if I can provide a few. The tombstones were mostly upright and averaged about two feet tall. That's about how big the stones were where I saw the eyes. This was a pretty old cemetery with some death dates going back to the 1800s. The first pair of eyes that I saw seemed to be peeking over the top of one of the tombstones so that would make it about two feet tall unless it was kneeling down. Or it could have been sitting on top of the stone, or maybe even several feet behind the stone on the ground and it just looked like it was on top of it. I really have no idea because it was dark. The other pair of eyes seemed to peek around the side of the stone about halfway down. I suppose it is possible that it could be an animal. (And I must say that was very good work on the eyeshine info, stiver. ) I agree it was probably not an elephant, giraffe, duku, zebra, walrus or duckbilled platypus. It also was not a horse, sheep or a whale. So what other possible animals have blue eyeshine? Kittens? That could be. They seemed to be larger than that, more like very large cats, but that is possible. As for possible light sources,I checked to see how big the moon was on the 28th and it was a little over half full, but it was cloudy and overcast that night because it had been raining off and on during the day. I don't remember seeing any moon or stars. There was a gas station across the street with street lights in the parking lot. The lights illuminated the front part of the cemetery which is why I did not have a flashlight. (Also because I'm an idiot ) I could see pretty well there but when I walked to the back of the graveyard the hill blocked out the light. There was still a glow coming from that direction though so it is possible that could have illuminated the animal's eyes (if they were animals). The eyes were also staring directly at me with the light behind me so it would have been coming from the right direction. Therefor, I would have to say that what I saw might have been a couple of animals, possibly cats. If that is true then I feel like a fool, as usual. It is also possible that the sounds I heard could have been coming from an animal, like maybe a raccoon or armadillo or something in the woods. Unfortunately I did not stick around to find out. About the dream and the phone call and computer. The dream was probably just a dream, which makes sense since I had just had a spooky experience and was still thinking about it when I went to bed. When I woke up everything was back to normal. The phone call happened about 30 seconds after I had gotten back into bed. My boss has never called me at 3am before and if he had I probably would not have answered the phone. The only reason I answered that night is because I was already awake. Today I asked him why he called me in the middle of the night and he said he doesn't remember why, which could mean that he was either half asleep, drunk, or is more senile than I am. Or maybe like stiver said, he just had an overwhelming urge to call. Who knows? The computer problems that I had the next day I would guess were probably just a coincidence, since I have a looooong history of having problems with computers. I think they hate me. So where does that leave our investigation so far? It leaves us with a lot of maybes, possiblies and who knowses. It sounds typical of a paranormal investigation. The only thing we have determined for certain is that next time I need to take a bleeping flashlight!

I don't know if this has anything to do with anything, but my computer has been going bonkers ever since the night I was sneaking around in that cemetery. Every time I tried to watch a video it froze up and the screen turned white. I had to shut it down and clean everything out and reboot it. It seems to be working okay for now. This is a brand new laptop and it hasn't given me any problems but I did have it with me in the truck when I went to the spooky old cemetery. Maybe it got infected with some evil spirit. Or maybe it's just a cheap piece of Chinese junk. Oh, wait...it's not made in China. Well, whatever. If I see a pair of spooky blue eyeballs pop up on the screen you all are going to hear a computer scream as it sails through the air. ;D

Some people may be wondering why I would go sneaking around in spooky old graveyards. Before you start jumping to the conclusion that I have some morbid fascination with dead people let me explain. There is a method to my madness.
Stiver is right when she said that most ghosts probably stay close to their families, houses or people that they care about. These things are also what most ghost stories center around. She is also right when she suggested that it is possible they may create other worlds of their own, or go wandering the universe. When it comes to ghosts, and other things of the supernatural (including UFOs), anything is possible.
So why would a ghost want to hang out in a creepy old graveyard surrounded by nothing but death and sadness and sorrow?
Here in Texas, and in many other parts of the country as well, especially in the south and southwest, there are many ghost stories that revolve around graveyards. Spirits are sometimes said to rise up out of their graves or scream in the middle of the night. Sometimes visitors to cemeteries report hearing sorrowful sobbing or panicked cries for help, even when nobody else is there. Nobody living anyway.
I have a theory about ghosts and graveyards, but first let us examine one theory of what a ghost might be.
Some ghost hunters claim that ghosts can be detected using sophisticated equipment that can pickup electromagnetic energy. I can't verify if that is true or not because like I said earlier, I have never seen a ghost. I have never detected one with electromagnetic detecting equipment either. But, just for the sake of argument let's assume that is correct.
It actually kind of makes sense when you consider the fact that the human body runs on electricity. All of the nerve impulses that flow through our bodies are electrical currents. The brain runs on electricity, and electrical pulses causes our heart to beat and our muscles to contract. This electricity has to come from somewhere...maybe our soul or spirit is the electromagnetic energy source that makes us alive.
When the body is alive this electromagnet spirit is trapped inside, but when the physical body becomes unable to continue operating, either because of illness, old age or injury, the spirit is then free to leave and roam wherever it wants...Heaven, Hell, or maybe some place in between. Perhaps it might dissipate and become one with the universe, or maybe it might travel through the stars. With unrestricted freedom and no physical boundaries the possibilities would be limitless.
So with all of the potential places it could go, why would a spirit hang around a spooky old graveyard?
What if, while we are alive, the memories and emotions that we experience leave an imprint, not just on our physical minds, but on our spirit as well? Suppose we have a fondness for a certain place that we lived, or people that we loved in life. Even after death the feelings may remain and the spirit might still have a yearning to return to those things that it cared about. This might explain why ghosts are often reported to be seen by their friends or relatives, or occupants of their former residence. They are simply returning to the people and places that they cared about in life.
This idea is kind of what I was implying in the story I wrote about the Haunted House. The ghost of the little ghost kept returning to the house she used to live in because it was the only place she knew in life.
The belief that ghosts might return to the people or places with which they had some fond memories in life is probably the most commonly accepted theory, and it makes up the vast majority of ghost stories that are told. But this still does not explain why a ghost would hang out in a cemetery. They obviously would not have any fond memories of a place where dead people are buried, especially since graveyards are most often associated with feelings of grief and sorrow, and they certainly did not live in one, so why would they return there after death?
There is another type of ghost story that is commonly told. This second type does not center around how the person lived, but rather how they died.
A lot of ghosts are claimed to haunt the areas where they met their demise, especially if their death was a violent one. Murders, car accidents, drownings, suicides...all of these have been mentioned repeatedly in ghost stories all over the country. It would seem that the emotional trauma that was sustained by the victim was so powerful that it made a lasting impact on their spirit, sometimes forcing them to relive their death over and over again. This seems especially true if the person was still young when they died, with so much of their life left unrealized. They just were not ready to let go.
These types of ghost stories most often occur in the same location where the person was killed, so once again you are probably wondering why on Earth a ghost would haunt a graveyard? What is the connection? People don't die in graveyards, they are dead long before they are buried there...or are they?
There is a little known but very morbid discovery that archaeologists have made while excavating some older cemeteries. They sometimes find scratch marks on the inside of the coffins as if the dead body were trying to claw its way out! Often the corpse itself will show similar similar clues that it might actually have tried to do such a thing. The fingernails may be peeled back or torn off completely, and the ends of the fingers may actually be worn down to the bone.
Does this mean the dead were trying to rise from their graves? Were they zombies, vampires or some other type of undead demon? Not necessarily.
The fact is that back in the old days, especially in some of the more isolated parts of the country, there were not many qualified physicians running around. Sometimes the "doctors" may have learned their entire practice simply by reading a book about medicine. With this limited amount of knowledge, and without the current technology that we have nowadays that can detect the faintest traces of life, it was very easy for people to make mistakes and pronounce a person dead before they actually were. Maybe they were seriously ill or in a coma, or they had some wound that appeared fatal. If the doctor saw no hope of recovery or simply misdiagnosed the severity of the wound, the townspeople might place the "dead body" in a coffin or pine box and bury it in the ground.
Imagine waking up in the darkness and finding yourself locked inside some tiny little wooden coffin. Imagine the horror you would feel as you realized that you had been buried by mistake and that you were going to die. Imagine the panic that would set in as you gasped for breath, slowly suffocating as you tried desperately to dig your way out, yelling and screaming and clawing at the box to no avail...
That sounds like a pretty horrible way to die to me, and I could definitely see how it might cause some lasting spiritual trauma. Maybe that is why ghosts hang out in graveyards...because that is where they died. That is also why I hang out in graveyards.
Like I said before, I have never seen a ghost. Part of me hopes that I never will, because if I ever did I would probably have a heart attack and keel over and die myself. But then again, there is that other part of me that can't help but wonder what if...?
Let us hope that curiosity does not kill the investigator.

I just got back from a camping trip in central Texas. I was looking for UFOs. I've recently received several reports of them from people who live in that area.
The place I was camping is also the same place where I had one of my own really weird experiences last year. There seems to be something about this area that attracts occurrences of high strangeness. It seems like every time I go there something strange happens. This time was no exception.
I'll give a more detailed write up later. Right now I have got to get some sleep. I didn't get any last night because the helicopters were keeping me awake.

I just recently spent a few days camping just outside of the small town of Lampasas, Texas. This is the town I grew up in. The place where I was camping is the same place I had that weird experience last summer where I heard the invisible footsteps and the knocking and ringing sounds. There always seems to be something weird going on out there. There have been a couple of UFOs sighted in this area in the past couple of weeks. One was described as a fast moving light that almost looked like a small meteor but it changed directions as it was streaking across the sky. Meteors normally don't change directions. The other UFO was described as a silver colored cigar-shaped object that hung motionless in the sky for several minutes then slowly moved behind some clouds and disappeared. I don't know what to make of the reported UFOs because I didn't see them myself. I get most of my reports from friends and acquaintances. I usually camp out in this area about once every month or two, and I usually experience something strange every time I do. This one was no exception. I didn't see anything (as usual ) but I did hear something. It was the night of the 16th and I was sitting out looking up at the stars watching for UFOs. I did not see anything interesting...not even any shooting stars or satellites. The moon was pretty bright though and it was creating a pretty good glare. After a couple of hours of nothing I decided to crawl into the tent and go to sleep because it was getting kind of cold. The temperature got down close to the freezing point that night. I woke up about 2am because I heard this weird whirring sound outside. I peeked outside but was not able to see anything. the sound kept moving around to different places, getting closer then farther away then closer. I had no idea what it was and I have never heard anything like that before. It was very high-pitched, almost like a whistle. It lasted for about an hour before it stopped and I went back to sleep. The next night I heard it again and tried once again to find out what it was but to no avail. I finally gave up and decided to go to sleep. That's when the helicopters showed up. It is not all that unusual for helicopters to be in the area because the largest military base in the country is only about 30 miles away. The army used to do some of their training exercises in Lampasas back in the 50s and 60s when my mom was growing up there, and they still fly over in helicopters every once in a while, usually on their way to other bases in the west. On the night I was camping the clowns kept circling around and around and around like a bunch of drunken bumblebees. All night long I could hear the roar of choppers flying overhead...it was almost like being in a war zone. Needless to say I did not get much sleep that night. That's probably why I was in such a grumpy mood the next day when I finally discovered what had been making that high-pitched whirring sound that I had been searching so hard for the past few nights...It was a bunch of stupid crickets! Leave it to me to waste my time investigating a bunch of bugs. I've never heard crickets that sounded like that before though. It wasn't the usual chirping noise that normal crickets normally make. I finally decided to console myself by coming to the conclusion that they must have been alien crickets...that way I won't feel like such a fool. Who knows? It could happen.

Hey everybody! I just got a tip on a possible alien abduction. I'm going to go talk to the dude tomorrow. This should be interesting because I don't hear about many abduction cases down here in my neck of the woods. There are probably more cows being abducted in this area than people and cows normally don't talk to investigators. If they did then the investigator would probably need to be investigated. I will let you know what I find out.

I did some work on my abduction case yesterday and I'm not really sure what to make of it yet. It apparently involves several UFO sightings and a series of abductions going back at least a year. I'm going to talk to the witness again tomorrow and get some more details about what happened. Right now I'll just tell you a little info about the witness. I'm not going to reveal his real name for reasons of privacy, or give out too much personal info, but I can tell a little bit about him. For the purpose of this thread I'm going to call him Dave S. (not his real name) Dave is a 33 year old dude who lives in central Texas. I have known this guy a long time and he seems like a pretty straight shooter. I haven't seen him much the past few years because he works out of state during the summer, but about ten years ago he gave me what turned out to be a really good tip on an old native American village. I was studying anthropology at the time because I have an interest in archaeology (from watching too many Indiana Jones movies). I thought the guy was nuts when he first told me about the site because the way he described it it sounded like there were arrowheads and stone artifacts and pottery just lying all over the ground. When I got out there I was even more apprehensive because it was just a big empty field on the side of a hill with no source of water for miles around. Once I started to look around though I could hardly believe my eyes. There were arrowheads and stone artifacts scattered all over the ground! it was amazing, especially since there haven't been any indians living in this area for at least a hundred years and everybody and their dog has been gathering up every arrowhead they can find during that entire time. It turns out the guy who owns the land has been keeping it a secret because he doesn't want a bunch of people going out there and grabbing everything in sight. He did give me permission to take a few samples though. The water sources that they used were interesting also. There were holes carved into the bedrock and every time it would rain the holes would fill up with water. Then they would place a flat stone over the openings at the top to keep the water from evaporating. A person could walk right by the things and not even know they were there. Anyway, my witness has come through for me before so maybe he will again. This should be interesting...I don't get to investigate many abduction cases. This is only the third one I've done and one of them was mine. (I still haven't figured that one out yet) I'll give you some details of his story as soon as I get them. This is going to be cool!

Is this the same Dave who was abducted from the hotel room, or a different Dave?

I spoke with Dave about his UFO and abduction experiences. I'm still not sure what to make of them. He said some things that were kind of weird. (as if UFOs and alien abductions aren't weird enough ) According to him he has had numerous UFO sightings within the past few years, as well as several abductions. First I'll describe the UFOs. One was what he described as a slow moving meteor that flew through the sky then suddenly made a circle around a radio tower then zipped out of sight. That sounds like a fairly typical UFO sighting. I have heard many other sightings similar to that, including one almost identical that happened in the same area way back in 1980. I located it while searching through the NUFORC website. Another one took place while he was working on a fishing boat up in Alaska. He claims that he saw a large saucer-shaped UFO hovering in the air about a quarter mile away from the boat. He said it looked just like a typical flying saucer except that it was glowing with a bright yellow light. He said that it stayed there for about an hour before he lost sight of it. He also claimed that there were several other witnesses who saw it but since I don't know who they were I have no way to contact them to verify the sighting. Another sighting supposedly took place in central Texas, where he claimed that a large round craft flew silently over his house and then just hovered in the air above him. He said that it was completely dark, with no lights at all, but looked like it was made out of metal. He claims that he sat on the front porch of his house looking up at it for several minutes then decided to go into the house and get a beer out of the fridge. (leave it to a good old Texas boy to have his priorities in order ;D ) When he came back out it was gone. His abduction experiences are even more weird. In one of them he claims that he was walking out in the woods (up in Alaska) when he saw a large bright object land in the trees about 200 yards from him. He said he went over to investigate and a bunch of tall alien beings came running through the trees towards him. He said he couldn't tell what they looked like because it was dark and they just looked like shadows. He said he tried to outrun them but they caught him and dragged him aboard a small saucer-shaped craft. He said he doesn't remember anything after that except that he woke up lying on the ground in the woods the next morning. He said his T-shirt was on backwards and his boots were on the wrong feet. Another possible abduction even occurred as he was driving down the road late one night with a girlfriend. He said that a huge bright light came flying towards him and blinded him. He slammed on the brakes and tried to stop because he couldn't see where he was going and the light surrounded him and turned into a variety of different colors that flashed all around him. He said that when the lights quit flashing his car was upside down in the ditch. He got out and started running down the road to a nearby house where he called the police and an ambulance. they were both taken to the hospital where his girlfriend was found to have a concussion and a broken arm. I am trying to locate the now ex-girlfriend (who could blame her?) to see if she can verify the details. He claims that he was abducted another time also by some being that came through the walls of his hotel room but I don't have all of the details of that one yet. I am supposed to talk to him again this weekend so I will let you know what I find out.

I am more prone to wondering how many beers elapsed during that time. If he's anything like the good ol' boys I know there were probably quite a few. A large enough number of them would definitely cut and edit memories. ;D
Actually it doesn't surprise me that he would ignore a UFO to get a beer. I remember when one some of my friends were sitting around a campfire and one of them dumped a pan of cooking grease on the fire causing it to flare up real big. Some of the grease splattered onto one of the guys pantslegs causing his blue jeans to catch on fire! He was about to dump his beer on his leg to put the fire out when he had second thoughts...instead he took a drink then reached down and got a jug of water to pour on his leg. If having your leg on fire doesn't get somebody excited then a UFO is nothing! ;D

Hi, everybody! I'm back from my temporary leave of absence. I had a few personal things that I needed to take care of. Maybe now that all of that nonsense is over with I can get back to talking about UFOs. But first I want to discuss a few interesting things that I did this past weekend. On Friday I attended a Christmas party for the faculty and teachers of one of our local high schools and while I was there I met Davy Crockett's great, great, great nephew. Davy is a legend down here in these parts. The interesting thing that I noticed is that there is a strong, strong, strong resemblance between Davy and his great, great, great nephew, whose name is Greg. I remember seeing a portrait that had been painted of Davy Crockett back when he was alive and the two people look almost identical. It was like Davy had walked into the future. On Saturday I attended a celebration of the 100th year anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. My best friend has a fifteen year old son who recently attained the rank of Eagle Scout. I am very proud of him. It is people like this who have the dedication and perseverance to work hard and attain their goals that the future of this country depends upon. Maybe there is still hope for us after all. I also talked to Dave again this weekend and got some more details of one of his abduction experiences. This is the most detailed encounter that he remembers. He said it happened in October of 2009, although he does not remember the exact date. Dave was staying in a hotel at the time and was lying in bed one night trying to sleep when suddenly a bright light started shining through the window. Other lights of different colors started flashing around him inside the room. He got out of bed to see what in the world was going on when three alien beings suddenly materialized in the room. He described them as being about five feet tall with big round heads, large eyes with dark pupils, and bluish-gray skin. He also said they had small pointy ears like Mr. Spock. They were wearing tight fitting blue uniforms with silver belts, and some strange insignia on their chest. He said that the beings tried to grab him and he struggled and fought back until one of them shot him with some type of beam of light that paralyzed him. The next thing he remembers is floating up in the air towards their space craft. Once on board the craft he claims that they strapped him down to a table and performed several strange experiments on him. He said they stuck needles into his arms, legs and stomach, inserted some type of implant into his ear, and shoved a long tube down his throat. After that he said they took him into a different room and forced him to watch a big television screen that showed all sorts of different images on it, mainly of violence and destruction, but also some that were just weird colored patterns that kept changing. They then told him that he had a job to do, but they wouldn't tell him what it was. After that he lost consciousness and did not wake up again until the next morning. That is the only time Dave remembers an experience like that occurring but he thinks that the aliens may still be abducting him. He claims that he sometimes wakes up in the morning with fresh needle marks all over his body. He showed me some that he claimed had been made just the night before, and while I admit that some of them did seem to be needle punctures, a lot of them looked more like insect bites to me. I don't know what type of bug would be biting people this time of the year. There certainly aren't any mosquitoes buzzing around. I'm not really much of an expert on bugs though. All I know is that I like them the most when they are squashed under my shoe. That's all I have to report right now but I plan to continue working on this case for a while. There are a few ideas that I have that I want to look into. If anybody has any suggestions I would love to hear them. I have been investing a lot of time into this because I want to make sure I do a thorough investigation. Like I said before, I don't get to do many abduction cases, and I just want to make sure I do the best job I can with this one. I think that the abduction phenomenon is the key to solving this whole UFO puzzle. If we can figure out what is causing the abductions, then all of the other pieces will fall into place.

The ones that I remember were naked also. At least as far as I could tell. I was lying down at the time and could only see them from the waste up but there were no clothes evident at all. I'm really not sure what to make of Dave's experience yet. He seems sincere about it but he has said a few things that have raised questions in my mind. I have never heard of any other accounts of beings fitting the description of the ones that he described either. I am trying to keep an open mind so I don't accidentally jump to the wrong conclusions. We'll see what happens.

Sorry, Lorelei. I forgot to answer your question. It was a very long weekend.
Dave said the beings communicated with him verbally. He said they spoke english but their voices had a very high-pitched squeaky tone to them...almost like a cartoon character.

Well, I was right about the bug bites. I just found out that the motel that Dave is staying in is infested with bed bugs. Some of the other guests there have complained of being bitten during the night also. It is a pretty cheap place, definitely not the type of place that I would want to spend the night in. It kind of makes me wonder why he is even staying there. The dude made over $60,000 this past summer. With that type of money he could practically buy a house, so why live in a sleazy motel? Maybe the aliens didn't give him his brain back the last time they abducted him. Who knows? This explains some of the marks that he had on him, although some of them did still look like needle marks. Hmm...It appears I am going to have to do some more investigating. I'll keep you posted.

December 21, 2010
Today I took a look a the police report from the accident where Dave and his girlfriend (now ex-girlfriend) ended up with their car upside down in a ditch. He told me before that he was blinded by a huge bright light, and was then surrounded by multi-colored flashing lights, and the next thing he knew he was in the ditch.
That is not what the police report says, however. According to the report, Dave told the investigating officer that he swerved to avoid a deer that ran out in front of him and that was why he ran off of the road.
I later asked Dave about the discrepancy and he said that he made up the story about the deer because he didn't want the officer to think he was crazy. I suppose I can understand that. I don't like to tell people about my paranormal encounters for that same reason. (except you guys, since you all think I'm a nut anyway ;D ) I don't know if I would lie to a police officer if a UFO ran me off the road, but I might not volunteer any unnecessary info. Still, I have to wonder...if he is willing to lie to a police officer, would he lie to me also?
At least I was able to verify that the accident did occur, and the girl did have a head injury and a broken arm. The report also said there was no evidence of alcohol involved, so that would rule out drunk driving as a cause.
I need to find out where that girl is. I think she is the key to solving this mystery. If I could talk to her I could verify which version of the story is true, and I bet that since she is his ex-girlfriend, she would probably tell me the truth.

Gecember 23, 2010I have known Dave for a very long time and I never noticed anything about him that would make me suspect he was using drugs. Of course, I haven't seen him much the past few years since he started working up in Alaska during the summers. That may be something that I need to look into. I spoke with Dave's boss at work recently and he told me that Dave is a very responsible person. He said that he always shows up on time for work, is a very hard worker, and is very reliable. That sounds like the Dave that I used to know. He always was one of the hardest working dudes I ever met. He has always seemed very honest also, and he sounds very sincere when talking about his UFO/abduction encounters. I admit I am not exactly a professional investigator, especially when it comes to abduction cases since I haven't done very many of them, but I am pretty good at knowing when somebody is lying to me, and I don't think he is. I have to admit though, that he has said a few things that have raised questions for me. I searched all over the internet trying to match the description of the aliens he described (bluish skin, pointy ears, large eyes...) to any other encounters that have been reported, and the first thing that popped up on the net was the "aliens" from Avatar. I can't find any other reported abduction anywhere that matches the details of what he described. That doesn't mean that it didn't happen though, it just makes me wonder. We should know soon enough if he is telling the truth or not. I found out where the girl that was in the accident lives. She moved to a small town up close to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. I have her address and home phone number but she is out of town right now visiting some relatives for Christmas and won't be back until the beginning of January, so I won't be able to talk to her until then. I intend to get to the bottom of this though. I'll let y'all know what happens.

December 26, 2010
My "alien abduction" investigation appears to be falling apart. I spoke with Dave again last night and he told me something that is now making me question everything he told me in the past. He just described an incident that supposedly took place about a month ago in central Texas.
He said that he was out in the woods helping a friend look for a cow that was missing when he was attacked by some indians. He claims there were three naked indians shooting at him with bows and arrows. Now, I realize it may sound a little bit strange, but I would be more prone to believe that aliens might come down from outer space and zap somebody with a ray gun than to believe a story about three naked indians shooting arrows at somebody, and here is why...
First of all, there have not been any indians living in this part of the country for well over a hundred years. Second, if there were any I doubt that they would be running around shooting arrows at people. And third, if a bunch of indians did start shooting arrows at somebody I seriously doubt they would have missed. Native Americans do not exactly have a reputation for being incompetent when it comes to using a bow and arrows.
The thing that really makes me question this story, however, is the fact that Dave claims there was a witness with him who could verify what happened. It just so happens that this "eye-witness" is one of my relatives so it was very easy for me to track him down. In fact, I just got off of the phone with him.
According to what my relative told me, there were no indians with bows and arrows. He said that Dave was running around hiding in the bushes, yelling and screaming about indians, and generally making a fool of himself.
So what does this mean? It means that Dave was either lying about the story, or he was hallucinating. And if he could hallucinate about imaginary indians than he could very easily hallucinate about aliens also.
I am beginning to think that this case may have nothing to do with UFOs or aliens. I think I have a hunch about what really might be going on here and I am going to check it out first thing tomorrow morning. I'll let you all know what I find out.

That's an interesting thought there, Iseen. I kind of had a little experience like that myself where I was driving through a warehouse district in Pittsburgh in the daytime when I looked out the window to my left and I saw this big old Victorian style house with a little lake in back. It was night time all of a sudden, and there was a dinner party going on with people dressed up in the type of formal clothes they would have worn back in the 1800s. I could see colorful Japanese style lanterns hanging in the trees and people walking along the boat dock down by the lake. I watched it for several seconds then when I turned away it was daytime again and there was nothing there but warehouses. I'm still not sure what exactly happened there but it was very interesting. I would love to find out if that house ever really existed in that location.
The question about whether the man looking at your friend thought she was a ghost was interesting also. A time loop, or displacement, may be a possible explanation for what ghosts are and why they keep showing up in the same location. Or maybe it could have been some type of psychological time travel where if a person travels through time in their minds they may actually show up as a ghost in the time period they travelled to. Or, another explanation might be that your friend was having sort of a past life regression where she was remembering something that actually happened, so the person looking at her in the station may actually have been looking at the real person that she had once been.
There are all sorts of fascinating possibilities. This is one of the reasons why I like investigating paranormal phenomenon, because I really get to use my imagination when trying to come up with solutions to these puzzles. The hard part is proving them. In Dave's case I sincerely hope it is a time loop or some other type of unexplainable phenomenon, because the thing that I am suspecting is not good. I should know by tomorrow though.

December 29, 2010I'm afraid that my "alien abduction" investigation has come to a tragic end. I have just confirmed that this case has nothing to do with UFOs, aliens or abductions. Instead it has a very down to earth explanation. I apologize for wasting everybody's time.

I have been debating whether or not I should tell people this, for a variety of reasons. The first being that I first started this thread when I was on Ufomania, and I obviously am not there anymore. I have been wondering whether I should start it back up at all. It doesn't really hold the same meaning for me now that it did back then. I finally decided that I will resume it though, because it has the potential to be a very interesting thread and it belongs here on this forum. The other reason why I wasn't sure I should reveal this is because I was not sure how it would effect the people involved. Back in December I started investigating what I thought at first might be an alien abduction. Over the course of the next several weeks I spent a lot of time and a lot of money tracking down every lead I possibly could in order to find out what really happened. It turned out that it had nothing to do with aliens, or abductions. In fact, it had nothing to do with anything paranormal at all. The truth is that it is all too normal, and much too common. I was a little worried that telling the truth might end up hurting my witness, and I definitely would not want to do that, but after thinking about it I realize that there is nothing I could do to him that he hasn't already done to himself. I never revealed any personal information about him so there is no way anybody could figure out who he is...and besides that, I think the people here deserve to know the truth about what really happened concerning Dave and his "alien abduction." So I am going to tell everybody the truth. The fact is that Dave is a drug addict. This is something that came as a total surprise to me, even though I have known him for well over ten years. I never had any idea. Looking back on it now, after the research that I have done recently, I realize that I should have recognized the signs, but at the time I just didn't see them. I have never had any experience with drugs myself so I just didn't know anything about them, or about how people behave when they are using them. I am beginning to learn quite a bit though. Dave has been arrested more than two dozen times in just the past eight years, for a variety of drug and alcohol related charges. I found that out by looking at his criminal record, which is probably something I should have done in the beginning. It just never occurred to me that he might be a criminal. He has always been one of the most responsible and hardest working people I have ever known. The truth came as a total shock to me. This just goes to show how little we really now about the people we interact with every day, whether here on the internet, or our closest friends. I talked with Dave's ex-girlfriend recently, and she confirmed what I already had learned from the arrest record. She told me that on the night that they had the accident not only was Dave using drugs, but he was very intoxicated too. She said the only bright white light she saw was the headlights of the car they almost hit head-on because Dave was driving the wrong way in the wrong lane. The colored lights he remembered after that were from the police car, ambulance and tow truck that showed up to pull him out of the ditch. The police report did not mention anything about aliens. The incident at the hotel room had a similar explanation. I saw the police report from that one also. Dave claims that blue-skinned aliens came through the walls and tried to grab him, but the report says otherwise. It seems that the hotel manager heard Dave screaming in his room and thought Dave was being murdered, so he called the police. When they showed up they found Dave totally out of his mind and fighting with the furniture. Apparently he put up a good fight, because he practically demolished the room. If I am ever attacked by a chair or a lampshade I will know who to call. The police report said they found a large quantity of narcotics in Dave's suitcase, as well as an equally large quantity of them in his bloodstream. He was so high his brain cells were doing cartwheels and loop-de-loops, and they had to take him to the hospital to detox him. This report also did not mention anything about aliens. So now you know the truth about what happened. There are some more details to this story, and I am still learning new things about it every day. I am planning to write a more detailed article once I find out all of the facts, I just need a little more time to gather the information. I'll let you all know as soon as I get it done. I haven't decided what my next investigation is going to be yet either. I don't think I will be tackling any more alien abduction cases for a while. I think I will concentrate on something easier like looking for the holy grail or something like that. Whatever it is though, I am sure it will be interesting. It always is.
