I have a question...actually I have a bunch of questions because I didn't have a clue what some of that stuff was. Here are just a few of them. What do they mean that Pluto and Uranus are "square?" Is that some kind of mathematical term? Does that mean that they are lined up in their orbits, like a planetary conjunction, or did I totally get in the wrong boat? How can Pluto have such a dramatic astrological effect if it is no longer considered a planet. My understanding is that Pluto is a tiny little thing even smaller than our own moon, and there are a bunch of other tiny little planet-like things out beyond that one. I'm assuming these astrological calculations were created when everybody thought Pluto was the 9th planet with nothing out beyond that, but with the more recent astronomical knowledge we have gained about the exo-planets and their relationship to Pluto would that have any effect on these old astrological predictions? What's a monad? What is a Seed idea? What is sacred space? Obviously I am not very astrologically literate. That's probably because I'm a Taurus which means I'm bull-headed...stubborn as a bull? Full of BS? I'm going to read the other article and see if it makes any more sense to me.

I like some of these predictions they are making. "our government is finally going to go thru a major change. Both scary and needed." Ruby Page
"Unrest. Polarisation between those who want change and those who want to keep the status quo." Lynda Stevens
"a truly major shift that will surpass all previous shifts...The world is headed towards "rock bottom," a place we need to get to in order to wake up to higher consciousness for humanity and the world." Philip Young
"a very rebellious/revolutionary and transformative ride that will create a major energetic shift globally." Susan PowellThat sounds like some major political upheaval is about to take place with the governmental Powers that be on the receiving end up a butt kicking. Rebellious and revolutionary...that's my type of stuff. "The last series of squares was between 1932 and 1934, with five exact hits. Many of the fears astrologers have about the upcoming series are based on what happened to the world in the early 1930Œs, the Great Depression, political and social upheaval, and the rise of dictators and extremism."Boy are we having plenty of that right now. It is uncanny how similar conditions are right now to the way they were in the 20s and 30s. We seem to be repeating history all over again. I suppose that is what happens when people don't learn from their mistakes...they are doomed to repeat them all over again. Don't know if the similarities have anything to do with astrology...(probably more likely stupidity : ...but it is an interesting coincidence.

I'm assuming these astrological calculations were created when everybody thought Pluto was the 9th planet with nothing out beyond that, but with the more recent astronomical knowledge we have gained about the exo-planets and their relationship to Pluto would that have any effect on these old astrological predictions? Full of BS? ::) I'm going to read the other article and see if it makes any more sense to me. :-/ Hi,
>I'm going to read the other article and see if it makes any more sense to me.
Guessing without baseline knowledge of a subject generally leads to confusion.
>Pluto and Uranus are "square?
A square is a visual geometrical configuration which is recognized as being 90° 'apart'. Depending upon the planets and or signs involved in the square configuration determines whether the configuration may be viewed as having either a negative or a positive influence aspect. Generally however, a square between the planets Pluto and Mars (or in this case the depositor...sign ruled by Mars, which is Aries), is typically considered as being a negative aspect.
>How can Pluto have such a dramatic astrological effect if it is no longer considered a planet.
In Astrology Pluto is perceived as being a 'planet', while astronomers continually debate the rules of what they deem constitutes a planet...its nothing new. However, it also is interesting to realize that "Pluto" was predicted to exist, centuries before astronomers discovered Pluto. It is also to fascinating to realize that Astrologers not only predicted the body, but that they predicted its exact location or 'spot' of the orbit which was later discovered to contain the solar-system body which was later named "Pluto" by astronomers 'borrowing' the ancient Astrological name for the then newly discovered planet. Astrologers could 'see' the inferential influence of the then (prior to the discovery of the physical Pluto) invisible planet in their planetary motion charts.
However, to address the actual question you asked, which I'll answer with a corollary, --one may debate the existence of a bullet, and deem it does not exist, yet should one be shot with it, does it still exhibit influence?
>What is sacred space? ???
Any location, whether physical or virtual that Humans deem as being special.
>What is a Seed idea?
Generally speaking, a 'Seed' is the beginning process of a new life. In UFO-Spiritual speak, a Seed is a new kind of Human soul which is purportedly beginning to be 'seen' as incarnating in the Earth plane. One of these 'newly' reported classes involves the so-called Indigo-Children and the so-called 'Star-Seeds'.
>What is a Monad?
Essentially, as I understand things, and speaking from a Mystical perspective, 'Monad' more or less connotes 'the Oneness' or the 'OneSelf', an aspect of the OneSource. Monad may be recognized as having the connotation as the Hebrew 'Yod Heh Vav Heh' or the Christian mispronunciation as "Jehovah".
Incidentally these last three notions have no relation to Astrological subject.
<<< Obviously I am not very astrologically literate. That's probably because I'm a Taurus which means I'm bull-headed...stubborn as a bull? >>>
Being a 'Taurus' does not automatically confer one as a bull-headed or stubborn person, although some folks born under that sign may also exhibit the affliction. The triplicity of depositor of Taurus is 'Earth', which is more likely the indication of sedentariness which may be seen as being hard-headed or resistant to change. On the other hand, being a Taurian, which is ruled by Venus, the benefactor of Beauty and Love also typically indicates that one has an affinity for things of Love and Beauty, while often being a bit resistant to change. Hee hee, see what I mean?
However, one must not rely on simply one placement in a Horoscope, for are we not ALL of the planets and signs? It is the fullness of the chart which depicts the fullness of who we are, while our Sun sign, does intricate the 'id' of us...our ego-self. Taurians, are also known to be the silent doers, creators of things that others endorse, embrace, admire, love...all in the Majik of the Sun lit glow of Venus...baybee!
Cheers,

Nice explanation. Here's an agent of Khaos (mine) additional comments. It isn't that the stars or planets make things happen. IMO. It's that things happen cyclically and the stars and planets are in a particular arrangement and the whole universe (physical and metaphysical) is in a particular pattern which is PREDICTABLE (somewhat). My husband and I are both Cancer rising Leo. He contacted me after discovering this fact (I was somewhat indifferent to signs although I have noted that I've been in relationship with a fair amt. of Virgos and they are (to me) difficult.) I'd never attempted a union with my same same sign.
We are so easy together! Not every moment of course. But our solutions make sense to both of us. Neither of us holds grudges (see Virgo). I have two lovely woman friends who are Virgo (Boy I surround myself with them) and both are mellow - but they work on it. But when one friend had the task of being her daughter's wedding coordinator she almost drove everyone around her - away! She was obsessed with details to a degree that almost frightened me. (She is better now and no more weddings on the horizon). I don't think a star shining when she arrived (outside her Mom) MADE her the way she is but she and those who share birthday do have behavors in common. So when a tiny little innocent baby is born in September they just may be in a larger pattern that astrologers predict but do not really understand "why". IMHO.

Thanks for the info, Plutronus. I think it is pretty obvious that I don't know much about astrology although I did read the book Sun Signs once and I have to admit that it described me pretty well...or at least it did 30 years ago when I first read it. I haven't looked at it since then so maybe I have changed a little. I dunno. I have often wondered how the positions of the stars and planets could have any outcome on people here on Eart but apparently a lot of people believe that astrology and horoscopes work so maybe there really is something to it. I have no idea what or why it happens though. I kind of like the idea that Paulette had. It kind of makes sense that things happen in cycles and this is what influences people born at different times. Everything else has a cycle so why not the universe? It would still be nice to understand exactly what and why those cycles happen though. I have many questions and few answers. I guess I'll add that to my list of unexplained mysteries to wonder about.

A Horoscope, or simply, 'chart', is a map of the celestial bodies at the moment of one's incarnation into the physical Asiya plane. The birth or 'natal chart', indicates one's initial behavioral course which indicated by the planets/signs at the moment of the vibrational cycle when the soul incarnates. The Sun's position (RA...manifestation of God) is the Shinn of one's life-power. A natal-chart indication is a bit like a river, on which one finds their boat afloat in the beginning of that life's incarnation journey. The river's channel dictates the general direction that the boat floats, while the boat may bounce about on the rocks, and or move from shore to opposite shore. In time there will be presented tributaries along the course, eg, other branches of the river and depending upon one's position on the river will determine whether one changes rivers. Irregardless, it is ALWAYS OUR ACTIONS that dictate our general course. We are responsible for our actions.
In Astrology, one may caste a contemporary chart, a chart of the current moment in one's life, and then using both the natal birth chart and the chart of the moment, the two charts may be overlaid for comparison. This process is known as 'synastry'. Using synastry comparison one may see how one's soul has evolved/changed. Vedic or Lahiri Astrology is best utilized for determination of the Spiritual matters of one's course, while Tropical or Medieval Christian Astrology is best for the mundane aspects (they are 30° degrees apart in intrication), however, both methods are useful for either information, it just takes a little longer. To gain a glimpse of the underlying cyclical nature of Astrology, it is interesting to notice that the primary difference in the type of information revealed via the two Astrology methods, --Tropical (Christian authorities misunderstood the Earth's planetary precession...wobble, reason for seasons) while Vedic Astrology, takes into consideration the precession, the resulting indicative difference is a mere 30°. It is a phase relationship whose difference highlights either mundane (Tropical) aspects of one's life or the Spiritual (with the 30deg) aspects. Vedic Astrologers in ancient times were fully aware of the planetary precession while Christian authorities...the priest cast (everyone else was forbidden under the threat of the pain of death) to practice Astrology, were unaware of the precession.
However that may be, Sir Isaac Newton, the famous mathematician, became so, learning higher mathematics, as result of his burning desire to more fully understand Astrology, a subject he fervently defended and practiced until his death. At one time, he was attacked by a comtemporary regarding his 'ridiculus study of Astrology' amidst laughter in the group to which Isaac Newton retorted, "Sir, you have not studied subject!"

There are other modalities in effect that are mostly unknown by the general population of Earth, Astrology **DOES NOT DICTATE** our behavior, rather, Astrology is the science of reading an instrument that depicts behavior. I like to think of it, as being like the speed-o-meter in an automobile. It is my opinion that our planets are quantum-entangled via our specific-time-lines to us, rather than vice-versa.
Envision if you will a speedometer in a car, only the driver is unaware that he/she is controlling the speed of the vehicle in which they ride. They are unaware that they press the gas-valve pedal in the actions of their lives. The more they press on the pedal, the more gas is allowed to flow into the motor, causing it to turn the crank faster, the drive shaft and the attached wheels. While looking at the speedometer in disbelief of how it reveals the speed of the car?
Truth of how we function is essentially hidden from us, in fact it is historically one of the verboten sciences. This reality is the underlying reason that the Secret Brotherhoods exist, the little hidden schools that teach those who awaken to the reality, that they reside inside the Matrix (the name that the Remote-Viewers invented for the structure, that they all can see, for which the idea was 'borrowed' and was the basis of the movie of the same name). The Matrix is a psionic contrivance. The function is hidden from us, if we all understood how this reality in fact works, we would soon learn how to escape. There are a few who are awake.
Astrology is an ancient tool, which is more like a bar-code reader. Our MZL (= Hbr = Skt = Kharma) regulates the natural vibrational existence of our Souls' incarnational state. The Samskaric residual (= Skt = Hbr = Qlifah) of the Akashic Records are stored 'within' the Sphiroth of our energy template...the Tree-Of-Life. The Tree is a psionic reality generator. It generates our time-lines directly dependent upon our MZL. Our Trees are being manipulated through abduction, an ancient strategy used, keeping us vibrating in the lower vibrational realms of consciousness, sole purpose to circumvent us from awakening into the higher vibrational realms of behavior which is our natural birth-right and would be our natural evolutionary course if left to our natural behaviors.
Incidentally, synastry Astrology is my specialty. I especially enjoy assisting folks with their relational matters using synastry.
Cheers,
plutronus
