www.strangerdimensions.com/2013/05/23/top-5-celebrity-time-travelers/these are great... Top 5 Celebrity Time TravelersPosted by: Rob Schwarz in Time Travel May 23, 2013 What's the number one rule of time travel?Don't ever let anyone take your picture! How many times do we have to go over this? Not taking the proper precautions during your impromptu time voyages could easily create a time paradox, the result of which could cause a chain reaction that would unravel the very fabric of the space-time continuum and destroy the entire universe! But whatever. No one listens. Here are five examples of high-profile celebrities who just can't seem to follow the rules.
Nicholas Cage in 1870This old-timey photograph clearly shows everyones favorite madman, Nicholas Cage, during a brief stop in Tennessee circa 1870. The photo popped up on eBay a couple years ago, with the seller claiming that Cage is, in fact, some sort of walking undead / vampire, capable of reinventing himself once every 75 years or so. But we all know the truth. Put the Flux Capacitor away, Mr. Cage.
John Travolta, Victorian StyleThis one, an ambrotype of John Travolta in the Victorian era, also ended up on eBay. Oh, what's that? These are just lookalikes and the people who listed the photos on eBay were just having a laugh? I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it. That is interesting. I have never heard this word Doppeigangers before. On many occasions when my oldest was between ages seven to about 12, he stated he seen him self in the same room of the house. I always blamed it on a dream. Was he hallucinationg? As an adult he still will tell you it was real. For some reason he never tried to move when looking at this other being. He often said he wanted to run away but could not. On one occasion he was doing school work and felt someone our family had came into the room . He turned toward the bedroom door and to the right was a book case. This being was sitting on it. It was smiling back at him . He could not get out of his chair. He said it vanished slowly right in front of him. Don't recall exactly how the other events played out. I know there was one when he was out in the yard and was up in our tree. He looked down to see someone walking around in the backyard. The limbs were in the way but the person walked out from under the tree and he could see he was watching himself. I do not remember what he did or what happened next. I thought maybe it was a dream the night before and somehow when he was up in this tree he imagined his dream happening for real. We keep these weird events to ourselves . Never even told my own Mother. I will remember that name and have him research it. As far as I know this has not happen in his adult life. This world is so strange. I think it is the human mind and nothing to do with the world.. a lot of phenomena.

I've a feeling Lois..that all knowledge is in our brain...as well as the ability to heal and predict and perform many powerful things. We just don't know the buttons to push.

I'm sorry I can't see the mystery there. They are just photos that look like people we know and we make connection because these people are famous...but we all have look alikes somewhere. My son looks identical to his great great grandfather..so maybe these are hereditary ancestors way back on some family tree. It doesn't mean the answers are super natural...even though it's fun to think vampire or time traveler. Our minds are geared to hope life isn't as stale and mundane as it seems to be I think. I want to see ALL of the colors of the rainbow and be as familiar with the unseen world as I am this one..so I look for anomalies..but in this I just see old photos who look like celebrities. I'm pretty sure Keanu Reeves isn't a vampire..seen him lately? He looks more like the Pillsbury dough boy and the recent pictures of Travolta in drag..wall dang.. ;D

All of the physical characteristics that people have are mixed in our genes. They all keep showing up over and over again so there could be people who practically look like identical twins but they may be hundreds of years apart from one another. They don't even have to be closely related or have the same ancestors.

The universe is full of mysteries that challenge our current knowledge. In "Beyond Science" Epoch Times collects stories about these strange phenomena to stimulate the imagination and open up previously undreamed of possibilities. Are they true? You decide. The mythology of spirit doubles can be traced back thousands of years and was present in many cultures of the past, holding a prominent place in ancient legends, stories, artworks, and in books by various authors. Perhaps the most well-known reference to spirit doubles or ‘alter egos’ is the doppelgänger, a word still used today to refer to a person that is physically or behaviourally similar to another person. Doppelgänger is a German word meaning “double goer” and it refers to a wraith or apparition that casts no shadows and is a replica or double of a living person. They were generally considered as omens of bad luck or even signs of impending death – a doppelgänger seen by a person’s relative or friend was said to signify that illness or danger would befall that person, while seeing one’s own doppelgänger was said to be an omen of death. Some accounts of doppelgängers, sometimes called the ‘evil twin’ suggests that they might attempt to provide advice to the person they shadow, but that this advice can be misleading or malicious. They may also attempt to plant sinister ideas in their victim’s mind or cause them great confusion. For this reason, people were advised to avoid communicating with their own doppelgänger at all costs. One of the most famous depictions of doppelgängers comes from the 1851 sketch and 1864 watercolour called ‘How They Met Themselves’ by Dante Gabriel Rossetti. According to interpretation, two medieval lovers are walking through the woods at twilight when they encounter their doubles who glow supernaturally. The man draws his sword in astonishment, while his lover appears to collapse in a deathly swoon. Doppelganger imagery occurred in poems Rossetti admired such as Elizabeth Barrett Browning’s The Romaunt of Margaret and Poe’s Silence. paranormal.about.com/od/Doppelgangers/a/doppelgangers.htmTrue Stories of Doppelgangers & Bi-Location Incredible true cases of exact doubles.By Stephen Wagner Paranormal Phenomena Expert May 18, 2015 DO YOU HAVE an exact double somewhere in the world? Can a person be in two places at once? There are many intriguing accounts throughout history of people who claim to have either encountered apparitions of themselves -- their doppelgangers -- or have experienced the phenomenon of bilocation, being in two separate locations at the very same time. "Doppelganger" is German for "double walker" -- a shadow self that is thought to accompany every person. Traditionally, it is said that only the owner of the doppelganger can see this phantom self, and that it can be a harbinger of death. Occasionally, however, a doppelganger can be seen by a person's friends or family, resulting in quite a bit of confusion. In instances of bilocation, a person can either spontaneously or willingly project his or her double, known as a "wraith," to a remote location. This double is indistinguishable from the real person and can interact with others just as the real person would. EMILIE SAGÉE One of the most fascinating reports of a doppelganger comes from American writer Robert Dale Owen who was told the story by Julie von Güldenstubbe, the second daughter of the Baron von Güldenstubbe. In 1845, when von Güldenstubbe was 13, she attended Pensionat von Neuwelcke, an exclusive girl's school near Wolmar in what is now Latvia. One of her teachers was a 32-year-old French woman named Emilie Sagée. And although the school's administration was quite pleased with Sagée's performance, she soon became the object of rumor and odd speculation. Sagée, it seemed, had a double that would appear and disappear in full view of the students. In the middle of class one day, while Sagée was writing on the blackboard, her exact double appeared beside her. The doppelganger precisely copied the teacher's every move as she wrote, except that it did not hold any chalk. The event was witnessed by 13 students in the classroom. A similar incident was reported at dinner one evening when Sagée's doppelganger was seen standing behind her, mimicking the movements of her eating, although it held no utensils. The doppelganger did not always echo her movements, however. On several occasions, Sagée would be seen in one part of the school when it was known that she was in another at that time. The most astonishing instance of this took place in full view of the entire student body of 42 students on a summer day in 1846. The girls were all assembled in the school hall for their sewing and embroidery lessons. As they sat at the long tables working, they could clearly see Sagée in the school's garden gathering flowers. Another teacher was supervising the children. When this teacher left the room to talk to the headmistress, Sagée's doppelganger appeared in her chair -- while the real Sagée could still be seen in the garden. The students noted that Sagée's movements in the garden looked tired while the doppelganger sat motionless. Two brave girls approached the phantom and tried to touch it, but felt an odd resistance in the air surrounding it. One girl actually stepped between the teacher's chair and the table, passing right through the apparition, which remained motionless. It then slowly vanished. Sagée claimed never to have seen the doppelganger herself, but said that whenever it was said to appear, she felt drained and fatigued. Her physical color even seemed to pale at those times.

www.strangerdimensions.com/2017/07/22/what-are-doppelgangers/ What Are Doppelgangers? Your Mysterious, Ghostly TwinsPosted by Rob Schwarz / plus.google.com/+RobSchwarz007 July 22, 2017 Have you ever run into yourself?Ever had a friend claim they saw you somewhere you know you hadn’t been? Ever spotted yourself in a photograph…standing next to yourself? You’d be surprised at the number of strange cases in which people have encountered their own, mysterious doubles. But what are they? Where do they come from, and what is their purpose? What Are Doppelgangers?Doppelgangers are doubles of living people. Sometimes, they appear as apparitions, lacking shadows or reflections. Other times, they seem perfectly real, bizarre clones of unsuspecting individuals. In folklore and paranormal circles, their appearance may be seen as an unfortunate omen of terrible things to come. Of death. The idea of doppelgangers has existed throughout history. You could, vaguely, trace it back to the idea of souls. The Ancient Egyptians may have referred to them as ka — a person’s “vital spark” or essence. If the ka were to leave the body, the person would die. In fact, the existence of ka was likely one of the reasons for the Egyptians’ extensive burial preparations — they wanted to make sure that the ka was given appropriate accommodations after the death of their body. In 1787, the English antiquarian Francis Grose referenced the Irish folklore of Fetch, the apparition of a living person. These, too, were seen as bad omens, usually appearing to friends or family members before the person’s death. There is one exception, though — a Fetch seen in the morning would portend a long life. The actual word, doppelgänger, comes from the German word for “double-goer” — doppel meaning double, gänger meaning walker or goer. It was first coined in 1796 by Jean Paul in his novel Siebenkäs, in which a character speaks to his own “alter ego.” Doppelgangers can also refer to simple “lookalikes,” normal people who just appear similar to others. But we’ll get to that in a moment. In more modern times, more than a few reports of alleged doppelgangers have appeared, some to rather prominent individuals. Whatever they truly are, when a person sees their doppelganger they are often left confused and more than little disturbed. www.phantomsandmonsters.com/2017/12/weekend-2-cents-was-doppelganger.html#.Wj6lNnNzp18.facebook Was Doppelganger a Harbinger?Posted by Lon Strickler / plus.google.com/+LonStrickler12-23-2017 “In the summer of 2011 my 12-yr-old twin sons were having a friend sleep over. We live in a 3-story house and all 3 of the boys were in the "basement" area playing. I was on the second floor sitting on my couch reading a book. It was early evening around dusk. All was peaceful other than the ruckus the boys were making downstairs. I was sitting there half reading my book when the boys all came running loudly up the stairs. The stairwell door was on a sliding mechanism and when they got to the top, instead of sliding it, they sort of pushed on it and it came off the track. (With it off the track, it could swing back and forth). I told them I would fix the door later. Anyway, they left the door off the track and all 3 went running up to their third floor bedroom to play. I was still on the couch when only a few seconds after all 3 had just went upstairs, I saw my son come around the corner, lift his arm and push the now swinging stairwell door open and move down the steps. He never lifted his head to look at me. His head was down the entire time, and he never said why he was going back down there. My first thought was that he looked a bit odd and moved kind of strangely. Then I thought....why didn't he say anything???......then I figured he left something down there. This all took a matter of maybe 2-3 seconds when suddenly, I heard his voice laughing and talking loudly UPSTAIRS!! I freaked out! I jumped off the couch ran over to the stairwell looked down and called his name and he didn't answer. (I swear to God this is a real story and every hair on my body was standing up and I had chills. I have them now just writing about it.) So, I ran upstairs and saw him sitting on the floor with his brother and their friend playing. Even though I knew it was completely impossible for him to be downstairs and upstairs at the same time, I asked him if he had somehow just gone into the basement. He of course said no. I swept the basement looking for a "person." I checked doors and windows and closets even though I knew that whatever that "thing" was, it looked exactly like my 12-yr-old son. It was as sold as a real person, was wearing exactly the same clothes my son had on. It was the same size as him and was able to push a solid door open and everything, only it moved a bit WEIRD and never looked at me or spoke to me. Nothing else happened that night and I never could explain it or understand it, until three years later, almost to the very day that the incident happened, my son was diagnosed with leukemia. He's undergone years of terrible cancer and chemotherapy and has battled it like a warrior. He is 19 now and his treatment has now ended. He is doing great and is in remission. Praises be to the Lord! I've always heard that doppelgängers portend bad luck or illness but I never thought that when I saw that "thing" that looked my son it meant something bad would happen to him, but the day he was diagnosed I realized why I saw what I saw. I don't know for sure if it was some sort of warning or not because it scared the hell out of me and it felt very sinister. I pray I never ever see it again." www.phantomsandmonsters.com/2017/12/weekend-2-cents-was-doppelganger.html#.Wj6lNnNzp18.facebook

We were there for a couple of hours. My brothers and I would build caves with our boogie boards by digging a small ditch and putting sand on top of the boards using the boards as the roof. While in the cave someone stepped on the top of our cave imploding it and leaving my brothers and I covered in sand. On my way to the water to clean the sand off I saw a boy who looked like my identical twin on a boogie board in the water. Stunned I walked into the water thinking I was seeing things. On the way out of the water about 10ft away the boy was staring at me. Neither of us said a thing. I know by his facial expression he must have been thinking I was his twin. Freaked out I went to my mom and told her what had happened and told her to see the kid for herself. By the time I got her to come with me the boy was gone. For the rest of our time there I looked for him but never saw him again. I thought maybe I was seeing things or just imagined seeing myself. This is one of the few memories that I vividly remember as a child. After viewing this video I truly believe that what I saw was true maybe it was me in an alternate universe or just my one twin on this earth.” Source: Youtube comments, bryan chaides ----- I Saw Myself “When I was 23 years old, I was waiting at my normal bus stop to go to work in the morning. Across the street, a man was walking and he looked like me! He was my height and build. He had my jacket, my pants, my shirt, had a walk-man in his jacked with the cord protruding from the inside pocket and the head phones on just like mine. He was wearing my Dr. Martin Combat Boots, he had the same hair as me! Now it'd be one thing if I dressed like every other average man. But I was a Punk Rock kid and all my clothes were original and it was rare to see people who were dressed like me, particularly in the early morning on their way to work! I couldn't believe it when he turned slightly and had my sunglasses on and his face was MY FACE! I yelled out to him, 'Hey dude! Hold up a sec!' He immediately began to double time it away from me and as I ran across the street he bolted fast! I'm not convinced I saw myself, but I looked exactly the same! Nothing else strange happened to me that day, the rest of the day was like any other. I will never forget it and I so regret that I couldn't talk to him and find out what this life was like for him. 'Cause for me it's been pretty f--ked up! Happy New year to all.” Source: Youtube comments, eric blood ----- 'Hey Lee!'“I was working in a big box store about 13 years ago. My name is Martin, but my family and close friends know me by Lee. One day I was walking to the back of the store down a main aisle. I glanced up and this older person is walking towards me. He looks familiar, but couldn't place his face (only now I know it was his eyes). I grew up in a different state and had just recently moved with my wife to a new city. As we got closer, I smiled and nodded. He returned the smile and then the strangest thing happened. He said "Hey Lee, you doin ok?" Not thinking, I said "yup" and kept walking. I got about 10 or so more feet when it hit me. Nobody...and I mean nobody knew my nickname here. I turned around and he was gone. I backtracked and looked all over... gone. I've only told a few people this weird point in my life. At the time, I brushed it off thinking maybe I heard him wrong and it being a big store, he just made a couple quick turns down another aisle, but I know different now... I believe it was ME. Just checking in somehow because my life would soon change. A week later my wife told me we were pregnant with our daughter. I am almost 50 now. I hope to meet myself again someday.” Source: Youtube Comments, Martin Yarman www.phantomsandmonsters.com/2018/01/contronting-our-doppelgangers.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+PhantomsAndMonstersAPersonalJourney+%28Phantoms+and+Monsters%29
