Those look like fakes to me. the Brown Mountain lights are real, just like the Marfa Lights are, but those did not look like them.

Easy answer, there are 3 explanations as to what the "lights" are and just ask any one of we N.C. natives about them and you'll get a real quick lesson in the paranormal.

I don’t doubt that they’re real, but what do you think they are? I’ve seen the Marfa lights in west Texas many times and so far they defy all scientific explanations. These so-called “ghost lights” are one of the true unsolved mysteries in the world yet scientists refuse to investigate them. If they do investigation they just brush them off as swamp gas or weather balloons or car headlights or whatever.

Yea every time we have filmed the BMLs and hear someone tell us what we recorded was Swamp gas or head lights would upset us because me and my wife are cherokee and both of our grandparents taught us growing up about a great battle being fought between the Cherokee and the Catawba Indians near Brown Mountain and the lights were spirits of Indian maidens who had come to the mountain in search of their lost husbands and sweethearts who were killed in the battle at brown mountain lights and to hear anyone laugh at what you were taught all your life was just a joke and needs debunked,I bought a drone for our future visit in the next few weeks maybe I can catch them cars headlights with the drone or maybe just maybe Ill catch a glimpse of our ancestors spirits running through the trees.

A team of scientists once conducted an investigation of the Marfa lights and came to the conclusion they were car headlights...because they were looking in the direction where the highway is visible. Of course they’re going to see cars if they’re looking at cars. That’s not where the Marfa lights are though. I’ve seen those crazy things numerous times and sometimes they look nothing like cars. Do the Brown Mountain lights always look the same or are they different from one sighting to the next?
