Is anybody else having problems with anything? A couple days ago Harmony said she couldn't post videos from Youtube and today I have had problems with both the spell checker and my admin account. I had to log in a half-dozen times because it wouldn't let me access certain things because it said I wasn't logged in. What's up with that? I wonder if these problems are affecting all of Proboards or is it just my computer?

I've been having problems, but of an entirely different sort. Before anyone says anything...well, he asks in the thread title.

Ummm...How about problems with the forum? I was originally going to make the title longer and put a bunch of four-lettered words in it but it wouldn't all fit.

I don't think the forum is messing up, Shami. Everybody else seems to be doing fine. I think it might just be my computer. I'm running a scan on it right now to see if there is anything in there that shouldn't be there. If there is I'm going to boot it out.

I've been in that kind of mood lately. ;D I've been having some odd glitches with the internet browser. Since these things are being reported by others, I wonder if the problem is not browser related and instead is something else, such as coding on websites. The strange issue with the "share" option on youtube videos, for instance, is one such odd thing. Instead of the actual address of the video's page, it instead displays a shortened version all in caps. Very, very odd.

Sky I don't think it's the forum..I think it's the sun messing electric signals. My External modem has blanked out a couple of times a day for the past week..and the whole system just seems 'sticky' off and on. Browsers misbehaving..save feature not working and costing me hours of extra work..that kind of ANNOYING stuff. I'm pretty sure it's not the aliens though.

As long as it is not the forum that is screwing up I'm happy. I can't do anything about that other stuff.

Anybody having problems here? Nope.
Did this start about the same time you registered at the new Mufon site?

Anybody having problems here? Nope. Did this start about the same time you registered at the new Mufon site? Steve I've had people trying to hack into my computer ever since I first started this forum. I have to run a scan on it every day to clear all of the garbage out. Spyware, malware, adware, rootware, and a bunch of other stuff I have never even heard of. We have the Feds spying on us from Virginia, MUFON watching us from California, and a bunch of crazy hackers from foreign countries trying to hijack my identity and take over my admin account. All of that nonsense for a little old UFO forum. With all of that going on I'm not too worried about MUFON right now. They seem to have enough problems of their own. They are still losing members every day and they are having a hard time finding replacements. I've heard some of the state directors are practically begging people to be section directors and FIs. I doubt that my signing up on their new forum would make any difference. I was registered on their other one also, and I guarantee they have known about us long before that. They are too busy turning on themselves to be worried about us.

It's too bad but it seems almost every major UFO organization has fallen apart. I am thinking about NICAP and APRO as good examples. CUFOs quietly exists but you never hear much about them. daisy

It is kind of scary isn't it? Silly too. Here we are just a group of people minding our own business and all of these people are coming after us...and for what? Because we talk about UFOs? There have actually been attempts to sabotage our forum. I'm not going to name names but they know who they are. It kind of makes you wonder if all those UFO organizations are collapsing on their own or if they are being intentionally targeted for destruction.

I notice the people running many local Mufon meetings promote conspiracy conferences constantly. A subtle crisis like atmosphere at each meeting, that keeps some stirred up & distracted, and any sensible logical thought about UFO's (remember UFO's?) pushed back so nothing ever seems to be really accomplished.
Every week I am given new information that unfortunately confirms my theory's about Mufons screwy behavior at the top.
Most of those who question why certain things are the way they are, just because they chose to not be part of such silliness end up noticing full well there is plenty more to life after Mufon. Most of the smart ones are on the outside working on their own. Free to make significant progress in UFO research for the first time. All these people needed to do was recognize the emperor has no clothes! Mufon is naked as a jaybird.
The vast majority of Mufon's remaining membership works innocently for a small group of BOD that have backgrounds and direct connections with military intelligence. New info comes in confirming this weekly.
Ironic such conspiracy people who ride on the name of Mufon at such local meetings stupidly fail to see the conspiracy in their midst. Comical really...
The problem with UFO organizations is they expend too much wasted energy internally. I think one nice thing I see forming are new groups and agency's studying the UFO / Abduction question, small and diversified, focused efficiently on the problem and witnesses meaningfully, and removed from stupid bureaucracy who's existence is only to give empty meaning to a few egos protecting their little castles.
Why does Mufon never do analysis of it's cases? Because the info collected by a few hard working well meaning FI's are eventually studied and analyzed by a few others ... that are not part of Mufon and know when they go home each day they will receive a nice government pension when they retire.
Blue Book was only 'replaced' by an information pyramid. But the forgotten who support the base of the pyramid are leaving, and the pyramid continues to crumble fast.
If some want to see Mufon gone and replaced with something less compromised...those on the outside could not wish for a sillier group of self appointed clowns in place already. Just sit back, do absolutely nothing, and watch the spontaneous implosion.
An organization originally composed entirely of questioners ....now forbidden to question itself.

By someone who does not like the truth expressed there... Exactly. That is why MUFON never releases any info about anything...because they want to control the flow of information. That's one of the reasons they shut down the old forum. They didn't like the fact that a few people were criticising them and so they silenced everybody. The government does the same thing. There is evidence that the FBI or other intelligence agencies have infiltrated all of the major UFO organizations, and they routinely moniter all of the UFO forums and websites. They don't want any of their Top Secret secrets leaking out.

Are these problems only when you are on this site? That is how it always was with me. Yep. I had similar problems when I was on the old MUFON forum and Ufomania too. This forum hasn't given me many problems so far probably because I upgraded my security system when I started it. Hopefully the recent problems were just a minor little glitch with the server and nothing permanent. It only did it for a couple of days. Everything is working fine right now.

I have so much trouble with anyone trying to control what is said on a forum..unless what is said is threatening in nature and then I myself would report it to authorities. I wouldn't sit on someone's statement that they were about to harm anyone or cooking up something in their basement. Conjecture, beliefs, superstitions, theories are how people advance, I think. We have people on this forum with amazing minds..intuitive minds, experienced minds, questing minds and minds disciplined in the art of investigation. What a great place we have here.

It seems that Proboards is still having some difficulties. I was just booted off of every forum there is and I could not log back on for almost an hour. What a pain.

I'm not sure what exactly the problem was but it was definitely with the Proboards server. It seems that all of their forums were affected. They have had this problem from time to time in the past so I'm sure it is nothing to worry about. Maybe they were working on their system or something. Hopefully whatever it was is fixed now.
