There is much evidence of this one being a hoax. Scully's witnesses were not considered reliable and one of them has a very long FBI rap sheet. Scully profited though..his book was a best seller LOL 'Here we see the major problems with the Aztec story: both Newton and Gebauer were, at best, dubious conmen. Scully published their testimony without question' www.forteantimes.com/features/articles/161/incident_at_aztec.htmlwww.nmsr.org/aztec.htm

Of course it's a well known 'debunkers' site..just as so many of the other posts are well known UFO 'groupie' sites. There has to be some balance in there somewhere or there is no point to any of us having opinions. People are entitled to see both sides of an issue to make up their own minds..not just a one sided discourse. Articles from UFO digest are just likely to be slanted in favor of UFOs. OR...I could just sit here and not post at all..that would be simpler.

I think the balance is here on the forum. Ordinary average people like us who can listen to both sides of a debate and make up our own minds. I'm not really familiar with the Aztec crash. Are the two conmen who were arrested in connection to this case the same two that were reportedly arrested in connection with the incident that was mentioned in the Guy Hottel FBI memo?
