The first part of the song is the regular tone... then the middle part that has them singing has been raised in pitch. The ending is in the original tuning too. Usually a chipmunks version of a song is sped up, that's the "old" way of doing it. This chipmunk version though has the same tempo... the pitches were just raised.
Simply amazing. I love this song... and in this version I heard a keyboard part I had not noticed before because it was so low it melded with the guitars.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Lyrics:
We're holding together we're holding out with eachother We're holding to eachother, noone holds us up We're holding you to the truth, we're holding to it fast And we follow the rules.... when one allows us to rule that is
And the shark he has tears and they're running from his face. But the shark he lives in water, so the tears cannot be seen
We keeping up the pace, we hold to our word When someone can't keep up, then halting we at once! We holding the eyes open! We holding to our arms! Six hearts. That are burning. The fire holds you warm...............
And the shark he has tears and they running from his face But the shark he lives in water so the tears cannot be seen In the deep is it lonesome and so many tears do flow And so comes it that the water in the ocean salty is...
One can from us behold whatever one there will We're holding us harmless, we're holding noone silent!

Khe Sahn By Australia's Jimmy Barnes former front man of Cold Chisel. This song is an all time favourite of mine and its about him and his mates when they fought in Vietnam alongside you Yanks. Is a beaut.

I love Simon and Garfunkel!!!
They're amazing... I got to thinking about scarborough fair, so I watched it, then I saw a "Celtic Woman" singing the same song. It was beautiful, raised the hair on my arms... I watched another song by another "Celtic Woman"... a BEAUTIFUL soprano... usually I hate sopranos but she was amazing... then I got to thinking about THIS song that was popular when I was back in high school... by Enya. Beautiful soft song.

The background music is also beautifully composed. Notice all the effects on her voice in this recording... that hides the imperfections. As a recording artist, I have learned this... She still does have a nice voice though.
