Camera resolution from lunar orbit is now enough to prove we really did go to the moon. Conspiracy people were wrong again. Of course they will say these photos were all staged too. Who needs those 'drags'. Does one clean up the area eventually? Or cordon it off to preserve as a historic monument? Sure everything over time has been well preserved. Steve Destination Moon (1950) Using up too much fuel on landing, the crew by necessity must lighten ship to return to Earth. Seems this prophetic film foresaw our human propensity for space junk too.

I think they should preserve it as a historic monument. Landing on the Moon is one of the greatest accomplishments mankind has ever achieved. I would put it right up there with inventing the wheel, discovering fire and electricity, and exploding the nuclear bomb. Landing on the Moon was slightly more constructive than the bomb. Sure, there would have to be some garbage left there to preserve the site but most of what we know about prehistory comes from the garbage the ancient civilizations left behind. To an archaeologist garbage isn't all bad.

As a society we're sometimes identified by that which we leave behind..on the moon..at least it's pretty hi tech (by our standards) and you're right Sky..one man's garbage is another's archaeological find I don't think conspiracy theorists ever give up gracefully..I'm sure this will be labeled 'staged' garbage ;D

Yep, we flew up there and put the garbage there then flew back to Earth, then we flew back up there and took pictures of the garbage that we planted there so people would think that we had flown up there when we really didn't. Makes sense to me.
