I agree that it is partially hollow but not about the spaceship part. It looks like Mr. Potato head. Couldn't they have designed it differently than that?

One cannot rule out the possibility if you consider that there are other ways of doing things distinct from our own perspective. Most of my skepticism is aimed at that tendency of ours to paint everything with our own brush. The truth is often stranger than fiction, so they say, and I find that to be true much of the time. A fascinating subject, Jo.

I think so too Bewildered. It's the kind of mystery I enjoy..I'd love to explore something that belonged to another culture..see from their perspective and try to know how they were thinking. I was reminded of it yesterday..my neighbor was very upset with her pregnant daughter. She had invited a 'friend' to the baby shower and was beside herself angry to learn that her daughter was offended by it. From my friend Nancy's perspective..she had invited a friend who would undoubtedly bring a very nice gift. From the daughters perspective..this 'friend' had abandoned their church and her mother (Nancy) and was a person she had absolutely nothing in common with + it was her party and should have been her friends. From Nancy's son-in-law's perspective..'oh for God's sake just get along and quit fighting over petty um...stuff and how long does it take for the hormones to get back to normal?' (he's a Marine..he didn't say 'stuff') One situation 3 perspectives and no one could see the other guys or actually...no one wanted to see the others. Religion is similar..everyone is so darned convinced they are right that they hold no compassion or respect for the other guys belief...to the point..throughout history...of forcing beliefs on others by torture. Bad juju.

So maybe this Phobos isn't actually an alien spaceship but possibly a hollowed out asteroid or Moon that has been modified so it could be moved around. I'm not saying that i believe that but since we are exploring other possibilities. I recently read a book called The First Men in the Moon which was about an alien race that had hollowed out our Moon and were living inside of it. Our own scientists say that if we were to build a base on the Moon it would probably have to be built underground. Maybe somebody did that to Phobos. I still think it looks like a potato.

Well it has been hanging up there exposed for awhile now. It has some interesting 'angles'.
