The Star-Tribune reported that the only time Pat was frightened was after he and his brother-in-law saw a hovering craft pick up a young calf one evening in 1976. He thought it was a government craft. He became determined to catch whomever was doing it.

Thank you UFO4peace. I had a similar case which was reported only very recently in January 2010. Me and another investigator I invited along worked on a cattle mutilation case in Sacramento near McClellan AFB that occurred in June 1964! Three years before the made famous Alamosa, Colorado Lady/Snippy case in 1967. What was so significant besides the early date of the event was the witness saw the unknown craft approach, land, entities emerged among a herd of cattle that did not run away. It occurred on a 46 acre parcel. My research found through the Air Force Base historical archives aerial photos of the area as it appeared in 1964 - showing the land area just as the witness described. The area is only partially developed now with a Post Office near where the alleged event occurred. A cattle Mutilation authority I shared the information with later said the site of this event fit all the pre-existing conditions for a classic cattle mutilation. A source of water nearby - a stream and creek bed running through the pasture where the event occurred - that originated near a nuclear facility. In this case the stream came from the nearby AFB only a mile away from an area on the base known to have a small research nuclear reactor - which also employed a large powerful x-ray apparatus to x-ray aircraft wing spars. After 20 minutes, the craft departed. The witness was in a automobile next to this field waiting for his father. Later it was reported a cow had been 'strangely mutilated' in that same pasture by it's owner. If true, this would then be the first case report chronologically to directly connect UFOs to cattle mutilations. Steve My artists description of the scene the witness described endorsed by the witness as accurate. The craft was flat on the bottom, and dome shaped across the top, no ring around it's circumference. The entities described from 100 yards away afforded little real details except the height of the entities. Their heads came up to only to the top of the cattle's shoulders. (about 4.5 feet tall).

LOL Jo,
Or maybe we haven't figured it out, and cows really are the most sentient ones in our neighborhood. The way I watch some people eat, a species that has four stomachs or four components of one stomach might be considered more advanced to some. ;D Thanks need the break from all this seriousness.

Is that true about the cow mutilations always occurring near a stream that runs from a nuclear reactor? I hadn't heard about that.

Well yes..as 'wealth', food, status or religion. I was just kidding about the sentient part A little more important than that. Cattle have been one of the principle building blocks of human civilization. Their role as a source of food and as a beast of burden was at the center of the primitive agricultural economies that were the foundation of all later human civilizations. This is interesting: In this study, they transferred rat, pig, sheep, and monkey nuclei into gutted cow eggs. These rat, pig, sheep, and monkey embryos reached a key stage in their early development — the formation of blastocyst-like structures — within periods of time that were appropriate for their respective species, though not for cattle. This gives us a preliminary indication that the residual bovine dna had no effect on the young embryos and that animals cloned in this way would not exhibit any hybrid characteristics.Cloning Red Herrings By David Longtin and Duane C. Kraemer.

In much the same fashion, "cow material" can be used for a developing virus', anti-virus, etc.
I remember a tell-all article by a scientist about this, when the internet was new. He talked openly about "patient zero" and where certain virus' actually seemed to start across the globe, coincidentally.
It was interesting also.
I think other scientists could have "debunked him" or whatever, instead of just removing his articles.

I wonder why cows are worshiped by some religions? I mean, what's so sacred about a cow? Is there something about them that makes them unique from all of the other animals on the planet? Could that be why they are being mutilated, or is it just because there are so many of them penned up in fences that they are easy targets?
