Well here it is. Another Terran type planet.
Earth, Meet Your Long-Lost Sibling: The Christmas Planet mashable.com
(got this off FB doesn't look like a link) Someone smarter than me can probably find info on it. It's big. It has oceans. It's a long way away...

It said that the planet was about twice the size of the Earth. I assume that would mean that the gravity is stronger. I wonder how the increased gravity would effect the development of any life forms that might be there? Would they be radically different from us or basically the same but stronger?

I would imagine them a bit 'squat' and more muscled. I'm sure that evolution-ally speaking..they would develop a tougher and denser exoskeleton to support their mass.

Either that or they could be built more bird-like to make them lighter. Birds have hollow bones that help them to fly, but some of the large carnivorous dinosaurs also had hollow bones...and I seriously doubt they were flying. Either they developed them simply because they were a larger relative of the birds that already had them, or they developed the hollow bones so they would be lighter and faster which would make it easier for them to put the chomps on their prey. That's assuming that they even have bones of course.
