I got caught up on the V episodes I missed last year and am watching now with enthusiasm.
I am assuming that no one here thinks that one can spray coat a lizard body with a human looking exterior (and still have the eyes change and the teeth fall out inadvertently). But maybe I should check...?
I also want to know where that wicked tail is when its not out lashing around stabbing people in the heart (Anna's tail that is...maybe queens have nastier stings).
But extrapolating from a TV show to possible or partial reality....how many people think (here) that aliens are passing as humans somehow or that their offspring are?
Just curious (gulp) ah...rat good!

'shudder' I really hate rats. I get so disgusted when I have to pick up frozen rats for my son's two 7ft boas. The snakes are really cool, their dinner uggg. Someone else can enjoy my share.
I've wondered from time to time if there might be alien races down here masquerading as humans but I really don't think so. It's my feeling that we're too unstable and emotional a race for them to want to 'blend' with and are likely to be for awhile yet. I know there have been suggestions that our fore running scientists (Einstein among others)might have been aliens down here giving us a boost but I truly don't think so. If they wanted to monkey in our evolution (no pun intended) they could do that without mingling or so I believe. There may be many races lurking around for all we know..but we (as a race) still have that passionate emotional strain that makes everything such a big deal. We are the best at making mountains out of molehills (case in point..the forums) and until we learn to apply more logic than passion I'm pretty sure they will stay observers (or scientific abductors). On the other hand..if we are headed toward some cataclysmic happenstance, then maybe they would try to save some of the human race. I believe we have wonderful potential and we're so much like that song about the 'rubber tree plant' we just do NOT give up..we hang in there and fight like the dickens to live. Those things have to count for something. Or so I believe ;D Maybe I give them credit for being all that civilized when they aren't. I just always figured if they could get from there to here..they must have ways of working together in harmony and some pretty specialized scientists of their own. I might like to do a study of a particular animal..but I wouldn't pretend to be one to get in close to the rest..I'm sure I'd end up as their dinner LOL.

I remember watching the original series. It still gives me the shivers. The scene that has stuck with me was the one where the girl was giving birth to hybrid twins. Down right scary!
As for some masquerading as us..., IMO I don't see why not. If you truly want to learn a culture, then living amongst them is the best way. Abducting us gives them a great deal of biological information, but very little in way of cultural or social information. That must be done with observation. I don't think floating above us will give them any real information, but living with us and interacting with us would give them a great deal of information.
For example, we can watch monkeys/apes in their natural habitat for years on end, but only gain little in real "this is what we know for sure" information. Now, if we could dress like an ape, infiltrate their society, and communicate with them, think of the information we could gain.
