If you're unaware, Jared Loughner is the teenager who is charged in the 2011 Tucson, Arizona shooting that killed six people including Federal Judge John Roll and wounded 14 others, including U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords who was critically injured by a shot to her head at point-blank range. One of the victims was a 9 year old girl. He apparently was a member of abovetopsecret.com. We can never know on a computer, what the person we're chatting with might really be like. It's something to keep in mind www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread649091/pg1

People are capable of doing terrible things to one-another. This tragedy has opened the eyes of many, especially Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
I may disagree with many things Obama has said before in the past, but this most recent speech of his was very beautiful and inspiring. My heart goes out to the victims, their families, and everyone impacted by this tragedy.
Sarah Palin as well has offered her perspectives on this terrible tragedy.

Not only is this incident involving Jared Loughner a tragedy, it is also a symptom of one of the many things wrong with our society. We seem to put so much emphasis on fantasy, whether it be movies, television, video games, sporting contests or internet forums, that it is very easy for people to lose touch with reality. This can be especially problematic for young people like Jared, who are also burdened with the confusing emotional changes of adolescence. It is a shame that his confused fantasies had to spill over into reality and cause pain for so many people.

I seem to remember seeing the name erad3, either on the old MUFON forum or on Ufomania. I remember seeing him sign up but I don't think he ever posted anything. Could one of our forum members who hasn't been banned from Ufomania check to see if he is registered over there? I'm just curious...

I checked, there is no one by that name at UFOmania I also saw the speeches last night and thought the President was most heartwarming and gracious in his speech. I was deeply touched by the level of his sincerity and sensitivity.

I just found out that one of my friends whom I have known for years and years is a major drug addict who has been arrested more than two dozen times. I didn't have any idea he was even using drugs. It's amazing how little we really know about people, even those we are close to.
