Texas Dad says son 'terrified' after photographing hovering UFO

An 11-year-old Texas boy was "terrified" after watching and photographing a strange object about 10:15 p.m. on December 13, 2012, moving and hovering over Haslet, according to the father's testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.
Haslet is a town in Denton and Tarrant counties, population 1,517 in northeastern Texas. We previously reported on two UFO cases on the same date in Texas in: Texas witnesses report multiple objects moving at high speed.
The child and his uncle were outside watching shooting stars when the object was first seen.
"All if the sudden this object appeared out of nowhere with no tail, like a shooting star should have, and was quite brighter than anything they had seen," the father stated. "It went in a sharp northeast direction, stopped and hovered."
At this point, the boy began taking photos of the object with his iPhone. These were submitted with the MUFON report on December 14, 2012. The father then described the object's movements.
"The object changed direction backwards. Then it hovered again for approximately one minute and then shot off, this time leaving a U-shaped cloud."
The father described his son's emotions.
"My son, terrified, called me at work. He is 11. I told him to send me the pictured thinking it was a shooting star and I could let him know it was okay. After seeing the pictures and realizing there was no way he could have gotten so many pictures of a moving star, I realized it may be something else. The cloud of smoke left clearly looks like it was engaging back into space. I am, was, a non-believer, but these photos are sure strange."
