I put this in here specificly for a couple of people who I know will find it interesting reading. Thanks Jo. what is it when some one places a article of anything in your hand and you can tell who the person is that owned it just by holding it. I have done this at times when I was young. Never since though. Well I never tried it ... to tell you the truth and I had forgotten about it . For some reason your post brought it to mind. I would stand there and hold whatever I dug out of the ground.. in my hand and tried to visualize who stood in this spot a hundred or whatever years ago. Once I found this funny pen . Looked lke a war award for bravery or some other award. Right then standing next o me along the water's edge I could see a man there who was dressed in Mexican dress army clothes of yesteryear. . . Then he was gone . It was a vision. I still have this pen today. It is a goblet like vase with cross bow flags coming out of the top. It was still blue paint and the flags and sticks are white. the hook on back has been broken off . I looked for 25 years now for a metal like this. Oh yes the most important is the lower bar across it which would of held a ribbon of some sort.. |
